Okay, just like everything else, baby movements have now started freaking me out. For a few days, I was feeling them every morning and every evening, and now, I haven't felt much of anything for a couple of days. Tell me this is normal and I should stop worrying! (I'm 19+2.)

@mfa_lady: Don't freak. It is normal. I never felt my 1st LO consistently at all. I couldn't even do kick counts in the 3rd trimester and she is perfectly healthy.

@Radish: I could kiss you right now. Thanks for the reassurance, friend!

Thanks guys!
@mfa_lady: and yes totally don't freak out! Most people can't feel anything at this point, and even at the end of my pregnancy last time I couldn't consistently feel X number of kicks in whatever amount of time.

@MrsTiger: You're awesome! Thanks for reassuring me. Also--SO THRILLED that you're adding a boy to your family! I know I said congrats already, but I'm so excited to see a boy on this thread!

@mfa_lady: Aw thanks, me too! We totally were expecting another girl so were both a hot mess at the ultrasound when she showed us a very obvious little boy part!

@MrsTiger: Aw, that's the best!!! I'm totally expecting a girl, too, so I'm really glad you took the boy pressure off for our list!

@MrsTiger: Yay, congratulations!!! I'm biased, but little boys are amazing So excited for the first "man cub" on our board

@MrsTiger: hooray for the first boy!
@mfa_lady: same for me with movement: one day it seems like baby is moving constantly, then I'll go a couple days without feeling much, if anything at all.

@MrsTiger: Omg yay!!! Congratulations! Yay for the first boy.
@mfa_lady: It definitely comes and goes. From Friday until Sunday, I didn't feel as much movement but last night, there were plenty of baby wiggles. I think it'll be more consistent as the weeks progress. No worries!

@MrsTiger: congratulations! So exciting to have the first boy of our club
@mfa_lady: same with me. Some days I feel movement throughout the day but over this past weekend I barely felt anything. I think the best time to feel something for me is at night when I'm laying in bed and not moving.

@MrsTiger: Aw congrats!!! Little boys truly are wonderful - so happy for you!

How far along? 16w 4d
Total weight gain: like a million? Almost 10 I think.
Maternity clothes? You betcha - all bottoms, and about half my tops
Stretch marks? Nothing to report yet, thankfully
Sleep: Does not exist. I am getting maaaaybe 5 hours a night, with my days beginning around 3:30-4:30 a.m. That on top of chasing my toddler = exhausted always.
Best moment this week: Prenatal massage on Sunday. Super painful, but so relaxing to have time for myself.
Miss Anything? Sleep. Energy. Feeling comfortable in my left butt cheek.
Food cravings: Junk. Still junk. Ate half a Papa Johns large pizza last night. Gross.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Drinking too much water at once. So weird...
Symptoms: Fatigue, sciatica, insane bouts of sneezing - I think technically called rhinitis.
Looking forward to: Babymoon/30th birthday trip in September to Maine/NH.
Next appointment(s): Wednesday morning (16 week) - which O am slightly paranoid about. The lack of consistent movement (which is normal, duh) has me feeling paranoid.

@mfa_lady: same thing here, sometimes I feel her all day long at other times nothing at all. (Is it ok to still find it really weird to write "she"?)
@MrsTiger: yay, the first january boy! Congrats I love being a boy mom.
@Radish: oh by the way, the first guess of the doc at the NT scan had been girl as well.

@Mrs. Confetti: Maine seems so gorgeous! Now I'm excited about your babymoon.

@Pumuckl: Thanks, girl! And yes, it's totally okay to feel weird about saying "she." You'll be used to it in no time, though!

@Mrs. Confetti: I have the left butt cheek problem too! must be a big nerve there or something? I remember it from LO#1 as well.
@mfa_lady: like every other person said - not consistent for me at this stage even though I've been feeling something since 13-14 weeks. I can't wait for the stage when DH can feel it! took him forever last time (probably 28 weeks or something).
grapefruit / 4006 posts
@mfa_lady: I feel absolutely nothing right now! I have an anterior placenta though, same as with #1, and I didn't feel anything until 20-21 weeks with her. so I probably have a few weeks still before I feel anything! It totally makes me paranoid, esp right before an appointment.

@bhbee: it is sciatica. And also hell. Sorry you have it too.

@pmrlady: Oh amazing pic.
Isn't it cool how our little gummy bears, T-Rexes and astronauts have developed into little humans already?

PSA: I'm wearing these pants right now (http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1014426&vid=1&pid=460890002) and they're the most comfortable things ever. They feel like PJs but look like work pants. Get some!

@MrsTiger: Congrats!!! I love having boys!
@mfa_lady: Like everyone else said about the movement, totally normal, especially this early. I could never rely on movement even in the third trimester, though and both kids are a-okay! Also, my Gap maternity dress pants are my favorites ever. I wore them all the time even at like a year PP. They were just so comfy!

@SleepyMonkey: Right?! I'm only worried the butt will get saggy throughout the day. Does that happen with yours? Today's the first time I've worn them.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Mrs. Blue: Thanks, lady! I felt a ton of movement last night, so I just have to get my mind wrapped around not feeling it regularly. That way, I'll be able to enjoy when I DO feel it!
grapefruit / 4006 posts
@mfa_lady: they do stretch out a bit after a day of wear. Like the knees, if you are sitting a lot, will get that knee bubble and the butt and thigh area stretches too, but its really not too bad. I haven't even checked how to wash them. I imagine they'll go back to normal after that.
