@Beebug: I'm 90% sure I have a little boy in my tummy DH still has no feeling one way or another.
Take a nap while you still can. The first few weeks with a newborn is rough on sleep but so worth it.

Due Date: 10/17
Plans for induction: We’re playing it by ear. I’d love to go naturally before 39 weeks but we’ll see how my appt this week goes. I’m also hoping that I’ll be able to cope with this last little bit better now that I’m off work.
Weeks along, weight gained: 37.5 weeks and 43 pounds.
Boy, Girl, or Surprise: Boy
Name(s)?: Decided on Elliott Joshua this week but it’s still a secret IRL.
How many contractions away is the hospital?: Depends on the time of day but ideally the drive is about 15-20 minutes.
Any anticipated labour/delivery complications? None that we know of. Fingers crossed!
Most recent appt stats: 2.5cm dilated, 80% effaced
Next appt? October 2
Guesstimated Birthweight of baby: I think just under 8 pounds.
Will baby have hair? No hair? If my extreme heartburn is any indication he’ll have TONS of hair
Anything left to do?: We have one more shelf that needs to go up in the nursery.
Most anxious about: Also not knowing when I’ll go into labor. The anticipation is hard.
How are you feeling?: Tired and huge….majorly ready to meet baby.
Aside from baby arrival being safe, and baby and Mom being healthy, what are you looking forward to once your baby is here?: Being able to spend time with him and do the little things as a family. I’m so excited about family walks around the neighborhood, grocery store trips, etc. Just looking forward to life with him here!
Looking forward to post-pregnancy? RUNNING!!!!!!! And being able to actually work toward fitness goals.
Post-pregnancy fitness goals? (If any!): Start working out as soon as healthy, be back in decent shape (I doubt I’ll be able to make it back to pre-preg shape by then but who knows) by Christmas. 10k in April!
What do you anticipate will be the most difficult part of learning to parent or the hardest adjustment to being a parent?: Sleep. I’m also nervous about breastfeeding.
Return to work date (if returning!): Planning on being a SAHM.
As of now, how many children do you think you will have: I’m really not sure. DH and I would love 4 kids total but I’m going to need some time to get used to the idea of being pregnant again.

Best moment of the day?
Neighbour, two doors down, who I see probably at least once a week somewhere around our houses passing each other walking our dogs says to me today, "you're pregnant?!"
I was like yah....due in two weeks actually!
She was of course like "omg, you look amazing"
I really needed that today, too funny! We're pretty close with some of our neighbours, these people seem so nice, but really keep to themselves, so I said when the baby is here she'd have to come for a visit, would be great to get to know them better, but in the meantime, I'll take the pick me up!
coconut / 8475 posts
@Beebug: haha too funny:) when we had my shower my neighbor was like "why did u have a shower? Who is pregnant?" I was 33w. I was like...ummm-meee? He is so cute: we chat when we check our mail.

Anyone else having "crampy" type braxton hicks? I've been having off and on braxton hicks that feel like period cramps the past few days. They are so annoying! Everytime I get one I wonder if it's labor but so far nothing.
I'm content with LO staying put until next week. I want the rest of this week to spend QT with DS and finish getting everything ready.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@jessiejo17: Thinking about you today!!!
@Mrs.B: I had really weird twinges/cramps through the night last night, at one point I was thinking....is this the beginning?! They have carried through to this morning a bit, something definitely seems different, but who knows!
Went for a long walk with the dog this am. DH is HOME! So baby can come now, ha! I've now put off wanting her until the weekend though, let DH adjust back into this timezone! Thanksgiving this weekend, SO excited to eat so much food, pie especially!!! I have a wedding to attend Saturday, and then Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday!
I have had bad back issues previously with disc bulges and movement and I think the issues are creeping into pregnancy! My old injury I would go numb in all or parts of me from the waist down (disc bulging was pinching!) and it's begun again even just walking the dog. Big bummer as I definitely want to keep walking, but I literally have to stop walking, stand and wait for the numbness to subside! It was a lot of pool work, and strength training to get back to normal after the injury, and I know it'll be a long haul trying to get back at it after baby, just sucks the numbness is back....know it's at its worst essentially.

@Mrs.B: @Beebug: thanks ladies! Water is broke and contractions are stronger! Trying to relax but not the easiest I will let you know when she is here!

@Mrs.B: I've been feeling crampy since my appt last Tuesday. Over the weekend I had a few that I'm pretty sure were real contractions but they never progressed =/
@Beebug: Wow you have a busy weekend coming up! It'll be interesting to see if there's a potential baby arrival in there too!!!!
@mrsjyw: Eeeeeeeeeeee Thanks girly!!!
@jessiejo17: That's so exciting! It won't be long now!

@jessiejo17: ahhh! so exciting - hope everything goes well!
@mrsjyw: thanks! i was just saying to my husband this morning I couldn't believe it was October! Our month is here!
pomegranate / 3917 posts
Our month IS here, insanity.....!!!
It's funny, no one calls or texts to make plans without saying "with or without baby in arms" or something like that now, too funny!!!
@jessiejo17: So exciting, thanks for checking in!!!!
I know this sounds so silly, but I am having a day where I am like "ohh, better get that done" and like stupid things because all I can picture is MIL here (who is awesome, I don't mean this as negatively as it's going to sound!) and being judged. I apparently still care, I know I won't once baby is here, whatever gets done, great.....but if not I am sure I won't care, but in the meantime I am like hmm...better get that done!
Last birthing class tonight, need a doll or something to take....I suppose a stuffed animal dog won't suffice? LOL. I may need to see if I can borrow from someone.

Our first October mama is in labor - hooray for @jessiejo17!!!!!!!
@highwire: @mrsjyw: thanks for your well wishes! I'm a late October mama, so I may need to join the Nov mama group...I hope not for my sake, but I know I'd be in good company!
I just had a doc appt, so here's my little update. I got an ultrasound and it was the first time seeing the baby since 20 weeks! We confirmed heshe is head down and it is in fact the butt that Baguette keeps pushing out for everyone to see...I'm in trouble when this kid is a teenager :). Baby is low and I'm a "fingertip dilated" but it was exciting that the doc could feel the head. The surprising news is that doc thinks the baby is only 5 lbs, 5-6 oz. and will be only 7 lbs, 4-5 oz. My mom's babies were all over 9 lbs so I've been scared of having a record breaking baby. I'm up a total of 26 lbs and BP is good, so I'll just keep on keeping on
We did major work on the baby's room this weekend, did all the baby's laundry, and packed our bags. I think we're officially as ready as we'll be...though I think I still have plenty of time.

Eeeeek! This is our month ladies!

@Tidybee: Awesome you got an u/s! So exciting! Great info you got too! I don't think you can be prepared too early once your month is here....you never know! The month will fly by.....and now that one of us has gone into labour, the rest of us will follow suit!
I just went out (said I wasn't going anywhere today...!) and was in line at Carter's with some clothes, and just turned around and put them back and left, lol. It wasn't what I wanted, but I was just buying something to buy something, and I cannot slip into silly habits like that! Got some groceries too, and curtains for our other bedroom, so mildly successful trip anyways!
I am a slow waddler today, ha!

Guesstimated Birthweight of baby: No clue, Dr. says she doesn't usually do that.
Will baby have hair? No hair? I think so, probably light brown
Anything left to do?: I don't think so... just waiting now :o)
Most anxious about: Not so much labor, but when will labor start? Middle of the night? At work? I'm feeling a little like a ticking time bomb!
How are you feeling?: Pretty good, just started to have swelling in my feet in the last week, so they are pretty sore at the end of every day. But honestly, I hope every pregnancy is like this b/c it really hasn't been bad at all.
Aside from baby arrival being safe, and baby and Mom being healthy, what are you looking forward to once your baby is here?: Of course getting to know her and seeing DH and all the grandparents with her! But part of me is really, really, really, excited about not working for 12 weeks (even though I'll be very busy with another job). I'm just so excited to finally be a MOM!
Looking forward to post-pregnancy? WINE! Eating whatever food I want! Sleeping without a million pillows!
Post-pregnancy fitness goals? (If any!): Making sure I get outside to walk, hopefully will be ready to start training for a 10k in January. Making sure I eat healthy so I can lose weight, but the holidays will make it hard!
What do you anticipate will be the most difficult part of learning to parent or the hardest adjustment to being a parent?: Sleep deprivation and breastfeeding (agree w/ Mrs.KC on this one!)
Return to work date (if returning!): Will go back full-time around the 1st week of January.
As of now, how many children do you think you will have: Probably 2 maybe 3

@mrsjyw: & @highwire: woot, woot!! Let's get this show on the road! so excited!
All ready for baby and dd is 11 days away but I'm getting my membrane sweep tomorrow and a progress check so I feel maybe I'll go early? I wish. Anyways: I'm bouncing on a labor ball and planning a massage tomorrow so I hope those things help:)

First I just want to say how excited I am to get an update from @jessiejo17: I'm so excited to hear about our first October baby!
@TurtleDoves: Hopefully your sweep will kick start labor!
I'm feeling "off" tonight. I'm hoping it's my body getting ready for labor! I lost 3 pieces of my mucus plug today and I have another doc appt Wed so I'm hoping I have made some major progress. If I don't go into labor by Wed which I doubt I will.

@Mrs.B: yay! exciting! I keep checking for any mucous plug every time I pee, but so far no luck.

Just checking in, Emerson Rhea arrived last night at 11:14 pm. She is a stubborn one that had to be delivered via c-section. She is a chunky monkey at 8 lbs 10 oz, shocked everyone! She is in the NICU now due to respiratory issues and needing antibiotics due to the fever I got while pushing. She is beautiful and I'm in total and complete love! I'll give a better story once I'm not exhausted!

CONGRATS @JESSIEJ017!!! So happy for you :o) Rest up and get better. Will be thinking about little Emerson and that she only has a quick trip to NICU!!!
WOOHOO for our first October Mama on 10/1!!!
