@waiting4you: Yikes. I'm sorry you are having to deal with that. I am thinking about you and hoping that everything is ok.

Hoping it's just some things that could be off because of my strange diet and the triplet situation. I didn't tell her about the multiples part since we don't have any definitive answers yet. And if we do end up with multiples we want to surprise them....not find out because of a blood test that was wonky.
I'm honestly surprised that this would just come up now. I can't tell you the ENDLESS blood tests I've had in the last 2 years due to IF. I've done full panels multiple times and even standard blood work hasn't really shown anything "off". Praying this is just pregnancy stuff

@waiting4you: I'm so sorry for the scary news! If you've had that much blood work recently, then hopefully you're right that it's just a wonky result. FX for you. I hope you get some answers soon.

@waiting4you: hmmm... very strange. Can you ask if being pregnant could effect otherwise normal results?
*hugs*

@Shantuck: have you had your scan yet? Thinking of you.

@winniebee: Thanks for the good thoughts! We have a baby and a heartbeat. Baby is measuring a bit small, though. Instead of 7 weeks 4 days, I'm measuring 6 weeks 6 days. They want me back next week to confirm interval growth. But there was a strong heartbeat of 146 bpm so I'm staying positive.
Has anyone else measured small?!

@Shantuck: Yay for baby and heartbeat! I wouldn't worry too much since it's less than a week off and heartbeat is solid.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Shantuck: that's great there's a good HB! I am a day or two behind this time. My doc said it wasn't a big deal. I'm having a scan in another week and a half to follow up. I'm glad you're going again next week

@Shantuck: Mine was also measuring about a week behind, but the doc said that if they saw growth, no problem. I won't worry about the dating. Due date prediction is a guess at best. They kept telling me that there was no way I was 6 weeks (they thought 4 weeks), but I was very certain of the conception week. So whatever. I don't put much stock in that stuff.

@Shantuck: I measured 7 weeks 1 day at my ultrasound but I was actually 7w5d when it was done. They have a +/- 5 day window.

Thanks all. Hearing others' stories is making me feel much better. Nothing's easy in pregnancy!

We announced our pregnancy today. We had already told family and a few good friends. So we just posted it on FB. I had people I haven't spoken to in years commentjng and sending me messages. Lol. It got us very excited tho. And we made our first big purchase today. We bought our car seat.

@KRZYRIVER: Very exciting! I've been announcing it individually to family members as I see them this visit to Indiana. Telling the in-laws today. They are going to flip!

@Alexandra603: Welcome!
@waiting4you: Hope all goes okay with the bloodwork! Thinking of you.
@Shantuck: Sounds like a great heartbeat!
@KrzyRiver: So exciting!!

@KrzyRiver: congratulations!!! So fun to have that overwhelming excitement!! Enjoy every second.
We talked about announcing a week from Friday, but then realized that was April 1st...April fools day. yeah, NO!! So we'll probably make it official next Wednesday, 10 days or so.

@KrzyRiver: Yay! We announced too. It makes it seem a little more real being able to share it with people.

@waiting4you: Ugggh worst dates! I hate April Fool pregnancy jokes.
Most folks know about us already, since I've blogged about the deal - but we won't make any kind of announcement until the genetic testing comes back, I don't think.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I've told my parents and my sister, but that's it. After so many losses, I can't imagine telling anyone until after our genetic testing comes back around 12 weeks. Im only 8 weeks.
apricot / 344 posts
@winniebee: agree! That's pretty much exactly how our announcement will line up. Genetic testing on Wednesday, get results back within 7 days.

@Waiting4You: Yes you can eat tuna. That isn't on the recall list. Just be aware that some tuna has high mercury content. My OB advises tuna only once a week or less throughout pregnancy.

@FaithFertility: It does make it seem more real! And I can actually talk about why I'm not working/always sick/etc. Its so nice.
@winniebee: I was getting really anxious about telling because of so many losses. But I won't see a doctor again until mid April, so I wanted to tell while I was feeling good about the whole thing. I'm 11 weeks today, so I hope that wasn't too early.
@waiting4you: It's safe to eat chunk light tuna. Not Albacore. So what that pouch thing is fine. A couple companies just recalled some of their tuna though, so you might want to check into that.
apricot / 344 posts
@TFrances: @KrzyRiver: thanks! I thought it was but wasn't positive. Not a huge tuna fan but havent eaten enough today. I was busy taking a final exam for the last 9 hours, and hardly ate or drank anything. Know I need some protein and this was the quickest option.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KrzyRiver: it's all about your comfort level! Having a loss at your point after seeing or hearing a heartbeat is really so unlikely.

@waiting4you: I am sure
I eat it now and then! I know you need to limit due o Mercury levels

Dr. Apt today to do paper work, blood work and hopefully they can find HB on Doppler I was 12 weeks with DD wen they did so I am 11 tomorrow so not too far off!

Ultrasound went well! HB was 177 (maybe another girl?!) and baby is measuring 8w2d. That pushes my due date back a few days to October 29--but I really had no idea when I ovulated anyway. Maybe a Halloween baby!

@FaithFertility: @winniebee: thanks, mamas!
@whiskers: She was one day early!
apricot / 276 posts
@winniebee: That's true. I feel a lot better hearing someone else say it though.
@mfa_lady: Yay for a good ultrasound!!
