Okay I'm hopelessly behind again, but I have a few quick updates to share. I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and we got a Strep culture and a quick ultrasound to make sure she's head down-she is. She also said I had a lot of fluid which is probably why I look so huge! We also unpacked everything from the shower on Saturday and almost have the nursery complete. I'll post some pics when it's totslly finished. Do we have s nursery thread?? Hope all is well with everyone! I can't wait to start seeing some birth stories and pictures!! I can't believe we are almost there!!

Who has their hospital bag packed? (not this girl
) DH came home from lunch and asked if I had it packed - apparently he's worried I'm going to go into labor before it's packed and then he'll have to come back home later and find all the things I want 
So I guess that's what I'm doing tonight...

Joining th unprepared club. Our crib is in a box. Our nursery still looks like a guest bedroom/storage room. And I haven't even thought of a hospital bag yet. I still have 5 weeks though, so that's plenty of time, right?!

Short version: Baby girl is doing great!!!!!!!!
Long version: Size is definitely NOT a problem, ha! Their estimate is 6lb15oz already with plenty of fluid too. But, my belly looks small because she's super stretched out in there! They couldn't even get a picture of her face AT ALL because her head is so far down in my pelvis....and her little booty is still crushing my lungs/ribs, so yeah. She's taking up all the room she gets in there.
Haha! SUCH a relief to know that all is okay. And even though I know that little babes usually end up a little smaller than expected, it still looks like we have a good sized gal on our hands here.

@charmed: I don't have my bag actually packed yet but I made a list of all the items for my hospital bag, LO's overnight bag, the dog's overnight items, and things for our newborn (going home outfit, warm blanket for car, carseat, etc). This list is on an app shared with DH so he can access it if needed. He's been asking when I'm going to pack lately. But I was induced 10 days past my due date last time so I guess I'm just not in a rush because I'm in denial that I'll go early this time. Even though my doctor told me I could go anytime at my appointment last week haha she's crazy.

I started packing my hospital bag but a lot of the stuff that I want to put in there, I'm still using now. So far I have a nursing gown and robe, going home outfit for baby, the affinity pads, and nipple cream/breast pads in there. I still have to buy some disposable underwear and witch hazal pads. But all the toiletries, my comfy pajamas/slippers and my chargers, I'm still using so I guess I'll have to stuff it all in before going to the hospital lol

@oliviaoblivia: I don't know if this will help you in your procrastination or not, but I keep telling myself things like this: "Well, it's not like he'll sleep in the crib right away anyway. We can just use the pack'n'play/rock'n'play." Or, "All he really needs is a few sleepers, diapers, and my boobs anyway, right?"

The floors is the nursery might be installed before the baby arrives. Might. Ugh.
I remember being so excited with my last pregnancy, with this one I am just not ready. I want to meet her, but I'm feeling very overwhelmed by my list right now. So I'm sitting on my rump playing in my phone. Slap me. -
@oliviaoblivia: I say enjoy the "you time" after your daughter goes to bed while you can! Things will be crazy once these babies get here no matter how prepared or unprepared we are, so we might as well take it easy and enjoy the peace and quiet after bedtime while we can

I have been a bad member of this group - haven't chimed in much at all but enjoy following what's going on with everyone! I've been working and in school half time, and with the semester winding down (and due date coming up!) I'm finding myself on HB more and more as I get ready for baby. Glad to read everyone is doing well, just wanted to say hi again

@charmed: @namaste: @MapleMoose: @pmrlady: I think I'm going to work on my hospital bag tonight. Yesterday, DH and I went to Babies R Us and Target and bought all the stuff we still need with gift cards we got from our work shower.
I had three people - my OB, a Newborn Care teacher, and our childbirth educator - tell me or hint around that it looks like I'll go early, so I kind of panicked yesterday and went into nesting mode. I spent all day cleaning today too!

@mfa_lady: Yay for a good sized little girl! I knew she would be fine! And also awesome that she is so far down already! I had an ultrasound yesterday too; isn't it crazy how much they have changed since the first ultrasounds so many months ago?

If you could pick a day to have baby, when would it be? anything in the new year would be fine. Since we're in Europe and the date format is different 15/01/15 looks nice. But really just hang on in there until 2015 little one!
Is baby named? *hangs head in shame* no. I think we've narrowed it down to two choices though. But still unsure...
Are you ready? well mentally I've had a lot of time hanging out on the couch to prepare so yes. Setup wise etc. not so much. Still need to wash some cloths and we have to bring the crib, carseat etc. back to our house. And I need to pack my bag.

Just got back from our ultrasound, baby is head down and looked great. He's already supposedly 6lbs 7oz which is crazy since I really have 4 weeks to go and DD was only 6lbs 10z at birth! Still just playing it by ear in terms of induction due to my blood pressure.
Now I'm home with a puking toddler, which is not exactly restful…hoping it passes quickly and I don't' get it!

@Pumuckl: we're going to play it by ear and if I have any dilation before the 29th we're going to try the vbac but if I'm closed up baby girl will be here on the 29th.
