Thanks everyone! It went great!!
All measurements are normal and he is most definitely still a boy heart rate was between 152- 157. I found out I have an anterior placenta, so it may take a little longer to feel consistent movements. The only thing that we have to watch is an antibody that they found when I was 6 weeks. They're retesting me today (I'm waiting right now for blood work) and if the levels are above a certain amount, they'll monitor the baby and maybe test DH. They said its really nothing to worry about and the type of antibody I have is usually harmless.
We got lots of cute pics, this is my fav!!

@lilteacherbee: aw what a cool picture! I'm relieved to hear he's still a boy lol! Hope all is well with your bloodwork!

@lilteacherbee: I'm glad everything went well! I had an anterior placenta with DS and it really did make movements hard for me to feel...BTW, I was not told I had an anterior placenta until I went to MFM at 40w, but I obviously had it all along. It would have really made me worry less about not feeling movements had I had that small piece of info! Glad you know now so you can have a little piece of mind in that aspect. Hope your labs go quickly!

Even though we already know that she's a girl, I'm still pretty excited for the anatomy scan this Thursday. I just love getting to see her again!

@MrsCB: @MrsTiz: @sweetooth: @Ash: Thanks, I think he's pretty darn cute myself
@anbanan15: Yes, I'm really glad the ultrasound tech told me as well. At 15 weeks I had flutters that I'm 90% sure were baby, but I haven't felt anything since. I check on him with the doppler at home and I can hear him moving, so I haven't been too worried, but I'm glad that I know not to expect anything for awhile.
blogger / clementine / 985 posts
@lilteacherbee: What a cutie! I found out I have an anterior placenta, too! The tech was surprised that I still couldn't feel her with how hard she was kicking though, haha.
@NeekieRose: Have fun today!
Our anatomy scan went well (girl!). I have a boring appointment set up for July 11 now.

@MrsDragon: I know, it's crazy!! He was moving and jumping around and I couldn't feel a thing!
So they called back and said there was such a small amount of the antibody this time that they're not worried at all. They're having DH tested for the antigen just to be safe. I went to the MFM office to pick up the lab slip for DH and I asked them wht my next appointment on July 9th would entail. The receptionist said that they have me down for an ultrasound! I was really surprised because I thought the 17 week anatomy scan would be the last one. I know the NP said they could use an ultrasound to see if the antibody was crossing the placenta (or something like that), so maybe that's why. I'm just happy to have another chance to see little Nathan!

@lilteacherbee: @MrsDragon: The way my baby was squirming around on the ultrasound the tech basically said I'm fortunate to have an anterior placenta, because one I do start feeling her it is unlikely I'm going to get much relief from her wiggles! Ha

Just got home from our anatomy scan...baby is a BOY!
Everything seemed okay, though of course the tech wasn't allowed to tell us (results have to be interpreted by a doc). She did take some extra measurements because my placenta was looking a little close to the cervix. The placenta usually moves up when the uterus moves up, so she said if it was too close, then they'd just keep an eye on things to ensure the placenta moves up. I'm a little nervous, because if the placenta doesn't move away from the cervix, I won't be able to have a vaginal birth. But, I'm just trying not to think about it.
Instead I can focus on my boy. That is so strange, in the best way.

@Maysprout: Congrats on your girl! I think you're the third - that I can think of. So far NeekieRose and MrsDragon are both having girls.

@MrsTiz: With my first, I knew I was having a boy. With this one... I don't have that "feeling" but I think it may be a girl :). Maybe I'm just hopeful because I realllly would like a baby girl :D. Also, I have such different symptoms this time around than I did with my first! Eeek, so anxious to find out!

@ms.janedoe: love it! I have an ultrasound on July 9 and a boring OB appointment on July 15.

@ms.janedoe: list looks great!
I don't know why I didn't mention it here but I had my 20 week appointment today and my ultrasound is actually tomorrow morning at the pernintologist. It doesn't need to be on the list or anything.
Today went good, got to hear baby for a long time because I was recording it for DH. I gained FOUR pounds last month. Holllyyy shittt! She didn't seem concerned, she didn't even say anything about it actually but it freaked me out! So for 20 weeks of pregnancy i've gained 9.5 lbs! eek! I'm not going to stay near 20-25 for sure!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@MrsTiz: Yay, glad it went well! At my appointment yesterday, the doctor literally put the doppler on for 5 seconds. I mean I have one at home so I can listen whenever, but still. It was a pretty pointless appointment other than hearing that I'm gonna have a giant baby...
Oh and I found out I gained 7 pounds so far, 3 of which has been in the last month. I'm pretty happy with that because it FEELS like more, maybe because I'm so short.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@lilteacherbee: I think the reason i'm upset over weight gain is because in my dreams the weight i'm at now would be the max I wanted to end pregnancy at. I started off about 30lbs higher than I should have been and my doctor told me to gain ~.5 lb in the second tri a week and I gained a whole pound a week haha!
I wish I had gotten a doppler for the early stages, I just kept forgetting to order it and now i'm passed the worry stage so I just as soon forget it

@lilteacherbee: @MrsTiz: I have NO idea what I've gained so far; I don't weigh myself. I know I've mentioned it, but it sucks because the weeks/months leading up to when I found out I was pregnant, I was eating like, one meal of 500-600 calories a day (bad, bad, bad, I know)--as a result I was pretty (unhealthily!) thin. Going from that to eating "normal" meals, multiple times a day was a huge shock to my metabolism, so I put on a lot of weight fast, early on just from that. Had my weight been stable when I found out I was pregnant, I probably wouldn't have gained as much as I have so far. I find out next Friday what I weigh!
coconut / 8472 posts
I've heard weight gain can fluctuate a lot, and that just because you gain in the beginning, doesn't mean you'll stay at the same rate your entire pregnancy. A lot of women get so cramped when the baby's in the last months they barely eat.
I'm the weirdo that's still down about 15 pounds so far. But I was much heavier than you guys to begin with. Luckily the OB wasn't all that concerned. My mom keeps saying I'll gain weight eventually. But it would be nice if I don't! My weight was really getting up there after I got off BC because my PCOS started getting out of control. I was really worried I'd be one of those people that would gain like 50 pounds in pregnancy and then I'd be even larger and not be able to lose the weight.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsTiz: I think I've gained about 5lbs... I brought it up at my appt and my midwife said I'm on the low end of weight gain and she isn't concerned at all.. I feel like a boat!
