    I've lost all desire to be TG this time and I cannot convince my DH to change his mind! I want to get an elective ultrasound and open on Christmas like someone else mentioned but he won't agree! Everyone swears LO is a girl and I want to be able to buy bows and dresses lol!

    @jetsa: awww lol. Bummer your DH wont agree. Im sure you will be happy you waited when the time comes! What is DH's/what was your reasoning for being TG?

    @jetsa: I'm totally a "moms call" kinda girl when it comes to that LOL. I know I'm no help! My back is hurting so bad, I'm looking forward to defining what I'm having instead of it being this obscure thing that causes me pain all the time!

  4. jetsa

    grapefruit / 4663 posts

    @Mrs squirreld: the reasoning was because that's how we did it last time and it was nice. His reasoning now for not is because we already told everyone we weren't finding out, boo

    @blackbird: hahaha he'd kill me if I tried to say that I've got back pain already this time too, I'm guessing a combination of lifting DS and pregnancy. PS, Purina farms was a++ DS was in love with all the dogs

    @blackbird: @Mrs squirreld: if I can find somewhere local that has an opening prior to christmas we're going to have them write it down and find out Christmas morning! Yay!

    @jetsa: Does your last note mean you convinced DH?!? So fun!

    Anyone else dealing with hip pain? I think it's related to sleeping on my side, since it's worst in the morning, but my hips are killing me. I was fine last time without pregnancy pillow, but now I'm debating it.

    grapefruit / 4663 posts

    @SeptMomma12: yes!! I'm so stoked!

    I just have a full body pillow I finally pulled it out last night and it made a huge difference!

    This LO is in my ribs today, it's like a constant side stitch!

    @jetsa: Yay! So exciting!

    Stupid question, but where do you put the body pillow? I think I'd prefer something like that to the massive pregnancy pillows they sell.

  9. jetsa

    grapefruit / 4663 posts

    @SeptMomma12: I actually just lay on my side with it between my legs and under my head idk why it helps but I slept more soundly last night than I have in weeks.

    @jetsa: so exciting!!! Glad you were able to convince him, and what an exciting Christmas surprise!

    @jetsa: Hooray! that is so exciting! We find out Friday, and I"m so tempted to wait until Christmas morning as well. But, then I'll totally revert to when I was like 7 and likely not sleep even a peep the night before. So, we'll probably go to a nice dinner Friday and open it then. Really says something about my patience, huh?

    clementine / 972 posts

    @jetsa: @SeptMomma12: Ah sleeping has been such a pain lately. DH bought me a body pillow for Christmas, and I cannot wait! When I was younger I slept with a body pillow and loved it.

    The only thing I can't quite figure out is how do I flip over middle of night (because I also get hip pain if I stay on one side too long). Do I just lug the pillow along with me under the covers? And, I'll need a back support so I'll have to move that too? haha. Oh the small qualms that come with pregnancy.

    pear / 1849 posts

    @Mrs. Lovejoy: I'm sleeping with a regular pillow between my legs right now and yes, it's such a pain to flip during the night! Especially because I also have a cat curled up against me too. Every time I flip, he sighs and jumps off the bed and lets out a loud meow, therefore waking DH also. I have a feeling I may end up in the guest room this pregnancy

  15. blackbird

    wonderful grape / 20453 posts

    @Mrs. Lovejoy: I have to move my pillow then turn over with it. I still sometimes wake up half on my stomach, which is an odd feeling, but i sink into memory foam a bit

    They moved my anatomy scan up to before Christmas! I can't wait to find out now that we've decided to!

    @Mrs. Lovejoy: haha, I'm known for my low patience and I was TG with #1

  17. Mrs. Lovejoy

    clementine / 972 posts

    @SeptMomma12: haha that sounds like quite the predicament! We kicked our dog out of the bed after we had LO1, so we don't deal with that anymore, but I used to have a 50lb goldendoodle curled up next to me too! I forgot about that.

    @blackbird: Yeah, I've totally found myself laying flat on my stomach or on my back. Both are uncomfortable (for different reasons), I don't know how I can sleep like that! Memory found sounds amazing though. Definitely easier to sink into.

    @PrincessBaby: I'll probably have my sister wrap balloons or something to open christmas morning. We'll have both sets of grandparents and all aunts/uncles at our home.

    Sleeping has been AWFUL for me lately (pretty much ever since I became pregnant this time). I get, at best, a 3 hour stretch at night. Between being uncomfortable in any position and my sinuses constantly bothering me...it just sucks.

    We have our u/s on Thursday AM. We're planning to have them write down the sex and open it together on Christmas....but I also plan on trying to see what I can tell during the u/s haha. I'd love to know a week before my husband

    @jetsa: No, i would have loved to have been but i am waay too impatient to do that. Im the kid that peeked at their Christmas presents by secretly unwrapping a bit of tape then wrapping it back up before christmas. Lol

    Ladies who are feeling movement, where are you feeling it? I swear I've been feeling kicks the last two days, but they are SO low. It makes sense that it would be kicks because it tends to be after eating sugary stuff or on the train (strangely also where I first felt my son), but I didn't know it was possible to be that low. Almost feels like the baby is in my groin, not my belly!
