@twobee: I know, we are chatty people. I probably post too much complaining about my lack of sleep No advice on the bumper since we aren't rolling yet. She will roll to her side but always rolls back. We do have a breathable bumper a friend let us borrow. I will probably see if that works if we start having this issue.

@twobee: Yeah we often find him with his feet through the slats too. I worry about the same thing but so far he hasn't gotten hurt.

Quick update from my neck of the woods and a brief apology: I do keep up with what everyone's saying/questioning/complaining about but I don't always have a chance to respond right away so by the time I get back around to it, it's already been resolved/in the works/ etc. I promise I'm not neglecting my fellow March Mamas (and honorary March Mamas )
Aaaand quick update before one or both of my children wake up - Sleeping in a crib is going really well. She seems to like it a lot better. I know I'm getting more sleep and I think she is too. We're still in size 2 diapers, having tried size 3 and finding that there was too much room for the poop to seep everywhere despite the 'leak guards'. We'll give it another week or two for her to chub up some more before switching her back into them. I was concerned at first that the size 2 weren't covering enough of her backside but found that she was swimming in size 3. Just in case @Smurfette: was wondering
Eating well, still primarily formula with some breast milk. We're a little more consistently eating than we were. Still enjoying eating our fingers, have discovered our hands and can now grasp/go after toys. Not consistently rolling although she has rolled a few more times since Saturday. Still very talkative.
And currently awake in her crib talking to no one, wanting to be gotten up (I can hear her over the monitor) so - gotta dash!

@travellingbee: Awww, sorry to hear about the goat cheese! What a bummer! Poor Lukas.
@twobee: Oh my gosh, go C on the rolling!!! Although this is my fear too - that Xander will roll onto his tummy in his sleep and not be able to roll back and FLIP OUT. He hates being on his tummy! But still - you've gotta be proud that she did it! And I have no advice about the bumpers or not. You could always get mesh ones, so that you don't have to worry about breathing. But I hear it makes it a pain to change the sheet, so I don't know.
@NaturallyCathy: Glad to hear E is doing well in the crib! It's always a relief when transitions like that go over well! And I can only imagine how busy you are with TWO young children, so no worries if you can't be on-line 24/7 like @Smurfette and me!

I may have just laid down on the floor in the Mother's Room and tried to take a nap...

Andy is supposed to be napping. He is exhausting, yawning and rubbing his eyes. We've tried to get him to sleep for 2+ hours now.

@aprk: I must say though, those are some stylin' duds. Too cute!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@aprk: Gahhh, he's so adorable!!! And I love his outfit! I love the little animals on the butt, haha. What size is that outfit? I think you should send it to me for Xander to wear.
Also, I'm impressed he's using his arms to lift his head. Xander doesn't do that. He just spreads his arms out to the side like he's trying to fly.

Wow, busy morning on here!
Last night sleep almost didn't happen. He was asleep by 10:30 and the first time up was 1 am then it aw every 1-2 hours until he decided to stay awake at 8. Yuck! He nursed three of those times and other times had a burp or wanted to be rocked back to sleep. He is nursing now and I'm hoping will have a nap so I can too.
@Smurfette: I do not know how you are making it through the work day.
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@NaturallyCathy: they are terry cloth - cute and cozy!
@Adira: haha thanks I thinks it's Carter's 3 months. He's almost out of it. I think he doesn't want to sleep because rolling around is way more fun.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Glad that E is doing so great in the crib. I can't wait to meet her, in all her chubbly fabulousness, and you of course, this weekend.
@Adira: I was going to take a nap when I pumped today, but I figured I better read the sleep solution training book.
@aprk: Sorry!! It is so frustrating when they are tired but won't sleep. I love the raccoon on his bum.

@ALV91711: Sorry you had a rough night along with me. We should call each other and chat

@Adira: This was R on Sunday. She uses her legs to lift too.
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@Smurfette: I hear that! A is up every 1.5/2 hours at night also ... props to you for dealing with that AND working!
@ALV91711: that's what I'm afraid of!

@aprk: What is wrong with these babies?? Don't they know how wonderful sleep is!!! Does A eat every time he wakes up? How do you get him back to sleep?
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@Smurfette: I know!! At least we got cute ones I feed him the first time he wakes up, usually somewhere between 4 and 6 hours after he went down. Then the second time I try and have my husband deal with him. Sometimes he'll go back down other times (more often) he screams so I feed him. Rinse and repeat

We have family arriving today and sadly I don't have time to catch up on the busy thread (I love how chatty the March Mommas are!) but I just want to chirp in to say how cute R and Andy look! I just love their little faces and bodies at this age!
Does anyone have any 4th of July outfits planned? We have some Stars and Stripes-themed diapers from honest.com that I've been saving for this week!
@mrs. High heels: whoa I cannot believe the PB incident at daycare. I gasped when i read it! I think the precautions you took after the incident are super smart and I bookmarked the post in case we ever find out one of our LOs has a severe allergy. I'm glad the dc has become more aware of and sensitive to allergy issues.

@QueensBee: I found an outfit at a consignment sale back in February. I bought 3-6 months thinking she would be in that size. Little peanut it going to need a safety pin to hold up her skort. I will post pictures. It is supposed to be raining here all day so I am not sure we will even be doing anything now.

Sooo many cute babies!!!!
@adira: I've taken a work floor nap at lunch everyday since I've been pregnant. So wrong, yet so right...
Kelsey is still in size 1 diapers - I feel like she's the only one?!? I tried on size 2's this weekend and they just seemed too big. Hopefully I'm not hurting her by stuffing her into too small diapers?

@Smurfette: @aprk: What cuties! I am such a sucker for babies on their tummies. Case in point: my avatar
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@aprk: Oh, 3 months... too small for Xander!
@Smurfette: Oh, good idea! Did it give you some good tips?
Gahhh!!!! I love her!!!!! She's so adorable!!!!
@sheskrafty: Glad I'm not the only one!! How big is Kelsey? She might not need size 2s. Though if you have any blowouts, you might want to try going up a size. They looked HUGE on Xander at first, but they definitely helped with the mess.
@Smurfette: @aprk: Here's Xander doing tummy time. Not sure if you can tell, but he just has his arms out to the side, getting in the way of any potential rolling.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I haven't gotten that far yet. Nothing yet on how to get her to sleep! Look at that smirk. Reagan isn't any where close to rolling over from her tummy. She moves only by kicking her feet. It is pretty funny
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@Adira: does X suck on his hands? I think that why A's are always up close to his face and out of the way for rolling.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: That's how Xander rotates, though he can only do it on his back. He kicks his legs up, does a slight tilt to the side, kicks his legs down. Sometimes when I put him to bed, all I can hear is him banging around in the crib, kicking!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@aprk: He does, though not when he's on his stomach. If he's on his back though, I can hardly get his hands out of his mouth! He'll even stop nursing just to suck on his hands!

@Adira: R will also lift her hands and feet at the same time. Like she is belly surfing. I keep rolling her to show her how to do it and she looks at me like I am crazy.
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@Adira: he figured it out by getting on his side, sucking his hands, and then moving his giant head all the way over.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Wow I don't think Lukas can pick his head up as far as any of your babies! Well, for short periods of time I guess. He HATES tummy time and ALWAYS spits up as soon as he gets on his tum so it just doesn't happen as much as it should. I need to start making an effort to put him down on his tummy.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: so cute!! Isaac does the same thing on his back to move around. I still wonder when he will roll.
@Smurfette: She is so adorable!
@aprk: Isaac gets distracted from rolling by his hands and arms. He gets half way then starts sucking on them.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@travellingbee: R will spit up if I put her on her tummy within an hour of eating. So I try and do it right before nursing. That way too when she gets upset after 5-10mins, nursing calms her down.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@travellingbee: I do the same thing as @Smurfette. Xander will spit up if he's on his tummy too close to when he last ate, so I try to do it right before he's going to nurse!
@aprk: Xander's way to roll over is to whip his head to the side as hard and as far as he can and hope the momentum will carry the rest of his body over!! He fails a lot of the time, haha.

and the hits just keep coming......I have a clogged duct again
Poor @shopaholic: she is going to be so behind on this thread when she gets back. Although I shouldn't feel bad for her, since she is in Italy right now.

@Adira: haha, I love it!
@Smurfette: ugh. Hopefully it clears quickly!

Apparently someone is goIng to nurse every 1.5 hours today. I think it is because he is tired and has decided that this is his preferred method to fall asleep today.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@ALV91711: maybe he will sleep really good with that full belly.
R napped for 5 hours today. She is so exhausted but won't sleep at night

We just got our birth announcement congratulations/greetings from the White House. What cool mail to get! I made my husband open the envelopes super carefully because I want to save them too. Did anyone else send an announcement in?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Apparently the reason I've been so tired today is because I'm sick! Over 100° temperature. No wonder I feel like crap. Thankfully Xander decided to take a nap when we got home, so I was able to take one too. Though now I just feel light-headed and nauseous. Hubs says he'll take over baby duty when I'm done feeding him, so hopefully I can go back to bed.
