@Mrs.B: if you're having such painful contractions cant they do something to help you dilate so you can get your pain med? (I'm sorry I honestly can't remember if you were planning on the epi or not)

  2. Mrs.B

    clementine / 961 posts

@TurtleDoves: I opted to go home because I was tired of being hooked to the stupid machine. They wouldn't even let me bounce on the birth ball. I'm trying to go med free and my OB doesn't like to intervene unless she has to so I'm left to deal with it. I cannot even imagine what active labor feels like if early labor is this stinking painful.

@Mrs.B: hang in there darling it will get better I promise, so worth it in the end! Thoughts are with you!!

Just wanted to let you all know we are home as a family! Emme was released from NICU at 5 pm tonight. She is sleeping peacefully and doing great! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers, the support we received was amazing! I'll try to get the extended birth story together soon when I have a working brain again!

Seriously....the pelvic pressure is intense. It hurts to walk. This is a miserable feeling! I don't think he could get any lower. The best relief is sitting on the exercise ball. Is anyone else experiencing this super intense pressure?

@Mrs.B: I totally get that.....I feel for you:( I hope real labor heavily and actively kicks in so that you can be done with the pain sooner than later and meet your baby!

@jessie: congratulations on bringing home baby!
@elley: ha.ha.tell.me.about it! Few more days...

I've been obsessed with going into labor but now all of a sudden I don't want it to be tomorrow. I have so many tiny errands to run tomorrow and a few loads of laundry haha...so I hope it happens tomorrow night;) but hey screw the errands if baby does come! But if he doesn't at least I'll get some last min things done.

@TurtleDoves: I almost just texted you but I figured that it was really late where you are lol. Seriously, I don't want to do anything that requires standing up or sitting on anything other than my exercise ball. It huuuuuuurts. I seriously want to be a hermit in my house on my exercise ball tomorrow. The thought of walking anywhere at all before the baby is born is like.... terrifying.

Just a sidenote- I'm totally trying to do everything I can to enjoy these last days of pregnancy! I've been taking pictures of the bump, spending time laying down enjoying baby boy's amazing movements, having relaxing nights with DH, etc. I think it's important!

  11. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@Running Elley: Definitely important to enjoy some quiet, relax time. I feel like I'm running around like a mad woman trying to get things ready. I think the problem is, once I finish things, I start adding more to my list. lol

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: Haha I do too!! Today I sat for awhile trying to think of things to add to my list and for the first time I couldn't think of anything! It kind of made me anxious- I feel like I NEED more on my list.

    Updated ladies

I gave birth to Elia Michelle at 1:14 am! I have a DAUGHTER! Right now DH and Elia are sleeping but of course I'm wide awake. I started having stronger contractions around 10pm got back to the hospital at 10:45 pm was 3cm at check in with contractions every 3 minutes, by 1am I was 10cm and couldn't stop my urge to push. I ended up wanting an EPI SO bad but waited to long and did it all natural. I pushed for less then 5 minutes and have no stiches or tears. I'm glad I waited to long because I ended up getting the birth I had originally wanted. Elia is nursing like a champ and all she seems to want to do is nurse.

@Running Elley: I thought i had pelvic pressure the past 2 weeks. My doc told me it would just get worse. Holy geeze - last night I was like, yep, she was right! I couldn't even walk or sit straight. I definitely wanted to waddle down the street.

@jessiejo17: I'm glad you are all home now and Emme is doing well you must be so happy to finally have your baby home.

@CarrieLouWho: Good Luck! Our LO's will share a birthdate!

Alia is sleeping and DH is on a run home to take care of our other kiddos so I've got some HB time

We decided to change the spelling of DD's name to Alia from Elia. It's basically pronounced the same but DH likes the A sound more then the E sound.

Well, I made it through the last wedding we have this year last night, so now LO can feel free to come whenever he wants! Unfortunately, I still have a pretty strong feeling he's going to be late. Can't wait to see who's next (although I'm pretty sure it will be @Running Elley! ).

9lbs 3oz! You go Mama! Awesome size for Miss Delaney!!!

I don't even want to dare with "who's next" that was two so close together after six days from our first October baby!

    Where are the October boys!!!

Just get me through next three hours without water breaking (early labour is ok!) as I want my turkey dinner!

Our last wedding was also last night, aside from bff's that I am missing Oct 20th We only RSVP'd for ceremony, shortest ceremony ever.....5 minutes or so? It was kind of crazy/not cool, but one of my very longtime friends who I am happy for none the less!!

Look what I made today! My first crochet project I'd dare share with anyone......finally starting to look like something, though I still have a lot to improve on!!!!

Good luck @Running Elley: hope you are progressing well and meet your little man soon!

Here come the boys....! @Mrs Green Grass: had the first October boy, and so much as he wasn't supposed to be an October babe, amazing he is here and hope he progresses well in the NICU and MGG is doing well too

Selfish moment, it is so weird to know two of you, @Mrs.B: & @Running Elley: (due dates after mine) have or are going to have babies. I am still not crazy anxious, sort of more in denial that the time IS here and she could arrive anytime! Holy moly!!!

I had a dream last night that I delivered her in the hospital, but was doing skin to skin in the front seat of our car, DH driving while I nursed for the first time, and he was trying to make it to the dry cleaners by 5. Messed up! I went to bed last night really not feeling well, like just totally unsettled and groggy, I thought for sure something was up, but nothing exciting to report! I think I had a contraction last night! It was just one and felt like a big X across my tummy with barbed wire (lol had to figure out how to describe it to DH) but it was just one, and it hurrrt for the while it stuck around, but it didn't repeat itself, so maybe not.

Holiday here today, so DH is sleeping in, I think we might do pumpkin patch today, and might go to the movies to see Taken 2!
