@shellio: Ours are next Tuesday!! I will definitely look at that site - thank you!! Good luck to you too!! I didn't think I'd be stressing over pictures lol!!

@ms.janedoe: I don't knoooooooooow! I wanted to wear a maxi skirt with a tank and maybe a jean jacket and/or a black and white striped dress. I don't own a single pair of maternity jeans and really, I don't know how easy it would be to find some that are cute in such short time. So, you wanna share the outfit you loooove?! / CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW FAST TIME IS FLYING?!?! We're gonna have little babes in our arms soon! Ahhhhhhh!! / Can't wait to see your lo's room!

@lilteacherbee: Ours are next tuesday! Yikes!! I don't even own any maternity jeans so I'm kind of stuff with what I can wear. Love the idea of a dress and boots. Hmmm!

@MrsTiz: Love Jack's room! Dh's addition to the dresser is super cute!!

@MrsTiz: No one is replacing me while I'm gone. There will be 2 of us on maternity leave during our busiest season. They probably hate us. Good luck finding someone - sounds like hard work that I wouldn't wanna do!

@MrsTiz: No one is replacing me, but I have had to write up a whole maternity plan and delegate all my responsibilities. Additionally, I have to write about a million "standard operating procedure" documents on things that I do so that the people covering that specific responsibility has written directions.

@MrsTiz: my feet haven't given me any issues *yet*. I'm hoping maybe I'll be able to squeak by until the verryyyy end, fingers crossed!

I still don't know who will be in my classroom when I'm gone. My assistant will still be here, so at least the kids will have at least one person they are familiar with. I'm just glad it's during the time of year that the kids lose their minds and forget everything anyway. Nov-Jan is such a touchy time with the kids because of all the breaks that nothing *really* gets accomplished and we have to review everything anyway.

    @ShootingStar: Great u/a pic!

@Ash: Discount Fluff & Beyond Co-op had one recently that closed in under 24 hours! Several different styles offered, including some bows/clips. They are going to run another one after the first gets sorted etc, so keep an eye out because I think it will fill fast again.

@MrsTiz: They are supposed to be working on hiring my sub for while I am gone, so I am creating a binder full of everything I think that person will have to know. I've been a maternity sub before, so I would have been so grateful to have this binder! How is your nausea? Mine was bad yesterday afternoon.

I am so happy that fall is here and I will be able to wear boots and what not!
@Ash: It is CRAZY how fast time is flying! We had our hospital tour on Saturday, and we saw some new peanuts in the nursery--it was crazy to think we'll have one of those soon!

@anbanan15: Oh boy... bows could take over my diaper addiction! Lol!

Any of you ladies trendy? I'll let you pick an outfit for my pics!

@Mrs. J: I love cuddling the new babies at work... I don't think our lo is fond of it though cuz I usually get kicked while I'm holding them!

@Mrs. J: Nausea isn't so bad, I think it might actually be heartburn? I'd never had heartburn before I got pregnant so i'm still working it all out haha, I get it in the back of my throat, not in my chest..it's a burning feeling, almost like refluxy

@MrsTiz: @Mrs. J: Okay! I'll work on taking some pics within the next day or so and I'll post! I have a midwife appointment tomorrow and I'm gonna see if I can find something while I'm out and about.

@MrsTiz: @Ash: @NeekieRose: @ms.janedoe: @anbanan15: Thanks guys :D. I think he looks a lot like DH did when he was a baby. We pulled out one of his pics, and the noses are exactly the same, it was so cute.

@NeekieRose: Yay, I'm glad you were able to copy them! Nursery looks great.

@MrsTiz: LOVE the nursery, especially the carving. As for work, we just hired an intern to help while I'm out.

@Mrs. J: @MrsTiz: I have this dress... I was thinking of getting a denim jacket anyways so I could try this:
    http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/outfit.do?cid=100246&oid=OUT-633933002
and I have a navy and white striped maxi skirt that I could wear with a white tank and a cardi or a white fitted tee (http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=6055&vid=1&pid=890312132)
Or maybe I need to find some jeans?

  14. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

So I think I'm gonna buy these jeans (http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=6017&vid=1&pid=426228002)... they're 35% off so they're only $45... with this shirt and then maybe I'll do the black and white dress as my other option. What do you think?!

@Ash: Have you tried demi panel before? I know some people like them, but I HATE them. I actually wore a pair from Gap to work on Friday and was so uncomfortable I had to go to Target and buy a different pair to wear. They also constantly fall down on me.

  16. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@ShootingStar: I only have 1 pair of maternity pants - they're a full panel denim capri so no, I haven't. I'm going to Target today to see what they have for jeans before I order these. I don't know what else to do - we have nooo maternity stores around here.

  17. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

@Ash: I think these are the ones I got from Target. I've been pretty happy with them so far - http://www.target.com/p/liz-lange-for-target-maternity-medium-wash-denim-jeans-blue/-/A-14627255#prodSlot=medium_1_2. They're a pretty basic bootcut jean. I also tried on these skinnies, but decided I didn't need more skinnies - http://www.target.com/p/liz-lange-for-target-maternity-dark-wash-denim-jeans-blue/-/A-14627268#prodSlot=medium_1_3.

And you might be totally fine with demi panels, but I know I've tried 2 different pairs (and wasted a lot of money ) on pants that won't stay up or hit my bump in an uncomfortable way.

  18. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@ShootingStar: I can't do skinny jeans but I'll check their bootcut out when I'm there today. I'm just kind of at a loss - I just searched demi panel vs full panel on hb and I'm finding most people do prefer full panel. Thanks for the heads up!

    I like these too: http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=12941&vid=1&pid=329294002

@Ash: Good luck :). I like those Old Navy ones a lot. I've bought so many maternity clothes, but I haven't actually bought any jeans from ON. All my jeans have come from Motherhood. For whatever reason the Target ones look terrible in pictures, but look fine on.

  20. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@ShootingStar: We don't have a motherhood. Actually, we don't even have an old navy anymore! I am definitely going to check out the jeans at Target today. Pictures never do anything justice - I just cross my fingers when I order stuff online!! I wish my regular jeans fit with a bellyband but that's definitely NOT happening!

  21. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@Ash: I ordered a couple pairs of full panel jeans from Old Navy last week (I can't justify spending more than that on something I will only wear on weekends for the next 5.5 weeks)...they should get here today or tomorrow. I'll let you know how they turn out.

  22. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@NeekieRose: my feelings exactly. I should've bought jeans long before now lol! Since my pics are a week from today, I'll probably order tonight after I get home from my appt (after checking a couple stores). But if you get them today, I'd love to hear what you think!

  23. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@Ash: I really love the black and white striped dress, I imagine it's very flattering on a bump! I like the jean jacket with it too.. is that an outfit you put together? I'm digging a colored shoe with it too! That has my vote way more than any jeans option.

What's the weather like where you are? I think I'd do the white v-neck with jeans and a bright solid cardigan if it's chilly, or if you're going to do more than one outfit.

Sorry i'm just now seeing this! A cardigan with your b&w stripe dress could be fun too, instead of the jean (I like jean too though)

http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=8993&vid=1&pid=599277032 - a colored cardi I think would look good with your hair color. Could be cute with a white tank/v-neck and jeans

@NeekieRose: Ha, I figure I'll need maternity jeans for another couple months after delivery.

I feel like being due in November is weird timing with maternity clothes. It's still warm enough here (especially in my office) for short sleeve or 3/4 shirts. But eventually it'll get cold enough to need long sleeve stuff. But then we'll have just a month or so left. I've been really into creating outfits lately and trying to find stuff that I can wear before and after baby.

  25. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@ShootingStar: Ahhh...after delivery. Didn't even really think about that! I'm a little below my pre-pregnancy weight (I did not need to gain weight...sigh), but even so, things are gonna be all weird and postpartum-y! Good call!

  26. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@ShootingStar: same here! I'm due the first week of November, so I've got a good chance of an October due date and it doesn't get cold here until late November. I didn't think about PP!! Maternity clothes all seem to be clingy so I don't know what to get for cold weather clothes

  27. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: Oh heavens no, I didn't put that outfit together. I have zero style! I don't know if I'll be able to find a jean jacket before next Tuesday so I'll probably just do a cardigan. If I get out of work on time tomorrow, I'm gonna run by Old Navy and see what they have in the store. I'm not worrying about jeans anymore - that's a pain! Maybe I won't even do an outfit change. Thanks for your input

@MrsTiz: @Ash: Ahh! I've been MIA on this. I like the idea of the colored cardigan instead of the jean jacket, and I like the jeans outfit as an option with the dress. Maybe add a scarf to the jeans outfit?

@Ash: How did it go at Target yesterday?

So I made a diaper lol. It's sad attempt at a NB/SM AIO with added features (double gussets, rolled leg elastic, extra pocket for stuffing, umbilical scoop, etc), but whatever...I tried to combine a bunch of feature I like from several different styles. The minky PUL is actually an old wet bag from DS that had a broken zipper that I decided to upcycle (because making a diaper was easier than replacing a zipper...hmmm...should have thought about that one a little more). Excuse my laziness when it came to not changing thread colors on the velcro.

@anbanan15: That looks great! Good for you!! I like how you combined the features you like. Are you planning to make more?

Birth plans - is anyone making one?

  34. Turd Ferguson

    pomegranate / 3160 posts

@MrsTiz: Eh, not really. Our hospital had a pretty generic "worksheet" birth plan on their website I printed off--my main thing is that baby and momma be safe and healthy. I haven't been too set on anything the entire pregnancy as long as we come out alright at the end!

It had a couple sections about "what is important to you after the birth" and I made sure to include skin-to-skin, delayed cord clamping, and breastfeeding (obviously if everything works out that way), but overall didn't get too "into" the birth plan deal.

  35. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: @Mrs. J: Alrighty.... so here's what I got: I bought a coral cardigan to wear with the dress and I bought a pair of jeans to wear with my white v neck tee and a navy and white scarf. Today, I'm gonna put it on and see how they look. I also bought a denim jacket to have just in case. Fingers crossed it looks okay!!

@ShootingStar: I bought a pair of the bootcut jeans! And a tunic. I tried on jeans at Target and Kohls and liked the Target ones way better. Thanks for the rec!

    @anbanan15: Oh myyyy!! That's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MrsTiz: I haven't decided if I want to write up a birth plan or not... I know what I want but ultimately I'm afraid to get too set on a plan and I'll be disappointed if it's written out and doesn't happen. Although, I'd like a water birth/skin to skin and delayed cord clamping.

  36. FarmWifeGina

    pear / 1571 posts

@MrsTiz: Yes. Mostly just a list of preferences in case we have to transfer to the hospital and it'll probably mainly list things for after the birth or in case of a c-section, since, if we have to transfer, there will be some kind of problem and an IV or meds or whatever will be necessary, or the least of my worries anyways. Basically any kind of birth plan I ever write can be summed up in, "Just don't do anything to me or my baby, even if it's standard operating procedure for you, without checking with me first and giving me the chance to decline and/or discuss different options!" I'm not against interventions or things not going the way I'd prefer, but I want to be informed and be the one making the decisions about what happens and when.

  37. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

@MrsTiz: My midwife gave me a sheet to fill out for the birth plan at my last visit. They describe their best practices, and then it has some blanks to fill in for your preferences. I wasn't really going to do one, because my priorities are 1) I want the baby safe and 2)I want the epidural. Do a c-section if it's warranted, I don't care. I want the baby safely out with no nicu time, and I don't care what that involves. But we'll probably fill it out. Guess I should get going on that...

So everyone that's a few weeks ahead of me that were talking about #2 problems a couple weeks ago... It's catching up to me. It even woke me up in the middle of the night last night.

  39. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: @Mrs. J: Oh, and I should add... I tried on the outfits today and the cardigan and denim jacket make me look boxy and YUCKY. But the jeans and white shirt with the scarf look adorable (even though gap sent me a long sleeve shirt when I ordered short sleeve!!!).

  40. Mrs. J

    pomelo / 5132 posts

@MrsTiz: I am going to be writing up a birth plan--there is an example in our Bradley workbook. It won't be the end of the world if it doesn't go to plan, but I want them to know my preferences. I'm really hoping to get the labor tub!
@Ash: Glad the scarf, jeans, and top look cute!!!
