    Child #: 2 , DD is 17 months.

What type of provider will you see?/What type of birth do you want to have?: obgyn. All I care about is safety and I am not opposed to meds.

What a busy day!! Today's the day I work and I miss it all

OMG I've just eaten a whole bag of chips (not a super large one but big enough) and one of the freshly baked banana-chocolate chip muffins oh my it's 10:30pm here and I've had dinner with B as well... I'll have a food belly in no time

    Thanks everyone!

    @Gigi2: Yeah!

@sorrycharlie: I just changed one of the nastiest diapers during a bout of nausea (I really need to eat something). I am not liking how early this is happening this time.

  14. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

@Radish: diaper changes are horrible right now! I gag whenever there's a poopy diaper. No throwing up so far though. And luckily he usually goes during his daycare hours

@mfa_lady: I am really excited about being in this group. I was like there is no way I'm going to get a BFP and get to be in this group with all these awesome women.

@Radish: yeah..I'm pretty sure nausea didn't hit til 6 weeks last time! what is the deal with this? I thought it was all in my head, but it's not I just have to keep eating!

    Congrats to the new mommas!

I am with you guys on the whole constant eating thing. Sometimes after I haven't eaten for a few hours, I get such bad hunger pains as if I was fasting the whole day. Combine that with the bloating and constipation and I already have trouble buttoning my pants

I'm gonna feel so self conscious this weekend with all the family members around ugh...

@NerdBee: Yaaaaay, playdates!!!! Congratulations, such great news!

@Radish: @SnowLion: Welcome and congratulations, great to have you here!

Sorry to everyone who has nausea, that sucks I've actually felt sick today and I was SO HAPPY about it, because last time I was on prescription meds for it by this point, it's weird to feel so normal this time.

My 18-month-old had THE biggest meltdown tonight (screaming and kicking in the bath, epic wailing) because she wanted my Preggie Pops!!! Ha ha. Honestly. She likes taking them all out of the container and putting them back in and was pissed that I wouldn't let her take them in the bath. She actually wanted to take them to bed too. Guess I'll have a fight on my hands if I actually need to use them

@namaste: Ick, hope you're feeling better!

@pmrlady: I'm definitely showing at this point. It's not just a bloat baby anymore.....ugh. Eating all these carbs are definitely not helping either!

@travelgirl1: I felt sick last time by now and only feel a kinda nagging hunger/slight nausea. Nothing like last time! It's making me kinda anxious for whatever reason. Who wants to have m/s??? What's wrong with me? Lol That's so funny about your LO! I'm glad DS hasn't found my preggie pops yet!

  23. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

@travelgirl1: Haha, my LO likes playing with them because they make a rattling sound. He never wanted to eat them though.

I nearly fainted at my desk this morning. *ohoh*
Luckily I was sitting and nobody noticed that I couldn't see anything for a few seconds. I'm so glad once I can belt out that I AM PREGNANT.

I posted this on another thread, but...if you're a hummus consumer, watch out for these particular ones right now! They've been recalled due to listeria risk. http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm398106.htm

I have the week from hell this week--meetings every night until 7, 8, 9PM...and it's killing me. I have a board meeting tonight that I think might do me in....but hopefully I'll make it! Tomorrow night, I can get a nap after work!

Am I the only one that is struggling with showers? When I shower in the morning, when I'm already kind of lightheaded and icky-feeling, I feel SO TERRIBLE afterwards...clammy, dizzy, like I'm going to pass out. I'm still just reminding myself that this is all good stuff--with my missed MC, I had very similar symptoms but not to the extent I'm having them now.

And since we all know I'm using my countdown to get through the days...officially ONE WEEK til my US!

Hope everybody has a great morning/day!

  25. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@Pumuckl: I felt like that last night while blow drying my hair! Ughhhh. I feel you on wanting to tell people. I'm ready to belt it out. I don't think I'm going to make it much longer. Once we have the u/s and see the heartbeat, I'm pretty sure I'm going to start blabbing.

@mfa_lady: Thanks for the hummus info! That's scary! I felt exactly the same last night when I got out of the shower (and I felt that way last time too). Dizzy, clammy, faint, and just....gross. Thankfully it passed quickly, but it did get worse for me last time. Yay for one more week!!!!!!! 5 days for me, and time is moving SO slowly!!!

@travelgirl1: @ValentineMommy: what are these preggie pops you're talking about?

@mfa_lady: Yay for only 1 week until your ultrasound!
@ValentineMommy: and only 5 days for you? That's great!
I'm jealous though, mine is still 2 weeks away!

I'm pretty sure I am experiencing pregnancy rhinitis. I did not have it last time. My hunger/nausea/food aversions have been worse thus far (3 days) than they ever were last time. I am kinda scared of how bad everything will get but also excited because I am KU!

  28. Pumuckl

    pomegranate / 3601 posts

I had to skip lunch today (only had some cornflakes I keep for emergancy purposes) and I am so queasy. Not really sick but not well either... Hopefully they'll have lots of yummy food at B's daycare party.

@charmed: They're a hard sour candy....totally help with m/s. Here's a link...... http://www.amazon.com/Preggie-Pop-Drops-Pieces-Assortment/dp/B000EILS0Y They sell them at BRU and buybuybaby as well. They're yummy!

@Radish: I weirdly have more aversions that cravings. Yesterday I could not stand the thought of chicken....and then wanted it for dinner. Lol It's so strange how the second preg is completely different from the first!

  30. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

Man, I can not stop peeing. I've already gone 5 times this morning!!!! It's gonna be a long day!!!!

  31. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Pumuckl: Same here! We have a friend who has been staying with us while he is house hunting (don't worry, he's paying! Haha) and I am so embarrassed by how much I sleep/how many carbs I eat/how worthless I have been the last few weeks. I can't wait to be like HEY PAL! I'M NOT THE LAZIEST PERSON ON EARTH....JUST PREGNANT! Hahahahaha.

@Radish: I hope you feel better soon!

@Pumuckl: This is pretty much exactly how I feel every day--gross/unwell, but not exactly sick either. It's the worst. I feel like everyone around me must be picking up on the fact that something is up...

    @ValentineMommy: FIVE DAYS! Yahoooo!

  32. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@mfa_lady: I was just telling my husband how nice it is to not have to worry about hiding it this time because I'm not in an office where people see me all day everyday. Especially since it is already way worse this time.

  33. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@mfa_lady: One of my coworkers just mentioned how I've been eating all carbs for the last week. I'm not going to be able to hide this much longer......

  34. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Radish: Yes! I have to hide it at work (grumpy, queasy, exhausted) AND at home, because our friend is staying with us! It's the complete pits. We may tell our live-in friend about it after our US next week....I think it may expedite his house hunt a bit. (Not that we want him out....I just think he'll be freaked out about living with a pregnant lady once he knows. Haha.)

@ValentineMommy: Yeeeeeaaaahhhhh....I have been living off of crackers, bagels, and the occasional cup of applesauce at work. And it hasn't been much better at home! My two immediate supervisors know about my MC last year, so there's a chance I'll tell them after the US next week, too. The craziest time of year for my job is Nov - April, and since I'll be out starting in early January, I want them to be prepared for that, too, especially since we have to approve the upcoming FY budget soon. They're going to be so excited for me but so aggravated at the same time. Oops!

  35. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

Oh, also....I'm literally spilling out of the bra I have on today. Pregnancy FTW!

  36. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@mfa_lady: I'm eating a gigantic bagel as we speak lol. I told my boss early this week, as I was feeling really sick and thought I might have to start taking sick leave. I'm not a great liar! haha I wish I had the bra issue - my boobs have not gotten the memo to get bigger. They didn't last time either!

I'm not sure we talked about this....and it's still early, but....
Who's going to find out the gender and who's team green? I'm having a blood test in a few weeks that will tell us the gender and I can not wait!

  37. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@ValentineMommy: Hahaha, my boobs get huge (well, that's a relative term...huge for me, which is not really that huge at all) when I'm pregnant. When my missed MC from hell finally finished up early this year, and my boobs went back to normal size, my husband and I were both kind of like "Oh. Is this really how they are?" Hahahaha.

I'm pretty sure we'll find out the gender. We talked about team green before I got pregnant the first time, and liked the idea....but then two days after my first BFP, DH asked me how soon could we find out if it was a boy or girl. Haha. And this time around....honestly, after what we went through last year, I think we just want to know everything there is to know about this little peanut.

  38. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

@mfa_lady: I'm a B...so anything bigger would be nice. Lol. Mine never even had milk come in. I think they are just defective entirely. Oh well!

I like the idea of finding out in the delivery room....but I'm waaaay too much of a planner to logistically let that happen. I need to know asap

  39. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@ValentineMommy: I hear you on that. I am in love with the idea of team green...some of our best friends just did it with their LO, and even knowing she was in labor was so much more exciting because of the extra surprise. But, for us....I just don't think it's going to work, at least not this time around.

    @SnowLion: @Radish: Congrats & welcome!

@ValentineMommy: We really like the idea of being Team Green, but I can't decide for sure what I want to do. Here the thing: if it's a girl, I want to know so I can get girly clothes, a few girly things for the nursery, etc.. But if it's a boy, I don't want to know until delivery. Can I be half Team Green?!?!?
