@travellingbee: We are almost into some 9 month clothes too! Oddly still rockin' some 3 month things too though - baby clothes are all over the place with sizing! Mostly 6-9 month now.
I am in complete agreement with you and @Adira: I am a little jealous when I go shopping and see all the cute girl clothes. I will share a pic though of some super cute suspenders we got as a gift (I think they are from H&M. I love some of the things at baby Gap too but don't feel inclined to drop a ton of money on things he will grow out of so fast!

@dojo: AW! Holy Cow that is a cute kid!! Adorbs! We have one pair of overalls that are 3 months that still fit and that is about it. Makes me sad whenever we box up the previous size.
Have y'all seen these videos about typical development? I think they are very interesting.

Oh and Lukas just rolled from tummy to back while we were playing!!! It was just once but if he could just master that skill, our sleep would be so much better! No more getting stuck on belly..... please?

@Smurfette: That's too bad about not being able to swaddle at daycare! Hopefully she will be able to get some rest during the day without it!
I think my supply has taken a little bit of a hit - possible due to me being a little sick or possibly due to Liam being sick. I usually am able to get 8-10 oz in the mornings when I pump then 6 oz in the afternoon and evening - but the past two days I'm only getting about 6 oz in the morning and 4 or so in the afternoon and evening. I've had to take a bit from the freezer and now I'm a little worried. Has anyone had this happen then it go back to 'normal' or did you have to take or do something to bring the supply back up?
persimmon / 1223 posts
@travellingbee:Yay for rolling! Hopefully he will try to practice his skill at night so that he won't get stuck on his tummy!

@Smurfette: Wow! Is R eats 20oz at daycare, how much is she eating at home?? I was thinking 20oz at daycare would be ridiculous for Xander, but maybe it's not??
@dojo: OMG, your LO is soooooooo friggin cute!!!!
I've taken a hit before with my supply from being sick, but it's usually only an ounce or two over the whole day, and it comes back once I've over being sick. But this illness I have now is affecting me more than other colds, so I'm not sure I'll rebound as easily. I decided to start taking supplements to help me.
@travellingbee: Uh oh... Xander's definitely not where he should be for some of those in the video!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Adira: Well I think it is just "typical", but like the growth charts, there is a range. But what do you think he is not doing yet? I watch those and then test them out on L. LOL
persimmon / 1223 posts
@Adira: boo maybe I need to try some supplements to boost it up - last night I had to grab 4 oz out of the freezer and after my two pumping sessions today I think I may need to do the same tomorrow! Liam has been eating less I think since he's been sick - hard to tell when he nurses but he has been less interested a few times and I wonder if that affects supply at all.
persimmon / 1223 posts
@travellingbee: I will have to test Liam tonight to see if his skills are up to par! hehe
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@travellingbee: I wasn't able to watch all of.them, but Xander doesn't pt his arms in front of him when on his tummy. He doesn't use them to help lift his head at all. Though he's not as behind as the atypical development. He can lift his head 90 degrees and follow objects and he can reach for toys, so he's not total off. And with the lift to sitting, he does have head lag, though maybe I'm pulling too quickly? The lag is only on the initial pull and then he tuck the chin and helps out. I'll have to watch the rest of the video and test him some more. Thanks for posting it!!

@dojo: he is adorable!!! I the suspenders!
@travellingbee: I will have to watch those when not on my phone. Yeah for rolling back to back!!!
@dojo: When I was sick my supply went down and then went back up but I also started taking more supplements.
@Adira: She had 4 bottles today at DC cause of the timing. She doesn't eat at the same times every day. So today I nursed first thing, 4 bottles at DC, and now nursing before bed.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Oh, okay! So still six feeds before bed. That makes sense.
By the way, that More Milk Plus stuff tastes disgusting!!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: told you!!! That is why I am so bad at taking it. I drink the mothers milk tea and iris actually good.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: I probably should have gotten the capsules instead so I wouldn't have to taste this. I wonder if I'll be good about taking it since it's so terrible!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: They had them at the store I was at, but said the capsules weren't as affective, which is why I didn't get them!
@travellingbee: Okay, just watched the rest of it. I'll have to test Xander with the in the air stuff, so I have no idea how he is with that, but he's definitely behind with standing. He can't support his weight on his legs yet, though we've been practicing every day and he IS getting better! I'm curious how he does with the other stuff.
apricot / 338 posts
@travellingbee: thanks for posting i have to try it on lo. I think he could be still atypical in some of those movements standing up he doesn't put weight on his legs. I got boppy for tummy time and he is doing better since that. I got it online it was pink in color but the description said monkeys so I thought boy design but guess what it is pretty girl monkeys with flowers on head! haha but baby doesn't care either way.
@dojo: I take the mother love supplements and it helps bring supply back up also I eat lactation cookies yummy and oatmeal is good for supply! Your lo is too cute!!
persimmon / 1223 posts
@silver1: Look at all that hair!!! So cute! I think I would prefer cookies over supplements... maybe I'll have oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow.
@travellingbee: So DH and I watched the video and then tested Liam. I think Marty is pretty impressive and I feel sad for Owen the way they keep pointing out what he doesn't do - hahaha. I have to just remind myself that babies all develop in their own time. Liam seems to do some of the things pretty well but doesn't measure up to Marty that's for sure...

@dojo: Oh.My.Goodness. He is just too sweet! And those suspenders! I haven't been sick (well, except for allergies?), but I HAVE noticed several days where I feel like my supply has dropped. Boobs just aren't that full. K is punching and tugging at my boobs and I have to feed from both sides. I've been taking Fenugreek in capsules, once a day. I could probably increase to a few times a day, but I don't like the smell. People say it makes you smell like maple syrup, but I think it smells something awful.
@travellingbee: Ooh! Interesting video! It froze on me mid-way, so I will try to finish it tomorrow! Poor "Owen" - He looks so much smaller though, I really wonder if they just used a younger baby for all the "atypical" behavior. So far, I think K is pretty much there will all the typical behavior, except she has not rolled over on the ground (does it on the bed), and doesn't reach forward w/her arms when on her tummy. But both of those I think she has no interest in doing. She's perfectly content just finding her fists.
I've never tried the pulling/sit-up, so I'm glad to have some other things to work on her with. Thanks for sharing this - so helpful with the visuals!
@silver1: What a cutie! lol about the monkeys! How many weeks/months is he? I just noticed a big difference in K in the past 3 weeks.
honeydew / 7589 posts
@travellingbee: My baby too! While she still fits into most (but not all) of her 3-6 stuff, she's wearing some 9 month stuff from Children's Place! She fits in 3-6 from Tea Collection, but she's outgrown that size at Target.
She'll be 4 months on Friday.
Also, we are moving tomorrow! I'm super duper stressed and have so much to do, but I'm really relieved to be moving. We're going to be way closer to DH's work for one thing, which will be cutting his commute from an hour each way to fifteen minutes. Yay!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@silver1: OMG!!!! Look at all that hair!!!! Soooo cute!!!!
@dojo: I feel bad for Owen too!!! I had to start skipping some of the atypical development stuff because I wanted to cry watching poor Owen.
@Arden: Oh wow! Good luck moving!!! That must be so much harder to do with a baby. But it's great you'll be living closer to your husband's work!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@silver1: OMG, I am dying over his hair! I love it. Jealous I wish R had that much hair.
@travellingbee: I watched the video last night, I think R can do most but I am going to see this weekend when DH is home so he can watch the video and tell me what to try.
@dojo: I was watching and just felt sad for Owen too! He looks miserable.
@Arden: Good Luck moving!! It was hard enough moving 35 weeks pregnant, I can't imagine doing it with a baby. But that is awesome your DH will be closer.

Is R the only one still wearing some 0-3 clothes?? My little peanut needs to gain some weight.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: haha, yes! You have a tiny baby. Actually, Xander can probably wear 0-3/3 pants just fine, though they might be slightly short. And maybe footless sleepers, but we don't have any of those to try out. All the onesies though are too short and are tight around the diaper. And the sleepers we have are too short and his feet get cramped. So we've moved to all 3-6/6 clothes.
Although, I'm curious - do you put your clothes in the dryer? I do find that 0-3/3 onesies actually WOULD still fit if they hadn't gotten shrunk in the dryer. I had a new one I hadn't used yet and that fit him just fine. I decided to wash it and then hang it to dry and so it still fit him. But then I forgot the next time and put it in the dryer, so now it's too small. Sad face.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Also, I totally lied to you because I totally underestimated how big my freezer stash is! I thought I was going to completely deplete it this week since I'm sending all frozen to daycare so I can send all fresh to the grandparents' this weekend, but I'm NOT! After using frozen for THREE days, I still have 180oz left in the freezer!!!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Smurfette: We're still mostly wearing 0-3 with occasional forays into the next size.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Girl, do I put clothes in the dryer? Heck yeah, no way I would air dry all that laundry! She goes through two outfits most days.
That is AWESOME about your stash! I should add mine up Friday night when I freeze Friday's pumping. I pull them all out to find the oldest bags to put at the front of the freezer to put in the fridge Sunday morning. I need to organize it better. How do you have yours?
@Mrs. Blue: That makes me feel better. I am starting to use 3-6 onesies cause 0-3 are getting a little tight. Dresses she has to wear 3-6 cause of the length. But I tried a pair of 3-6 shorts and they just fell right off. She is eating good, just not gaining weight. Wish I knew why. Heaven knows she didn't those genes from me!!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Smurfette: Our state has the same rule about swaddling their arms down. SO annoying. I worry about Finn's weight gain, too. Elliot is getting downright chunky, but Finn is jut so much slower to put on weight, even when he's drinking just as much as E, which makes zero sense.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: haha, guess R really is a peanut then if you're shrinking her clothes like I am and they still fit! Although I DO think Xander has a long torso, so I think that's most of the problem. Actually, I think I put him in 0-3 pants just a few days ago and they fit just fine. So I think it's really his torso that is long. And then he has these short little legs, haha.
So I JUST re-organized my stash because it was getting hard to find the oldest that I wanted to pull out for Mondays. And now I do what you're not supposed to do and store some of it in the door of the freezer, haha. But the way that I do it is I have the oldest organized by date in the door - I pull 8 from there every Sunday night for Monday's bottles. Then I have two bins that have the rest of my milk. I organize them front-to-back, with the front being the oldest and back being the newest. I pull 8 from the front and put in the door, and then I add to the back the stuff I froze on Friday. I should take a picture so it makes more sense.

@Mrs. Blue: We are swaddling arms out. She still likes that tightness on her chest. We have to change it at home so she will start napping better at day care. I really would love to not have to use a sleep sack at all but I think she likes it.

Popping in! Think I posted this @Smurfette: but just in case, we're firmly in 9 month clothing and size 3 diapers. Both of my kids have been super chubsters. She and her brother are neck in neck for growth it seems.
She's become a wiggle worm! Not crawling by any stretch but baby girl can maneuver into some funky positions. She's drooling even more than usual lately but is happy, so I'm not sure it's teething yet. I keep checking though. Bg brother popped his first tooth around 5 months.
We also seem to have managed to sleep train unintentionally - night time sleep has gotten great. She's started puttin herself to sleep in her crib after bottle and cuddles. Sleepy but awake and happy. Normally she'll give me a good eight hour stretch before needing another bottle. Then she'll sleep for another two to three hours. Now if only she could get naps down! Those are hell.
I think that's everything!
ETA: we've been swaddle weaned completely cold turkey since 3 months.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: haha, they're just Chinese take-out bins! They're not perfect, but they're a pretty good width for the bags, and when they are stuffed full, everything stays pretty good. I'll try to remember to take a picture tonight for you!

@Adira: I probably hang-dry at least 1/2 of K's clothes. I don't want to put any of her dresses or nice clothes in the dryer. And Favorite sleepers, I do hang dry because I want her to get more wear out of them. A little obsessive, I know. But we hang dry probably 80% of our own clothes too. It just keeps everything looking nicer!
@Smurfette: Yes, R must be a peanut! What are her latest stats? K was 13.3 lbs and 24 1/4" about a week ago. We go in for another shot this Friday, so we'll get updates then. She is probably 50/50 in 0-3 and 3-6 clothing right now. But I'm on rotation to phasing everything out 0-3 except for my favorites - so after she wears them one more time each, they get packed away. This way I can start using more new clothes!
Last night I took K to the Swimming Center near us and I registered us for Parent & Me classes! I'm SO excited! I was hoping to take her for her first lesson yesterday, but she ended up napping at both times. And the classes are real short. Hoping to make one today. They require 2 diapers (1 disposable, 1 reusable), so I went to Target last night and bought them. The disposables seem to only go to 16lbs for the smallest (size 3-4). We're just barely fitting in the 2's now, so I'm hoping it will be OK. Apparently, if any poop gets out into the pool, they charge $500 for cleaning. Anyone try using the swim diapers yet? I'm going to put her in a swimsuit still because she has sooo many of them - so that's 3 layers of protection!

@Smurfette: I bought 2 of these Sterlite bins (for ice cubes) at Target after seeing this post: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/found-perfect-freezer-storage-container-for-my-breast-milk#post-789587
They're the perfect width and height!

@shopaholic: Oh, I hang dry almost ALL of MY clothes, haha. I refuse to let any of my clothes shrink! But I'm not as thoughtful when it comes to Xander's clothes. Oh well!! I figure he's going to grow out of them eventually anyway, so what if it's a little sooner because it got shrunk in the dryer?
I actually almost bought disposable swim diapers but had the same issue as you - they didn't have our size! So I ended up buying a reusable swim diaper! We've worn it once but he didn't do anything in it yet, so I'm not sure how it will end up working. It has pretty strong elastics though, so I feel like if he DID poop in it, it would contain it pretty well!
I'll have to see if I can find those Sterlite bins you have. They look waaaay better than what I'm using!!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@shopaholic: That is right. I forgot about that. Will add to my Target list for the weekend.
She was 12.8lbs and 24 5/8 on the 11th at her 4 month appointment. We got for a weigh check on the 1st. I guess it is a good thing it is summer, since her pants are capri's since she can't fit in the 3-6 in the waist.
Maybe I should throw all her 3-6 shorts and pants in the dryer on high and hope they shrink some Been wearing 0-3 for 3 months now, I am over these clothes.
I do hang dry most of my clothes too, but her's seems too much.
The swim lessons sound fun!! I was telling DH over the weekend, we need to go visit friends that have a pool so we can take her for the first time.
bananas / 9973 posts
@Adira: @Smurfette: It seems easy enough to hang most of her stuff. Except for pants/bottoms, sleepers, and most onesies. Those do just go in the dryer. But I guess we don't actually wear too many onesies these days? I'm just trying to make sure she gets some wear out of all the many dresses she has!
Yes, those bins are awesome! I will keep buying them for the freezer in our garage to keep them organized!
@Smurfette: Tall and skinny! What every woman dreams of!
@Adira: Glad to hear! I just tried the reusable over one of her regular diapers and the bathing suit on top. Seems to have pretty good security. I just worry that BF poop is more watery/runny than say older kids with solid poop. Hoping it can all be contained!

@dojo: No luck. Still woke up twice freaking out because he was on his tummy. Tired mom here.
@Adira: What form is your More Milk Plus? I have the capsules which don't taste like anything but then I burp maple flavor for a while. Gross, LOL.
@NaturallyCathy: So jealous of your sleep right now. Where did my good little sleeper go? He is like a different baby!
@Arden: Good luck on your move!
@shopaholic: Poor Owen. I have watched all of the videos that follow them as they develop. I don't think he is younger. I think he is developmentally delayed. He is so cute and sad. I always feel bad for him.
@shopaholic: L's been wearing swim diapers for a while- he went into a pool a little over a month ago for the first time. They fit him great but he's been in a size 3 diaper for a bit now. I think it's ok if they are a little big though.
Speaking of size, I think L is hitting another growth spurt, Lord help us. He gained 1/2 pound in less than a week. He hasn't been gaining like that in a while. He's up to 17 lbs already. What a chunk.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@travellingbee: I have the tincture, so it's a liquid/herb thing that you take with a dropper! You're supposed to take 1mL four times a day! And it tastes disgusting! The woman at the shop said it was like black liquorish, but it is soooooo much more disgusting!
