@mfa_lady: no problem!
@Pumuckl: added ValentineMommy's appointment - thanks!
@sorrycharlie: @Pumuckl: @mfa_lady: I'm terrified of m/c too I'm driving DH nuts because I keep pushing back our announcement date. I'm so scared I'm going to announce the pregnancy, then m/c the next day.
The fact that I'm not having too many pregnancy symptoms is messing with my head. I actually wished for a little morning sickness yesterday so it would feel more real. I'm sure if I end up having morning sickness I am going to regret that though...
I'm trying to take it one day at a time and enjoy the fact that "I am pregnant today".

@charmed: Amen, sister! "Today, I am pregnant." That is actually one of the hardest mantras for me, since my previous MC was a missed MC--because, basically, even though I was telling myself that and not having bleeding or anything...it kind of wasn't true. But, I keep reminding myself that this pregnancy is not my last pregnancy....and there is a little babe growing in there this time....and I get to see it in ten days!!
apricot / 316 posts
@Pumuckl: glad your appointment went well and you got to see the US.
@mfa_lady: I am also scared of having an m/c especially a missed one. I can't imagine how you went through that last time at 11 weeks. But I read somewhere that missed MC only make up 1% of all MCs so I try to remember that.
I still say a little thank you prayer everyday that I get up and am not bleeding.

@mfa_lady: thanks here's hoping we find the balance of enough symptoms without feeling terrible. Or, even better, that we get to a state of mind to relax and enjoy this.
@mij: how exciting! So glad you got to share the news.
@charmed: thanks for updating the list! It's nice to have that reference.
I'm also with you, @pumuckl, @mfa_lady and @pmrlady with the miscarriage fear. I really like the approach of one day at a time. When I'm feeling anxious generally, focusing what I'm grateful for seems to help. Maybe that's the approach I need to take.
So, today I am grateful that it's sunny, I'm off, and that my boobs look great in the shirt I've got on that's not usually the case!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@charmed: Thank you for the list update!!! and to @Pumuckl: for noticing I was missing
@pmrlady: The idea of a missed m/c really freaks me out as well.
It helps to know that we all have the same fears, but I just want to speed these weeks up. I can't wait until at least 10 weeks so I can obsessively use my doppler. Lol

@charmed: Thank you for getting this updated!
My appointment was moved to 28th and I have a new doctor that I've never seen. I think my old doctor left her practice? I haven't gotten the "official information" yet but I'm so ready to go the doctor already.
@mfa_lady: I LOVE this mantra. Thank you for making me think of this in a brand new light! I also have been terrified of M/C lately but all of this nausea sort of reassures me a bit.
@Oliviapope: Your positive energy is making me feel better today.
DH told the MIL this weekend. She's older (late 60's), it's her first grandchild, and she's my go-to for holistic medicine advice so it was hard not to tell her! She was pretty excited. Hope you ladies are well!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@pmrlady: I think they are pretty rare! Like @sorrycharlie: said earlier, though, being on a place like HB makes us way more informed than we would usually be!
@Oliviapope: Yes! I was telling my husband last night that it's the most absurd thing--either you feel so crappy you can't enjoy it, or you feel so good you're too scared to enjoy it. Come onnnn, second tri!!
@namaste: Isn't it funny, the things we say/think when pregnant? "Oh, I'm so happy for this encouraging nausea!" When else is that appropriate?
pomelo / 5791 posts
@mfa_lady: That exactly how I feel - either really good (and then scared something happened), or sick and miserable!! It's so weird.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@ValentineMommy: Such a bummer, right? I think we're going to feel a lot better when we see these little beans in real life.
Also--anyone else still dealing with weird zits? I'm 7 weeks today and am suddenly getting zits all over the bridge of my nose. It's almost like the plastic of my glasses has caused them, or something--that's right where they are. Ugh! Haha. This baby-growing business is so glamorous.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@namaste: yay for first grandchild.
@ValentineMommy: @mfa_lady: we pregnant ladies are totally nuts
pomelo / 5791 posts
@mfa_lady: yuuuup - I keep getting them on my chin! ugh.
@Pumuckl: you got that right! It's a shame I was crazy anxious before (and had no excuse!) lol
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
@charmed: Thanks for updating the list! Don't redo it just to add this, but next time you do it, I have an ultrasound on Monday : ) I think it's the 26th : )
@mfa_lady: YES! It's driving me nuts. I have bad skin anyway but now I can't use anything for it and I know it's going to go absolutely insane
I hear you all on the miscarriage fears. I'm sure I was in the throes of sickness at this stage last time and although I've had days of feeling awful this time around, this weekend I've felt really quite good, which makes we wonder why!!!
The emotional thing didn't get me last time at all, and not much this time either, but yesterday I saw a bride and groom doing their first look while I was stroller napping LO and I totally blubbed. It was so sweet to watch though!
nectarine / 2242 posts
@mfa_lady: @travelgirl1: amen to skin issues! I take a daily antibiotic for my crazy bad rosacea and can't be on it while preggo or breastfeeding, and my face is so bad already :-(. I'm thinking of calling my derm to see if there's an alternative that's safe.
persimmon / 1096 posts
@mfa_lady: @travelgirl1: @MrsTiger: My skin issues are getting worse and worse too. My breakouts have reached sophomore in high school status.
That and constipation are my two most notable symptoms. I spent much of today feeling nauseous, but that still seems to come and go.
Oh, and hormonal moods. I'm easily annoyed all the time right now. I usually get along beautifully with DH, but the past few days, everything he is doing is annoying me. Stupid, tiny stuff. Plus he's suddenly being extra sensitive and almost mopey over my bad mood, which is making it even worse.
I'm eating ice cream out of the carton with a spoon right now. It's delicious. I'm disgusting.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@keepcalmcarrie: hahaha, na you ain't disgusting you're pregnant!
@MrsTiger: Oh I hope your Doc will have something that you can take.
But I hear you all on the emotional messiness. I cannot watch anything on TV right now that has content with violence against children or children getting hurt in any way. Don't remember being such a wussy last time.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@pmrlady: Don't feel bad. I'm pretty sure at 6 weeks, I look like I did at 15w last time. You're fine!
@travelgirl1: I wasn't emotional AT ALL last time, and this time I'm a mess!!!! It's so weird how hormones react differently each time.
@mfa_lady: @travelgirl1: @MrsTiger:@keepcalmcarrie: Skin issues here as well! My chin looks like it did in high school. Ick.
@keepcalmcarrie: I basically have wanted to kill DH every single day for the past few weeks and I know it's over dumb stuff. I am so, so irritable that it's annoying ME! And you're not disgusting, ice cream is delicious!
persimmon / 1313 posts
@pmrlady: Pizza sounds so good right now. (Hah breakfast) You're totally ok.
@keepcalmcarrie: On and off constipation here too! Paired with the bloating, I look like a balloon.
@Pumuckl: Watching any of that on TV would probably wreck me right now.
I'm a little weepy at times but no anxiety or anger, just lots of love towards everyone. It's probably annoying everyone to no end.
persimmon / 1177 posts
@mfa_lady: I'm getting zits by my temple, and I keep getting one in my right eyebrow - wth hormones?
@pmrlady: I totally pigged out on pizza this weekend I keep telling DH to eat the leftovers in the fridge before I do!
@keepcalmcarrie: @Pumuckl: emotional mess here too! Last night when I was trying to fall asleep, I started thinking about how I haven't hung out with my sister lately, and started crying about it! Like, ugly cry, had to go hide in the bathroom b/c I didn't want to wake up DH. Then I remembered I saw her Mother's Day weekend, and was totally fine.
I've also been having hot flashes, then I'm freezing. It's like there is no in between.
pea / 8 posts
Okay, I was SO bloated yesterday that I legit looked 4 or 5 months pregnant. Thank goodness I was wearing a really flowy dress at work, so it wasn't as obvious. I"m starting to have nightmares about how giant I'm going to be by 8 months or so!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@charmed: I've been freezing ALL week. Last week was hot flashes. WTH??
@mij: Right there with you, sister. I'm convinced there's more than one in there cause there's no way I can be this big already with one.....right????
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@ValentineMommy: @mij: Every evening I look at what I perceive is my giant baby belly and think WTH! And then each morning it's nearly all gone! Haha, so really it mainly bloat. Confession I do the “suck it in test” a lot. So basically if I can still suck it in, I know it ain’t no baby belly
I have sooo incredibly cold feet every evening that I've gone to bed with my fleece socks for the last couple of days... Temperature during the day are in the mid 70! I does not make any sense at all.
persimmon / 1313 posts
@mij: That was me on Saturday. I tried to wear a pencil skirt, and I nearly ripped it off. I looked 4 months pregnant.
Today, I look back to normal for the most part but ugh, when I'm bloated, I look huge.
pineapple / 12793 posts
@ValentineMommy: @mij: I'm with you ladies with the big tummy. It's ridiculous.
Finally booked my ultrasound June 19th...boo. I wanna see this baby now!
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@ValentineMommy: haha, now you have me scared of next week.
I think flowy dresses will be my friends until July. I totally have a tiny baby bump. About the same size it was at 9-10w last time. But not to pronounced yet. You ladies have me worried how soon I'll get big...
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
so beyond nauseous over here..I'm sure it will get worse, though! I don't have my first NP visit (pointless) til June 16. My first OB visit til July 1 that's when I'll have a dating US. It feels so far away..
continuing my obsession and worrying with miscarriages, I know generally symptoms are good (indicating hormones!) but with a missed miscarriage do people generally still have symptoms? I think I'm so worried because a family member had a missed miscarriage between her two kids and didn't find out til 12 weeks
pineapple / 12793 posts
@sorrycharlie: according to the google some women with missed MCs still feel symptoms the whole time. not to add to your MC stress. I've googled it a lot the past few weeks.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@sorrycharlie: @oliviaoblivia: now you're BOTH freaking me out!
I'm sure everything is fine!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
I'm feeling really bloated at night, too! But honestly, that's not all that unusual for me (TMI? haha) so I know it's not baby belly.
@sorrycharlie: @oliviaoblivia: With my missed MC, I found out at 11 weeks and development had stopped at 6. I did still have symptoms, but they hadn't changed at all. My boobs were still sore, I was still kind of tired....so it was almost like my symptoms were stuck on 6w1d, if that makes any sense. This time, I'm trying to find hope in the changing of symptoms!
pomelo / 5791 posts
Am I the only one whose symptoms change DAILY? For example, friday night I was super sick overnight and nauseous. Saturday night I was fine. Sunday night, sick again like friday. Last night, I was fine. WTH?
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@ValentineMommy: I have mostly the same symptoms daily, but at varying levels! It's so bizarre. It makes it really hard to meal plan, more than anything--will I be able to eat normal food, or will I need white rice?! Haha.
One thing that has changed is this stupid zit problem. That kind of just happened overnight. Ugh!
Like I said in my last post, I'm trying to revel in any changes that I do notice! I just want to know that stuff is happenin' in there! 9 days til my US...
pomelo / 5791 posts
@mfa_lady: Seriously. 7 days for me till the u/s and it's the longest 7 days of my life.
and you're right. I do typically feel nauseated at SOME point during the day, to some degree. Sigh....
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@ValentineMommy: @mfa_lady: still kind of the same symptoms but I didn't have too many symptoms with #1 so it is nothing that worries me all too much (queasiness and tiredness on the physical level and the emotionalness concerning children on the psychological level so far).
pomegranate / 3921 posts
Okay, guys, I just got super emotional at work (surprise, surprise). My cousin and his wife just found out yesterday that they're having another baby girl (!!!) and I just ordered yarn to use to make a blanket for her.
While I was ordering it, I realized that I could be making a blanket for MY OWN BABY soon! It was almost too much for me to handle. I just hope so, so much that this pregnancy is fine and good and perfect and that I'm really going to get a little babe of my own in January!
Okay, pregnant lady weepiness over.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@mfa_lady: ahhhhh, hugs you'll love making the blanket for your LO! I'm talking from experience here and now I'm all weepy because you're weepy. I want this all to work out soooooo bad for you!
cherry / 132 posts
Hi ladies! Love following all your updates and posts and symptoms, etc. I already feel like you're all much more on top of this pregnant thing than I am! I'm just muddling along, missing my diet coke habit....work has been insane but every so often it will pop into my head ("I'm still pregnant! Woo!") and DH and I are so excited when together at the end of a long, tiring day.
I do have some questions for you though - I have a BUNCH of travel/trips planned for the next two months. Some work/required, some supposed to be fun. I was not expecting to be pregnant and to get lucky so soon after CP! So, what would you do? I'm off on a trip tomorrow night (flying/work) and worrying about keeping v. early pregnancy a secret from work-related people w/ no drinking, sleepiness, etc.. Then, off on a trip at 8 weeks (flying) to FL for work, don't think I can get out of it. Then off on a trip at 11 weeks to Europe for what was supposed to be a fun girl's trip, but now am worried I will be exhausted, sick, staying in not so nice hotels, with a bunch of childless ladies that want to go out partying! Then a fitness/health spa trip in the desert (oops!) at 14 weeks.... I'm worrying. I don't want to waste a bunch of $ on trips that aren't fun and are potentially dangerous for baby. But I also genuinely don't know what I'll be up for! Is it smarter to pull the plug on the two "optional" trips (Europe, desert health spa) now?! Also don't want to count chickens before they hatch. What would you all do? Dumb of me to plan all of this in such quick succession...
pea / 8 posts
@Gigi2: I would vote go if at all possible! It's not impossible by any means to travel after the baby is born, but it's different because you have to plan more, can't be as spontaneous, can't relax quite as much. Too bad you can't ditch the work trips and just go on the fun ones! I will say, I think if it were me I would tell whoever I was traveling with so I didn't have to stress about hiding it, and they'd be more understanding if I needed to rest more, etc.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@Gigi2: another vote for definitely go! I travelled a lot while pregnant with B and I was fine. Just make sure you hydrate and get compression stockings for the flight. Also I always had some dextrose on hand. I would probably also let your GF in on the secret that should take some pressure off of you.
