@Mrs.Panda: Good luck on the scan today!
OMG, ladies, can I just say how much I miss the 2nd trimester? I didn't know how good I had it until it was gone!
Sleep has been such a struggle (doesn't help that my jerk of a cat has decided to wake us up at 2am for the past 3 nights running), and my pelvis is really starting to feel the effects of the extra weight & hormones. This past week at work has been tough, and I'm just wondering how I'm going to get through the next 6 weeks if I feel like I've hit a wall now!
I feel so awful for complaining, since I am so grateful for a healthy baby and a relatively easy pregnancy so far, but yeah. I'm just so tired.

@Ms.Pumpkin: I actually had my scan on Tuesday and everything looks fine thanks for asking though! And I feel you on hitting the wall and I'm only just shy of 32 weeks. This 12 hour shift stuff is for the birds.

@Ms.Pumpkin: Oh I hear you on the sleep thing, my pelvis has been hurting so bad at night lately so I wake up a lot at night
Eta: holy goodness I just realized I probablu only have 4 appointments left and that's if I actually make it to 40 weeks this time!
apricot / 435 posts
@Mrs.Panda: Haha, that's what my pregnancy brain is getting me these days! So glad to know that everything's looking good for you guys though! I can't imagine pulling down 12 hour shifts! With my commute factored in, I'm away from home 12 hours a day, but about 3 hours of that is zoning out on the train... having to actually be focused and working for 12 solid hours sounds brutal!
@cyndistar3: I know- I asked my OB about it the other day at my appt, and I told her that when I stand up from sitting, it doesn't feel like my legs attach to my pelvis properly anymore... she just said, "That's about right!" And you've made me realize that I've only got 5 appointments left! Holy buckets, we are nowhere near ready!
At least my day got a little easier after my little breakdown this morning, I managed to get through my work day, and I managed to scrounge up some decent leftovers for dinner, so I didn't have to pull something together from scratch- victory!
Anyone have any good weekend plans? For those of us Stateside, it's a holiday weekend! In celebration of Labor Day, we're going to be attending our first childbirth prep class, which I think is pretty appropriate, lol!

@bushelandapeck: Thank you! This week has just been teacher days, but the kiddos return next Tuesday. I cannot even believe it's "back-to-school" time already! This summer flew by....along with this pregnancy! How am I already 33 weeks?!
@mrskoloa: That's a great idea! The email I use for fb is kerryb22 at gmail dot com
@Ms.Pumpkin: No major long weekend plans here... Although we ARE going to the Tom Petty concert at Fenway Park Saturday night. I'm looking forward to it, but I can't help but think I'm a little crazy for trying to tackle this when I'll be nearly 34 weeks pregnant with a shortened cervix! Lol.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@Ms.Pumpkin: Yeah I'm at work right now and it's been a rough night. Usually busy nights go by quickly but this one has been dragging along while it's been so crazy! So ready for my bed but my AC is out again at the house. It's not been a good week.
@bunnylovesbear: I know I kind of feel like this pregnancy had both sped and crawled by, depending on the day. I'm 32 weeks on Saturday.

@Ms.Pumpkin: I hear ya on the tiredness, my pelvis has been killing me, I got diagnosed with spd at 26 weeks so now it's unbearable when turning over in bed. Plus I need to pee at least once in the night. Pffft I did not appreciate the second trimester enough! Weekend plans, nothing much. We had a evening wedding reception tonight, was awful trying to find something nice to wear. I think DH and I will go swimming tomorrow.
Today was my last day at work im now officially on maternity leave. Ill be 36 weeks on Monday, how exciting/terrifying! Next appointment is at 38 weeks.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@Mrs tartan: I'm so jealous you're on maternity leave! I'm working up until the end 8ish more weeks ugh. But hopefully you can use this time to finish getting prepared!
I had to call out of work tonight because my air conditioning is STILL out and I haven't really slept in 3 days. I hate using my PTO for that but there was no way.
cherry / 242 posts
@Mrs tartan: Maternity leave already!!! How exciting! You're going to get so much relaxing done; I'm jealous! I am planning on working until I give birth. My job isn't physically demanding, so I feel confident that I'll be able to hack it. I'm surprised your next appointment isn't until 38 weeks--here once you hit 35 weeks you go to weekly appointments.
pomegranate / 3980 posts
@Mrs.Panda: Oh I would certainly die if I had no air conditioning, I have been hiding in my house with it all summer!
My appointments get funky at the end, I had my 32 week one then I will have a 34, 36, 37 and a 40 if I get to 40 weeks. It's kind of strange but oh well I guess there's not a whole lot that can be done in that time anyways but wait.
kiwi / 656 posts
@Mrs.Panda: @mrskoloa: hats off to you for working right until the end! I don't think I could have made it much longer, the driving to work was so awful. Changing gear with spd make me want to drive along the motorway in 2nd gear
@mrskoloa: I was also surprised, it was 35,38,40 and 41. Really hoping I don't need that last one!
How's everyone's hormones been? Any rages/bursts of crying?
I cried yesterday as I could find a dress that I didn't look like a tent in, for the wedding reception. I also cried last week as DH hadn't tried to bd with me that week and I was convinced it was because I'm unattractive. He tells me it was because I had been grunting about how sore I was that he left me alone...I'm still not sure, I know it can't be super hot seeing your wife waddling about the house. Haha.
cherry / 242 posts
@Mrs tartan: yeah, my sexual self-esteem is at an all-time low. My usual go-to positions don't work for me anymore, and I feel like the positions that DO work mechanically don't work for me orgasmically. Frustrating! And the idea of a six-week long period is making me even more concerned!
kiwi / 600 posts
@Mrs tartan: @mrskoloa: That doesn't even cross my mind!! We've been stuck on "pelvic rest" for the bulk of this pregnancy, so my poor husband is used to it by now. Even though it's technically not allowed, we're definitely due for a little romp. Lol.
@Mrs tartan: Super jealous of your maternity leave! I've had the whole summer off (teacher), so I head BACK to work on Tuesday at 34 weeks...we'll see how long I last, but I'm hoping to get 4 weeks in. I think I'm nuts. Lol.
I was supposed to have my 33-week check up on Friday, but they had to reschedule it for next Wednesday. Hoping the cervix check goes alright...otherwise, I'll be forced to stop working. I'd really rather not have to stop this early (as nice as that would be!).
So I totally went on a baby shopping spree today...which totally makes things seem real. Not only was our crib delivered today, but my Mom took me to Babies R Us to get everything else we needed. So we got two carseats (one for me, one for my mom), a Moby wrap (not sure if this was a wise purchase...it's looks so confusing, but I couldn't justify her spending $120+ on the Ergo), bottles and replacement nipples, pacifiers, crib sheets, mattress pads, and a free video monitor and gate! I think the only thing we have left to purchase is the crib mattress! I wasn't sure if my MIL bought one or not, but when I got home, only a crib was delivered. No complaints, though. The only thing I've spend money on so far is a box of diapers!!

@Mrs tartan: @mrskoloa: DTD is absolutely the last thing I want to do...but that's not limited to this pregnancy unfortunately. I feel like it's been like this since I was pregnant with my son. Nothing real feels "the same" anymore. Not to scare anyone though, a lot of it is my insecurities I'm sure. DH is eager as ever and I end up conceding just because I know I should. Ugh. Hopefully it will get better eventually.
Nothing too exciting going on here. My mom is throwing me a "sprinkle" in 3 weeks and the nursery is coming along. Here are a couple of pics of it halfway finished from earlier this week.

@bushelandapeck: oh wow! I love the built-ins! Was that a new project or were they always there?!
Crib assembly didn't happen today, so I'm going to bug my husband to get it done tomorrow. The giant box has been brought upstairs to the nursery...so that's the first step!
pomelo / 5720 posts
@bunnylovesbear: new project For Mother's Day DH hired a designer to help me plan out the nursery an redo our LR. We are just about finished with both rooms at this point. The built ins in the nursery will be finished on Tues. Just need to put things in the right places, change a light fixture, and buy a couple more things and we should be all set! It is much more elaborate than DS room but we will eventually be making his room over when he moves to a toddler bed and will do more to his then.
@mrskoloa: thank you!!
apricot / 435 posts
@bushelandapeck: That is amazing! I love built-in shelving and furniture. We're not in our forever/long-term home though, so it's not really worth the investment for us to do that kind of work. Maybe someday!
So, it is actually September. OMG. I knew this already, but had a realization that we are having babies NEXT MONTH. Aaaaaah!
Now to get the nursery together, and to clean up the darn house! My mom & sister are throwing a BBQ for us in lieu of a baby shower (gifts are optional, since we juuust had a wedding, and it feels totally gift-grabby to be asking for gifts again so soon), so this is really an excuse to hang out with people before we go into new-baby exhaustion & seclusion.
But the only weekend that works for my Mom is when I'm going to be 36 weeks, and we're going to have to host at our house. DH is less than thrilled with this arrangement, but at least it will give me motivation to get the house cleaned up before the baby gets here, and my Mom has offered to hire a cleaning service for us, so we don't have to do any of the deep cleaning.
I could try to come up with a different plan for this thing, but I'm just too tired.
kiwi / 656 posts
@bunnylovesbear: how was your first day back at work?
@bushelandapeck: gorgeous nursery! What is a sprinkle? Is that another name for baby shower?
@Ms.Pumpkin: I also had this terrifying realisation that its September, yesterday being the first was exactly a month until my due date, feels incredibly real now!@mrskoloa: this must feel very unreal for you as your baby is due at the end of this month!!
No real news from me, loving being off work. Wrote my birth plan today and tomorrow I've been invited to lunch with 7 local women with babies ranging from 1 week to 4 months, I don't really know them that well apart from to say hello to, so would normally run in the opposite direction of such an event however I feel I need to make some mummy friends so I'm going to force myself to go. One of the girls is also still pregnant due next week so at least Im not the only one without my baby either.
cherry / 242 posts
@bushelandapeck: Hiring a designer... fancy!
@Ms.Pumpkin: Why doesn't he want it at your house? That's awesome that your mom offered to hire the cleaning service. Most parties here are outdoors, so no cleaning needed, really... except for the bathrooms! Just hire some tables, benches, and tents
@Mrs tartan: I think a sprinkle is a smaller version of a baby shower, usually given when someone already has had a child. I think it's called a sprinkle because you don't need as much of the big things, assuming that you've kept a lot of stuff from your previous child(ren). I think making mom friends sounds smart... there's several girls I know giving birth all in the next month or so, so hopefully we'll be able to connect. Giving birth this month seems surreal! I am worried I'll go into labor early, considering my mom was two weeks early with me, and one of my girlfriends was one week early this past weekend.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Ms.Pumpkin: Thanks! Yes, we are probably going to be here for a long while which is the reason I decided to go ahead with the built-ins. I was nervous but we love how they came out!
@Mrs tartan: Thank you! Here a sprinkle is a smaller version of a baby shower, for when you already have children and don't really need all the things you needed the first time. I didn't want one but my mother insisted, so I told her no gifts, but freezer meals are always welcome Meeting new moms sounds like a great idea. I have met some of my best girl friends since having my son and it is SO nice to have the support.
@mrskoloa: lol. Yes, very fancy I had been complaining about the state of our living room furniture for a few years and, after having a miscarriage last year, DH was super excited to plan this nursery, It was a very sweet gesture. I think he may be kicking himself no though, given how expensive it has ended up being. Haha.

@bushelandapeck: wow...totally jealous!! It's looking fantastic so far. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I had my Mom bring her contractor to the house to get a quote on updating out kitchen and finishing off our back porch to make it a living room....but instead they went through the whole house and basically want to plan a entire home reno! As fabulous as that would be, we don't exactly have 100k lying around! She's nuts.
@Ms.Pumpkin: we're also in cleaning mode. I completely emptied out my closet and dresser this past weekend...it's long overdue and I'm still not done yet. I prob should've gotten motivated BEFORE going back to work full time. Oops. I'd love to hire someone to do a deep house cleaning before baby time...
@Mrs tartan: first day back was a blur!! The day flew by, but I have a great group of kiddos. Today was even better. Felt like we actually got some stuff accomplished. Thanks for asking!
So I had my 34 week checkup today, and all is well. I got to hear the heartbeat, as usual, which I love. I think I gained a bit more weight than I expected since my last visit, but I'm not too worried about it. Everyone at work keeps commenting that I'm all belly and that I don't even look pregnant from behind,'so the way I see it is that there's no need to dwell on the 33lbs I've already gained...lol. Heartbeat was 130bpm, which (I think) according to the old wives tales means boy. I've been "feeling" more girl lately, but who knows! They did another cervix check today, and I'm almost 1cm dilated. The nurse didn't seem too concerned, so I'm still in the clear to work and they will follow up with me in another 2 weeks. Can't believe we are in the home stretch!!

I feel like the third trimester flipped a pain/discomfort switch and I've just been so uncomfortable lately. Last night, getting into bed, everything just hurt. I'm getting these weird twinges that aren't quite braxton hicks contractions, it's just that my whole stomach feels tight and distended right around my belly button. I also get a lot of pain around my lower right hand side. I'm trying to drink more water because I haven't been drinking enough lately.
I had to do the three-hr glucose test over the weekend and I tested positive for gestational diabetes, at least according to my old practice (I see my new midwife today) and I'm kinda freaked out.
I've been at my new job three weeks now and I really like it. The commute is a little tiresome but not too bad and the work is interesting and a lot of the folks I work with have kids so they are super sympathetic about things and really excited for me. One woman asked me if I was due tomorrow, but she apparently asked my other coworker if she was sure it wasn't twins, constantly.
We started childbirth class last night, but it was sort of just the basics of nutrition/exercise/labor and then we did some relaxation exercises but they had us lie on the floor and I could not get comfortable so I had a hard time with the exercises. Anyone else doing childbirth class?
pomelo / 5720 posts
@bunnylovesbear: renovations are SO costly. I would love to update our kitchen a bit but it probably won't happen for a while. We had a budget for the LR and nursery and have gone slightly over it with miscellaneous expenses, like fabric and curtains. I wish I knew how to sew! Glad your first week of work is going well!
@Ms.Mermaid: I hear you on feeling like pregnancy got harder overnight. I've been battling a cold of the past week and haven't been able to breathe at night or get comfortable. It totally sucks. I'm ready to not be pregnant but not ready for a newborn and a toddler! Lol.
No childbirth classes this time for us. We did them with DS 2 years ago and I *think* I remember enough to get by. At least I hope I do!
kiwi / 656 posts
@mrskoloa: I also keep thinking I'm going to go early, I don't know why, no medical staff have suggested it. Perhaps I'm just ready and hoping!
@bunnylovesbear: I've also heard that if you can't tell you are pregnant from behind then it's likely a boy. There are so many old wives tales though! Glad all is ok at work too, how exciting to be dilated already, you are already 1/10 done
@Ms.Mermaid: sorry you are sore, perhaps it's round ligament pain, I hated that! We had child birth class 3 weeks ago, apart from going through the pro and cons of all pain relief, I didn't feel it was all that helpful. I actually had 3 antenatal classes, I don't feel any better prepared after them.
Yesterday my meeting with local mums was great, I was handed lots of babies, smallest was now 9lb and still seemed so tiny and fragile, I think I have forgotten how little a newborn baby is!
kiwi / 745 posts
@Mrs Tartan my MIL told me over the weekend she thinks it's a boy because you can't tell I'm pregnant from behind and I've only gained weight in my stomach. (I'm sure she was not looking for me to correct her and complain about the amount of weight I gained in my thighs and how none of my old running shorts fit, but I went ahead and did that anyway because whining is my jam these days.)

@mrskoloa: Haha, he's not into it because we're basically hermits. We go to parties at other people's houses, but he's pretty private, and we really only have people over a few times a year. He's just going to have to get over it, though- a new baby in the house means we're going to be having visitors for quite some time!
@bunnylovesbear: Oh, I hear you on the cleaning thing. I keep waiting for this "nesting energy" that all the pregnancy calendars keep talking about... but I'm still just feeling kind of slug-like, lol.
@Ms.Mermaid: Yeah, it was kind of like the 3rd trimester was a switch that got flipped on really suddenly- just feeling creakier and more uncomfortable, and now getting things off of the floor is more difficult. Half the time when I drop something, I spend a minute thinking about just saying F-it and leaving it there! I'm sorry to hear about the GD test, hopefully your new practice will give you some reassuring information & support!
We've got our second childbirth class this weekend, and I think it'll at least be helpful in getting a tour of Labor & Delivery under our belts so we know what to expect when we get to the hospital. It's also a good format for DH, as that's how he learns best (I don't think that books or websites would be all that interesting for him), and the teacher is really focused on how partners can be involved and helpful, so that's nice!
I think that we are one of the older/oldest couples there, though. Until one other couple walked in, I was convinced that I was the ONLY pregnant woman in her 30s there! But that's probably just my own insecurities talking.
cherry / 242 posts
@Ms.Mermaid: We did childbirth classes in July and August... there were four classes. The first one sounded like your first class; the second class had to do with anesthesia, the third one had an obstetrician come in to talk about c-sections, and the last one had a pediatrician come in to talk. I enjoyed it. We did some breathing exercises, too. People tell me that I look all-belly, too, but I know that's not the case. My neck-face is so fat now! But yeah, I've been getting a lot of "it must be a boy" type comments... I think it might be a girl though.
@bushelandapeck: Learn to sew! I just used youtube videos!
@Mrs tartan: I initially didn't want to go early, but now I really kind of do. I am at that "over it" stage of pregnancy I think, where I'm over working. I really want to stay home as long as possible, but absolutely have to go back to work Jan. 12.
@Ms.Pumpkin: My husband is the same; total recluse. I, too, am waiting for my crazy nesting stage... Then again I regularly clean my house, and I did prep some freezer meals over the weekend, so maybe I'm nesting and I just can't tell any different?

@Ms.Mermaid: yes definitely more uncomfortable at almost 33 weeks. Can't imagine how you ladies who are farther along than me feel!

@mrskoloa: jan 12th is your day back to work, so you will have max 3 months? You are my hero working tight until the end and back so soon. Where is baby going when you are back to work? I'm off until July, I thought that was quite soon as a year is normal here.
@Mrs.Panda: yeah I figure everyone is different body shape wise so I've no idea how some of these tales can be believed. The midwife told me that if the heartbeat sounds like a horse it's a girl but a train is a boy and then anything above 145bpm was a girl. Baby's heartbeat was 130 and sounds like a horse galloping, she couldn't even guess!
Today I'm starting to take raspberry leaf tablets, they strengthen your uterus so can help your labour go faster, I haven't been allowed to take them until week 36 as can start labour early so here goes! I'm also putting my car seat in the car today and will finalise hospital bags too.
As for nesting, I like to clean anyway so I haven't noticed much difference apart from I've washed and dried and folded all of babies clothes, of which there are hundreds!

@Mrs tartan: when I go back, my husband is going to take off until the beginning of March, then a sitter I suppose. Hopefully a sitter with more than one charge so our baby can get some socialization. I'm envious that you've got all your things set. I have my hospital bag packed and the car seat ready, but my shower isn't until this Sunday, so ice been hesitant to wash anything until I see what all we receive as gifts.

Some bags are packed already? Guess I need to get motivated! I bought some comfy nightgowns from Target to use at the hospital the other day. My biggest hospital regret last time around was not changing out of those giant hospital gowns sooner. I think I waited til my 3rd or 4th day with my DS, and once I made the switch I felt sooo much better. We got a new infant carseat last weekend, but I still want to wait a couple weeks before putting it into our car.
Well, I'd write more but I'm totally pooped after my first week back at work. Hope all is well!

@mrskoloa: I hope your shower went well! Can't wait to hear about it.
@bunnylovesbear: No bags packed here but I did have the carseat cleaned and it's sitting in the car, waiting to be installed I figure I will probably pack my bag the weekend before my due date, or at least get things washed and know where they are. lol.
I did wash all of the 0-3 months baby clothes and put them away yesterday though. I'm washing cloth diapers now and hope to have those organized this week. Waiting on the cushion for the bench and need to buy something to hang on the walls, and that's it! I'm definitely waddling today as I overdid it with the exercise and walking yesterday. Ugh. Hard to imagine still having another month to go!
cherry / 242 posts
@bushelandapeck: It was nice. Surprisingly nice. I know showers are supposed to be thrown FOR you, but with my husband being gone several nights of the month for work, and me being a naturally busy person, I put together the majority of the decor and the arts/crafts stations for the party.
Basically we had the party at a pavillion at a local golf course overlooking the ocean. I decorated with some things I had seen on pinterest and been meaning to try like pennant bunting, ribbon garland, giant balloons with tissue paper garlands, those yarn string globes... then I set up three craft stations. One was an ABC book station, where I had created templates of pages of an ABC book and people could create that page in the book, to be bound later. Another was a onesie/bib decorating station with iron-on decals, iron-on letters, and fabric pens. The last station had people hot gluing geometric spheres to be made into a mobile and hung in the baby's room. I also had a little advice book with various topics floating around the party that people could fill out at whim.
For food we had different kinds of salads, fruits, wontons, lumpia (pork and also banana), and different types of sliders (turkey, pulled pork, etc), followed by cake or cupcakes if people chose.
There were also some games, as organized by my step-sister-in-law; we played one where you have to pull clothespins off of a line with one hand, change and clothe a baby with one hand, eat/feed each other applesauce blindfolded, drink apple juice from a baby bottle, etc.
I think overall the party was a success... there were lots of things for participants to do or watch depending on their interests; we received a ton of clothes and two tons of blankets (what am I going to do with all of these blankets?!), and I only need to return a few things.
Unfortunately I didn't take any photos myself as my phone was being used for Pandora, and I didn't designate anyone to take photos for me, so that's my one regret. Also, I had to purchase the things from my registry that weren't purchased, which was a chunk of change (but I'm thinking the returns and the cash gifts will offset that).
Now I'm panicking out a little bit because I have all of this stuff and no idea what to really do with it. For example, I have an amazing diaper bag, but don't know what to put in it! I have tons of diapers from diaper cakes, but don't know what size they are!
Anyways, here's a little picture...
pomelo / 5720 posts
@mrskoloa: The onesies are adorable! Sounds like you did an amazing job putting it all together! And yes, that cake is terrifying! lol.
As for the diaper bag...In the beginning, I always had an outfit or two for baby, bib, burp cloth, diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer (always need that) changing pad (if the bag doesn't already have one), breast pads (you will leak when you least expect it), nipple cream, and a small clutch to put my wallet, cell phone, keys, etc inside so you I didn't lose them in the diaper bag. I also carried snacks for me because I was always famished from breast feeding.

@bushelandapeck: well, I took my bag out of the closet...so that's one step in the right direction. I also bought some comfy new pjs to bring to the hospital, so those are in the Target bag waiting to be packed in my hospital bag. Haha. I should probably send my husband up to the attic to find our 0-3 month clothes...I'll have to sort through them to find all the neutral yellow and green stuff. That's the one downfall of being Team Green....I have NO IDEA if I have clothes for the new baby! Lol.
So today I emailed my boss to let him know I think he should start looking for my maternity coverage...well, actually, the coverage for the paraprofessional that will be taking over for me...because I'm not very confident that I'm going to last to the end of the month. Today was our first full day of school doing all academics and like real teaching, and I joked as I was leaving that I felt like I needed to hold my thighs together as I was walking down the hall to leave to prevent the baby from falling out! Haha. Obviously, I was just joking, but there was lots of pressure this afternoon, and I have a feeling at my next checkup (9/15) they may tell me it's time for official bed rest. Guess only time will tell...
@mrskoloa: Yikes at that cake!! It is hilariously terrifying! Otherwise, it's all looking great. I especially like the line of onesies people created. I think the iron-ons were a great idea; they make the clothes look less arts-and-craftsy. And ditto on @bushelandapeck's suggestions for the diaper bag.

@bunnylovesbear: How was the concert? With my first pregnancy I went to a Taylor Swift concert at 38 weeks and let me tell you, I got some looks traipsing down all the stairs to get down to my floor seats - I think people were worried I was about to go into labor in the middle of the concert, haha! It was totally worth it though.
I can tell pregnancy brain is getting to me, because I keep going to respond to individual people and my brain gets all scrambled about what I'm saying to who. So I offer my scrambled thoughts - WOW at those built-ins, that looks so nice! We're making progress on our nursery - walls and the dresser are painted (I'll attach a pic of what we did with the dresser), dresser, shelving, and toy box are assembled, and 99% of the stuff has been purchased. I just need to put all the baby stuff away and do a bit more baby-proofing so I can boot big brother out of the crib (god, I feel mean typing that! I really hope it goes well.)
I haven't packed my hospital bag yet. I need to get some new comfy nightgowns since the ones from last time are pretty trashed and I remember being SO GLAD to have them in the hospital. And things I did not remember last time that I need to make sure I remember this time are a pillow (hospital ones suck but it's easy to forget since I can't pack it ahead of time) and a maxi dress - all I packed last time was maternity yoga pants, which were hell when I ended up with an emergency c-section and did not want ANYTHING touching my incision.
I haven't been nesting even a tiny bit. I'm too freaking tired, I just occasionally have spurts of getting stuff done because it HAS to get done. This pregnancy has been a lot tougher on me physically than my first one was, although surprisingly enough I'd say it has been easier mentally.
Did anyone start up a FB group? Having trouble finding that post...
