EDD if you have one: Cinco de Mayo! no margaritas for me

When Did You Find Out?: today-- I don't chart, so I have nooooo idea how any DPOs!

Where You Live: OC, CA

What kind of provider will you see?: OB-GYN-- probably the same one I saw for LO#1 (even though she wasn't the doctor on call when I delivered).

When's Your First Appointment?: haven't called yet-- I'm assuming end of Sept?

What kind of birth do you want?: I had an epidural last time (after trying to go med-free), so I will want to go med-free as long as possible, unless I get induced again... then epi as soon as it's too much to bear!

What You're Most Excited For: Telling my husband! He'll find out somehow tonight after getting home from work!

What You're Most Scared About: Having 2 under 2...

Symptoms so far: none whatsoever. During my last TWW, I had super sore boobs and was super crampy. Nothing out of the ordinary this time.

Any fun plans for the end of summer/fall?: Labor Day street fair... it's going to be hotter than balls, and I was looking forward to day drinking in public with an ice cold beer...

What kind of provider will you see?: Midwife

When's Your First Appointment?: Sept 11 (Already had blood work)

What kind of birth do you want?: just healthy

What You're Most Excited For: Everything - seriously - just can't wait to experience the whole thing!

What You're Most Scared About: Sleep deprivation, I'm not good with that

Symptoms so far: heartburn, FATIGUE, and abdominal pain

Any fun plans for the end of summer/fall?: Getting a new job and possibly returning to do a Christmas play I've done every year for the past 7 years. It'll be interesting to see if they'll let me do it at 4 months preggers...

When Did You Find Out?: 11 dpo (but I thought I saw a smudge on a cheapie strip at 10dpo)

Where You Live: Just outside Boston

What kind of provider will you see?: Midwives. Unfortunately I have new insurance so I can't go to the same practice as last time but luckily the other midwife group at the same hospital accepts it. Hoping I like them!

When's Your First Appointment?: Sept. 11 for bloodwork & medical history. Sept 23 for first midwife appointment. I'm hoping to limit the number of ultrasounds this time (last time I had about a thousand it seems) so I won't ask for a dating ultrasound.

What kind of birth do you want?: I would prefer for labor to start naturally and proceed to uncomplicated vaginal birth. I had an epidural last time and it actually sped things up so I would not be opposed to getting one again.

What You're Most Excited For: My DS getting to be a big brother!

What You're Most Scared About: We have no room whatsoever for another baby right now and having a baby in May kind of puts a cramp in selling our place and moving during the peak season. Also miscarriage. I had an early loss before DS so that is always on my mind.

Symptoms so far: Not much. Just a little emotional and some cramping. Maybe a little bit of fatigue but totally manageable and a couple pimples. Overall I don't really feel like I'm pregnant. I think the big symptoms arrived around 6 weeks with DS.

Any fun plans for the end of summer/fall?: DS turns 1 next weekend!

Where You Live: NYC

What kind of provider will you see?: Obgyn

When's Your First Appointment?: Sept 18th - seems like an eternity away!

What kind of birth do you want?: In a hospital, but as natural as possible. Although I am not against an epidural

What You're Most Excited For: Right now my first appt. For the future, my sister-in-law is 5 months pregnant now so our kids will be cousins close in age.

What You're Most Scared About: Besides from something going wrong with the pregnancy (which I try not to think about), where we are going to live. We are in a small 1 bedroom apt. in NYC and there is no way a baby will fit in there!

Symptoms so far: CRAMPS - sometimes they are just barely there but other times they get strong and make me feel like I'm going to be sick.

Any fun plans for the end of summer/fall?: Going camping this weekend for Labor Day but not much else the rest of the year.

@Mae: Thanks! he is currently my baby so I have to get ready for an actual 2 legged baby now lol He is so great around kids and babies though so I'm excited

@Mae: I feel the same way. Sometimes I don't believe that I'm actually pregnant, especially since I haven't been the doctor, but then I get super hot and crampy and its like.. oh yea thats not normal. I try not to tell DH about it all the time bc I don't want to talk about it to much where it becomes ALL I talk about. This morning though I got nausous for just the second time and it was right before getting on the subway. Now I have a fear of getting sick on the train. This should be fun!

@Mae: Thanks! I'm sure everyone will be fine. Being pregnant is so exciting especially once you start hearing the heartbeat and seeing the baby on ultrasound and feeling movements. It's really an amazing time in life. Sounds like you have some fun trips planned. I am jealous!

@sweetkeight: I was so nervous about the sleep deprivation last time but then it turned out to be not half as bad as I expected. You are so full of new mommy hormones after giving birth that you really don't notice nearly as much as you'd think.

@HabesBabe: I am also freaked out about having 2 under 2! What the heck are you supposed to do with a toddler while caring for a newborn? How old is your LO? I can't believe that I was pregnant at this time last year. It seems like that shouldn't even be possible.

@mrsog: awww how fun for you to have kids close in age!! and cute pup he looks like he will be a fantastic big brother!

@skipra: LO is 13.5 months old-- so she will be a little older than yours when LO#2 arrives. i am fuh-REAKING out at the thought of tending to a newborn with a clingy almost-2 year old! my husband and i were talking about it last night in bed, and we were starting to sweat. LOL.

@Mae: I work from home, too! It was nice whenever I got tired, I could just lie down for a bit... LOL. Why are you waiting until 6 months to tell your boss?

We haven't told ANYONE-- and will be trying to keep it until after our first trimester... including our parents! We're going to a street fair for Labor Day weekend tomorrow with two of our friends (they're pregnant, too) and it's basically a drinking-in-public event. It's going to be 90 degrees and I am DYING for a beer. So we'll have to figure out how to make it look like I'm drinking without actually drinking (since we don't want them to know!).

@Skipra: thank you for the reassurance, golly, but it worries me (ironically, causing a little sleeplessness in worrying about the sleeplessness!)

@Mae: Do you mind if I keep the list of May Due Dates even though you started the post? I love keeping lists...

@Mae: Hooray! I'm kindof new, too. I chatted on the POAS boards for a month before my BFP and lurked for awhile, but still feel like a newbie.

I'm going to make a pretty list!

BTW, on the April board, they separated out the appointments to another thread, but I kindof like it all here in one thread - it makes it easier to chat about what's going on. Let me know if anybody wants it different and we can change it

My first appointment is next Friday! What should I expect? What questions should I make sure I ask? And what prenatal is everyone using? During our preconception visit my doctor suggested only folic acid so I've been taking just that along with my regular pharmaton (when I remember)

@tarabonno: congrats! I told my mom because we need her to babysit during appointments.
@sweetkeight: thanks for keeping the lists. Funny I just know I'm between 4 & 5 weeks. Last time I knew number of weeks and days.
