@wonderstruck: I ended up changing OB's half way through because the staff was not keeping up things and weren't calling me back. I used to work in a doctor's office so I know that the staff is who directs the results and any other information/messages to the doctor so that stinks I had to lose out on someone I liked, but the staff has to provide info to the doctor to provide good care. I like my new doctor and the office so maybe a change will be necessary for you, too. Good luck!

@bushelandapeck: I'm dreading taking all of that stuff out of the attic for that very reason...it all takes up so much space!! We're planning to rearrange our bedroom to try to help accommodate for all the stuff that's going to be scattered all over the place again. And UGH to having to clean it all!

@wonderstruck: Yikes. I can't believe you still haven't heard back from your doctor yet. I didn't realize it's been a full week already. That's nuts!

I had my 30 week check up today, and all is well. I requested a cervix check to make sure I'm not dilated yet, so I can OFFICIALLY tell my boss that I can return to work in Sept. Thankfully, I'm not dilated at all. My doctor also commented that while my cervix is on the smaller end, it is closer to the "typical range" for this point in my pregnancy, so that's comforting. I like the validation from another doctor that the progesterone is doing its job. He also asked if we decided when we wanted to schedule my c-section...which I wasn't expecting. Kinda weird to be able to choose your child's birthday. We were hoping for 10/10 (10 was my husband's hockey number), but he has a conference the 10th-11th, so we have to choose another date. We can pick any date in my 39th week. We are secretly hoping that I go into labor naturally again, so there's still an element of surprise with the birth...only time will tell, I guess.

@bunnylovesbear: The stuff is SO big! Glad your appointment went well and you can return to work as you hoped. How long do you plan on taking off this time? When does week 39 start for you? I was thinking 10/12/14 would be a fun birthday

Sitting at 31w today...feeling hiccups several times a day now which was the same with DS. Such a strange feeling! I can't believe there is only 2 months left! I ordered a couple of things for our stroller today to convert it to a double and made an appointment to have our infant carseat cleared (because I am lazy). Still have to order lighting for the nursery and finish assembling the furniture but I am feeling optimistic that we can get all that done pretty quickly.

I have my glucose test tomorrow - I'm nervous because it's late in the day and I have to go to an office lunch out tomorrow. Also, this is my last week at my old job. I feel so frustrated that my decision to change jobs has gone so poorly (long story short - they misled me about maternity leave, waited until I had quit my job, and then told me that I couldn't have 12 weeks, I could have "whatever the doctor says is medically necessary, typically 6-8 weeks". Plus I have a health insurance nightmare to deal with right around when I deliver.

Things are happening slowly around here. I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable, and more and more movement. I think I may have gone for my last run last weekend - I kept getting BH contractions and it was hard. Sleep is also harder, which sucks because my new job has a way worse commute and I have to leave the house at 7am.

@bushelandapeck: Week 39 begins on 10/7 for me... I'm tempted to just choose our due date as the c-section date in hopes that I'll go into labor beforehand. Lol. I was toying with 10/12/14, but that falls on a Sunday, so I'm not sure if it's actually an option. So now I'm leaning towards the 8th....sooo weird to choose a birthday! My hope is to return to work for the month of Sept. and start my leave on Sept. 29th...if I make it that far, I'll be able to take off all the way through Feb vaca, so I'd return to work on Feb. 23rd. I'll be paid for 40 days and the rest (almost 50 days) will go unpaid. In order for the year to count towards my years for retirement and yearly raise, etc., I need to be in school for at least 90 of the 180 school days...so I plan on being out for 87 days for my leave (give or take a few snow days...) Oh, and where are you getting your carseat cleaned? that's a genius idea!

@Ms.Mermaid: What if you were to get your doctor to say you needed 12 weeks? One of my coworkers was able to extend her paid leave with a doctor's note. (Typically we only get 6 weeks paid for vaginal birth and 8 weeks paid for c-section...anything additional is unpaid).

@bunnylovesbear: I'm due the 8th so I say pick that one I'm getting the seat cleaned through Seat Squad in Boston. They will pick it up and drop it off to me at work which is awesome! It's not too pricey either. Awesome that you can be out until the end of Feb! I'm hoping to negotiate 4-4.5 months off as well. Otherwise, I may not go back.

@Ms.Mermaid: good luck with your test! I say try to eat a lot of protein at lunch and watch the simple arbs and sugar. I failed my one our with DS and I am convinced that it was the honey mustard salad dressing I had at lunch that day.

@bunnylovesbear: wow how amazing you get to choose your LO birthday! Have you opted for a section or are they encouraging it due to your cervix?
@bushelandapeck: I hear you on the hiccups, as cute as it is. I am finding the full tummy jumping for 15 minutes a few times a day, a bit distracting.

I had my 32 week appointment on Monday and baby is head down, not officially engaged but certainly heading that way, really really brought it home that I need to think about getting our bags packed! I also start antenatal classes on Monday at 33 weeks, I'm so looking forward to meeting other moms to be around my area. Only new change, I had to get up last 3 nights to pee in the middle of the night for the first time. Ulgh broken sleep sucks!

@Mrs tartan: I've had c-sections with my previous two pregnancies, so they are recommending I get one this time. With my first, my daughter was breech so a section was necessary. Then with my son, since I had such a great experience with my first, I opted for another c-section. I'm sure I could've tried for a VBAC, but that made me anxious. I'd hate to go through it all just to end up needing another c-section...I'd rather it be planned from the beginning. This time around it wasn't a choice, though.

@bunnylovesbear: what date did you decide?
@cyndistar3: sorry you are sick, is it just the cold?

33 weeks and i had my first antenatal class today, feel much happier about who to call, what to do and where to go. DH came with me and was asking questions and being very involved, I was beaming with happiness at him, I think until now I've been thinking that he wasn't really interested until LO was here. I guess there isn't much he can do apart from the things he has already done like decorate the nursery etc but was nice to see him getting really involved.
This weekend my mission is to pack the bags for hospital, how very real it feels now!

  11. bunnylovesbear

    kiwi / 600 posts

@cyndistar3: Aww man....you're missing your camping trip? What a bummer! What's wrong?

@Mrs tartan: I think we've decided on 10/8/14. My husband likes even numbers, and that will give me a little over a week off from work before the little one arrives...if all goes according to plan. My doc said I could call the office to schedule it, but I have a regular check-up on Friday afternoon, so I figure I'll just schedule it then.

In other news, I leased a minivan today! It was our first major step to prepare for baby #3 and I'm super excited about it. We test drove a couple Honda Odysseys, Toyota Siennas, and and a Chrysler Town & Country. Our favorite was the Odyssey; however, we couldn't resist the price and perks of the Town & Country. It definitely gave us the best "bang for our buck." So on Wednesday afternoon, we'll be picking up our 2014 minivan equipped with black leather seats, navigation, free satellite radio for a year, and dual dvd system...with only 15 miles on it!! And although I will miss my beloved Kia Sorento, I can't wait. Oh, and my MIL is planning to order our crib (on sale) tomorrow, so that's another big step in the right direction!

I got my results back from the glucose test and even though I didn't technically "fail" it, they want me to take the 3 hr test. And now I have zero sick time at my new job to sit in an office and take a 3hr test. I also wish they would tell you whether there is anything you should do before the second test - like, are there dietary changes I should make? I'm not trying to cheat the test, it's just if I have elevated blood sugar, shouldn't I get that under control instead of waiting 2-3 weeks?

We're finally getting to sending out shower invites, but it requires fixing up our registries first. We are doing Buy Buy Baby, Amazon, and an "alternative" registry for people to sign up to bring us dinner, to make us dinner, or to offer to babysit (a lot of our friends are pretty broke, and we don't have a ton of space in our house for *stuff* so this seems to be a good option). Anyone have any suggestions for items to go on the alternative registry? We don't have any pets to ask people to walk or anything like that. I was thinking of putting some handmade things like leg warmers on there for anyone particularly crafty.

@Bunnylovesbear If my doctor says I need twelve weeks, they want to know WHY and they will probably make me get a second opinion unless it's something really severe, like a C-section with a lot of complications. I don't even know that they would give me 12 weeks if I'm having difficulty breastfeeding and the baby is at risk for failure to thrive or something.

Hi Ladies, sorry to be MIA for so long!! I have a huge work project ending in mid-October and with both work and baby deadlines looming over me I barely have time for the internet Our nursery is coming along slowly but surely, I passed the GD test, i opted out of a baby shower and everyone I know is scandalized (LOL), my knee and hips are starting to act up and have nausea once in a while but feeling fine otherwise. That's me in a nutshell!

I'm glad to see everyone is doing well! I can't believe so many of you have less than 8 weeks to go!!!! Wow!

@wonderstruck: did you hear from your dr? Or did you end up changing practices? I can't believe they left you hanging for so long!

@bushelandapeck: Either I don't know how to tell the difference or this baby doesn't hiccup, sounds so cute!

@Ms.Mermaid: I'm sorry about your maternity leave issues, I would be so upset. I am so impressed that you are still running! I feel so lazy, haha Good luck with your 3 hour, I'm sorry you have to still worry about this!

@cyndistar3: Oh no!!! Hope you feel better

@Mrs tartan: how fun! It's sweet when you see your DH engaged isn't it? I know he feels so helpless sometimes when I'm uncomfortable so it's nice when they can feel more involved.

@bunnylovesbear: Congrats on your minivan and choosing a date! It sounds like a good one

@wonderstruck: Wow, it sounds like you've been having a really rough go of it, and I really hope that your healthcare providers buck up and start giving you some of the support that you need. This is all tough enough without having difficult medical providers complicating things!

    @cyndistar3: I hope you're feeling better!

@Mrs tartan: Wow, you're really starting to get close, aren't you? I'll be starting my classes around 33 weeks as well, so it's good to hear that they're useful- lots of my friends have told me to take the classes at the hospital, because at least the information on where to go, where to sign in, etc., is all very calming. And how awesome that DH is getting into everything!

I ended up taking my GD test a few weeks ago, and the office told me that no news was good news- I never got a call, so I'm assuming that I'm good to go! I've got an appointment tomorrow, and I'm sure we'll go over the results.

Is anybody else trying to play the "What's that body part?" game? Baby girl really seems to like wedging her back up against my right side. The right side of my belly will be totally hard and stretched out (sometimes I think she's trying to stand up in there!), but the left side will be normal and softer. It leaves me feeling really weird and lopsided! I still can't tell if she's heads up or down, I'm really hoping that the midwife I see tomorrow can figure that out.

  16. Mrs tartan

    kiwi / 656 posts

@bunnylovesbear: I like the 8th as a date, good choice! My birthday is the 11th October, the midwife tells me they will let me go over by 11 days before induction which would mean getting induced on my birthday. Bleugh, hopefully baby will appear well before then! Did you get your crib ordered?

@Ms.Mermaid: sorry about your test, hopefully you will pass this one with flying colours. With regards to registry, in the UK e don't have baby showers but friends have asked what gifts I would like, one of which is a beauty therapist so I have asked her to do my nails. DH friend builds furniture so he is making us a little wooden seesaw for the garden. Do your friends have any skills you can use rather than them spending money?

@cmbknyc: welcome back and thanks for the update of the calendar, I'm excited to see what I have but also excited to see all the other team greens start to change. Amazed that in the next 7 weeks we will start to see baby pics on here!

@Ms.Pumpkin: yes highly recommend the classes, felt good to be able to ask things and hear answers to questions I hadn't even thought of from other people. I'm also playing that game, my baby is very much a right sider too! Only one time I know for sure it was a foot as I felt toes! I told my mum to feel the toes and she burst out crying, was so cute.

One thing I loved to hear during antenatal class is that in the hospital the midwifes work one to one, so ill have a whole medical person all to myself during labour, I thought it would have been maybe 1:3 or so. I feel great about 1:1.
Where you are will you get 1:1 care?

  17. wonderstruck

@Ms.Mermaid: My doctor had me carb-load before the three hour test. Basically the instructions were to eat lots of carbs for the three days before the test, and then not to eat or drink anything but water starting at midnight the day of the test. He said that if you start making diet changes and cutting out carbs/sugars right before the 3 hour test it can actually cause you to fail, because your body will be much more shocked by the sudden influx of sugar on testing day. From my research that seems to be the standard advice - carb loading for 3 days then fasting from midnight on.

@cmbknyc: @Ms.Pumpkin: Updates on me and my gestational diabetes/doctor issues...a week after failing my 3 hour test I called again and finally they discovered that when the computers went through a recent system change my referral had somehow not processed, so the dietician didn't even know I was waiting for a call! I was pretty angry but have decided not to change practices as long as this doesn't happen again - both the doctor and dietician were very unhappy with the office's nurses and had a serious conversation with them about it and apologized to me.

As far as the gestational diabetes goes, I've been pricking myself 4 times a day for almost a week now - when I wake up, and then after breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's so freaking hard. And the diet sucks. Like, this is a diet that would be hard for me to stick to as a non-pregnant person, let alone someone in my 3rd trimester - I'm hungry all the time! It sucks that right when my morning sickness/hypermesis gravidarum finally died down, I'm stuck on this stupid diet. And unfortunately it doesn't look like the diet is going to be enough to control my numbers - after meals my blood sugar is always fine, but so far no matter what I do it is too high when I wake up. I have a follow-up appointment to go over my numbers tomorrow, and I expect to be told that I need to go on medication, but I'm hopeful that since my numbers are only slightly over (by about 10 points) and only in the morning, I will likely be able to take a pill at night instead of doing the insulin shot.

@cmbknyc: My MIL argued with me for HOURS over my not letting her throw me a sprinkle for this baby, I feel your pain on people being scandalized, haha!

@Mrs tartan: At our hospital the midwives/obgyns are not 1 on 1, but the nurses are. My nurse last time was amazing, I felt so lucky to have her! It's great to have someone there with you the whole time, I can't imagine having to deal with a call button or something during labor.

@Ms.Mermaid: what about help with house cleaning for the "alternative" registry? I know I'd love to be gifted with something like that. I keep asking (begging) my husband to hire a housecleaning service, but he thinks it's silly to pay for something we are capable of doing ourselves...even though we rarely clean! Lol.

@Mrs tartan: aww man! Being induced ON your birthday?! That doesn't sound fun! Maybe if you remind them it's your bday, they'll let you do that a day earlier or later... Although it would be kinda fun to share a bday with your LO. Best bday present ever.

And yes, my MIL ordered the crib last night. I need to check in with her to see when it will be delivered. We're going away next week, so I'm nervous it will be then!

  19. Ms.Pumpkin

    apricot / 435 posts

@wonderstruck: Wow, well at least they've recognized that what happened wasn't ok! And I really hope that this new routine gets easier- I have friends with needle phobias, and I totally understand how it's not that easy to just "get over it," you're doing so amazingly well to be going through that multiple times a day!

@Mrs tartan: Since I go to a practice with multiple doctors, I'll deliver with whoever is on call when I go into labor. The practice is really good about making sure that I see all of the doctors before I deliver, so hopefully it won't be a stranger when I arrive at the hospital! I don't know about Labor & Delivery nurses though, I'll be interested to learn about that!

I also had a conversation with the midwife I saw today about travel in late pregnancy- my practice does not recommend travel more than 1 hour away after 35 weeks. The problem? My commute to the office is a 1.5 hour train ride away! So I'm now trying to figure out how to manage this- I'm really hoping that my office will allow me to start working from home more and more, and to gradually transition to working at home full time around 36-37 weeks. I hope that it all works out!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes! I don't have time at this moment to reply to everyone, there's so much going on right now! I just had my 30 week appointment this morning and everything is still looking good, I am still down 4lbs from my pre prego weight and as far as she could tell baby seems to be head down right now which definitely is a relief!

@bunnylovesbear: Picking your baby's birthday must be an interesting experience... I can't imagine! Stoked on your mini-van, but it looked like your Sorento had plenty of room, too. Why the change?

@Ms.Mermaid: I didn't do anything different to prepare for my three-hour test, and I passed it.

@cmbknyc: I did not opt out of a baby shower, but it is getting a little awkward. I spent a lot of time putting together a registry (Amazon), and from what I can see, hardly anyone I invited is actually utilizing it. It's making me wonder how much out of pocket I'll have to spend to get the items I think I'll need before baby comes. In addition, I had to push the shower date to almost 37 weeks in order to accommodate everyone's schedules... what if I have the baby already?? Thanks for putting the due date list back up... I keep forgetting how many women we have participating, mostly because only a few are active on the board.

@Ms.Pumpkin: I had my 33 week appt yesterday and asked the doctor what he thought the baby was doing in there.... apparently it is head down, with its back along my left side, butt under my ribs, and knees and feet kicking out at my right side. After asking him, I spent a lot of time last night trying to familiarize myself with what the body parts feel like under my skin... weird!

@wonderstruck: I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. I'm hoping the baby is worth it! What is the diet like?

@Mrs tartan: My hospital has 1:2 care during the early parts of labor, then 1:1 care during active labor through birth. I'll have to deliver with whoever is on-call, but there are only two obgyns in the practice, and I've worked with both of them, so it'll be fine.

@Ms.Pumpkin: Is the concern about travel that if you go into labor, you won't get to your care facility in time? Is it possible to scout out optional care facilities en route to work?

    My updates:
Baby is head down, but laying with its back to my side. It is pretty uncomfortable when I'm trying to sleep, and a barrage of kicks happen all on my right side.

We finished all four child-birth preparation classes at the hospital (albeit, it was a different hospital from the one I am giving birth at... I couldn't fit that hospital's course in my schedule). It was interesting to see how the other hospital approaches birth... it seemed very medicalized. For example, at the other hospital, as soon as you check in, you are not allowed to eat any solid foods, only clear liquids. At my hospital, you can eat all the way up to active labor. The other hospital will allow you to labor in any position, but give birth in a semi-squat position only, whereas my hospital will allow you to labor or birth in whatever way you choose (unless you request perineal massage, then you have to adjust your body so that the doctor/nurse can get fingers in there). The other hospital will do skin-to-skin an hour AFTER a c-section, whereas my hospital will do skin-to-skin immediately after a c-section. The birthing rooms at the other hospital are small, as are the recovery rooms, with your partner sleeping on a fold out chair or couch, whereas my hospital has queen-sized beds in the recovery room, so your partner can sleep with you. I'm glad we did the course at the other hospital, because now I won't be wondering "what if?". (We only have two hospitals on Kaua`i.)

We have all of the big things we need to take care of a baby, but we still don't have any diapers, wipes, or clothing. I'm sure that will be taken care of at the shower, but the uber planner in me is still really uncomfortable with having things I still need to check off.

The doctor asked if I had experienced any contractions, and in all honesty, I can't tell. A lot of people have described contractions this early in pregnancy to feel like "pressure" or "tightening" of the stomach, and the few times I've felt that have also coincided with the baby moving all its limbs at once... so who knows! Other people have described the feeling like menstrual cramps, but the only time I feel cramping is when I swim or walk for a long time.

Is anyone else's feet/ankles swelling up? Mine look ridiculous!

@mrskoloa: I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow and my feet and ankles have been swelling for a couple of weeks now, but lately they look worse. It's probably because I'm on my feet a lot at work but my toes look like Vienna sausages! And they burn after a while of walking and standing. Ughhhh

@bunnylovesbear: exciting about the new van! We are in the market for something larger as well but haven't had a chance to go and look at anything in person yet. We need to get a move on it! Lol. Psyched you picked 10/8 for the birthday! Its my due date and I'm hoping that's when she'll make an appearance. I love even numbers

@Ms.Pumpkin: I hear you on the long commute. Mine is 1-1.5hrs as well but I wasn't told anything about limiting travel last time with DS so I don't expect anything different this time. I work in a hospital so if I had to deliver during work hours, I would be all set!

@mrskoloa: If I remember right, most people didn't buy things off my registry last time until shortly before the shower. Hopefully that will be the case for you and you will get everything you need before the birth. I totally understand wheeling anxious about not having things now though. Even though DS was in our room for the first 5.5 months, I still want to have this baby's room finished in the next few weeks just so I can stop stressing over it! My feet have been a little swollen this week with the heat mad extra time on my feet. I'm trying to put them up as much as possible but that's nearly impossible with a 2 yr old to chase around!

We are on our two night baby moon/anniversary weekend without DS right now. It's my first time being away from him for more than one night. So far I've worked out, had coffee, read my book, and gone on HB! I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow and Sunday and also having a pedi and a prenatal massage tomorrow. Life is good!

@mrskoloa: do you ever get a feeling where it feels like baby is all balled up inside and maybe pushing his/her back/bum out the way? I had no idea that was exactly what a braxton hick contraction feels like until it happened in front of my midwife, I thought it was just baby but she told me to feel my lower tummy and it was really hard all over, not just in one area.
That's the only way I know it's a contraction, if my tummy is hard all over and not just where baby is.
It's just my fingers that are swelling, wearing my wedding ring is getting difficult

@mrskoloa: there are plenty of seats in the Sorrento. The problem is that in order to utilize the 3rd row seating, you need to fold down the second row....which can't be done with two car seats installed. So my 13yr old will be stuck in the backseat between two car seats or she'd have to climb through the back of the car. Haha. And there'd be no rooms for her friends. I'm LOVING the minivan, though. I feel surprisingly cool in it...haha!

@bushelandapeck: ooh a kid-free babymoon/anniversary getaway! How fun! Where'd you go? Up north? We're leaving for Lake Winnie tomorrow afternoon, and I'm super excited for a little family trip before the new LO arrives.

@Mrs.Panda: Yeah, the swelling is really weird. Mine isn't painful so much as just unattractive and noticeable. I try to elevate my feet when I can, but what does that even mean? Elevate my feet above my heart? How can I comfortably do that without spending too much time on my back? I've tried laying on my side on the couch, with my feet on top of the couch, but it's not too comfy. I ask my husband sometimes to rub my feet and ankles (and by ask, I mean complain about my swelling to the point where he is guilted into rubbing them haha) and that seems to have some effect, but he isn't home every night due to work, and it's hard to elevate AND reach my feet myself.

@bushelandapeck: You are beautiful! Your body looks SO trim! I just need to get over the registry already. Most of the stuff on there is WANT and not NEED, really. I hope you are enjoying your massage... I go to the chiropractor every three weeks (as preventative care) and get a 30 minute massage before my adjustment every time. I have had literally no back pain this entire pregnancy, while it seems most other girls I know here complain about back pain all the time.

@Mrs tartan: If that's what that feeling is, then YES I HAVE been feeling some contractions! Crazy! My ring finger has been swollen for a few weeks now; I bought a fake ring to wear and put my real one in the safe.

@bunnylovesbear: Minivans are the way to go, seriously. You can do SO MUCH in them, and they have so many features these days. Your swag-wagon!

I compiled my 5, 6, 7, and 8 month photos. Can you guess between which months we went on our babymoon to the East Coast? haha!

@mrskoloa: thank you!! You look great as well I swear I'm a lot bigger this time around but I haven't dug out the old photos to compare. I will have to do that soon! And a massage every 3 weeks?! Sounds heavenly I've had two so far and two more are scheduled before the end so my back has been feeling pretty good, thankfully.

@bunnylovesbear: That's awesome that you know your baby's birthday, how exciting! And yay for a minivan, I love my swagger wagon We also have a town and country, it's older but I love it. Being able to open doors with a push of a button is the best lol.

@Ms.Pumpkin: I am always trying to guess the baby part, its so hard sometimes even though this is my third! My midwife says she is pretty sure she is head down so I think she keeps punching my bladder and cervix hahaha.

@mrskoloa: Yay for baby being head down, that is always a good thing! I wouldn't worry about the registry not being used yet, I didn't have anyone buy anything off of mine until like a week before my shower. Your baby bump looks awesome by the way

@bushelandapeck: Yay for baby moon, you are looking great! And don't worry, I almost never make my bed

So far no swelling over here, we are supposed to be leaving for California in a week if everything goes well. I have to get my ferritin levels checked again at my next appointment because last time they were super low. I have been getting a ton of Braxton Hicks contractions and my pubic bone has been killing me!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

@wonderstruck: glad to hear they were apologetic! I'm sorry you're going through this but you are SO strong!!!

@cyndistar3: Glad everything is looking good!

@mrskoloa: I feel the same way! We have somewhere for baby to sleep, diapers, a few sleepers and that's about it for essentials. Fingers crossed you receive all that you need well before baby comes

@bushelandapeck: Hope you're having a great babymoon and got lot's of relaxing in!

@bushelandapeck: @mrskoloa: you both look amazing!!!

I've been lucky with the swelling (knock on wood) but messed up my knees somehow so getting around via subway has been a challenge. Also turns out I'm anemic so I'm popping the iron pills which hasn't been too bad. Baby is also head down and measuring right on target so very happy that she seems to be well. I can't believe how time is flying now!!! I have a LONG checklist of to do's that suddenly feels like it's piling on.

    @cyndistar3: @cmbknyc: Thanks ladies!

The babymoon was lovely. So nice not to have to get up at a certain time (ie: when your toddler tells you to) and to relax and read or workout without any time limits. I had an amazing manicure and prenatal massage and am feeling very refreshed back at work today.

@cmbknyc: I am anemic too, my hemoglobin is back up thanks to the iron pills I've been taking since around 11 weeks but my iron stores were basically non existent so we have to draw blood to check that at my next appointment

@mrskoloa: for sure that's what it is, I never would have recognised it either if I wasn't told.
@bushelandapeck: @mrskoloa: lovely bump pics, it's to funny to look back at the 4/5 month ones and see us comparing how "huge" we were! Look at us all now!
This is my 34 week bump (actually 33+6 today) but it shouldn't change much in the next 24 hours

@Mrs tartan: You look great! 34w already! I really can't believe how fast the last month or two has gone by. I feel like I still have so much to do!

@bushelandapeck: sounds amazing! I need to book a prenatal massage and mani/pedi stat.

@cyndistar3: ugh I am so sorry, what a pain! So far I only feel super tired but that just might be pregnancy related and nothing to do with anemia.

@Mrs tartan: You look gorgeous!! Perfect bump and so true! I'm a whale compared to 20 weeks lol.

Ugh, I was informed today that they would like to induce me at 39 weeks due to slight hypertension that existed before the pregnancy. This really bums me out. I really had hopes for a natural/unmedicated birth and figured that if they waited to induce until 40 weeks I'd have a better chance of that happening. I need to start researching natural induction methods asap, I know acupuncture, primrose oil etc but I'm going to try it ALL!

@cmbknyc: Oh I am super tired again too! The way I knew I was low on iron was how no matter what I did it felt like I wasn't getting enough oxygen which left me light headed and dizzy, I was also having heart palpitations I had the same issue with my last pregnancy as well. I am sorry to hear about the hypertension, hopefully you won't need to be induced though

@bushelandapeck: thank you. I know, it's funny it feels like the longest and the shortest 8 months I've ever had. I can't wait to finish work at the end of next week so I can really concentrate on that to-do list that's growing by the day!
@cmbknyc: thank you. That's not great news, but by 39 weeks you might be more than ready to get baby out what date does that mean you will get induced? Will you still be an October mumma?

I had my second antenatal class today. 2 hours of breast feeding chat. Ulgh felt like overkill. I'm definitely going to try bf but if it doesn't work out then I'm fine with it, will not be putting pressure on myself and baby if we can't get to grips with it within a few weeks. The midwife and health worker taking the class were treating formula feeding/bottles and dummies like the devil. I really was not keen in their approach to the class. Infact one of them said "one formula feed can strip all the goodness coating from inside your babies belly and undo all the breast feeding good work you have done" surely that can't be right that one formula feed wipes out all breast feeding antibodies!? I daren't have said anything, they were so pushy.

Are you all planning to breastfeed? Ps this is a non judgement question, I don't care how you feed your baby as long as you feed your baby
