@Smurfette: Yeah, I just hope my supply goes back up soon. I'm only getting 2/3 my normal amount.
OMG, baby laughs are THE BEST!!!! So glad R is FINALLY laughing for you more now!!! I remember when she wouldn't laugh much and you were worried that she didn't find you guys very funny!

Hi Ladies! Just popping in for a quick update! I know most of you saw on IG and my other post. Soo.... K caught a stomach virus yesterday. No doubt from going to the mall and being exposed to hundreds of kids. Probably didn't help that we were there so long I let her have some freedom to crawl around and get the wiggles out in a lounge area and at The Land of Nod. I thought I was trying to get over being the paranoid mom that never lets a teething kid put stuff in her mouth and/or explore. She was up til almost midnight last night vomiting. We went through 7 pjs in 4 hours. And so glad I have a carpet cleaner!
She's been a lot better today, no vomiting - just diarrhea! Ugh - nasty nasty! but the last few times she is basically pooping water. And she hasn't peed all day. But the ped wasn't too worried. She has been napping REALLY well today. No doubt exhausted from last night. I've cancelled all the get-togethers and parties this weekend (there was something everyday Fri-Sun.) I'm told this virus is highly contagious. Seems like A LOT of the HB babies and FB babies are sick though right now. I guess it just comes with the territory.
Hope everyone has a healthy and fun weekend, no doubt filled with a lot of festivities!
Oh, and we have a scheduled power outage from 10pm - 6am tonight. WTH? Talk about inconvenient!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@shopaholic: Wow, poor K!! I'm glad she's starting to feel better though and has been getting plenty of sleep! That's good! I think Xander is sick too. He hasn't been eating well for the past few days and has had a bunch of blow outs, though no vomiting or diarrhea, so I don't know what he has. He even went to bed without dinner tonight... I'm nervous about when he'll be waking up to eat in the morning! Hopefully K feels back to normal soon!!!

@Adira: They are the best!!
@shopaholic: Glad she is feeling better!! I am sure she will be back to herself in no time. Scheduled power outage? Never heard of that before. Why??? I would be pissed R needs her sound machine and I need my fan to sleep.
R went in her crib at 645 tonight. 745 she was still up and started crying hysterically. She felt a little warm to me so we gave her Tylenol. DH tried rocking her and she wouldn't settle down, so I went in and she settled down once I sang to her. She didn't fall asleep till 815. Poor thing! I want this damn tooth to cut through already.
Our good friend owns a dance studio and we are going to the Christmas recital tomorrow. It is a big production. I am excited my Mom is coming too. Hopefully R behaves or DH will take her in the hall. Wish us luck!!

@Smurfette: Baby laughs are the best.
@Adira: Hopefully your supply goes back up once she is gone. Are you at least getting enough or close to it each day?
@shopaholic: Glad she is starting to feel better, poor thing. Hopefully she'll be fully better quickly.
@Adira: Hopefully he will just sleep!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Aww, poor R. Hope she feels better and is in a good mood for the recital!
@ALV91711: Well, I always start the week with 6 oz extra in the fridge from the weekend in order to help get me through the week. Because one day he actually skipped a bottle, I was able to keep up with his needs (had 4 oz extra going into today), but normally I can pump about 18 oz and today it looks like I'll be lucky to get 15 oz total. Luckily it's Friday and I'll be nursing exclusively for the next week... hopefully by supply is back up before he goes back to daycare on the 30th.

Hi ladies been mia for way too long what with apt renovation and move taking all my time. So the renovation is "almost done" and just the last mile to go!! Popping in for quick update on J's 9 mo appt. LO weighs 21.5 pounds, almost 30" (90%) and his head is 80%! he is top heavy and kept toppling over from sitting for a long time. On new things he has started clapping hands and says bye bye. He is still not crawling yet but I am not complaining since the place is not safe for crawling and only now everything is coming together. He has outgrown his playard and infant seat so the next set is going to be his christmas gift!!
Still got a few more gifts to get for family I am thinking to just hand out pics of LO and call it a day! Hope you ladies have done your holiday shopping and looking forward to weekend and festivities ahead!!
@shopaholic: Aww poor K and bummer about canceling parties. But hopefully you get to relax down this weekend she recovers soon.
@Smurfette: I'm sure you must have tried tickling her belly button that is a sure way to get (most) babies to laugh.
@Adira: Yay for AF (hopefullu im not wrong here)!! but boo supply dip hope it goes back up soon.

@Smurfette: Good luck! she is going to be the sweetest one at the recital!!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Smurfette: I really hope she sleeps in for you tomorrow, poor thing. Going to the recital sounds like a lot of fun.
@silver1: You will be so glad when the reno's are over I'm sure. Those are great stats! We did photos for Christmas gifts this year. Nice and easy with moving this week. I'm with you on happy to not have a crawler. There is just too much to get into until we are unpacked and organized.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: That will probably be good for your supply to be nursing for a week and not pumping. I'm sure it will go up. I notice that at the start of AF Isaac will nurse more, but by the end things go back to normal.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@silver1: Wow!!! Big baby!!! Those stats are great!! And pictures of your LO are a great Christmas gift! That's what I'm doing for our parents and grandparents! And yes! I'm happy AF has finally arrived, although I hate dealing with her, haha.
@ALV91711: I hope so! I'm actually kind of nervous about nursing for a week because I don't actually think Xander drinks as much from me as I send with him to daycare, so I think nursing exclusively might actually hurt my supply, haha! But I'm going to try doing some power pumping this week and hopefully that will help!

Hey everyone!
Just a quick post to say that Pete slept 11 hours straight on Thursday night and woke up at 6:15am. Sooo nice! But then, this morning, he woke up at 4:15am! Argh. In the words of @adira, WTF!
And now we are indeed off to see Santa today. I found a place where you can actually reserve a time slot, so no long lines, and all the proceeds go to a children's charity. Win, win. We'll see if Peter loves or hates Mr. Clause at 12:20pm today!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

@QueensBee: same here! Friday she woke up at 620, and this morning 520, after not going to sleep till 820. Luckily she went back to sleep by 6 and then got up at 710.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@QueensBee: That is an early morning. Hope the visit with Santa goes well.
We got a 5am wakeup this morning. He had an almost hour morning nap and I'm still waiting for him to fall asleep for his afternoon nap. I've had him asleep 3 times but he keeps waking up wide awake when his head hits the crib. He is fussing and crying right now.
pear / 1718 posts
@Smurfette: The extra early wake ups are just so brutal! I'm glad she was able to go back to sleep and get more rest. How is her rash today?
Today's is Pete's 9 month birthday- whoohoo! Just crazy how the time has flown. That means it's also Isaac's 9 month well. Happy Birthday, Isaac!
We haven't seen the Santa photos yet (they will email them to us), but Pete was pretty unhappy in Santa's lap. He wasn't screaming but definitely had a look of terror. I am so curious to see how they came out!
The only other thing of note today is that we finally tried peanut butter! I put teeny tiny bit on a puff and had him eat the puff. No reaction so far, fingers crossed/knock on wood. I will probably do the same peanut butter on a puff trick for two or three more days before I consider him clear of the allergy but so far, so good.
pear / 1718 posts
@silver1: So happy to hear stats are great and renovation is in final phases! Lots to be thankful for this holiday!
@Adira: I remember how stressful it can be when you feel like you're not pumping enough. It's the worst feeling. But, you are seriously a total pumping pro and I bet you can get it back up with your power pump plan (which is also a tongue twister!) !

@QueensBee: Happy 9 months Pete!
How did all these babies get to be 9 months already?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@ALV91711: I hope he finally settled down for a nap.
@ALV91711: @QueensBee: Happy 9 months to your boys!
@QueensBee: Her rash is almost gone. She still seems itchy though. But at least she isn't so red. I want to see the Santa pics. So glad he was ok with peanut butter. Good idea to put on a puff.
R did SO great during the recital. She only got restless during the ballet part. But otherwise she just watched. She moved from DH and me. Still won't let anyone else hold her.
She started waving!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@QueensBee: haha, I love that "WTF" is what I'm known for! But I hear you - it's so frustrating when they sleep really well one night and then not again! Hope he sleeps in for you tomorrow! And that's awesome that you tried peanut butter and didn't have a reaction! Fingers crossed he's not allergic!!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Smurfette: No afternoon nap. He's been awake since 8:30am. Going to be in bed pretty quick. We even went to the post office this afternoon and he didn't fall asleep in the car.

@shopaholic: hopefully K feels better soon. That's got to be tough to see her so sick
@QueensBee: Happy 9 months Pete! And you're brave to have tried peanut butter. I'm way too nervous!
@Smurfette: It makes me feel better to hear that other babies won't let anyone else hold them. Carter cries the moment anybody other than me or DH holds him. It makes my family (especially my mom and MIL) so sad!
@ALV91711: That's crazy he's been awake for so long! Hopefully he goes down for the night easily.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@jodyblair: It is so hard. She only lets us or her teachers. I know it breaks my Mom's heart even though she knows it is just a phase. One that I hope is over fast.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@jodyblair: He went to bed so easily tonight, he was just so tired.
@QueensBee: I can't believe you did peanut butter, that makes me nervous to try.
I've been so lazy with food the last few days and just done purees. We have to get back at the finger food tomorrow. He is becoming a little piggy. Today for lunch he ate a whole pouch and then at dinner he ate 3/4 of a jar and breakfast was a lot of oatmeal. Yesterday for lunch he ate a 100 gram container of yogurt for lunch and was yelling for more.
We got our tree up tonight. Now it feels like Christmas. I have lots of other decorations but I'm not bothering with them this year.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@ALV91711: Yay for trees!!
R slept till 640 this morning. Just shy of 12 hours!!!! She woke up with a runny nose though. Her rash is gone but she is so itchy down there. Poor thing. She was just standing at her high chair screaming at it/playing and fell. She has a big red mark on the side of her head. DH is going to give me grief for it happening on my watch. He is out Christmas shopping.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Smurfette: That is a good sleep. Hopefully she feels better soon.
Isaac took his first crawl today. He only went a couple steps before he was on his belly. Then instead of trying again he just pushed himself backwards.
He went to the tree to investigate. He tried to touch one ornament but mostly just looked at it before moving on.

@Smurfette: It was so cute watching him explore. Only one box left on the main floor and it will be baby safe.

@ALV91711: @Adira: thanks ladies got some nice pics of LO for grandparents!! My DH thinks same cannot be given to our siblings as they won't be interested (we also have other gift). Is anyone else giving pic of LO/ family pic to relatives?
@QueensBee: Yes definitely lots to be thankful and brand new house!! Happy bday Pete!! Great it is going good with peanut butter!! I love PB&J got to try some with LO
@ALV91711: Yay for starting to crawl!! and yay for tree!!
@Smurfette: Wow great sleep!!

@silver1: We did framed photos for the grandparents and I sent our siblings photos in a card but I also sent my siblings another gift as well.

@ALV91711: yay crawling!
I am sitting in Ls room while he cries in his crib. This stubborn child is breaking my heart. Go. To. Sleep! This sleeping training stuff is hard.
pomelo / 5621 posts
@travellingbee: Has he been sleeping more in his crib now? It breaks my heart when they are so tired but insist on crying instead of sleeping. But know you are doing what is best for the long run.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@silver1: We did framed pics for great-grandma, grandparents, and Aunts and Uncles. Then my extended family are getting a picture but no frame, and it is just a 4x6 picture since I have such a big family.
@travellingbee: hearing them cry sucks. I hope it didn't last long. R was crying last night too so I had to go in and rock her to sleep. Took over an hour to get her asleep.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@ALV91711: @Smurfette: last night was the first night of actual sleep training. It was basically timed interval cio with picking up and soothing in between. It took only a few minutes at 8pm but then he woke up half hour later. I repeated and this time it took an hour and a half for him to fall asleep. He was finally asleep a little after 10pm. He fell asleep completely in his own (folded over in half since he passed out sitting up!) for the first time. And then...... Wait for it..... He slept through the night. First time in months!!!!!!!! I know it may get harder before he's consistent but omg am I proud of him!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@travellingbee: OMG!! That is SO awesome!!!!! Good job buddy!!

@travellingbee: Awesome! You must feel so much better. I hope he keeps it up.

@Smurfette: 6:40am??! That's amazing!! And I'm so glad the rash is getting better!
@ALV91711: Awe, that's so exciting! Watching them crawl around to investigate everything is just the cutest. And a relief that he didn't go crazy with the tree. So cute!
@travellingbee: Wowowow that's SUCH exciting news! So happy that your sleep plan is working! You must feel great.
Pete has a top tooth coming in now so that will make three teeth total.
He spent his first night away from us yesterday and I think it went okay. It was so sweet seeing my parents drive off with him in his little carseat, sucking on his pacifier. I leaned over the carseat to give him a kiss and he turned his head away from me like, "It's no big deal, mom! I'm off to Nana and Poppy's house!"
I actually haven't spoken to my parents yet about the details but my mom texted to say that he slept from 8-11pm, but then was up from 11-1am, and then slept from 1-8am. That two hour wakeup is very unusual but it could have been due to teething or to the fact that he wasn't in his usual crib and nursery. Who knows?!
They even took our little dog home with them. It was sooo nice to come home from our date night and to have a quiet dog-free and baby-free house. But, now I miss them and can't wait to see both of my love bugs!

Oh, here is our photo from Santa! Haha you can see that he is BARELY holding it together.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@QueensBee: So glad that DH and you had fun!! I loved his shirt on IG. I hope it was just the teething that kept him up. At least when he did go back to sleep he slept till 8 for grandma and grandpa.
I love his fave in the picture!

@ALV91711: @QueensBee: Happy 9 months to the boys!
@QueensBee: That is such an adorable picture! And wow! Peanut Butter! Glad you know he is okay with peanuts now!
Sounds like you had a great night out & off! We've yet to do it, but we'll need to if we go to vegas for a few days next summer like DH is hoping. I'll need to get used to it in little doses before I can go 3 days!
@travellingbee: Whoo hoo! Awesome job on the sleep training!
