Hi ladies....I am a very late addition to the May group!
Location: San Francisco, CA
EDD: May 24
How far along: 16 weeks
First child? Yup!
Any symptoms so far? I had a couple rough weeks from 6-8, but I feel pretty great now. I've definitely been lucky.
Who have you told? Just about everyone, at this point! We told immediate family and a few close friends right away, then extended family, work, etc. after our NT scan at 14 weeks.

@daisyfay: That's what I'm craving too! If only we could share...
And welcome!

@daisyfay: Welcome!!!
@SeptMomma12: I was wondering if I could be a pain in the butt. Next time you update the EDD list, would you be able to change my EDD to May 27th? Thanks!!!!
Does anybody else's EDD fall on a sentimental date? Mine just so happens to fall on the day my husband and I went on our first date 5 years ago and its also my Moms birthday. It would be so nice if I actually happened to have the baby on my due date. But I just have a feeling I'll end up being overdue.

@Tippy0707: my original due date was May 19 which is my DHs bday but the dr office says its may 27

@Tippy0707: Yes, will try to remember to update it tonight!
Our appointment is at 3:45 EST today. I am dying to know what this baby is!!!!

@SeptMomma12: look forward to your update!
I had an appt with the nurse today, & while a pretty uneventful appt, I was happy she found baby girl's hb right away. Love hearing that!
@Tippy0707: Lots of May 27th due dates! Mine is too, and there are all kinds of things going on in May for our families. Namely, our anniversary is the 25th, & my brother's birthday the 27th.
kiwi / 549 posts
@Tippy0707: mine is 5-30-15 which has no sentiment. But I won't be going past 36 weeks which is 5-2. My son was born 11-12-13 so I feel obligated to get this kid a cool birthday lol. 5/2 is a Saturday so if I can make it to 36 I'll be having a c section on 5-1-15 which is kinda cool. My cousins baby was born 4-30 so I really don't want that day. I'm also lame and like that 5-1-15 is all odd numbers. But there's a high chance I'll deliver earlier and be stuck in April with even numbers and odd. LOL. Which as long as it's not 4-20 then I guess oh well! I way over think this!
@SeptMomma12: I'm guessing girl! I'm an hour behind you! I hope you update tonight I'll be stalking

Ok, I am updating now because it's not like I can concentrate on anything at work right now Hope this is right!

So...the tech thinks it's a GIRL! But couldn't be 100% sure. First she though she saw something for a boy but then she saw three lines which she said is a girl. So she said her guess would be girl but we have to wait a month to know for sure. Our actual anatomy scan is January 6. I am very excited but it's almost more torturous to think you know but not be sure!!!
kiwi / 549 posts
@SeptMomma12: OMG!!
I knew it! Lol you have a son right? Our tech with my son turned on the blood flow color sensor thing to make sure the goods weren't just the umbilical cord! Did she give you a potty shot? You could post it on an ultrasound board! I love to analyze ultrasounds too:)
pear / 1849 posts
@BabyPenguinXO: I asked her for a potty shot for that exact reason - I love those boards - but she couldn't get the baby back in the right position again
kiwi / 549 posts
@SeptMomma12: aww man! Must be a girl! Protecting the goods! Boys like to show off

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while, but we had our anatomy scan on Monday so I wanted to pop in to update - it's a boy! My daughter is in denial and keeps insisting that it's a girl, but I keep promising her that the doctor said it's a boy.
I was so sick for quite a while, happy to finally be feeling better and be settled into the "easy" second trimester.
pear / 1558 posts
@LC: ahh, congrats! Trying to convince your LO reminds me of how my dad brainwashed me that my little sister was going to be a boy. I'm ~2.5y older & for quite a while after she was born I introduced her as my brother (with a really girly name!). Eventually I accepted I had, indeed, had a sister.
@SeptMomma12: hang in there until your anatomy scan... too bad you couldn't get the answer yesterday.

@GoGoSnoGirl: Too funny! My daughter will have just turned 3 when this baby arrives, so it may be the same in our house!

Oops. . . I've been following but haven't provided info about my pregnancy yet. Here goes:
Location: Saskatchewan, Canada
EDD: May 18
How far along: 17 weeks
First child? #2
Any symptoms so far?
Mild nausea, lots of bloating in first tri, and of course the favourite wake ups to pee
Who have you told?
Mostly everyone, except because we live in a different province from family and close friends, and prefer to tell them in person or over the phone/Skype instead of announcing on FB, we still have a few more people to tell.
P.S. We have anatomy scan on Dec. 30!
olive / 64 posts
@SeptMomma12: The anticipation level definitely would have been upped! I'm thinking girl! Also, thanks again for updating the list!
@LC: Yay! Congrats!
@chanada: Have you had an ultrasound yet? I'm from Manitoba (not sure if it's the same in Sask.) and we don't generally have our first until 20 weeks but I was able to get a dating ultrasound early on. I absolutely can't wait to see our first "baby" ultrasound! The dating one just looked like a little bean with a flicker of a heartbeat (I was 8 weeks at the time).
We are holding fast to Team Green. Are there any others on our board?
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@Tippy0707: we're team green!! we loved it with lo1 so decided to do it again
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@Tippy0707: yay! I can't wait, almost halfway there I'm not a big fan of the newborn days but I prefer them to pregnancy
olive / 64 posts
@jetsa: I'm a first timer so I have nothing to compare too. But I've had a fairly easy pregnancy so not much to complain about. Cross my fingers that I had a nice easy newborn that sleeps all the time, has no problems breastfeeding and is happy all the time. Thats not much to ask for, is it? lol
cherry / 147 posts
@Tippy0707: Yes, we had a dating ultrasound. I started seeing the midwife a bit later so she recommended doing the scan at 12 weeks. We saw general baby moving around, face profile, hands, legs but still too early to see gender.
We were on team green for #1, but this time we're going to find out. Just to plan easier as we may be moving soon!
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
@jetsa: Ditto! I'm not excited about getting no sleep, but it beats being pregnant (hello guilt -free limitless wine & raw tuna sushi). I also think I will appreciate someone who is so immobile they can't go ANYWHERE. Not being mobile is such a distant memory, and I did not treasure it while I had it. Now I have a wild monster on the loose and it's madness!!! I didn't know how sweet it was that she couldn't even roll over the first few months- ha!

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and pretty pumped about halfway...My anatomy scan is Monday, I'm pumped to see her again:). Her tiny kicks have made their way over to the other side bc apparently she's long enough to cover both sides:)

Hi guys! I've missed you! Sorry for not checking in as much lately. Apparently life took over and while I was reading through, I was too lazy to type out responses (bring honest, though it makes me sound crazy lazy ). We are just over 17w and most everyone super close to us knows, but almost no one at work. It's entertaining. Someone that does know, however, but has zero filter, said it just looks like I had a ton of beer over the weekend. Ouch. I think I'll just start spreading the news faster now. Haha. Feeling kicks often, and DH finally felt it tonight. Can't wait until next Friday for the scan!! Hope you guys are all doing so well. Love seeing the bumps, I'll add one soon!
Oh and @SeptMomma12: thank you so much for keeping track of our due dates. If you remember next time you update, can you change mine to 5/19? Thanks!!

@PrincessBaby: That's crazy you are halfway! 20 weeks for me is New Years Day.
I'm not feeling too much over here. It's kinda weird. I forgot to ask yesterday if I have an anterior placenta. With my son, I was definitely feeling kicks at this point, but with this one, I just feel some weird fluttery, turning feelings every now and then. I assume it's baby but haven't had anything I am 100% sure
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
@SeptMomma12: FWIW I wasn't feeling her kicks consistently, multiple times a day until a few weeks ago! I think around 16 weeks I felt occasional little weird feelings, like you're mentioning. And it's really been within the last week and a half that I notice her quite a bit here and there during the day. And also she has been tracking almost a week ahead, so she's a Big Girl, lol.
pear / 1849 posts
@PrincessBaby: Yeah, this LO was a week ahead yesterday too. I grow them big! My son's "record" was measuring 3.5 weeks ahead at a 28 week ultrasound. Explains why he is off the charts now
I am hoping to start feeling her/him soon! It would make me feel better about all these stupid contractions I'm already getting.
bananas / 9229 posts
@Mrs. Lovejoy: I'm lurking from the June thread... How are you hiding it at work still? I'm hoping to wait it out until about 16ish weeks. Just not sure how I'll look or how I'll keep hiding it!
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
@SeptMomma12: Did your son come any earlier than his due date if he was so big? That is my fantasy, that this LO will come early:) We have a huge scheduling issue because of my husband's career/work schedule and if she would just come early, like end of April, it would help me to avoid a second induction! So I fantasize that large = early, but have no idea if that's true bc my DD was always right on track, to the day, and was born ant 6lb9oz (induced at 39).
kiwi / 549 posts
@SeptMomma12: my son was measuring ahead starting at 9 weeks! He was measuring 3 weeks ahead a week before delivery.
My 34 week preemie was, wait for it...
6 lbs 11oz 20inches! 2lbs over the norm. My fiancé is 6'3 lol. This baby was 3 days ahead at my last ultrasound. My Anatomy scan is 1-13!
pear / 1849 posts
@PrincessBaby: He came three days before his due date. I ended up needing a c-section though because he got stuck. I was on bed rest from 28 weeks until 36 weeks and they told me he would be here the weekend I went off bed rest...nope, he hung in for almost 4 more weeks! Will cross my fingers your LO listens though
pear / 1849 posts
@LindsayInNY: Someone in my office has the same due date as me (so 17 weeks tomorrow) and she is still hiding it. It's her first and I think it just totally depends on how you are carrying. She said she's been making an effort to wear looser shirts but honestly, I would have no idea she was pregnant if she didn't tell me. Meanwhile I told someone my anatomy scan was in January and they thought I was due in January based on my bump...
pear / 1558 posts
@Mrs. Lovejoy: @LindsayInNY: Yeah, I don't think anyone I haven't specifically told at work knows I am pregnant, either, here at 16wks. I have a little belly going on, but they may all just think I'm really enjoying some holiday cheer! Lol!
