Hi ladies! I won't have my anatomy scan until December 30th, so in the mean time I thought it'd be fun to guess the gender using the old wives tales that are out there ... Anyone else want to play along?

@LindsayInNY: I have no idea! I think I look pregnant, but apparently people aren't as perceptive as I thought. I do wear scarves, blazers, and cardigans often, so I'm thinking that's part of it. It's just hit or miss when I tell people if they say "you're kidding, I would have never known!" Or "oh I was wondering!" Lol. I think I just officially popped this week though (17w). Flowy shirts help too!

@SeptMomma12: I wasn't feeling anything but flutters until this week, so I'm sure they'll come soon! It's also pretty inconsistent, but helps if I lie still and quiet.

Acne -- Yep had acne too last time though, it's a pregnancy sign for me.
Heart Rate -- Above 140 The heart rate has been higher than last time but it was above 140 last time too.
Cravings -- None, well tea same as last time
Belly test -- im saying all in front though the bump is minimal that's how I carried last time too!
Clumsiness -- no worse than normal
Morning sickness -- nausea during first trimester
Dad's weight -- I think stable
Chinese gender -- So I am 3
, 4 , and 2 undetermined! The chinese gender calendar has always been right for me and my friends so that makes me think boy!ETA: to add picture, there's a bit of a bump I guess but it feels super tiny from last time!

Ring Test - too lazy to go find a piece of string to do this one, haha.
Acne - I've gotten a couple more pimples than usual but I feel like that owes to not being able to use salicylic acid or retinol while pregnant! Overall my skin has been great...so boy.
Heart Rate - Exactly 140! So no prediction there.
Cravings - Depends on the day. Some days sweet, some salty. So no prediction here either.
Belly test - The bump is pretty minimal but I guess it's all in front? Boy.
Clumsiness - I'm clumsy to begin with and not much has changed. Girl.
Morning sickness - I had two bad weeks in the first tri but otherwise have felt mostly good. Still, could go either way...
Dad's weight - Dad is one of those incredibly annoying individuals who is seemingly incapable of gaining weight. Boy.
Chinese gender - Boy.So, four votes for boy, one for girl, and three that could go either way. Our anatomy scan is next Wednesday, so we'll know soon!

Acne: I've had some breakouts and I rarely ever breakout. One pimple here or there from time to time?
Heart rate: girl
Cravings: honestly I have major aversions and just lack of appetite! So idk
Belly: I'm chunky so this is hard but my whole belly has rounded completely and last time it was very low, so I'm gonna guess girl.
Clumsiness: boy
Morning sickness: I've had more then my last pregnancy, no vomit just nausea. But still very minimal?
Dad's weight gain: he's probably gaining some cause he's away from home so I know he's eating crap lol. But he won't admit it.
Chinese gender chart: girlOverall I think boy still because it seems like my pregnancy is similar to the first. Buttttt then sometimes I think OH well this is different and think girl. I basically am all over the place and have no idea
12 days until my elective scan with my fiancé. It's a Christmas present cause he's working out of state and were flying to see him on the 22nd. Ultrasound is the 23rd -

Acne: Just a pimple here and there, so I say Boy
Heart rate: usually over 170, so Girl
Cravings: Sour, so - Boy
Belly: I feel like I look less wide than I did last pregnancy, so I'm going to say it's going more forward (it's kind of pointy?) - Boy
Clumsiness: Not really.. Girl
Morning sickness: Just the normal until 12 weeks. But same as last time, so I'll go Girl
Dad's weight gain: Mm. yeah, the man has no self control right now - Girl
Chinese gender chart: BoyBoy - 4. Girl - 4. Shoot, now I want to get string so I break the tie!

This is my first but I am very short waisted, so no where else for the extra to go but put front I guess.

So we know this is most likely a girl, but I will still play the gender game! Won't know for sure til January 6.
Ring Test-- Didn't do this
Acne -- Yes, bad
But I should note it was also pretty bad with my son.
Heart Rate -- It's been high. I think the lowest it's been is 157.
Cravings -- I've craved a mix of sweet and salty. Lots of candy and lots of Chipotle! No clear winner.
Belly test -- It's definitely all in front, but it's also definitely wider than it was with my son. With him, it was like a pointy torpedo sticking out of my belly! So I am going to say girl for this one just because it's different.
Clumsiness -- Always have been and still am!
Morning sickness -- Some mild nausea but nothing bad. But then again I threw up every morning with my son, which goes against the "norm."
Dad's weight -- I don't think it has changed.
Chinese gender -- The one I looked at said girl So that's 5 for

Checking in to say we are having a little GIRL! Had our scan on Monday and our little reveal party last night. We couldn't be happier. Hope everyone is doing well!

Acne: my skin was great last time...this time it is not
Heart rate: 173bpm although DS1 also had a heartrate around this!
Cravings: love me some salty 
Belly: same as a carried last time although a few kilos lighter
Clumsiness: haha I'm always clumsy.
Morning sickness: Urgh not as bad as last time, but still pretty horrid .....so last time it was worse and I had a boy! lol.

@SeptMomma12: I have some from kohl's they are "oh baby" brand. They feel like soft jersey cotton idk I'd you're going for comfy or what but they are amazing! Also kohl's has 30% right now if you have a charge card, code presents30. And there's free shipping code: DECMVC if you don't spend the required amount. I live in these things but I'm a SAHM. I save jeans for going out. The black ones could be wore with cute long sweaters though!

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been around to see how everyone has been. I'm terrible at keeping up with long threads.
Not much has been going on with me since I finally got over my MS at 15 weeks. Today was my anatomy scan and we found out its a boy! I also started feeling definite kicks for the first time today. Love it!
There was one thing at the anatomy scan that has me a little worried, though I'm trying not to. They found bilateral choroid plexus cysts in the brain. Apparently these are basically harmless and can happen in perfectly normal babies, or it could be a soft marker for Trisomy 18. They found no other abnormalities to indicate trisomy, which makes me feel a little better. They had me take a panorama blood test to see if anything comes up positive for chromosomal abnormalities. I haven't told anyone other than DH because I don't want our parents to worry. I have to wait 10 days for the results.

I don't know much about this stuff but I do remember before my anatomy scan with my son, my doctor warned me that there was a high chance they would find "soft markers" for something. They didn't but he made it sound very common. How long will it take to get the panorama test results? I will be sending positive thoughts to you and baby boy!

@SeptMomma12: That makes sense. The good thing is they found only one marker. Results will be back in 10 days, by which I imagine they mean business days. That would be the 26th. I wonder if they will even be in the office to call me then

@macintosh: it's actually FISH. They do fluorescence on the sample and it gives you results in 48 hours. I don't really know much about it, just that they check chromosomes quickly that way for a prelim result
But I should note it was also pretty bad with my son.
