@Pumuckl: it makes me so happy to hear that you feel yours moving cuz I swear I do too sometimes and at only 12 weeks, I didn't think it was possible. Totally weird, but so great.

@Mrs. Confetti: I'm pretty sure I've felt mine move too. It's just once in a while and it's a tiny little fluttery tickle or tapping. So strange but awesome!

  3. namaste

@sorrycharlie: Great pics! So glad your appointment went well

@cheesehead: Ugh I know how terrible it feels to be popping Zofran like candy. Feel better soon!

@Pumuckl: Feeling small movements is always so exciting.

Ugh, my fat cat jumped on my stomach right on my uterus last night and it hurt for an hour or so afterwards. According to the Internet MDs, everything is fine if there isn't still cramping and there isn't. Just making sure no one else has a hyperactive cat at 11:00 at night who likes to jump on their uterus.

@Radish: Not so worried but DH panicked for a bit lol it was just obnoxiously painful.

@Cupcake: My fat cat probably weighs the same and is way less appreciative

  8. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@namaste: no worries - my 21 lb toddler used my uterus (stepped right above my pelvic bone!) as a launch point to jump across the couch!

@Radish: I can't easily update from my phone but my next appt is July 31 boring - just heartbeat and blood pressure!

  9. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @sorrycharlie: I updated it .

It is so weird being at the tail end of the pack - I feel like I have forever until I get an anatomy scan (most likely September).

  10. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@Radish: my anatomy scan is last week of August! I was sep 27 with Olivia so I was at the end too. Technically all my appts are based around 1-25, I'm just being induced the 18-19

  11. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@Radish: we can have september anatomy scan together

  12. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@Snowdrop: High-five! Although, I'm going to see how early they will do it and try to schedule it for then and see if I can skip a 16-17 week visit. I have an issue with how many more visits I can do before they start charging me for the delivery (which will not be occurring in this state).

Successful NT scan this morning. Baby was wiggly, eating its hands, and had a steady thumping little heart (167). So so so so so so relieved.

@Mrs. Confetti: Yay for a great scan!!

I had my first "when are you due?" from a stranger (15w4d.) Answering with January and seeing their eyes bug out was really fun. Yeah jerk I have a big belly shut up.

    @Mrs. Confetti: hooray! Good news.

@oliviaoblivia: ha! That's funny. I would never, ever ask a stranger when they're due!

We're up to our eyeballs in boxes and have started slowly moving things over to our new place. Movers come on Wednesday for all the big stuff. I'm excited to move into our new space, but the moving is stressful!

I go on Thursday and hope to hear the heartbeat. After hearing about people having difficulty finding the heartbeat, I moved the appointment to a time when my husband will come--I would hate to be alone if that happened!

  20. Mrs. Confetti

    blogger / pomegranate / 3491 posts

@oliviaoblivia: haha people are ridiculous! Glad you could laugh it off.

@Happygal: good luck with your move!!!

Thanks all yay for a good scan.

@Happygal: We're moving right now too! Actually we're packing, then going on vacation (bad timing!!), then the movers show up 15 hours after we get back. I'm kinda freaking out about it. Hope your move is smooth!

@Radish: mine won't be done till week 20 and there is no flexibility. How does that work with paying for delivery? Your system is so complicated!

Had progesterone results back today after I was told to come off them for 1 night to measure my baseline levels and they had halfed from a fortnight ago. Guess that means I am not ready to stop them which is fine however I can't help obsessing that it means something much worse. I'm just terrified of a mmc. 1 more week till first scan....

@Happygal: Good luck with your move! It is soo stressful, we swore we won't ever move again!

@Mrs. Confetti: Congrats on the successful scan

  23. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@Snowdrop: I don't even know. This is the same provider that I had last time and I didn't pay anything but one co-pay before delivery that time, but I was on a different insurance. My insurance will change soon anyways, I just don't want to deal with it all. I doubt I can get it moved up, but I'm going ask at least since I've read 18-20 weeks online. I don't want to end up paying a bunch of money I shouldn't since I'm already paying a lot for my insurance. I hope that this next week goes quickly for you and you get a peek at a beautiful healthy baby!

    @Mrs. Confetti: What a cutie!

@oliviaoblivia: Ugh I just assume other people think I am fat/bloated lol I wish people thought of their reactions to things, especially to strangers more often. Seems kinda rude Don't worry about it and happy moving!!

@Happygal: Congrats on moving! DH has come with me on my appointments. On the last one she didn't find the heartbeat right away but that was because my stomach was growling so loudly that she started on the right side when the baby is on the left. I'm sure everything will be fine!

@Snowdrop: I'm sure everything is ok! The days will go by quickly and then it'll be scan time so you can get some reassurance.

I went to my friend's wedding last night and had an amazing time. I longingly stared at the bar a few times but it was great to dance with her and some new friends. I also got to tell her about the baby at the end of the night since she'll be in Hawaii for a while and by the time she gets back and gets settled, I'll be very pregnant. Hope you ladies are doing well!

Hey everyone! Catching up. All the pictures of everyone's babies are sooo cute! Love them.

Got back from the vacation / destination wedding. The wedding was great but turns out the bride and groom were kind of unhappy how things went. I really hope they over come those thoughts some day.

All and all I think I don't like Hawaii but I have been chit chatting with my co-workers it's probably just the time of year and being on the big island might have been the problem. They think I should try going to a more popular island next time. We probably won't go back for years though. It was still a good experience.

@oliviaoblivia: @Happygal: We just moved this weekend. It's a little stressful, but I know we'll be soo much happier when we're unpacked and settle in. To be fair, it may be several months before we aren't living out of boxes, though! Good luck with your respective moves!

@Raindrop: Oh boo! I think all people stress about their wedding and things that went wrong but no one even notices! It rained on my bff's first ceremony while we were in Hawaii. I really liked Kauai b/c it's smaller and underdeveloped. I don't think I would have enjoyed Maui or Oahu quite as much since they're so busy, especially now. Hopefully you guys can visit again and find an island you enjoy!

@Happygal: @oliviaoblivia: good luck with moving!

@namaste: glad you had a good time at your friend's wedding

@Raindrop: Sorry the trip wasn't amazing! What was bad about the big island? I've never been, so I always assumed all the islands are gorgeous and make good vacation spots.

Haven't posted in a while, glad everyone is doing well.

@Happygal: @oliviaoblivia: @Mrs. Blue: Good luck with the moving!

@namaste: @oliviaoblivia: I'm 15 weeks and I feel like I'm in the in-between stage where I look bigger but not enough to say that it's definitely a baby bump and not just extra fat. I really don't like this stage, I wish I could fast forward to 20 weeks when I won't have to be self-conscious about looking fatter lol. It doesn't help that DH's cousin is also pregnant and is not showing at all yet.

  30. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

@namaste: @charmed: Thanks for the comments girls. I didn't have a terrible terrible time it was just uncomfortable enough to not want to go back for a long time. I'm also kind of a home body and this was the first vacation we have taken in 4 years outside of our state (we go to so-cali about twice a year to visit family).

  31. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@pmrlady: Yes to the 15 weeks stage. I feel you! No matter what I wear, I just feel like people are trying to figure out what the deal is. When we were on vacation with my in-laws, my just-married, never-pregnant SIL said "Aww! You're in the chubby stage!" Um, no. You're not allowed to say that to me, even if it is true. Bring on 20 weeks!

  32. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@pmrlady: well everyone goes through that stage so when you have a cute bump DHs cousin will just look fat

  33. charmed

    persimmon / 1177 posts

@pmrlady: ugh, same here. When I wear normal clothes it's obvious my stomach is bigger, but not in a cute baby bump sort of way. And when I wear maternity clothes it looks like a beer belly

@mfa_lady: what! You can't say "chubby stage" to anyone woman, pregnant or not!! I would have been livid.

I'm officially in the second trimester, and I've felt pretty great the past week. Except for my pants not buttoning, I don't feel pregnant at all (which is worrisome in its own way, but I'm happy to have more energy and a slightly better appetite). Can't wait for this little one to start moving around so I feel like somethings actually happening!

  34. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@charmed: Ugh, thank you for saying that! I have been fuming over it and am thankful for the reassurance.

This feels like kind of a weird stage to me...my belly isn't round and pregnant looking, though it is large and chubby and different than usual, and I'm finally feeling a bit better, and I can't feel the baby move yet. It's kind of like I wish I could get a weekly assurance that all is okay and I am, in fact, pregnant. Like others have said, I'm ready to feel kicks and to really look pregnant!

  35. Happygal

I've asked this somewhere else, but wanted to hear from the January women--what do you/your doctor consider the start of the 2nd trimester?

Most of my friends say 12 weeks, my app says 13, and I've even seen 14 weeks. It doesn't really matter, but I'm curious.

I got a call yesterday to see if I can interview for a teaching position today. It's just the type of thing I've been hoping for b/c it's split between 2 schools and would allow me to continue consulting work. I'm already getting ahead of myself and looking for childcare, which is both competitive and pricey in our town.

@OliviaBolivia: good luck! Where will you be going on vacation?

  36. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@Raindrop: that's too bad! I've always thought of Hawaii as the ultimate land of paradise. I like to travel, but I am a homebody as well! I've found that about 5 nights is just the right amount of time away for me.

  37. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@Happygal: I considered weeks 1 - 13 weeks the first tri. Mostly because I'm anal and didn't want to get ahead of myself/jinx anything. So, apparently I'm a freak. Hahahaha. I counted the beginning of the second tri on the first day of week 14. No idea what that means for the rest of the trimesters....one day at a time, right?

Congratulations on the potential job! I hope you get it--it sounds like it would be a great fit. Plus, I'd like to have a pregnant-at-the-new-job buddy.

    How's the move coming?

  38. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@Happygal: i count second tri as beginning on 13 weeks 0 days.

  39. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@Happygal: Going to hang with Winnibee in New Mexico.

  40. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@Happygal: if you divide 40 weeks by 3, it gives you about 13.33333, lol. so I consider finishing week 12 entering the second tri.
