@Ash: take some pictures! I wanna see
@Mrs. J: I'd love to see it (or a rough idea of it) when you're through!
I wrote my "plan" out on an index card, but I had a few friends on FB talk about theirs, so I had one of them e-mail hers to me and it's like 3 pages long! Now i'm questioning my pathetic notecard that basically says "epidural, healthy baby, breastfeed" haha
I picked my replacement! She starts Wednesday, so this week i've been slammed trying to keep up with my work and make her some guides on what it is that I do so she can get the hang of it asap, because theres a pretty good chance Jack will show up this month (AHHHHHHH!!!!)

@Mrs. J: I'm praying for it haha! I'd be totally fine with him coming at 38+ weeks. I'm due the first week of November, so he could very easily come in October! I'm not a fan of his due date week just because we've got a ton of family birthdays/anniversaries that week so I'd hate for him to share a birthday with one of DH's family members (long story). Knowing my luck though he's going to come on Halloween or be late.

@MrsTiz: How crazy is it that we're basically in October, and we're due so early in November? We're almost there!
persimmon / 1386 posts
@Mrs. J: @MrsTiz: I would love to go a little early, like the last week of Oct. Being due Nov 2, I feel like that should be a possibility. But I am afraid that if I let myself think too much about that being a possibility, I will end up going past my due date and have this kid mid-Nov! And those last couple weeks will be torture!
Sidenote, apparently you are supposed to have your hospital bag packed by 35 weeks....and that is TOMORROW for me. Guess I know what I need to do this weekend.

@NeekieRose: we're going to start working on ours soon, I kept saying I was going to get it done but i've been procrastinating. I'm not even sure what all we'll put in it.

@MrsTiz: the nurse who did our birth class had a good list of things that I wrote down (need to look at that) and I have googled a bunch of lists....but I still don't know exactly what to put in it.

@shellio: Thanks!! I'm still working on a dressier outfit but not sure if I'll have any luck.
@MrsTiz: Eeeeeeeeeeeek! Bag packing showed up on my pregnancy app today!!
Anyone have any recommendations for a nursing tank?!

I get my cast off tomorrow! Hopefully they don't put another one one
Haha you guys are talking about bags packing and I haven't even done anything in the nursery yet. It still looks like the tornado that is DS went off in it. He has to get every toy out and bring it all over the house and I just have no energy to clean it. I'm hoping that changes once my cast is off. I did cut the tags off some new blankets and brought all of our linens to my parents to wash (they have a larger machine so it takes less loads to do it there...and only live 5 min away) so I guess that is progress? Haha now to actually wash it all...I guess I should wash her clothing and our diapers too...hmmm
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: Oh, don't worry... This mama hasn't done anything either. Nursery is painted and crib is assembled but that's all. Still have to wash everything. The thought of it all exhausts me! / Yay for getting your cast off! Fingers crossed everything looks good!

@Ash: Your outfits are cute! I wish I would have thought to take pics of mine today before our photos (currently in my PJs!). Our session went well!! I LOVE our photographer!! Her son was in my class a few years ago and she was always one of the sweetest parents! I think we got lots of good ones! I can't wait to see them
@anbanan15: Yay!! Good luck tomorrow! I know you're excited about that!!
Is anyone else feeling like they have NO motivation at work anymore? Oh my gosh, it's so bad. I love my kids and my job and I've never been one to dread going to work, but the weeks seem to go by sooo slow!! Work is just exhausting now because I feel like I never stop moving, but at the same time, the day just drags on!! I find myself counting down to maternity leave! 49 days until his due date and less than that until I'm done with work! I can do it....

Oh hey, look who is behind again...me. Anyway, @MrsTiz: nice list! I'll probably be checking it out in the next week or so (how freaking CRAZY is that...we're talking about packing hospital bags...)!
@Ash: I looooove the striped dress and belt look, you look awesome! I can't wait to see how your and @lilteacherbee: 's pictures come out (if you guys share them!)!
We have our quick mini-session pictures on Sunday, so that should be fun! I seriously can't believe we're in the homestretch, it feels so insane! I have 39 days until my due date, which is freaking nuts! @lilteacherbee: I have NO clue how you do it, woman... I work a desk/office job where I basically do...nothing, and I have ZERO motivation. Like, I get to work and then just...zone out...basically like that scene from Office Space:
ETA:
Otherwise though, things are going fine--no major complaints! I still haven't seen a stretch mark, but I have a feeling the final few weeks they'll show up with a vengence... I also never got the "dark line," but again, there's still time! I've been sleeping alright, but usually wake up on my back and suuuper sore, so that kind of blows. Anyway, happy Monday!

I'm kind of getting to the point where I just want this pregnancy to be over. The food/GD/meds stuff is still a struggle. I have an appointment with the endocrinologist later this morning, hopefully I get a better resolution on the meds stuff. And baby boy has either decided to take up residence on top of my bladder, or I have a UTI :-S.
I'm at the point where if it keeps going like this, I'm going to end up begging them at 37 weeks to induce me. I have a 32 week ultrasound tomorrow, and I'm really interested to see how he's growing. I'm worried that with the blood sugar stuff out of control for a month, he's going to be huge.

@ShootingStar: Crap. Can I steal your list? So much more detailed than mine!!
Speaking of baby books, did you get one yet? I just got ours in on Saturday.. I kinda love it. It's not as pastel IRL but it has all the pages I want and it's clean, not overly babyish. Supper happy with it especially having not seen it in person having ordered it!

@ms.janedoe: I have gotta agree, @lilteacherbee: you're amazing for still working. I'm sitting at my desk job, doing nothing and almost cried this morning because I am so.freaking.done.
@Ash: I like the black dress! So flattering!! Can't wait to see pictures from you guys!
I have got the serious RAGE today. I need to hang a sign on my door that says "NO." so maybe people will just stay away from me today haha
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@ShootingStar: You sound just like me! I am going to buy all the raspberry leaf tea, primrose oil, etc this week and start it up around 36 weeks. If I go to 40 weeks I am going to end up single and friendless because I am turning into a full-on JERK. DH makes fun of my moans and groans bc I can't move without making some sort of grunt. Hope all goes well with your appointment!

@MrsTiz: DH got our baby book a while ago - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4370679. He's so cute and wants to bring it to the hospital because he read that you might be able to get them to put the footprints in it.
Luckily I will not be going past 40 weeks, thank God. If everything looks good up until the end they will likely induce me around 39.5, at the latest they would do it 40+1. But I have a feeling that due to the GD my placenta's not going to make it that long. A lot of OB practices will actually induce you around 38 if you're dependent on insulin to control GD, but my midwife practice doesn't do that. But they will monitor us to see if he needs to come out sooner.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@ShootingStar: That's cute! Our hospital said they'll stamp the feet prints in the recovery room if you want so we're bringing ours too I know you hate having GD but if there is anything good about it, it's that you will get to meet your babe early, right?
Do you have to start weekly appointments earlier than most?

Getting close!
Going to have to pack at least a start to the hospital bag today, I don't know that I'm going to write down a birth plan but both DH and I are on the same page so hopefully we'll be able to express it when the time comes.
My BH are so much stronger this go around. Some have started making me stop and say owww, that never happened with #1 until I was in the beginning stages of labor. Sat night I even had it radiating through my back and got really nervous but decided I was exhausted and needed sleep and baby was super active so she seemed fine and luckily they eased up at least a bit after I'd slept for a bit. I've been drinking lots of water so I'm not dehydrated. But DH started becoming alert so at least he'll be carrying his phone with him, which sometimes he forgets.
coconut / 8472 posts
@MrsTiz: I'm not sure when 1 week appointments start, haha. But, I do have to go to L & D for NSTs 2x/week starting at 34 weeks :-/. But yeah, the good thing about all this is that I get to meet him sooner and I won't be sitting around at 42 weeks wondering I the baby's ever going to come.
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ShootingStar: I feel you! I have an ultrasound at 33 weeks on Wednesday. I'm hoping he's a reasonable weight because he was 4lb 1oz at 29 weeks (before I got diagnosed). I'll probably be induced at 39 weeks. The whole placenta thing scares me too
@MrsTiz: @ms.janedoe: Haha thanks, It's kicking my butt! Thankfully, today is a teacher workday so I get to sit and relax more. I know that being active and moving around helps with GD, so that's some motivation. Every morning though, I have a battle with myself about getting out of bed, it's bad!

I cannot believe how close we are getting! I need to pack my bag and finalize stuff for my sub...whom they still haven't hired. I am trying not to stress about it, but I wanted to talk to him or her before hand so that I know my students are being left in good hands. I am so not focused at work anymore...I would rather work on stuff at home. I am trying to work up until my due date, and then after that, I am staying home if baby hasn't come yet. Luckily, my president has basically cleared me from parent teacher conferences, which are on my due date!
@MrsTiz: I swore at DH this morning bc he elbowed me in his sleep AGAIN bc he is sleeping in the middle of the bed but won't acknowledge it...then he tried to complain about the body pillow. No way, buddy. I am carrying your kid. Get over it!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@Mrs. J: What grade do you teach again? I hear you on not wanting to work! I can't imagine being on my feet all day like you guys!
How funny, DH (bless his heart) has had really bad restless legs the past few nights so he goes and sleeps on the couch so he can kick and spread out and not bother me..I'm supposed to miss him being in bed, but man..it is glorious to be able to spread out and not worry about him being too close to me! I actually yelled at the poor guy the other night because I woke up in the middle of the night and his face was *right* in front of mine and I yelled at him for being too close to me. I thought he was on the middle pillow and all in my side..then I realized *I* was in the middle and was all in his space, oops!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@Mrs. J: AHHHH! DH does the same thing!! He sleeps RIGHT in the MIDDLE of the bed and it drives me crazy!!
coconut / 8472 posts
@lilteacherbee: Do you know what percentile he was at? We were at 65% 4 weeks ago. I'm hoping he's not too much bigger than that when we go tomorrow.
I went to the endocrinologist this morning and she was really really nice. I explained how difficult planning out what I eat and staying under 30g carbs per meal is she was completely understanding. We have a new plan of attack with medication - I'm going to take a long acting insulin at night, which is good for 18-24 hours, and short acting insulin at dinner. I'm also going to try to stay around 45-50 carbs instead of 30, which is SO much better. The meal time insulin also gives me a little more leeway to eat more carbs if I want to.

@lilteacherbee: Thanks! I'm super nervous for the pics! Can't wait to see yours!! / You're not alone - I have zero motivation for work. I love love love my job but I haaaaaaaaaate getting up to go!! And while I'm here I am so tired and just want to nap! That's really my only complaint though.
@ms.janedoe: Thanks! I hope they turn out... and I don't just look like a giant cow.
@ShootingStar: I wouldn't worry about nail clippers or emery boards at the hospital - everywhere I've always worked doesn't advise clipping for a while. Just an fyi. Love your list - I packed some stuff yesterday!! Ahhhhhh!
@MrsTiz: Thanks, mama!! I'm so nervous!!

I hope everyone will post links to their photo sessions! I am not a gold member and would love to see the bumps. My photographer does not have a blog - she is awesome and her site seems very modern but she is one of the few I've encountered that doesn't have one. I'm bummed about that but I'm sure putting up blog posts from every session could be very time consuming.

@MrsTiz: High school! I have all juniors and seniors. @lilteacherbee: does he at least acknowledge that he is in the middle of the bed?

Got my cast off and upgraded to a removable one I only have to wear out of the house or if I will be on my foot long periods. Getting some stuff to deep clean this thing ASAP X-ray looked good, however my foot pops when I walk on it and there is too much play along the joints of the first metatarsal (this is ultimately what led to the surgery of my right foot, so essentially the same thing is happening again). Ortho said it could be related to all the extra pregnancy hormones (his wishful thinking explanation), but he is worried it's a repeat of my right foot. I go back in 4 weeks for a recheck, but really he can't do anything until I have the baby. So that's that. I will catch up on the thread later...

@Mrs. J: Ummm kinda? I tell him to move and he mumbles something and moves like half an inch, so I literally push him haha. It's sweet that he wants to cuddle, but I have to switch positions a million times a night and I need my space!
@anbanan15: Yay!! I hope everything works out and you don't need surgery again!
@ShootingStar: They didn't say, but I've looked online and everything says that he was somewhere in the 80's....yikes!

@ShootingStar: most likely we will have babies here this month! The October board has tons of babies that came in September. Gah fingers crossed for a late October babe
Jack has been doing some serious stretching, he does these full leg(arm?) extension kicks and my whole belly juts out. So weird. I think we felt some toes(fingers?) last night. My belly was really hard in one spot and when I rubbed it I felt very definite ridges, DH felt it too so my best guess is fingers or toes! I have no clue which way he's facing haha. I'm in the waiting room at the doctor now so I'm gonna ask if he's head down or not

@NeekieRose: I think you and I have a good chance for Oct babies! Ahh! I'm getting so excited. Of course that means il probably to to 41 weeks as punishment haha

I was in yesterday (34 weeks, 3 days) and all looked good (yeah, yeah, yeah, appointment board, whatever)! Weight and BP were right on track, I was measuring exactly 34cm, and babygirl is head down! Now let's just hope she stays that way for the next 5-6 weeks! I slept like crap last night, which was miserable, but again, I'll take it!
