    @namaste: Yay for your crib! I remember being so excited for ours last time. This poor child gets a chewed on, beat up crib.

    @Radish: how's A doing in her big girl bed?

  5. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @oliviaoblivia: Very well! Some nights bedtime takes longer than it should and she has started testing her limits over the last few nights, but she hated her crib so it's nice for her to actually want to sleep in her bed.

    My boobs have started being sore again. Does anyone know if they can start growing again in the 3rd tri? I'm kind off hoping not, the went up nearly 3 sizes already in the 1st tri!!!

    @namaste: A new crib is exciting! Are you almost finished with the nursery?

    @mfa_lady: Eeek!

    @Snowdrop: Not sure about continued growth but I don't rule anything out because pregnancy seems to be so different for each person. Mine are leaking what I think is colostrum.

    Good news here, I passed my 3-hour test! My sugar levels were actually really low but that doesn't surprise me because I'm hypoglycemic normally. Guess the 1-hour was a fluke. Think I'll celebrate with a little ice cream for dessert tonight.

    @Snowdrop: Mine have had moments of soreness recently. I don't pay attention to bra size - I just shove them into what I own.

    @MapleMoose: hooray!

    @MapleMoose: Yay! Congrats on passing your GD test. Hehe. Definitely have some ice cream!

    @Snowdrop: I think mine are getting bigger too! But... I wear coobie bras and they have a large range for what you can wear. They only have 2 sizes. I was already wearing the bigger size so the girls are still fitting nicely. Haha.

    @MapleMoose: yay for passing!! I haven't heard back if I failed the one-hour yesterday, but I'm assuming they would have called me today if I had?

  13. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

    @Raindrop: Those bras sound amazing!
    @MapleMoose: mine are leaky too but havent hurt since 16 weeks.

  14. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @Snowdrop: They are great! I actually got them off the recommendations from HelloBee I wear them probably 90% of the time now. I still have a few "other" bras.

  15. MapleMoose

    grapefruit / 4213 posts

    @sorrycharlie: Hmm... My 1-hour was a fingerstick so they were able to tell me right then that I failed. Did you have a fingerstick or get blood drawn?

  16. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

    @MapleMoose: full arm draw - boo

  17. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @MapleMoose: You had a finger prick!? That's weird... finger pricking is sooo skewed. Depending which finger I prick for my GD I can get like a 10-20 point difference.

  18. MapleMoose

    grapefruit / 4213 posts

    @Raindrop: Probably explains why I failed the 1-hour yet had really low levels for the 3-hour. Go figure!

  19. HappyBaker

    nectarine / 2242 posts

    Just got out of my GD blood draw and appointment, I also had to get the Rhogam butt shot, it hurt way more than I remembered! I'm pretty much binge eating sugary sweets until I get my results, just in case

    I also asked my OB about travel for Thanksgiving and he said we shouldn't go, which I was really surprised about. I'll only be 34 weeks at the time but he said he is firm about not being more than 2 hours away from that point on, just in case. Which is actually fine with me because I was not looking forward to a 7 hour car trip!

  20. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

    @HappyBaker: Oooh, interesting! Yeah, my work has been asking me about how long I can travel. We talked about it in our group prenatal class and the midwife said 36 weeks is the cutoff, but I don't really think I'd feel comfortable traveling (especially for work) quite that late!

  21. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

    WOHMs--have you worked out childcare yet? I am hoping to get baby girl into a highly recommended in-home place (who I've already talked to), but am reaching out to other centers nearby just in case. I hope I'm not too late!

  22. HappyBaker

    nectarine / 2242 posts

    @mfa_lady: Yea I am SO glad he was firm so that I can just say to DH and the in-laws that it's not ME saying it! Also the point my doc made was that supposedly some insurances won't cover your birth in a hospital out of state, since you clearly know you are having a baby at some point and chose to travel anyway.

  23. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @HappyBaker: Yeah, my doctor was like that for my last pregnancy as well (although I was more like 36 weeks at thanksgiving and it would have only been 2-3 hours away). I loved the excuse to not have to travel and make people come to us, but I also knew that if I did go they have hospitals there that I could get medical attention if necessary.

  24. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

    @HappyBaker: That is so true. We will probably be driving two hours to my in-laws for Christmas (I'm due 1/3) and I've already told my MIL that I'm leaving the SECOND I get a funny feeling. I'm not having this baby in their town! Haha.

  25. MapleMoose

    grapefruit / 4213 posts

    @HappyBaker: I'm not judging. .. binge away! Luckily (or unluckily, depending how I feel then) my holiday travel is all within an hour driving. I would not be able to handle a 7 hour roadtrip, yikes!

  26. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

    passed glucose screen! woohoo! next appt in two weeks, I'll get the Rhogam shot then. They said they didn't want to give it to me yet this week. Ugh. Drawing out my torture!

    @HappyBaker: Wow that's interesting! I asked my OB at the last appointment and she gave me a 37 weeks cut off. I'll be travelling to ATL on the 22nd at 34 weeks, which is an 8 hour drive.

    @MapleMoose: Woohoo! Congrats! Hahaha hardly. :x I just needed to get the larger items delivered since holiday delivery starts to get flaky.

    @Radish: I'm sure she won't mind her crib at all.

    I've been having BH contractions for the past couple of days on and off. Last night they were going on for four hours. DH is away this weekend so I'm looking forward to having space to clean our condo. It's a mess lol I'm usually too tired to do anything after finishing projects and meetings during the day.

    @MapleMoose: @sorrycharlie: congrats on passing your glucose test!
    I had mine last Tuesday and I haven't heard anything yet, so I'm hoping that means I passed! (my office only calls if you fail)

    @HappyBaker: I'm planning on taking a 7 hour trip for my sister's wedding at 32 weeks. I haven't said anything to my Dr. about it, because I'm not going to miss her wedding unless I'm in labor But I'm definitely using the "no travel" excuse to get out of Thanksgiving and Christmas with the in laws

    Had my first baby shower yesterday- so much fun! We got sooo many clothes, I need to go through them all and probably take back half.
    Finally got my old office completely empty and clean, and got the baby's dresser put together last night. Can't wait to get everything else set up.

    pear / 1846 posts

    Finally off the progesterone as my levels are now holding up on their own, I'm officially doing it myself

    @charmed: love looking at the little clothes we have and imagining them all filled out with baby!

  31. pmrlady

    apricot / 316 posts

    @charmed: glad your baby shower was fun. I really hope I don't get any clothes at my baby shower because we already got so many hand me down clothes.

    @mfa_lady: I am trying to figure out childcare as well, we might do a nanny share with another couple in our building. It's so stressful trying to figure it out.

    I had an ultrasound today to check the growth. Baby is measuring at 3 lbs 13oz! Unfortunately both of her hands were covering her face so we couldn't get a 3D picture =(
    I guess we'll just have to wait another 2.5 months to see what she looks like hehe

    Had my second anatomy scan today with my new doctor. Her machine was much better and the scan much more thorough. I had to lay on my side because i started feeling really bad part way into it. Baby is very much breech at the moment, which I had a feeling of because of some strong kicks to my butt last night. Took glucose test so hopefully I pass.

  33. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @Radish: Oh that's terrible! I hope the baby turns. Did the doctors recommend anything you can do? Or is it completely out of your hands?

  34. turquoisemama

    persimmon / 1481 posts

    @Radish: I'm so scared of my girl being breech. I always feel her kicking either side and down in my butt. Last night she was having a great time giving my left ovary some love...

  35. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @Raindrop: I don't think they are concerned until 34 weeks or so. I have a while, just makes me anxious to think about the possibility of her staying that way. Even if she was head down she could always flip back to breech, so I keep telling myself it means nothing. The good news is she is right on track growth wise so she should still have time/room.

    @MrsHansen82: I usually feel her on my left side. She is curled up facing my left so I feel her arms high and her feet low or center.

  36. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

    @Radish: this baby was breech at 28 weeks and had turned in time for my 30 week appointment. Good luck on your GD!

  37. Raindrop

    grapefruit / 4731 posts

    @Radish: That is very true! One of my co-workers her 3rd baby was breech up to the day the schedule the c-section and when they did the U/S before the c-section she was head down again and she went into labor 3 days later and was able to do a vagina birth. So I think it's never too late for the baby to turn... hopefully turn the good way.

    @oliviaoblivia: Yay, glad she flipped for you! And dang 30 weeks already!

    @Radish: 31 Thursday!
    My mom said my sister was breech until 39 weeks, flipped, and then was born the next morning. You've got time.

    @Snowdrop: Go girl!!!

    @oliviaoblivia: I freaked out last weekend when I hit 30 weeks. Something about ten weeks left feels CRAZY!
