We told my family last weekend. I'm so happy we got to tell our parents first--they have been incredibly supportive of what we've gone through. And it was fun to girl talk with my three sisters who all have babies of their own. Some of my nieces and nephews wanted to know exactly who is in my belly and how did the baby get there. My MIL was intense and is making plans to move here.

I told three close friends last night when we were out. So much fun. It's made me feel even more excited about this pregnancy.

@charmed: My next appointments are July 28 and August 11 (anatomy scan). Thanks for making the list!

@sorrycharlie: I have one in mind for another girl but we are hopelessly opposed on most names. We've agreed to not have the discussion until we can eliminate half the battle. Do you have any ideas?

@oliviaoblivia: we haven't even considered girls names yet - I think we are both pretty convinced it's a boy! The only ones we somewhat agree on are Dylan and Lucas. I lean more toward Lucas! Michael would be middle regardless.

I spent the entire time we were TTC trying to come up with names because of how much trouble I had with finding one I was happy with for LO, but now I think about them and almost hyperventilate. Naming a kid is so stressful.

I don't know when I will have my anatomy scan or even what state I will be in at that point. Luckily, we won't do anything baby related until we are fully moved and settled, so there is no rush to finding out the sex yet.

Wow, I can't believe it's nearly time for anatomy scans to start!! It's crazy how time is flying by so quickly. I'm loving all the ultrasound pictures still pouring in! My dr doesn't do NT scans, just blood tests for the screening.
I'm still popping zofran like it's candy, but other than that not doing too bad. I think I'm down like 3lbs. so my pants are buttoning comfortably again. Work has been crazy busy and the little guy has been sick twice in the past 2 weeks so haven't been on much.

@Mrs. Blue: Same situation over here but opposite genders--we have multiple full names for boys that we adore, but we cannot agree on a single girl name. So, clearly, it's going to be a girl.

@sorrycharlie: aw, that pic is so CUTE! her face is amazing. how did your nt scan go today? we have a name for a girl that i really like, but for boys...its slim pickins. we have like one or two that we're kind of ok with, but nothing that we love.

@radish: we didn't "officially" announce our first LO on fb/social media - i just posted a new profile pic of my dh and i, and i happened to be preg in it and people started congratulating us. i don't know what we'll do this time either. i'm a little shy about this kind of stuff and i hate being the center of attention, so i probably won't "officially" announce this one either.

nt scan went well today. baby was moving around, but we got 3-4 good measurements and all within normal range. now just to wait on the finger prick results, and then i'm going to spill the beans at work. i've already told my direct boss, whom i love and consider a close friend, and two co-workers that i am close with too. the hospital told me that i should schedule an early anatomy scan at 16 weeks and a regular one at 20 weeks. does anyone else have both? i didn't have the early scan with my first pregnancy. i mean, of course i'll do it because i want to see baby again, but it just seems weird to me.

my due date was changed to Jan 21 too, about 6 days ahead. the doctor (not my regular ob/gyn) seemed very confused by and skeptical of my explanation of how i knew i ovulated. she was like, well you MUST have ovulated a week earlier and i offered to show her my charts on fertility friend and everything. she finally accepted my explanation, but my sense is that it is pretty unusual for women to take their temp and use opks.

NT scan went well! baby is measuring 4-5 days big at least, that's what the thing said. I'm 11w6d (or I guess 12w today, is what the screen said..) but when she measured it said, "GA: 12w4d". sheesh.

so fun to see it waving and kicking and stretching out. I'll upload a picture in a few, gotta edit my name out!

Had my NT scan today as well and all looks well
Since they took my blood before the appointment I got immediate results for the risk factors and they were really good as well (so basically no risk). He also guessed on gender and we shall see at the 16 and/or 20w u/s whether he was right.
Little bean measured really big but they didn't adjust my due date again. B was (and still is) really high up in the percentiles too so nothing that had us worried. And the later DD gives lil bean more time to come without an induction.

@SleepyMonkey: yes they do a "normal" u/s at 16w to track growth etc. and the anatomy scan at 20w.

@Radish: hmmm, he was really unsure so I think I'll wait until my 16w scan to believe it and share then.

Oh I forget to mention that I'm starting to feel baby move. It always makes me giggle cause it feels like being tickled from the inside.

@Pumuckl: It's cool, I was just trying to live vicariously through you since I likely won't have another ultrasound until my anatomy scan.
