I guess I will post some of my labor details here :). So... Friday I had a little light pink spotting and very mild cramping... I tried not to read into it at all and till evening everything seemed normal again. I had my first contraction at 9:35pm and they were right away 9 minutes apart. I called DH to come home around 11 since they were getting closer and by 12am they were 5 minutes apart & we left to go to the hospital at 12:35am. Around 1am we were checked into a triage room. My OB checked me and I was at 5cm. We discussed getting an epidural since I was trying for a vbac and started to get an IV ready for that when my water broke. We left triage for a delivery room and till we got to delivery and I used the bathroom I started feeling super intense pressure. We realized it was time to push, no time for an epidural and I was so shocked! I pushed about 10 minutes and she was here! 4 hours from my first contraction! It was crazy and I couldn't believe it. We had only been at the hospital for about 40 minutes when she was born. Everything is going well and we are so happy. I can't wait to hear of more March arrivals! So far now all of my 3 births have been different... 1 csection, 1 vbac with epidural and 1 natural vbac.

So funny about my EDD:
the original 3/16 on the roll call was wrong (the receptionist gave it to me when I made the initial appointment) and technically should have been 3/25, but I've had a feeling all along that I'll deliver earlier. I had a growth scan last week and baby is measuring at 95th percentile so it's likely I'll be induced at 38 weeks. I'll see what my ob says this week about that at my appt with her. But it'll be interesting to see if my original "wrong" 3/16 date turns out "right"!

@MrsLilybugg: LOL!! What do you want your EDD to be on our list then? the 16th or the 25th?

@Alivoo01: LOL! Let's keep the 16th !! That way I can say "see? HB was right!" haha thanks!

Thanks soo much guys! Sat in the hospital on my own with the little guy who is sleeping!
I had been having Quite strong BHs for the last few weeks, and started losing the plug yesterday afternoon. Contractions started getting more regular throughout the evening but I was SO in denial, I didn't let DH ring his parents to come look after LO1 for ages! We ended up heading to the hospital about 1.30am, and I was so excited to be about to labour in the tub (not allowed during my induction with DS1). Then they found out my bp was 150/100! No more tub for me, I had to go and get strapped up to all the continuous monitoring machines! The whole thing was SO manageable though compared to my induction contractions. It all got a bit hairy towards the end after I started on the gas and air, and I definitely did a lot of 'I can't do this' shouting! But then he shot out in less than 1 min of pushing, such a surprise! He's all healthy and happy so far, I'm pretty sure he has a tongue tie like DS1, but planning on getting it looked at asap.
Wow that was rambly! Hope all you other March mummas are doing good!

@Bubbles: congrats !!! Wow less than a minute or pushing ?? Amazing !!! Enjoy your newborn!!!

Thanks guys! @MrsLilybugg: Yes it was ridiculously fast, completely took the midwife by surprise! One minute I was insisting I didn't know how to push (weird because last time I was all about the pushing), and the next he was out! She didn't have time to get a second midwife into the room or even to catch him, he just kinda crash landed on the bed!
Can't wait to see some more March babies arriving!

@Bubbles: great story, so fast but awesome! Congrats again!

@Bubbles: "crash landed on the bed" LOL!! Oh man! That's awesome he came out so quick and easily though! No tearing right?
persimmon / 1328 posts
@Alivoo01: haha yeah luckily no damage done! Yes I did have a little tear, I think because he came out so fast! The stitches were like the scariest part of the birth as I didn't have any last time so didn't know what to expect! I didn't know they gave you a local, I thought I'd just have to grit my teeth!

At hospital! Contractions started at 11 pm and came on fast and furious. Begged for epidural when admitted. Got it around 245 am. Now waiting and shaking and and resting.

8 cm at 6 am. Guess I'm not one of those second time moms who go super fast! But happy about progress
