@travellingbee: Wow, great shot! I cannot believe he is standing already!

@adira: @smurfette: Haha, baby cursing! Love it.

@adira: Great news!! So impressed that you successfully dropped the dream feed!

Morning, friends! Status quo with the bumps this morning. Still 4 on his face and 11 in a cluster on his waist. I wonder if an insect got into his crib at home or at daycare? At least they don't appear to be spreading and he isn't bothered by them so I'll take it!

@shopaholic: Sorry you guys had such a rough day yesterday. How are you feeling? Did she finally sleep?

  4. Adira

@QueensBee: Do you think maybe it's an allergic reaction to something he ate?? So weird!! I hope they go away soon!

  5. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@QueensBee: It isn't HFM is it?

  6. QueensBee

    pear / 1718 posts

@Adira: @Smurfette: I have considered both and I'm not totally sure. He had the bumps when I picked him up at daycare yesterday. His teacher pointed them out to me, and she called them mosquito bites. I feel like she would be more concerned if they they resembled HFM bumps?

His new food this week was green beans, although I did put mix a tiny bit of butter in when I pureed them, so it could be a green bean or milk allergy. ( I hope not!)

I'm close with the nurse at my school (because I pump in her office), so I mentioned it to her and doesn't think I should be too concerned. She also mentioned that the face bumps could be unrelated to the abdomen bumps, which could have been caused by irritation from the adhesive on the diaper band. So, I'm continuing to keep an eye on it and really hoping that they just go away!

Thanks for the concern and helpful tips! Will let you know!

@QueensBee: Good point about the day care teacher. Glad that the school nurse doesn't think it is anything. Keep us posted. We just switched back to Huggies, cause Pampers seemed to be making R itch herself.

@QueensBee: The locations of the bumps make me think it's not HFM. I think usually HFM is located on the fingers and toes and around the mouth, although with Xander, it made his eczema flare up so he was covered all over!! Hopefully whatever it is clears up soon!

@Adira: That is an awesome stretch of sleep! I hope he does it again.

@shopaholic: I hope she fell asleep and you were both able to get some rest.

@silver1: Sounds good to have a night away! I hope those clogs go away soon.

@travellingbee: Wow! I can't believe he stood on his own!

@QueensBee: I'm glad the bumps didn't spread. Hope that they clear up soon.

I felt like a bad mama this morning. Apparently Isaac slept in a poopy diaper last night. He woke up about 10:30 fussing and a bit of crying. It never got really bad and he went back to sleep after about 20 min. We didn't even go check on him. Well when he got up to nurse I changed his diaper and there was a poop. No wonder he woke up early. Oops! I can't even remember the last time he pooped at night.

@ALV91711: Not a bad mama. He's fine! It happens!
@Adira: @Smurfette: Ha ha about the cruising/cursing. I wondered if that is what you meant too! Like he was cursing because he falls down. LOL No he hasn't started cruising. Just pulling up where he can and standing.
@QueensBee: I agree that it doesn't sound like HFM because of where it is clustered. That sounds like a reaction to something like the diaper or clothes. The shot was actually a video that I took a screen-shot from.

It's my birthday today and DH took the night wake-up last night and made me breakfast this morning! Eggs, bacon and a pumpkin croissant! Yum! Off to a very nice start! Then I was finally able to pump a normal amount. I have been struggling the last week with my supply but this morning I pumped 7 1/2 ounces in one session so that is back to normal! Thanks for the bday present, body!

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@ALV91711: Girl, that was happening like almost every night at our house for a couple weeks. Only she wouldn't wake up at night so I didn't know to check. And you never know maybe he just pooped!
@travellingbee: Happy Birthday!!! Is this the weekend you are staying in a hotel?

@ALV91711: I've done that before! Don't feel bad!!!

@travellingbee: Wow! I can't believe L is standing so well! He's so well-grounded! K will stand with assistance, but lately is half on her tip-toes. Looks like someone will need a walker soon!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! What a nice hubby and body for making your day start on a happy note! Are you a Scorpio then too? My bday is this week too - whoa! I totally had to look at a calendar to confirm that. o_O Hope the rest of your day is lovely!

@Smurfette: lol! I was confused how the baby would curse too!

@QueensBee: Weird on the bumps! Have you tried putting anything on them? Sometimes I'll put Aquaphor or Triple Paste when I see a random red bump. But it's odd they're in a line and cluster. Maybe have your daycare take note of it.

Oh that's an interesting point about the WB bumps could be related to the diaper. K has had a couple of red spots on her back, and it's right where the WB is.

@QueensBee @ALV91711: Thanks. Ah... she barely would nurse last night before I gave her to DH. After 10 min. with her, he handed her back to me and said, "She clearly wants her mama." She was so happy to see me, she happily drank up again and I got her to fall asleep at 10pm! I guess this only works in our favor with the upcoming travels and time change - sleeping later. Only one wake-up to eat and she's still asleep! But I've only slept ~ 6.5 hrs. Got to do laundry and pack.

@ALV91711: Aww... not your fault! Especially since it's not a common thing! I think K has woken up with poop in her diaper twice! Both times I was shocked and worried how long she;d been in it too. Did he have any rash?

@shopaholic: I checked last night, we have 9-12 Smaller by See Kai Run. So maybe the 0-6 will fit her now. I can't wait for her to fit in her Tiny Toms! Which is funny cause I am not a fan of them for myself.

@shopaholic: I am a scorpio too! Happy early birthday to you!
He's always been well-balanced. He sat unassisted for the first time at 3.5 months-- the only thing he's done early. As far as movement, he's pretty average. He didn't roll early or crawl early (still army crawling)-- but balance my kid has got.

@Smurfette: The 9-12 See Kai Run were too big or fit?

  18. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@travellingbee: They are way too big!! I am going to remeasure her feet tonight before I order some. Looks like she only needs 0-6, since her feet are a little smaller then 4 inches.

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@Smurfette: I guess I need to measure L's feet too. I have no idea what size he is. It is still hot here and he has not worn any of the several shoes that we have been gifted. But eventually it will cool down!

@ALV91711: Don't feel bad, it happens! If he were truly uncomfortable, I bet he wouldn't have been able to sleep. Doesn't he know you're supposed to wait until morning to go #2?!

@travellingbee: Happy Birthday!!! Sounds like your day is already off to a great start and the celebration will continue through the weekend! Enjoy every minute!

@Smurfette: Good luck with the measurements! These babies are too squirmy, they make it so so difficult.

Day care called me this afternoon. She had spit up on all 4 outfits she had extra and was in a onesie and socks they have for emergencies. So I called the doctor since her spit up has gotten so bad. The doc thinks she is just a spitty baby. Said that since R has a runny nose it is probably causing the mucus in the spit up. She said her kid was the same one until 1:( she looked in her ear and doesn't have an ear infection. But boy did that piss her off. Reagan wouldn't calm down at all. Cried the whole way home. I know she was tired so I took her immediately to her room and rocked her. She is sleeping on me now.

She weighs 16.9lbs! So she is clearly keeping something down. She has gained almost 2lbs in a month and half. Pedi thinks she is eating great and normal for her age.

I think he is on the way to saying dada. Yesterday and today he has starting babbling da da da. He looks mad when he says it.

@Smurfette: That is a lot of spit up. I hope it slows down soon. Good weight gain!

@QueensBee: That is funny you say that, he usually poops in the morning while I'm in the shower.

Poor guy is constipated though, so prunes for lunch and again tonight for dinner until he is back to pooping normal. I feel bad for these hard little poops he is having.

@travellingbee: Happy Birthday!! Hope your day has continued to be wonderful!

@ALV91711: Poor guy! Hope he poops soon!

R's pumpkin! We tried the hand print and it was a blob of paint. Luckily it wiped off and the foot was a little better.

@travellingbee: Happy Birthday! That's amazing that he is already standing so well! And awesome that you could get a pic of it!

@ALV91711: We've done that too where Liam woke up fussing and I thought it was just teething or something but it turned out he had pooped - don't feel bad! We had some constipation recently too and then we fed him prunes/oatmeal for breakfast and a couple hours later he was pooping like crazy!

@Smurfette: That pumpkin is SO cute!

Daycare had their Halloween 'party' today. Don't ask my why... I kept asking DH why aren't they doing it on Thursday and he had no answers since apparently he didn't think it was odd like I do. It was fun to dress him up in his little lion costume! I think I'm going to try and dress him up again on Thursday and take some photos with the pumpkins I still haven't carved.

I haven't been keeping up with this board very well but are everyone's LOs already crawling? I feel like Liam is a late bloomer he is not even trying. He has tried to scoot while sitting a few times but not really trying to crawl. I just know that now that I've said that he will probably start next week or something. I don't know if I'm ready for a mobile baby yet anyways. My mom sent me a video of him saying mama yesterday and I just kept watching it over and over.

@Smurfette: Aww... sorry R spit up so much and didn't like her doctor's visit. But yay on the weight gain! She's surpassed K! K was 15lbs 10 oz. last week. But she still looks chubby. Maybe just not growing in height. How tall is R now? The SKR Smaller shoes, the smallest pair we have, is 6-9 months. Still too big. But I am guessing K's foot is about 4.5" L right now? We're still in Robeez 0-6.
Cute pumpkin print! I don't have the energy to try and do one of those!

@dojo: I feel like K is a late bloomer as well, but she's started moving last Thursday/Friday and improving each day. DH actually didn't want her to start crawling until after a vacay.
She's been trying to pull up everyday, but nowhere close to standing like L!

Ugh... our living room is a disaster as I have things thrown around to be packed, but no time while K was awake and no energy now that she's asleep. Our naps were dismal today. First nap was okay - 1 hr. Second nap only 30 min. And that's it. I think she was up almost 6.5hrs straight before bedtime.
She was FREAKING out today for random things: she saw/heard the gardner while I was feeding her and she started crying and shaking. Same thing every time I tried to put her down for naps. DH thinks it's stranger anxiety, but she was her normal, happy, smiling to strangers self when we went out today. Anyone else's LO getting stranger danger yet?

  27. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: WOW! That's awesome growth!!! It makes me wonder how much Xander weighs... I wonder if R is going to surpass him! But what a bummer about the spit ups! At least now you know it's just normal for her! But going through all her outfits is a bummer!!! And OMG, that foot!!! hahahaha, love it!!!

@ALV91711: I think Xander's close to saying Dada too!! But he doesn't even TRY to say Mama, the little jerk. Bummer about the constipation! Hope it gets better soon!

@dojo: Oh wow, odd they are doing Halloween early! Ours are doing it on Thursday, so I'm going to send Xander's lion costume with him. We'll see how that goes, haha.

And not to worry!!! Xander's no where near crawling either!!! His mode of transportation is just rolling at the moment, and he's not very coordinated, so he can't really get anywhere he wants to go. And he doesn't even try to scoot when sitting - he's happy to just sit wherever he is.

@shopaholic: Xander's started with the stranger anxiety, but it's not TOO bad yet. He's wary around new people, but doesn't freak out unless they try to hold him before he's really warmed up to them. Like he's nervous about my mom, but eventually warms up to her. But he doesn't cry unless I pass him off to her first thing, and then he gets upset!

  28. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: I forgot to ask (or maybe you did and already told me and I'm just repeating myself), but how was R's eating when she was cutting those top teeth? Xander hasn't had any solids in 2 days and has been super fussy and sleepy! I'm not sure if it's from teething or if maybe he's getting sick. What do you think?

  29. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@dojo: That is weird. I would be wondering about that as well. He was so cute on IG!! Is it bad that I would rather R say Mama then crawling all over the place?
@shopaholic: They didn't measure her height. Only do that at well visits. They only weighted her cause they wanted to make sure she was gaining with all the spit up. But she still fits in Carter's 6 month sleepers, so I don't think she has gone much taller since her last well visit. Sorry you had another bad day of naps. It is so hard when they don't nap. I haven't noticed stranger danger yet.
Are you leaving today for Hawaii? Have a great trip. And Happy early Birthday. When is it?
@Adira: Now I am like are we over feeding her. But the doctor was happy with the gain, now 50%, and how much she is eating. I guess the formula is packing it on her. I love her little budda belly.
I didn't notice anything different really with the top teeth with food. Just more fussy moments and would cry out in her sleep. She is way more fussy with this round of top teeth coming in too.
But it could be the teething. Or could he be full from the bottles since you are sending 1.5ozs more?

  30. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: Yeah, I was wondering it maybe it's because there's more in the bottles! I'm not sure!!! I mentioned that to the daycare lady, but she thought since I had dropped a feeding that the extra shouldn't really matter, but who really knows. Maybe if he continues not to eat all week, I'll go back to 5 oz bottles next week...?

  31. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@Adira: What if you do a bottle with 5 ozs? Then send an extra bottle with the 1.5. But see how he does without the extra and solids.

  32. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: Yeah, that's a good idea. Although I HOPE the issue is that he's teething and not that he's filling up too much on milk! I want to make sure he gets plenty of milk AND still eats, haha.

  33. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@Adira: I mean we dropped a bottle and R was fine. We didn't increase or anything. Maybe he was just eating the dream feed but didn't really need it.

  34. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: Definitely possible that he didn't need it, though I don't know! How do I know??? haha. It also is hard to figure out because I nurse him when I'm with him, so I really have no idea how much he's getting!

But here's some math, to make me think maybe it's teething (or illness) or something. He was getting nursed 3x/day + 3 5 oz bottles. And he was eating between 4-7 oz of food. So now that I've dropped a nursing session and added milk to his bottles, he's getting 4.5 oz extra milk but one less nursing session, so I would think he's still want some solids, right? Even if he didn't need that dream feed, 4.5 oz is less than the 7 oz of food he often got, so shouldn't he still be hungry?

  35. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@Adira: Maybe the BM fills him up more. Takes longer to digest, so in his tummy longer?
    What times is he eating?

  36. travellingbee

Can someone explain IG to me? I want to see everyone's cute pictures! I've never used it. What do I do?

  37. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Smurfette: That could be! He gets bottles at 9:00, 12:00, and 3:00, and they're trying to give him lunch at 1:30. Although yesterday I think they tried at 2:30 because of his naps, so it was only 30 minutes before his next bottle and he still wouldn't eat, but he gobbled down his bottle just fine!

@Adira: how do I find other users (like y'all?)? Yeah I have an iPhone and iPad.

  40. Adira

@travellingbee: There's a gold thread with a bunch of usernames, but mine is charmedthea. So search and find me and follow me (I'll have to accept because my account is set to private). And then from there (or maybe even before I accept you), you'll be able to see who I'm following (all HB ladies) and you can go follow them too.

ETA: If you can't see who I'm following until after I accept you, you'll have to wait until I get home tonight! My IG is on my media player which is at home.
