@sorrycharlie: Aw, so glad you told your parents! It's so nice to have a couple of people to talk to about it.
@keepcalmcarrie: Hope your LO feels better soon! I know that must be scary. I'll be thinking about you guys!
So, in the last 24 hours, I have cried a) watching The Big Bang Theory (not kidding) and b) at church. I guess this means I'm still pregnant.

@keepcalmcarrie: it is so scary when your LO is sick. I hope all is well soon!
@mfa_lady: I saw a dead goose in the road on the way to my parents and sobbed and then on the way home, an inchworm hung onto my hood for dear life for the entire ride, so I rewarded him and saved him when I parked. I put it in our front yard. I know they eat plants though, FIL is going to kill me! LOL. what he doesn't know what hurt him

@sorrycharlie: You sound EXACTLY like me!! I'm a crier anyway, but now...my goodness. So many feelings!!!!

@Oliviapope: still feel anxious here as well even though I had an US already. I think what's making me more anxious is knowing that we're going to tell family members about it next weekend. I think if we were going to keep it under wraps for longer, i wouldn't be thinking about it as much. But telling people makes it more real. I wish I could have weekly ultrasounds to ease my mind lol
I hope it gets better in the second trimester.

@keepcalmcarrie: oh no! I hope your LO feels better. My nephew had croup several times and I hated hearing that barking cough. My sister was giving him nebulizer treatments at home which helped him.

@keepcalmcarrie: oh no, hope J is better!
@pmrlady: hope telling everyone will ease your fears! I really hope having the U/S will let me relax a little. Also I think we'll probably tell our parents after that.
@mfa_lady: Soooo tired. DH was awesome this weekend and got up with B so I could sleep in. When I crashed on the couch this afternoon he took care of him and fed him etc. very, very thankful for the break.
Just glad we're back home now. The stupid train was 40' late so it took us 5 hours from door to door. Arrrgggg...

@Pumuckl: It's getting to the point where I don't know how I'm going to make it through the work day. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, and I've been getting progressively more exhausted by the day. This weekend, I've taken 2 - 3 hour naps both days. And it's not even like I've been doing anything tiring! I think I should probably go to bed at like 8PM tonight....
I can't even imagine feeling like this with a little one! Kudos to you for managing! And so nice of DH to help out! Hope you got a little rest.

I hate to turn this thread into a downer, but I'm out. I had dark brown spotting last night and I just knew. ER for many hours this morning confirmed; hcg is at 2. I'm not feeling as sad as I thought, just very frustrated. There are a lot of Why's going through my mind.
I'll be hiding this thread tomorrow morning; I wish you all the best and a happy, healthy 9mo!

@Oliviapope: I was diagnosed with PPA 14m after having my son and my anxiety is ouuuuut of control now as well.
@mfa_lady: crying up a storm over here as well!!! I wsa a crier before, but now it's a whole new level!
@keepcalmcarrie: I hope your LO feels better soon!
@sorrycharlie: how exciting to tell your family!!!!
@mij, @Gigi2: welcome!! So glad you're both here!!!
Wow, I missed a lot over the weekend! Thanks for those of you that checked in on me. My appointment last week went well! My first ultrasound is scheduled for next Tuesday - I can't WAIT! I had tons of bloodwork and they talked to me for a long time, and that was about it. It wasn't super involved, so it still doesn't feel "real". I think it'll feel moreso once I have the ultrasound. It's going to be a LONG week/weekend waiting!!

Oh, and totally forget while catching up with everyone....
how's everyone feeling now? I'm just 6w and the nausea is HORRIBLE. Still no vomiting thankfully. Also, TMI....I am totally waking up in the middle of the night with diarrhea that last through the morning. It's awful. I feel like crap.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@ValentineMommy: OMG, yes I have the diarrhea too. First I thought it was a stomach bug but now I don't think so, since every one else is just fine. Also I seem to have more trouble with it during the day than at night. Glad it's only a week until your u/s appointment although that will probably still feel too long.
I have my appointment coming up in 20 min and I'm getting nervous
pomelo / 5791 posts
@Pumuckl: I'm glad I'm not the only one with bathroom issues lol....though I'm sorry you're going through it too! It's awful!!! Good luck at your appointment!!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Can I just say I'm officially scared of a m/c now? I was before, but now I really am. Ugh, this anxiety.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@ValentineMommy: I texted my bff this last night: "#pregnantladyproblems: felt crappy this morning, took a huge nap (same as yesterday), woke up and felt good enough to clean the house a little and make dinner...and since I feel normal I am afraid something is wrong. DUMB."
It's so hard not to be afraid--but like my friend said, don't let that creep in! We are doing all we can do (which, unfortunately, isn't much) to make sure things are okay--and it's better to be joyous than scared! It is so tough...but we can do it!
My US is next Thursday--TEN DAYS! (not that I'm counting or anything)--and I'm hoping I'll feel a lot better after that.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@mfa_lady: Yay! I know you're right, it's just so hard. It'll be much better once we see those little ones in there!!!

okay, so back from my appointment: All is looking good. They cannot see the bubs yet but the sac is there and where it's supposed to be (so in utero) and there's an emby beginning to grow Measured right on track for 5+4. Next public viewing session is scheduled for June 11th.

@Pumuckl: Yay! So glad you got a good report. We'll all be counting down with you for that next US. (I'm certain it will be a GREAT appointment, because that's a great day--my wedding anniversary! )

@ValentineMommy: @mfa_lady: Thank you sweet ladies! I must confess that I feel pretty relieved right now! It's just gotten a lot more real though - 2 under 2!!!

Thanks to all for the anxiety responses. It's weird, my general anxiety about life in general seems to have faded, but worry over what might happen during this pregnancy seems to have taken its place.
@Pumuckl: that's great news! So happy for you that you could see something.
@ValentineMommy: glad to hear you had a good appt. hope time passes quickly until your u/s. I'm feeling oddly ok. It makes me so nervous. Nausea is slight and comes and goes. Boobs still pretty sore. Had a super long nap yesterday. So weird that I wish I felt worse b/c I'm convinced that would make me more confident in this pregnancy. So sorry about the bathroom stuff - it must make you exhausted waking up and dealing with that. I have the opposite issue if you know what I mean.
--
I'm so excited for my appt tomorrow. I love my NP anyway, and just looking forward to "official" confirmation if that makes sense.
Anyone else have appointments this week? Or anything else you're looking forward to? I have this week off, so hoping to plan a couple of fun day trips with DH. Of course it's supposed to rain all week . . .
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Oliviapope: I hear you on the wanting to feel worse. I felt super crappy all week last week, and when I got literally three hours of feeling normal yesterday, I automatically assumed something was wrong. It's craziness--but it's also normal. We're all doing the best we can! I'll be thinking of you--I hope that "official" confirmation will help a little, too.
Have fun on your week off, lady!

We told our parents this weekend. We sent them a little video of our kiddos with a bunch of pictures "training" for a new baby. I think my parents were in shock, but they're excited. My MIL was really cute. She was sooooo excited. It's nice to know that our parents know now.

@mij: aww!! Yay!
My first NP appt is 6-16, my first OB appt is 7-1 and that is when we get a dating ultrasound. I am much more nervous of a miscarriage this time around..
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@mij: Yay, sounds adorable. We do a weekly upload of pictures to a shared fotostream and we're kind of thinking of just adding fotos with B wearing a big brother t-shirt this weekend. I'll just have to find one we like. I feel a lot better doing it now that we know that everything looks just the way it is supposed to.
@sorrycharlie: I'm still scared of a miscarriage. That thread the other week about a lot of m/c happening between #1 and #2 didn't help either. But then the u/s today eased me a little bit and neither my mom nor my MIL suffered m/c so I really hope it'll work out.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@Pumuckl: I feel like it's such a mom-centered site that I read more about miscarriages on here than I have ever heard IRL - so I feel like the odds are stacked against me when perhaps they aren't? the thread about chemical pregnancies and all the comments of late first tri miscarriages terrify me. I wasn't this obsessive or nervous with my daughter..no idea why.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@sorrycharlie: I agree with this--honestly sometimes when I get super freaked out, I have to step away from Hellobee. While it's wonderful that we are all so open and honest, it also sometimes makes me worry WAY more.
In general, I am consistently terrified of MC because I have been there, and it sucked, and no matter how much you hear "It happens to x number of people x number of times blah blah blah" it's hard not to wonder if it means something is wrong. BUT...this time around, I am trying to revel in the fact that I really do feel differently about the pregnancy, and I'm trying to stay really positive. It's really hard, but I'm trying every day!
