@mfa_lady: Ugh very sick lady over here. Thanks 12 weeks!

I'm having a baby!!! Seriously, guys. It didn't feel real until now. Even with the insomnia, fatigue, and general crumminess, I couldn't wrap my brain around it until now.

My hips are sooooo sore today. Especially when I sit on the toilet. OMG how are they getting any wider?

Still here! I cannot seem to keep up, this board moves at lightening speed

10 weeks 2 days today, and my nausea is mostly gone! I did feel pretty sick around lunch today, but it was really noticeable because I've been feeling so much better like @mfa_lady: (hope you feel better again soon!)

My bump is out of control. I definitely look like I did between 5-6 months pregnant with LO#1 - a little scary, and definitely hard to conceal. I'm wearing a lot of very loose shirts, not a flattering look but oh well!

Maybe we could do a little catch up survey since we have so many newcomers and some of us (ahem) are a little out of the loop

    How far along?
    Most noticeable symptom?
Best moment of pregnancy so far?
    Weirdest moment so far?
Do you have a guess boy/girl?

How far along? 10 weeks 2 days
Most noticeable symptom? My sense of smell is insane
Best moment of pregnancy so far? Looking at newborn clothes again - so small and sweet!!
Weirdest moment so far? This bump popping out wayyy earlier than I was expecting
Do you have a guess boy/girl? I'm guessing it's a girl, because this pregnancy has been pretty different so far than with my DS. But I guessed he was a girl, so I don't have a great track record. And I'm definitely Team Green, so as tempted as I am by tiny baby girl clothes, I'll wait until the end to know for sure!

    @keepcalmcarrie: Good idea!

How far along? 11 weeks 5 days

Most noticeable symptom? Exhaustion + nausea + bloating (I know that's three, but...)

Best moment of pregnancy so far? First ultrasound! I cried so much when we saw and heard that little heartbeat.

Weirdest moment so far? Pretty much every time I think I peed myself because of the huge amounts of CM this baby apparently makes me produce. Ugh!

Do you have a guess boy/girl? I kind of feel like it's a girl. But my only reason for thinking that is because with our MC, I was CERTAIN it was a boy (we didn't do testing so I'll never know for sure) and this time I don't have a strong feeling one way or another. We'll see! Only a couple more months before I can find out!

How far along? I think I've finally passed 8 weeks - can't wait for an official due date.
Most noticeable symptom? Nausea all day.
Best moment of pregnancy so far? BFP since I haven't had my doctors appointment to get a peek inside yet.
Weirdest moment so far? Being out of commission most of the time - last pregnancy I had no issues. I'm lucky that I've had a lot of outside help for the past month with DD or she would be watching a lot of tv while I lay on the couch.
Do you have a guess boy/girl? Nope and I have no preference either.

    How far along? 12 weeks!
Most noticeable symptom? Exhaustion is still kicking my butt. Thankfully during the day I have my energy back and haven't been nauseous for a few days.
Best moment of pregnancy so far? Honestly, sharing the news. I love seeing how excited everyone is for us.
Weirdest moment so far? After my NT scan when I was convinced I was having a baby dinosaur. Still struggling with that actually.
Do you have a guess boy/girl? girl. My husbands family doesn't make boys. And it would be convenient to be able to reuse all of DD's clothes.

@keepcalmcarrie: The second time mom bump is crazy isn't it! I'm only 12 weeks but it's sooooo obvious that I'm pg.

    How far along?
    8 weeks tomorrow

    Most noticeable symptom?
    Nausea+fatigue+hot+sore boobs (everything)

Best moment of pregnancy so far?
Finding out and when I told DH

    Weirdest moment so far?
Taking off my bra one night and finding out I'd grown giant nips!

Do you have a guess boy/girl?
I used to always think I'd have a girl but now I've been having these feelings about a boy.

  16. oliviaoblivia

@Raindrop: In 24 babies there are only four males.

Most noticeable symptom? Morning sickness and exhaustion.
Best moment of pregnancy so far? Seeing a heartbeat after my bleeding scare. We get to see it again tomorrow too. Yay.
Weirdest moment so far? I don't think I had a weird moment yet.
Do you have a guess boy/girl? I think it's a boy because my symptoms are pretty much the same as DS. We would like one of each but would also like another boy since no need to by anything new! Hehe. Kidding we would still probably buy a few new things anyways.

@oliviaoblivia: Oh that's like me. I'm the only girl in my generation out of my *counting* 6 male cousins and one brother.

Most noticeable symptom? Exhaustion. I feel like I did when I had mono only now I get to work full time and chase two toddlers. I've said "I'm so tired" at least 10 times a day; I'm so lame.

Best moment of pregnancy so far? Seeing my lil' one with a good heart beat and that it didn't have a little twinsie in there with it. Also, just learning I really was pregnant and the feelings of connection it gave me to my granddad, like I referred to in the post.

Weirdest moment so far? Trying to hide my insane belly pooch. I look far more pregnant this time and I only have one baby in there. I'm down to only a handful of clothes because most of my maternity clothes are stretchy and really make me look pregnant.

Do you have a guess boy/girl? Well, we always call the baby Rosebud, which certainly implies girl, but really I have no idea. We definitely would looove to have a girl, but I keep saying I think it's a boy, probably so I don't get my hopes up too much. Don't get me wrong; we'll be thrilled with this kiddo whatever it is, but I might feel bad about calling it Rosebud if it's a boy! Like @keepcalmcarrie: said, last time I really thought we were having girls, and I was clearly wrong, so I have no faith in my "mommy instinct" on this.

@namaste: oh no! I hope you feel better soon. Is there something that sounds good to eat?

I'm starting to get a little freaked out--I'm having some pretty bad cramps today. A couple of times they've stopped me in my tracks while I've been walking. This is okay, right? No bleeding at all, just cramping. I hope it's just baby growing!

  22. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

How far along? 8 weeks, 6 days
Most noticeable symptom? Noticeable to me--being tired. Noticeable to my husband--growing boobs. Noticeable to everybody (I fear)--my growing belly!
Best moment of pregnancy so far? 1st ultrasound at the RE and seeing the heartbeat, but also the 1st appt. w/the OB. People at the RE's office are cautious, but everyone at the OB's office told me congratulations, which was so nice to hear!
Weirdest moment so far? All of it! I feel like I'm going through a second puberty.
Do you have a guess boy/girl? I think of it as a girl, but if I were to bet, I'd say boy. The first borns for all three of my sisters have been boys!

  23. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@mfa_lady: I think it's ok since there's so much growing and stretching going on. I've been having a lot them. But I'm really into giving the doctor a call for peace of mind. Once I start worrying about something, I can't stop!

@keepcalmcarrie: i give you a ton of credit for sticking team green! my parents wanted us to be team green with my DD, but we didn't. my dad was kind of upset when he found out - he thought he could still manage to be surprised after the birth, but he was psyched when it sank in that she was a girl. they asked again if we are this time, but I have noooo patience! lol.

How far along? 8 weeks, 5 days

    Most noticeable symptom? vomiting. 24/7.

Best moment of pregnancy so far? haven't really gotten there yet..

Weirdest moment so far? that I have no connection yet to this baby. I was so attached to my DD from like, 4-5 weeks!

Do you have a guess boy/girl? I think boy.

  25. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@Mrs. Blue: Rosebud is a sweet name, and I don't think I've ever heard that one before! For now, I've been calling it B.B for baby B (my husband's last name starts with B).

@oliviaoblivia: ha! Are you still struggling with being convinced it's not a dino, or struggling with the fact that your tech was so bad?

  26. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Happygal: Mostly with myself for not speaking up. I really cherished the early ultrasound pic we had of DD and looked at it for months until we had more scans. This time I don't even want to look at it because it doesn't look like a baby and makes me worried that there's something wrong.

  27. keepcalmcarrie

    persimmon / 1096 posts

@mfa_lady: I've started having those as well. They almost feel like the cramps you get when you're running and really winded. I remember getting them with DS. Like @Happygal: said, I always suggest calling the doctor if you're worried for peace of mind, but I don't think you have anything to fear - your LO is just making room in there!

  28. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@oliviaoblivia: I'm sorry. That is a big disappointment. I always want to be the easy-going patient, so I would be in your shoes right now as well. When is your next scan?

  29. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@mfa_lady: I still have on going cramps. If you're worried, please call your doc. I'm sure it's normal though.

  30. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

@mfa_lady: I heard you can have cramps from your uterus expanding. But if they hurt very badly, there is no harm calling your doc like @Happygal: suggested. Good luck. I'll be thinking of you.

  31. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Happygal: Not until the anatomy scan in eight weeks. I keep asking DH to describe what he saw to tell me that the baby was normal looking (that sounds so awful.)

  32. keepcalmcarrie

    persimmon / 1096 posts

@sorrycharlie: We just do it because I really love that surprise at birth and I like dreaming of life with both. No one else could convince me otherwise, probably the same with you despite what your parents wanted - I am really rigid about what I (well, and my husband) want with everything related to LOs and pregnancy. It's no one else's call - oh, and I haven't felt super connected to this baby yet either. I mean, I am excited and feel love towards him/her, but I just don't think about it as much because there isn't time!

@oliviaoblivia: the second time bump is out of control. With DS, I was hardly showing until 5 months. This time, I thought I could get by with just my old winter maternity clothes - ha! I bought maternity shorts the other day because my regular ones are already way too tight, there is no way my normal summer clothes will cut it by the end of August. Awesome.

I'm so sorry you're feeling that way - I wish the tech had thought to share the screen with you in the first place! Don't beat yourself up about not speaking up. I really don't like ultrasounds, they make me so nervous and I never think to ask the right questions until after we've left. (We're not getting an NT scan for this reason). Would you consider paying OOP for an elective scan, just so you don't have to wait until 20 weeks for another image?

  33. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@keepcalmcarrie: Unfortunately that's not really an option here. I wanted one last time but they don't do elective scans until 17 weeks because of some bylaw. I guess women were doing early anatomy scans and there were problems with gender selected abortions. (!!!!) I'm just going to have to work on my patience.

  34. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@oliviaoblivia: I know this won't help, but I think your baby looked perfect! it just looked like she caught a blurry shot - no idea why she didn't decide to try to get a clear one printed for you (obnoxious lady) but baby looks awesome!

  35. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@sorrycharlie: Thanks for saying that. I know I'm totally being neurotic. I just wish I had actually seen it looking ok, ya know.

@oliviaoblivia: Bummer. It's just a blurry photo, I'm sure your little baby is happy, healthy, and human. I hope you find this funny and not offensive, but this has always made me laugh (and it very true of like 12 week old babes)...

@oliviaoblivia: I think "ignorance is bliss" rings extra true when it comes to pregnancy! I know so many things that could go wrong, and have had to actively work to keep myself from obsessing.

  40. keepcalmcarrie

@oliviaoblivia: Hahaha, that is so cute! DS punched so much in his 11 week ultrasound last time, we nicknamed him Scrapper. That still fits for him, actually.
