@KrzyRiver: Thank you!
@artsyfartsy: I went the other direction from you re: our original due date, haha. You lucky duck!!

Ugh, my nausea is back, and it rears it's ugly head at night. I'm going to have to go back on diclegis so I don't wake up ready to puke at 4 am anymore.

@mfa_lady: Lol I'm sorry. I am enjoying that skipped week though!
@avivoca: Ugh I'm sorry. I hope the second tri is good to you

@mfa_lady: As an Oct 29 baby myself, I can attest to how fun it is to have a birthday close to Halloween. All of my parties were Halloween themed when I was a kid and it was always a blast. Tons of candy on top of cake, what could be better?
@KrzyRiver: Congrats on the announcement! What a fun feeling.
AFM, we told my parents this weekend (the first people we've told). This baby will be the first grandchild on all sides, so the reactions are really precious. It's a relief to have a few people know other than me and DH, and definitely feels more real now. Looking forward to telling DH's parents next weekend at Easter.
Also, morning sickness and fatigue have faded away over the past few days. I still have other symptoms (sore chest, sore back, etc) - but feel like a new woman otherwise. It might just be a fluke/small reprieve, but I'm enjoying it regardless.
Hope everyone's weeks are off to a good start

@avivoca: ugh, sorry to hear. I am having a slight break from MS but figuring it might come back.... hang in there!

@TapDancer: Awesome! Bring on years and years of sugar rushes, right?! So fun about telling your parents. I know they must be super excited!

Coming back to add that now that I'm wearing maternity pants I have a huge belly! I look like I did in my 20 week photo for T and I'm not even 10 yet!
I'm kind of happy about it though. Pregnant belly is more flattering than a frumpy bumpy belly. Haha

MFA_LADY: Yes, for sure. Plus I'm 34 and an only child, so I think they might have been worried this day might never come. They've never been pushy or insensitive, but I could definitely feel their long-awaited elation. It was their 38th wedding anniversary, so we gave them a nice bottle of wine to celebrate....the label happened to mention that "the best parents get promoted to grandparents"

Joining in a little late here And I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check in - life is a little crazy right now. But I loved chatting with my due date month ladies the first time around so I'll try my best to keep up!
EDD: October 21
How far along: 9 weeks, 3 days
First child? nope, second
First doctor appointment: I've already had a few, and two ultrasounds. Didn't know I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks because I thought I'd had a period. (I took a test on a whim b/c I should have been ovulating, but the signs weren't there. Doc had me come in for bloodwork, progesterone was VERY low, and HCG didn't quite double. So I had an early ultrasound to check viability, then another last Friday to make sure the baby's growth was on track)
Thankfully everything is looking good now, but the last few weeks have been nerve wracking!
Any symptoms so far? Not really, besides fatigue (but I have a 14 month old, so . . . )
Who have you told? DH's parents and my parents; planning to tell siblings on Easter, and the extended family shortly after.
@mfa_lady: hi! Nice to see another Jan 2015 mama here Glad your ultrasound went well!

@charmed: Oh my goodness--so happy to see you here, mama! Congratulations to you--so sorry it's been a whirlwind. I also appreciate your commiseration re: having a 14 month old in the first tri. My perfect little monster is killing me!

@artsyfartsy: @whiskers: I am wearing leggings 4-5 days a week and still squeezing into my stretchiest jeans. My coworkers all know what my maternity pants look like (I mean, I was practically JUST pregnant lol) so I can't bust them out just yet. Plus, my SIL has everything except my favorite maternity jeans b/c her son was born in early February...so, I need to get that stuff back! Luckily, for tops, I've been living in loose tunics lately so I think I'll be able to wear those for a while. But I've been dreeeeaming of my maternity leggings. Can't wait to bust those guys out.

I'm in team super Flowy tops with open cardigans lately. I mostly work from home and haven't had to put on work pants in a few weeks, but have to this week. I'm nervous lol.
Just got a call from OB I tested positive for GBS in my recent panel. Amoxicillin for me. I'll probably test positive again at 36 weeks and will need abx for birth too. I had to with my first but not with my second. Strange how that works.

@artsyfartsy: second + pregnancy bumps are no joke early on!

@winniebee: They didn't even test me with my second, just labeled me as positive.

@avivoca: Ugh sorry about the nausea. Mine is still going strong also. May have to ask the doc for some Zofran at my April 5th appointment... Was trying to hold off, but she offer last appointment.
@artsyfartsy: Feeling you on the big belly. 11 weeks and I look at least 20 weeks. All my pants are tight now. Will be pulling out the maternity clothes when I get home next week. (No pic as I'm not a fan of preggo pics of me. Sorry future baby).
@charmed: Welcome! I have a 2 1/2 year old (and 13-year-old twins). Feeling the exhaustion of pregnancy and toddler antics...

@artsyfartsy: My bump was out and proud at nine weeks. I'm wearing the same dress today at 12.5 weeks and I look legit pregnant.

What leggings do you ladies like? Anything that's not see through, but low priced? I don't feel like I need preg specific ones yet, but would love suggestions. Need something to hold me over until it's warm enough for gym shorts and stretchy skirts!

@artsyfartsy: I've been wearing maternity pants since I was 8 weeks. Lol. But that was mostly cause I gained weight before pregnancy and that plus bloat meant my pants were too tight. And I didn't see the point of buying bigger pants right before I'd need maternity ones. But now I'm 11 weeks and definitely look pregnant! My stepson's mom couldn't believe I was only 11 weeks.

@winniebee: sorry if it's a dumb question, but what is GBS? newbie here...

Wow, so much good news and so many cute bumps! DH and I were super sick all last week week. Luckily he was on spring break and I could work from home so I was able to nap/not talk too much. Finally had to take a decongestant to fight the post-nasal drip because it was making me throw up 4+ times/day. The good news is, I think the morning sickness is waning...or maybe it's just that the cold is distracting.
My bump is still small until after lunch, but it's getting to be harder to hide at work. I'm not ready for maternity shirts, but my collection of acceptable work shirts is quickly dwindling. I'll be 11w tomorrow, so not too much longer before I tell everyone at work. Then I can let it all hang out!
@KrzyRiver: I was in exactly the same boat with dress pants. But my mat pants get stretched out so quickly that I have to wear a belly band to hold them up, which is a pain. One pair of jeans still fits though, and it's almost time for skirts and dresses here in TX!

@waiting4you: oh sorry! Group B strep. If you test pos during pregnancy you need antibiotics during labor.
apricot / 344 posts
@KrzyRiver: you sound like me. between the IVF meds for the last year and then the OHSS, I almost went straight to maternity pants as soon as I found out I was pregnant (at just under 4 weeks). I've gotten away with flowy tops to conceal the bump, but because we are so close to telling everyone I just started wearing whatever when I go to the store, etc.
I saw my mother in law the other day (After not seeing her for about a week and a half) and was wearing a tight shirt. She was like OMG you're way bigger than I expected you'd be at this point. you can totally see your bump!! I was definitely not amused. Was tough not to shout out...well maybe because it's 3 babies still?! But that's a secret, so I bit my tongue and just said yup, bigger than I thought. ugh!

@MrsRcCar: What a cute idea to share where our names came from!
DH and I have used the endearment/nickname "bunny" for years, so it just felt natural to start calling the little one Bunbun.

You guys and the bumps, so cute! I am just large and frumpy right now.
apricot / 271 posts
@BUNBUN: I always smile when I see your name. My DH and I call each other bun-bun! We've starting referring to baby as BITO, for "bun in the oven."

Man the morning (all day) sickness has been kicking my butt today. Plus the crazy exhaustion. We had a very busy weekend so I have tried to relax today but life with two young kiddos doesn't end because momma doesn't feel good. Lucky for me they both napped, unlucky for me my body had other plans. Hoping I can get to sleep early tonight.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsRcCar: on my days I'm not working, I've been giving my older kiddo a movie during his brothers nap time, since he doesn't nap. I'm not winning mom of the year, but I'm catching a nap twice a week
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@winniebee: I stay at home with my kiddos full time. This solo parent business is for the birds. I can't wait for next week! DH is off from school for a week so he will be able to help me before work. So nap time all week next week! I can't wait.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsRcCar: yeah it's hard! I work 3 days and am home 2 days, plus weekends. My husband works 80-100 hours a week (some weekends) so there is lots of solo parenting here. My husband was off this last weekend so I did get to rest a little.
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@winniebee: my DH works full time and goes to school full time. So we only see him on Friday mornings and weekends. It will remain this way until he graduates in January or February next year.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsRcCar: that's crazy! Do u leave near family? We don't see my husband in the mornings and he usually misses dinner a few times a week. He takes call every third weekend and then he is MIA all weekend, but otherwise is usually around weekends.
grapefruit / 4712 posts
@winniebee: nope. We are 3 hours from my family and 6 hours from my Inlaws. My grandparents live 2 hours away. My best friend and her husband live 1.5 hours away. We are pretty alone in our bubble.
