    @Gigi2: with my first I didn't show til 17 weeks! I'm 9.5 weeks and def showing (with my second).

    @Radish: awesome!! Ultrasound?

  2. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @Radish: woohoo due date twin! actually my due date got moved to earlier by a few days since my last appointment but they told me not to worry about it since the baby growth can vary about a week, so I'm not going to change it till they give me an official due date at the 12 weeks NT scan.

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @Raindrop: Yeah, my doctor will only change it off of the LMP dues date if it is over a week difference. She actually said it looked developmentally early 9 weeks, but the actual measurement gave us 8 weeks 4 days so we will go by that due date.

    @Gigi2: I wouldn't say I'm really showing (11 weeks), but my pants are definitely tighter in the waist. I'm also feeling pretty bloated in the evening.
    I'm already chubby in the middle so it just looks like I'm putting on more weight. Although when I put on maternity jeans, the full panel ones sort of smooth out my belly into more of a "bump" shape. But I'm sure no one besides me can really tell

    @mfa_lady: glad shopping went well!

    @Radish: yay for a good appointment!

    @charmed: @sorrycharlie: @snowdrop: thanks ladies! Have to keep reminding myself that there's no real "normal" for all of this! Will just have to wait and see when the bump shows up

    @radish: awesome!!

    @Gigi2: I didn't show noticeably (i.e. to people at work) until 19 or 20 weeks. But I started noticing a difference at 12 weeks.

    grapefruit / 4006 posts

    @Radish: aww. great ultrasound pic!

  11. SleepyMonkey

    grapefruit / 4006 posts

    @charmed: With my first I didn't feel movement until 21-22 weeks. It was pretty late but I had an anterior placenta. It was actually hiccups that I felt first. It felt like really bad gas bubbles, but they were so rhythmic and lasted for several minutes!

  12. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @SleepyMonkey: Aww hiccups! I totally forgot about hiccups. My LO had hiccups like crazy... every other day at least near the end. It was such a weird feeling.

  13. SleepyMonkey

    grapefruit / 4006 posts

    @Raindrop: Yes! It was really weird and it was every day, multiple times a day sometimes. She still gets them pretty frequently and she's 20 months now.

  14. namaste

    persimmon / 1313 posts

    @Radish: Aww how cute!

    Today's appointment went well. I heard the heart beat (153). Got blood work drawn. My next appointment is July 23!

  15. Raindrop

    Here at the hospital taking my 3 hour glucose test.

    Also was kind of bleeding a lot this morning with red blood and clots and so I also have an appointment with my OB again today. I am pretty sure I am my OBs problem child. :). Trying to stay positive.

    How is everyone today?

  16. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @namaste: yay good appointment!

  17. namaste

    persimmon / 1313 posts

    @Raindrop: Ugh, if I lived nearby, I'd be showering you in stuff! 3 hour glucose test? Boo. Hope everything is fine! Sending you sunny love from Florida

  18. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @namaste: aww thanks dear! 3 hours is a bit annoying because we have to draw blood 4 times. I don't like needles.

  19. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @Raindrop: I hope the bleeding lets up and everything checks out okay. on your glucose test.

    @namaste: My next appointment is also July 23rd. I'm pretty much a month behind you.

    @Raindrop: Thinking of you, girl! Let us know how it goes today.

  21. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @mfa_lady: @Radish: thanks ladies.

    Just got my second draw and the guy poked me 3 times. Uncool!

  22. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    So there are 3 other women taking the test. We are sitting the farthest we can from each other. :). I chatted with one for 5 minutes but it felt like she was not interested so I stop. Being an adult is so awkward.

  23. oliviaoblivia

    @Raindrop: Hope you pass your test and the bleeding lets up.

  24. MapleMoose

    @Raindrop: Eek! Sending happy thoughts your way. And LOL at your "being an adult is so awkward" story.

  25. namaste

    persimmon / 1313 posts

    @Raindrop: Ugh adulthood. Hope your test is over soon my dear! I'm still annoyed from the three vials they took from me this morning so you're a trooper!

    @Radish: That's pretty neat! It makes it easy for me to remember when you're going in.

    I'just found out there's a Motherhood Maternity outlet nearby. Outlets can be pretty messy, especially in the summertime but I'm going to brave it anyway since it's close by to Old Navy/Gap.

    Had a great appointment yesterday and B2 (baby #2) was jumping all around. Dr kept trying to determine the heartbeat but B2 wouldn't sit still! Last time with B1 we saw two yolk sacs but only one in there with B2. Have started announcing to people so that's exciting!

    Updating with my new appt.

    @oliviaoblivia: @MapleMoose: thanks!

    As you can see super bored waiting. :). The First Lady totally jinxed me. I have been told my veins are hard to find and she said oh they aren't that bad. So my third draw the lab person totally gave up after 2 failed pokes and the First Lady had to save the day. Lucky she able to get the first try and told me to fine her for my last draw. But to be honest the needles are pretty small so they are uncomfortable but bearable.

    Though now I have 7 holes on my arms and hands for 3 draws.

    @namaste: glad the appointment went well!

    @Raindrop: hope they quit poking you with needles soon, and that the bleeding resolves itself. And I agree, being an adult is awkward

    @MapleMoose: yay for a great appointment and an active baby!

    @namaste: that's good news! I can't wait to hear the heartbeat. I've seen it, but haven't heard it.

    @charmed: @Happygal: done with taking blood and my appointment. Baby is doing great. My OB is awesome. I asked if I should contact her if I bleed more. She yes! It is always nice to see me and if I am concerned then she wants to check with the baby. So sweet.

    Hi guys. Sorry I have been Mia but we are in SC on vacation and I am barely online these days. Glad that nothing bad has happened all week and that so many of you have had good appointments.

    We told some friends who are down here with us and my inlaws who are here as well. It has been amazing livings "out of the closet" for a week before heading home and attempting to hide it again. Which will be nearly impossible since i easily look 20 weeks pregnant. Strangers have asked me point blank if I know what I am having yet...to which I have answered that I am only NINE weeks (almost ten now, I guess, but GEEZ). Feeling really thankful that I bought a few maternity staples (shorts especially) before we left.

    @Mrs. Confetti: I'm so glad you've had a nice vacation! And no matter how big that belly is--I'm sure you look awesome!

    Today's a big day in our family--my husband is going to find out for sure about an offer for a new job and we have our NT scan! I'm 12+5 today, and am hoping I'll really feel SO MUCH RELIEF when I see that little babe on the screen. I'm a nervous wreck, but trying hard to relax. Only 7 more hours!!!!

    In other news, assuming all goes well today, we'll start telling more people (and hopefully take some cute pictures of our dogs to eventually announce more publicly) and will tell my husband's entire family when we see them on vacation early next week.

    persimmon / 1177 posts

    @Mrs. Confetti: hope you enjoy the rest of the vacation! And isn't it great to not have to keep the pregnancy a secret (even if it's only with a few people)?

    @mfa_lady: good luck to you and your husband today!
    And I think using your dogs to announce is sweet

    We bought a tiny pair of baby shoes the other day, and I'm thinking of taking a picture of the baby shoes with some of our shoes to announce publicly. Not the most original idea, but I think it's cute.

    @mfa_lady: fx for only good news all around today!! Keep us posted

  40. mfa_lady

    @charmed: Thank you!! And I love announcements with baby shoes. We're planning on using the dogs because it will make people do a double-take--I post WAY TOO MANY pictures of them already, so at first glance it'll be nothing new!

    @Mrs. Confetti: Thank you so much! I hope I can keep deep-breathing until this afternoon....
