OMG that took forever, and I know I got arrival dates wrong for some, so pleeeeease correct me! Going back to read some arrival posts some didn't write the date and HB only says "two weeks ago" and not exact date, so I know I am off on some, sorry.....please correct!!!
coffee bean / 48 posts
@Beebug: Our arrival date is actually 5/14. Everything else looked correct though!

@beebug: thanks for updating the list! I'm feeling pretty good especially now that I'm on maternity leave. I'm getting impatient to meet our baby though! My DH keeps reminding me that we're not yet to the due date. I never joined the June mamas board but I'll likely have a June baby!

@sungirl: Congrats!!! Our little guys were born almost the exact same size!
@Beebug: Thanks for updating the calendar!
I didn't mean not to share our little guy's name. I think we hadn't decided yet. We named him George. It was not even one we were considering because our other little guy is Will and i didn't want people to think we are obsessed with the royal family but it is a big family name on my side and he looked like my aunt when he was born so we just went with it.

@Beebug: thanks for updating the list!!! I have almost no time on my laptop now bc lo has to be held constantly, and updating from my phone would be about impossible.

Hi everyone! Thought I'd share some updated shots of the little one! First two are shots from her newborn shoot on Sunday!!

@caity713: oh wow, pics are SO cute! Sorry about arrival date mistake, I will wait to see who else needs to be corrected, then update!
@Mae: the pics I'm assuming you did of F are also super adorable! Gosh I love nb pics so much!
@skipra: I knew his name from fb, but just wasn't sure if you didn't share here for privacy reasons, didn't want to take that from you just in case

@sungirl: Congrats on your little guy!
@Beebug: Thanks for the updated list! I don't know how you had time to work on it! If I can't do it from my phone while breastfeeding, it's not getting done at all, haha.
@Mae: How's your incision doing? Any updates on Fiona's crying? I hope it's getting better!
@caity713: She is SO beautiful! Love the pics!
Yesterday was the first day I had both babies on my own the whole day ! My MIL insists on coming the rest of the time, or sometimes an aunt will come over for the afternoon. It was just so nice to be in my house alone and watch whatever I wanted on tv, etc. There were only a few times when both babies were freaking out at the same time. We have one month ped appt today. Um, are my babies really almost a month old?? Unreal!
Yesterday the light was really nice in our living room so I took a few pics with the real camera. I don't know how people get pics of twins together looking peaceful. Alice screams whenever we set them up together and usually ends up flailing her arms into Blake.

Who of us has/had that pupp rash? I need to google, I think I have it? Weird rash all over my forehead, chest/neck, and one knee, so weird.
I bathed C on my own this am, it was best bath yet! He didn't cry until he was out and getting dried off! Used the baby tub on our bathroom counter.
I'm thinking about switching to cloth again soon, going to get through the sposies we do have and make the switch early next week maybe. I'm nervous, but know I will be fine, I hope!
I need better nursing tops and one more bra, I feel line I have nothing nursing friendly.
Wore C in the carrier for the first time yesterday for a walk, going to try again here shortly for lunchtime walk wth the dog!
Any babies started losing their hair yet? I saw some rubbed off on the back of one seat he's been in. I hope he doesn't lose it all!

I just stopped in to say hi! Still trying to work on schedule that makes being a Mom of 3, not total chaos! Happy to read that everyone is doing well. Cant wait for the rest of the May babies to show up! Here's some pics from Saturday...

So much cuteness on this page!!! Warms my heart to come on here and see our babies!
@Beebug: I think I had that rash. Two weeks ago I was covered from lower abdomen to calves with red itchy bumps. Took a week to go away, i did use some piriton but I'm not sure it made a difference, or if it was just time. It was frustrating though! Also, thanks for sharing ur depo experience. I'm still hesitant about it and pretending I don't have to figure something out, soon. DH is leaning towards the rhythm method but lol, I don't trust that. At all.
We're cloth diapering also and so far I love it! Been using prefolds with thirsties due wraps. I am THE only person IRL I know who cloth diapers, so we've been getting a TON of questions, especially about the poop. It's half annoying and half hilarious. What was also annoying was that FIL took it upon himself to bulk buy disposables because he believes CD'ing isn't hygienic. And to also bulk buy formula because he believes G should be getting both. Funny. They both made their way back to his home and are sitting there...
Too much cuteness on the thread to not join in one some! He's growing so fast!

@Beebug: Thanks! I should post some here I guess too! I"m not quite done yet though. Since she's all mine I'm being a bit slow about getting them done and doing a few every day haha.
@twodoghouse: Incision is healing but really slowly. Doc said it could be 4+ weeks until it fully heals, and in the meantime we're still having to pack it with gauze daily and keep it clean and dressed Really sucks. I hate my husband having to do this gross medical thing for me. Small plus side, I guess, is that I have to shower daily and scrub it, so I am prob one of few new moms who actually will get to shower every single day because I really HAVE to... (although I have to do it before my husband leaves for work so he can pack the wound after, so it is cutting into my sleep a bit).
As for the crying... it continues. She is basically super pissed off from about 3pm-9pm every day. Sometimes during that period we can calm her down to a wimper rather than a legit scream. But basically for those 6 hrs, she screams when she isn't nursing. In the mornings she sleeps a little bit more, but is still really unhappy whenever she is awake. And today she has only slept like 1 hr since 7am. So yea... still much crying.
@Beebug: I need more nursing clothes too! So far I have 2 nursing bras I rotate and I just wear tank tops every day so I can pull them down. But its not super cute haha.
@junebugmama: adorable! Seriously love all the hair.
@Glitter: we plan to CD but LO is currently pooping like 10 times/day so we're going to wait until she gets herself sorted a bit more before we start doing that. Hopefully in another 2-3 weeks we can start.
@Glitter: adorable!!!
Sharing some newborn pics I've done... I'll prob share more as I get more done
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@junebugmama: omg look at his hair! DD had that much, but omg Jace's is soooo gorgeous! Nice pics too!!
@Glitter: huge pics are awesome, lol. What a cutie! Good to know about rash, I hope it goes away soon!
I also noticed I have a linea negra coming now! Wtf! Only me? Haha, probably!
I just weeded our front lawn, mowed and whipper snipped, now watering (ok placed and turned on sprinkler, lol) I wish C would wake up! I'm bored! Baked banana bread too, currently in oven.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@Mae: yep, again those pics are gorgeoussss!
I have two nursing bras too, I wear regular shirts and then pull them up and then put a receiving blanket to cover my belly, classy!
I'm anxious to get MRI done tomorrow, I hope to goodness C chooses to be sleepy when I am in the MRI machine and he is okay with my mom!
papaya / 10343 posts
@Beebug: omg how do you have time/energy to do yard work?! It has taken me until 2:30pm to find 15 min to get on my computer! lol. Do you stick to a feeding schedule? I feel like Fiona's schedule is so rough. She takes a full hour at least to nurse. Then most of the time it takes about 1-1.5 hrs to get her to calm down and sleep after nursing (can't set her down at all, have to keep her in constant motion to abate screaming). Then at that point it is only 30-60 min until she's supposed to nurse again (docs say at least every 3 hrs). And often she'll only sleep on me so I can't do anything anyways. But if we do get her to sleep in her rock n play or swing then I feel like I usually have something else important I've been ignoring for hours. Like peeing. or laundry. lol
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@Mae: no schedule, which is funny because I was soooo strict schedule with DD. Let him dictate, and whenever he wakes it will probably be constant on off for like 6 hours, lol. He ate just before noon and usually doesn't go longer than 3 hours finish to start. He seems to be really sleepy and I won't lie my DD sounds like your Fiona in newborn days, I feel bad even saying how easy this guy is, but know DD gave us a run for our money. This won't stay like this tough, that afternoon and evening fussiness will come before I know it and I will be eating my words.
papaya / 10343 posts
@Beebug: yea. I wish ANY of the medical ppl would give us the okay to abandon the schedule. Because waking a sleeping baby seems crazy to me. And my mom who is here this week. She EBF me and she's like just feed her when she's hungry! But every LC and both Peds we've seen have told us to not let her go longer than 3 hrs during the day I think once she starts gaining more I might start ignoring them a bit. But she was just not quite back at birthweight at her 2 week appt so I feel like she can't really afford to miss a meal. Also I think when she's a little less fussy and/or when she doesn't eat for 60+ min at a time, the every 3 hrs thing won't seem so onerous.

@Beebug: all correct, except delivery date was 5/11! Thanks so much!
I adore seeing everyone's perfect babies - such a joy to check the thread and see the photos!!
Crazy over here for a few reasons, I'll post an update soon but basically impossible from the phone.
Did newborn photos last week, still waiting on them. Here are a couple from the good old iPhone, just hanging around the house.

@gingerblonde: beautiful pics! I hope all is well with you!
@Mae: your pics look so awesome and baby Fiona looks so peaceful, I can hardly believe she's the screamer you claim. Pics are deceiving, huh. She does look like a ball of calm. Has anyone been able to explain why she screams constantly? Is it normal at this stage?
G sleeps a lot generally (yesterday he needed to be held though) and I think he's forming a general pattern. I hope so. I don't time feeds anymore, just let him dictate it. We've moved from 15-20 feeds a day to 8-10 and the length has increased since I started feed burp feed again patterns. He sleeps longer well fed too so I'm happy for that.
@Beebug: whereee do u get all that energy? I boiled rice yesterday and that sole task while watching him alone all day was an accomplishment!
papaya / 10343 posts
@Glitter: lol proof! This was a few min ago. But yea we don't know. Colic is when they cry 3+ hrs per day 3+ days per week for 3+ weeks... So we are on out way there but she is too young to tell. Doc said maybe some digestive issues but maybe she is just a hard baby. I'm also on the lookout for potential allergies. I may try a few days without dairy to see if she might have mspi. I hope not though bc I love cheese !!
persimmon / 1281 posts
@Mae: ok, that's a deep scream, I can see it in her forehead! Poor Fiona it sucks when babies cry cuz they can't say wth is wrong! I hope you and DH are managing ok in these stressful times. Are you using anything, assuming it's colic, or are you waiting to be sure that's the problem?
papaya / 10343 posts
@Glitter: we use gas drops and/or gripe water sometimes but it doesn't seem to do a lot of good. The best thing we have found is holding her upright facing out sort of draped over a forearm and bouncing on the yoga ball. That usually buys us a few min of calm before screaming resumes. Also today for the first time she took a paci... Sort of hoping that is a game changer for us. But we will see!
nectarine / 2019 posts
@Mae: J2 was like this....all he did was cry. I feel terribly for you. It adds a whole other level of stress. I'm not sure if anyone else has suggested it or not, but I used to put him in a carrier and go for a walk. The fresh air was usually beneficial for both of us.
And I would agree too about waking her up unfortunately If she's slow gaining than she's not ready for big chunks of sleep
nectarine / 2019 posts
And for everyone who is nursing, I don't think I shared this tip!
Nordstrums will alter any bra (old/new purchased from there or not) into a nursing bra for $15!
papaya / 10343 posts
@junebugmama: yea it is sort of rough on us, DH especially. And we have a ring sling and a moby we use with her. Sometimes she likes it, sometimes not so much. It is definitely in the rotation to try periodically with her. She's still in the stage where she doesn't quite know what she likes/wants I think.... like for a day she looooved being worn in the sling and since then not so much. At first she hated the moby but today she liked it. We've tried a paci most days and she always hated it but today she liked it. But yesterday the 5s's were working okay for her and today not so much haha. We just have a long list of stuff we try when she starts fussing and hope something will work for a little bit!
nectarine / 2019 posts
@Mae: Have you tried the shower? Not sure if she's lost her cord yet or not, but warm showers with us tummy to tummy and the water hitting his back also helped. It was suggested by our pedi and I wasn't so sure, but it was a lifesaver. It helped with his gas, the white noise aspect, and the warmth was calming for both of us. When DH went back to work him and I probably took 2-3 short showers a day. He would get really sleepy in there so I would just climb into bed with him after and attempt to get a little rest.
papaya / 10343 posts
@junebugmama: I haven't but I don't think I could due to my c section issue. The wound has to be packed and dressed (by my husband) in the am after my shower then can't get wet at all until the next am shower after it has been unpacked. I guess my dh could try with her after work but I think that would make him nervous. He already thinks she is hard to hold onto when dry... Can't imagine being wet would help lol
nectarine / 2019 posts
@Mae: Oy I forgot about your section issue. My opened up too, but not enough that it needs to be packed. I have to just keep changing the dressings and steristrips. I'm so sorry you're going through this
papaya / 10343 posts
@junebugmama: you ended up with a c section too?! How did I miss that?! Ugh suck.
nectarine / 2019 posts
@Mae: I haven't talked about it. Honestly, it was the worst experience of my entire life, and I'm not coping well with it.
