@Adira: I hear you on feeling like I neglect the hubby. He is gone during the week, so we only have 3 nights together, since he gets home on Thursday's when I am going to bed. I told him last night I am a bad wife since I know we should have had sex but I was so tired. It is has been like 2 or 3 weeks now. He of course said that I am not a bad wife, called me Super Mom. Which I appreciate he sees everything I do for R but I don't like that I have no energy for us. Once this tooth pops through I am going to get a sitter for a night so we can have another date night.

@Smurfette: At least you have the excuse of not seeing your husband every day! I don't even have that, haha! And that's awesome that he's so understanding - my husband isn't. He just complains about how much I neglect him... which doesn't really get me in the mood! I'm just hoping once we start eating dinner sooner, things will improve! And I'm going to TRY to make him more of a priority. I think if we can get back into our groove of spending more time together, he'll be more open to baby #2! And having a date night is a good idea!!! I hope you're able to have one soon!

Oh! I think someone asked me if we had a well-visit coming up (or maybe I'm going crazy). Our six-month well-visit isn't until September 13th, unfortunately! I'm really excited to find out how big Xander is now!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: We go on the 13th as well!! Two days after her 6 month bday. Hopefully Friday the 13th won't mean bad weighs for our babies.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Oh fun! What time is your appointment? Mine's at 8:00 a.m. And I agree! Hopefully both our babies have good weigh-ins!

Boo!!! Hubs is messing up my solids plan!! He's supposed to be making dinner right now and he's not even home yet!!!

Guess who slept a total of 4 hours at daycare today?! Wha?! He never does that for me!!
@Adira: he needs to hurry up so we can see cute pics of Xander eating'
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@travellingbee: Nice!!! Xander never sleeps that long during the day!!
Hubs is finally home and I immediately set him to cooking! Xander's taking a short after-nursing catnap and then it will be food time!!!

@travellingbee: That is awesome!!!
@Adira: I was wondering how it was going!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I think this face says it all: WTF is this and why are you trying to put it in my mouth??
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: He wouldn't let you give him any? Are you going to try it again tomorrow?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: I got a spoonful in his mouth, but his expression was just horrified and he let most of it fall out. When I tried to give him more, he pretty much clamped his lips shut and frowned at me!
ETA: His expression pretty much told me that he thought it was disgusting!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: Sorry!! But that is too cute that he clamped up his mouth. Try it again tomorrow night. They say give each food 3 or 4 days. Or you could try adding BM so it is more familiar to him.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Yeah, I'll definitely try again tomorrow!! And I might try adding some BM too. I'm not too concerned about it. It was fun having a family dinner.

@Adira: @Adira: K's original appt. for 6 month was on the 13th too. But I think I moved it to the following Monday.
@Adira: LOL! Such a great pic!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: oh did yall eat at the same time? That is so cute!!

@Adira: So cute. I'm sure after a few tries he will realize how delicious food is. So cute in his high chair.
@shopaholic: Loving the bling!
Isaac goes for shots on the 18th of Sept. I'm looking forward to find out his stats.

@shopaholic: so cute!! How did she react?
I weighed myself and then with R. High scientific but it says she weighs 15 lbs, which means she gained 2lbs in August, so I am thinking that can't be right.

@Adira: awww! He is probably jealous of your yummy looking dinner! That is so cute that you guys all had a family dinner. He looks so cute in his highchair!
@Shopaholic: I love her bling!
We started with some rice cereal over the weekend... and Liam was NOT a fan. So I thought 'hey maybe it's because it tastes nasty... let's try some avocado...' nope he hated that too. We can get a few bites in but he doesn't seem to like it much at all so far. Tonight he gagged and then once I picked him up out of his chair he threw up. All.Over.Me.

@ALV91711: @Adira: @Smurfette: @dojo: Thank you ladies! It was REALLY hard to get any picture of her looking at the camera w/the earrings today. I also put her in the stroller seat for the first time and she was so curious and kicking her legs non-stop.
She only napped a total of 52 min. today (and 20 of that was on the boob). She was the biggest fussy-butt ever at dinner tonight! I had to take her by myself to Korean BBQ for my BFF's last dinner out before baby #2 (she gets induced tomorrow morning). K wouldn't sit, she was just loud and been arching her back for the last 2 days. Seriously exhausting. Is anyone else's LO starting to act fussier than normal? I don't know what to blame this on. Growth spurt, Wonder Week, end of the "you can't spoil a baby" - is it possible she's starting to get tot he point where she CAN be spoiled if I react to her fussing? It was just really tough and unusual tonight!
@Smurfette: It was also difficult to get her ears marked - took 3 of us over 30 min. to get the precise markings we were okay with. She just kept moving! Cried for about a minute after getting pierced, but then I just nursed her. And she was fine by the time we left the office, smiling at the nurses!
@dojo: Maybe he's not ready for solids yet.
persimmon / 1223 posts
@Shopaholic: Do you think it could be teething? That's what I have been attributing Liam being more fussy to. I haven't seen anything under the surface of his gums but he has been drooling and fussing more than normal lately so I figured that it must be teething.
I was thinking he might not be ready for solids (that's ok with me!) but then I figure it's gotta be really weird to have all new tastes and textures so maybe he will start to like it more after a few more times.
bananas / 9973 posts
@dojo: Definitely COULD be teething! She's been doing weird things with her lower jaw - makes for funny pictures! But I feel like I've been saying she's been "teething" for 2 months already! I still see a lot of white little dots and it has been harder feeling for about a week. But then she will laugh and smile when I entertain her - so not sure if it's teething then?
I'm okay if K's not ready for solids yet either! Actually, the weird thing that I feel strange about giving her is water. IDK why - I wonder if they "need" it since we were told they didn't need it until now?

hi all... things have been rough around here... and it isn't my 6 month old baby. if you guys think baby sleep is bad, don't get me started on toddler sleep... ahhhhhh!! that is all. i am exhausted and really want to escape my life right now.

@Mrs. High Heels: I feel ya. A life vacation sounds lovely. L was up nearly every hour last night. I'm dying.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@dojo: Oh no!!! Sorry Liam threw up on you! Xander wasn't a fan of the sweet potato I gave him either. Hopefully we'll find SOMETHING they like!
@shopaholic: I feel like I've been saying that Xander's been teething for months too! And I don't even see any evidence of any teeth coming up, so maybe I'm just using it as an excuse every time he's fussy! Who knows!!! Hope K gets back to normal for you soon.
@Mrs. High Heels: Yikes! So sorry to hear your sleep struggles!!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@shopaholic: What stroller do you have? Did she like it? R has days where she is fussier for sure. We are in a wonder week, that lasts for like 28 days or something stupid like that. R didn't have "normal" teething symptoms. Only like a day or two of drool, then it has been loose stools, runny nose, spitting up, major diaper rash. K having any of those?
@dojo: How can he hate avacado?? I will be heartbroken if R hates it. I want her to love it so I have a reason to buy more. Sorry he threw up on you.
@Mrs. High Heels: Sorry you are having a rough week. I hope N starts to feel better and yall get some sleep. A break from life would be nice some days for sure.
@travellingbee: Sorry you had a rough night last night. Is he working on another tooth breaking out?
bananas / 9973 posts
@Adira: Thanks! She's had so many of the symptoms for months already - even the doctor told me so. But I will be perfectly fine if she doesn't get teeth for another 3 or 4 months! lol!
@Smurfette: The UB Vista. She seemed to really like it a lot! I still used a snuggler inside to keep her from rolling around side to side. I know... what is this stupid wonder "week" deal? We're in a wonder "month!"
Well - her stool always seems "loose"? I mean, isn't all EBF poop runny and loose? She is ALWAYS drooling and spitting up...
@dojo: I love avocado too. But I think it might be an acquired taste as they get older. I mean, entirely plain, avocado doesn't taste like much!

I am attempting to take K by myself to the beach for the first time today!!! It's a mommy meet-up, but I'm nervous about hauling everything by myself! I've got a pop-up tent, umbrella, blanket, towels, baby, and diaper bag. I've never been to this "Baby Beach", but I hope it has a stroller parking area like the beach I usually go to.
Anyone taken their LOs to the beach yet? Since we're only a week and half away from 6 months, I'll probably use sunscreen on her if she gets in the sun. Nervous, but excited!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@shopaholic: Oh fun!!! Good luck at the beach! We've been, but not REALLY. We went to a little beach for a friend's LO's birthday party and we were only there for maybe 2 hours, so I didn't have to bring all my gear and we kept Xander in the stroller almost the whole time we were there to keep him in the shade. And my pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to use sun screen on them before 6 months - it's better than getting burnt! Good luck to you!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@shopaholic: We are going to get the Bob. DH wants one to go running with, so hopefully it will work for any everyday stroller too. No one ever says anything bad about them. It better work out so expensive. R's poop is always runny but it seems even worse lately.
@shopaholic: I would use sunscreen. We used some at 5 months when we took her to the pool. Just made sure she got a good bath that night. No beach since we are 4+hours away from one. but the thought of doing it by myself, stresses me out. Good luck!! Can't wait to see her rocking a bathing suit on IG.
bananas / 9973 posts
@Adira: Thanks! I think I'll only do 2-3 hours too.
@Smurfette: Yay! I've never heard a bad thing about the BOB. I'm getting one too for walking/running and for the mountains/hiking. I hate making the wheels on my UBV nasty (there's lots of weird seed things on the trail I walk). I've just been waiting for a day DH can go with me to pick one up. My GF had the Bugaboo Cameleon, Orbit, UB G Luxe, and the BOB. She said she loves the BOB the best and sold the first 2 super-expensive strollers!
