@Ash: I don't know how you keep it a secret, especially from your mom! I had really wanted to do a gender reveal party. But when the tech told us girl at 13 weeks, I couldn't keep it a secret long enough!

@Mrs. J: I am not feeling feet, but baby girl has not stopped moving today. It feels like she is having a seizure in there. I actually spent a minute looking at my belly and watching all the little constant pulsing. It is at the top of my belly, so it must be her hands/arms and head?

Oy, is anyone else growing out of their clothes yet? Granted, it's my regular Old Navy tank tops that are getting short and showing my belly when I wear non-maternity pants, but I honestly thought they'd be long enough to last the whole way to the end, which is why I just stocked up on regular ones instead of maternity. Oh well! Of course, if I'm still tracking the way I have been with growth, I'm probably measuring at 37 cm. and will only get 3 or 4 cm. bigger in the next 2 months anyways.

@NeekieRose: Well, my mom will be visiting this weekend (and it's her birthday) so I put a bow on our u/s pic and might give it to her. I feel like I'm lying by not telling her.
@FarmWifeGina: All of my clothes still fit! Even my prepreg tanks but they're the long and lean tanks from Target so they're naturally a bit longer. I'm in need of some jeans though!!
ETA: This gaining weight thing is REALLY hard for me to handle. Like, really hard.
@anbanan15: I found this on etsy and thought it'd be so cute to do red for Christmas cards! Eeeeeeeeeek! http://www.etsy.com/listing/153224957/newborn-red-cheesecloth-wrap-and-red-and?ref=sr_gallery_27&ga_search_query=newborn+cheesecloth&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=8&ga_search_type=all

@Ash: I love that little headband! It is so small and simple... beautiful.

Ugggh, I think I had my first just miserable night...I think baby girl did some hard core shifting, my entire top of my rib cage/RIGHT under my boobs is like, ALL baby (not sure why she's up higher rather than lower!) and rock hard. Because she moved up high, I was up all night burping/heartburnin'/trying to keep everything down... Attractive, no?
This morning I got up and was having just AWFUL cramping only on my left lower side (under the bump). It went away when I sat in my truck to drive to work, but it was still kind of...off. I'm hoping it was just some crazy out of the ordinary round ligament pain or something from the change of position, but MAN, that sucked. I used my miserable night/morning to justify getting a hot Apple Blast and blueberry muffin from Caribou...nothing like a what, 1600 calorie breakfast?
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ms.janedoe: Aww that sounds pretty awful!! Totally deserves that blueberry muffin I woke up in the middle of the night last night with an awful leg cramp and I was like "ouch ouch ouch!" DH woke up and threw off the covers thinking I was in labor haha. When I realized he was freaking out, I was like "no, I'm okay, owwwww, I'm okay" haha
We went to our newborn care class last night which was pretty interesting. I knew a lot of the info, but I think it helped prepare DH a lot!
And my shower is tomorrow!!!! So excited My sister is coming home from college this weekend which always makes me happy. Monday night, my group of bible study girls are throwing me a small shower too. It's all getting so exciting!

@ms.janedoe: Def deserved. I have some reflux out the wazoo. I'm annoyed and burp for the first hour I lay down. Going to have to figure out how to be sexy again once baby is born because burping for an hour in bed def isn't.
@lilteacherbee: Have a great shower!
@Ash: Congrats on the little girl, girls are so much fun!

@Ash: SO CUTE.I love it. Also, I'm with you on the weight gain issue...It doesn't help that my FIL keeps jokingly calling me fatso...I know he doesnt mean it because they all think it's so funny because I'm normally a little person, but it still bothers me.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@Maysprout: Thanks! I think it will be a blast!
@Mrs. J: Oh my, that would hurt my feelings. We're insecure as it is. by the way, you look adorable! Maybe dh can tell him to stop.
I just feel so.... big and I'm not used to this at all.
@lilteacherbee: my dh would never know if I woke up cuz of leg cramps. He sleeps through everything! Have fun at your shower!
@ms.janedoe: I had a similar pain earlier this week but it's fine now. I think it was just the way baby was laying. Hope you enjoyed your yummy breakfast!

@lilteacherbee: have so much fun at your shower!!!
@ms.janedoe: I get lots of rib pain..it sucks!
OMG, I think poor Baby J may have inherited DH and SIL's awful hiccups...the kid hiccuped for like 10-15 minutes straight last night! They both get super painful hiccups.
Today should be a good day--DH and his dad are laying the hardwood in our bedroom (if they don't kill each other first), and we have our hospital tour. I'm obviously avoiding grading...yuck.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@lilteacherbee: have fun today lady!
@Mrs. J: major hiccups here too! It's so weird feeling.
I've been having crazy Braxton hicks today, it's weird because I don't feel any pain but my stomach gets so hard. Also I think my pelvis is officially broken, I just feel so crummy today

@Maysprout: @MrsTiz: @Mrs. J: @Ash: Thanks! It was great We had a lot of fun and now I'm tired!! I'll post some pics later- I don't have any good ones on my phone.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@Mrs. J: I don't think I've noticed hiccups yet... but who knows! Poor Baby J!
@MrsTiz: Awe! I have BH a lot some days - such a weird feeling.
@lilteacherbee: Yay!! Can't wait to see pics.
I have an acrobat in my belly!! Baby is all over the place!!!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@Ash: they were freaking me out because I was having one every 15-20 minutes, they told me that you should never notice a pattern in them, so I called but they said not to worry unless they were 3-5 min apart
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsTiz: Oh my!! There are times when I get them BAM BAM BAM and then they subside. And since they're never painful, I don't worry (too much). But eesh, that's frequent!!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsTiz: Yep, I'd say we'll be getting them more often now so I'd trust her and not worry.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@Ash: I'm getting some crazzzy movement over here! It's really exciting because up until now he's just been doing a lot of rolling/shifting positions and I haven't felt very many kicks or punches because he's facing my back..but he's either turning around or really huge now because he's constantly rolling and kneeing me..it's fun to watch him flip around!

@Ash: Cute bow! Did you get the set? One of these days I'll post a pic of the one we got for NB pics. We have a blanket that I'm thinking might work for a back drop so I'm not sure I'll get a cheesecloth. I do really like this one on Etsy that has some texture to it (not sure if you would consider it a cheesecloth as it might be a little thicker/tighter weave, but it is listed for photo props). Our photog usually has tons of prop options and really good ideas for pics (she doesn't like to do the same thing twice), but I wanted to make sure we had at least one headband I liked since I know she has a lot of hats and we did hats for DS.
BTW, you should seriously check out and join a bunch of those FB co-ops, if not for anything but to window shop I got headbands that are identical to the ones on Etsy for under $2 each
Wish I would have held off on the one we ordered for pictures a little because I paid over 8x as much for it.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@ShootingStar: Wow! Those came out fantastic!! Do you think he looks like you or your hubs?
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsTiz: Maybe that's why I haven't been feeling kicks and just huge rolling movements! I love just watching my belly.
@anbanan15: Nope, I didn't get the set. I probably won't. I usually buy headbands for my nieces from a certain etsy shop and hers are only like, $2.50 and I can find a cheap cheesecloth so that's probably what I'll do. I wanna see what you bought!! As for the co-ops, do you recommend any in particular? I joined a few but I never see bows - maybe I don't pay close enough attention though- ha!
@ShootingStar: Eeeeeeeek! Look how cute he is!

@Ash: Every single ultrasound he's facing my back! It's awesome to be able to feel him so clearly now. I think he had a growth spurt or something because he feels so HUGE the past few days and I can usually tell exactly where he is
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsTiz: You're a couple weeks ahead of me but I've felt the same way - all of a sudden I feel like baby is huuuuuuuge! But I still don't think she wants to stay head down for long periods of time - ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE!
ETA: I still can't believe we're this far. I remember your bfp announcement like it was yesterday!

So I got the nursery about 90% done this weekend. The crib and hutch were delivered but the dresser still hasn't come in yet. I got all the shower gifts put away and organized for the most part. And we hung the art that I shamelessly "copied" from @ShootingStar.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@NeekieRose: Love the room - the green is so much fun!!!
Our nursery is painted and the crib is up!! Hopefully it will be together enough soon that I can take some pics!
I am stressing so badly over my maternity pics next week... I don't know what to wear!!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@NeekieRose:
Oh wow, that looks ahmmaazzzinng! The green is so cheery! Paisley makes me way too happy, you did great!
I don't think I ever posted pics of our nursery finished..i'll be back!
pear / 1614 posts
@NeekieRose: The nursery looks great!!
@Ash: Ours are in 2 weeks and I don't know what to wear either! There is a website called Inspire Me Baby that is geared more for photographers but has some blog posts that are "what to wear" posts that might help inspire you. Good luck, I am putting off the decision till the week before because I want to see how big I'll be and how the weather looks. I have to pick out 3 sets of outfits - me, DH, and DS!
pomegranate / 3160 posts
@ShootingStar: So neat!!! That's awesome. I don't think we have another ultrasound lined up...super jealous of yours!
@NeekieRose: It looks awesome! What an awesome (and for me, slightly terrifying as it's like...real!) feeling to have it DONE!
@Ash: Ooooh, I think I have a maternity mini session lined up for Sunday the 6th...I should double check to confirm--what are you thinking so far for clothes?? I finally found one outfit that I feel like I look awesome in...and I only want to wear that one outfit on repeat. Hahahah.
I seriously cannot believe we're in the home stretch... I think it was @Ash: that said it feels like just yesterday we were all getting our BFPs! I realized I kind of hit the one month countdown at work this week...I DO plan on working as long as I can, but a month from now will get me basically the week before my due date...which is pretty freaking nuts!! I'm feeling better as I think we have it figured out that I'll be staying home for awhile, so that's a relief (though it couldn't have been done without some MAJOR drama at work...makes it SO much easier to walk away!).
I've been SUPER uncomfortable this last week or so...my back has been killing me, and baby girl's butt (I think...) is waaaaay up right under my ribs. So crazy to feel, but hard to get comfortable in any position! The nursery is SO close to being done--I'm just waiting on an etsy changing pad cover (shipped yesterday!!!) so as soon as I get that I'll throw pictures up here!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@Ash: when are your pictures? Ours are Sunday! I'm getting really excited. I know I'm wearing 2 outfits- jeans/a top and the other will be a dress and boots. The weather has finally started to cool off down here!
@NeekieRose: Awww I Love it!!! So pretty!! I LOVE paisley

DH took some pretty good pictures a few weeks ago, I've added a few more things but we're calling it done! The last picture is the legs on the dresser, DH added the legs and carved the birds into them.

@MrsTiz: I love it! It looks so great! It must feel great to be done!!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@ms.janedoe: Sorry work is so crummy! At least you will be off for a while! Do you think you'll go back there, or are you done for good? I cant wait to see your pictures! What pad cover did you end up going with?
@lilteacherbee: How excited are you about being able to wear boots?! None of my shoes fit except one pair of flip flops (not even joking..I went up almost a whole size!) so i'll be living through you!

Is anyones work hiring someone to fill in for them while we're all out on maternity leave?
I have a stack of applications on my desk for people who applied for my old job, so I have to start calling for interviews and pick someone who will take over for me while i'm out and then move into my old position. I'm so nervous, I have no idea what to ask these people!
persimmon / 1386 posts
Thanks ladies! I really do love how it turned out. But now that it is mostly ready, I might start to get impatient for baby's arrival. The long list of things to accomplish at work before maternity leave should help with not wanting her to arrive too soon...
@MrsTiz: Looks so great! And I absolutely love the bird detail on the dresser legs!!
@ms.janedoe: I have a mini-maternity session scheduled for the 6th too! I will be in my 37th week, so kinda late on that but I didn't decide to do one until last week. Mine will be at the photographers farm...so I'm thinking jeans and a sweater? Maybe a dress and boots like @lilteacherbee. I figure I don't need to finalize outfits til next weekend.
