Thanks for commiserating, guys.
I know there's nothing I can do one way or the other.. but after having a chromosomal issue with at LEAST one of our losses, I'm scared that lightning will strike twice, you know?
Anyway... OB visit tomorrow to tide me over a little and I just have to have faith this little baby can fight fight fight.

@jaguar: Happy birthday G!! Three is a crazy age.
My appointment is Thursday morning. I am so nervous but things have to be ok. I have been so sick. That's a good sign right? I have been freaking out.
Plus there are a lot of personal things happening right now that have me so stressed out. I just need to get to Thursday and hopefully some stress will be lifted.

@MrsRcCar: good luck just a few days to go!!
@jaguar: I waver between thinking everything is ok and knowing there's an issue. You aren't alone! We will both know soon enough.

AFM I feel like my bump is ridiculous
I outed it on FB this past week and definitely glad I did as work clothes are definitely becoming an issue!

@FaithFertility: I just saw that post. So adorable. I'm with you sister. Feeling huge and like it's ridiculous to try to hide it!!

@FaithFertility: I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've only told a few people from work so far but it's getting awkward now that I'm looking very obviously pregnant at 10 1/2 weeks. I've been in maternity pants since 5 weeks and I'm going to have to bust out the shirts next week.

@FaithFertility: @winniebee: @dookie32: I'm with y'all! I'm in maternity pants this week (9.5 weeks now) and I should have done it two weeks ago. Ha! I had to wait until I was out of the closet at work, though--b/c all my coworkers know what my maternity pants look like. Ha!

Woooo Hoooooo!!!!!! Just got the results of our NIPT test back. Per the dr. "negative for everything". I'm literally floating on cloud 9!!!!!
Also, I guess that baby B&C had "vanished" enough that only one set of results came back. There wasn't enough left in my system to pick up the additional information. Therefore, the sex of the baby is correct. We were told that there could be some margin of error if there were 3 sets of results that came back, but that's not the case. So we can go pick up our envelope that has the sex of the baby in it whenever we want.
OMG I'm SOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!

@waiting4you: yay!!! I love this news!
I had my NT scan last night and it looked great. Baby was in weird position and wouldn't move so it took an hour to get the right measurements, but everything was good. I'm finally allowing myself to feel really excited. Even though I have no prior history of losses or anything, I'm just a natural worrier and pessimist but trying to get over it. I also finally told my mom today and she was so thrilled it made me cry. So, yay! My OB tried to convince me I didn't need the NIPT test but I really want it, so did my bloodwork for that and regular first tri screening and hopefully will get those results soon and at that point I will really go public.

@waiting4you: Yay! So great to hear. Do you have inkling of whether it's a boy or girl?
@thepicklemonster: I think I know kinda' how you feel ... just being prepared for the worst without ever having had a loss before. Partly it's the IVF process for me, but I'm also a worrier. I'm glad you're starting to celebrate! Moms are good for that and mine is helping me, too!

@Amorini: for some reason I'm thinking boy the last few days, but really don't have a strong feeling either way.
We just made the news facebook official. So much fun!

@waiting4you: @thepicklemonster: Such great updates! Loved reading that today. @waiting4you: I hope my NIPT results come back quickly. I did the blood work on Tuesday of this week....hoping to hear early next week so I can surprise my mom for her birthday.. My doc said it's usually about a week, but could be up to 2. Eek! Waiting (im)patiently by the phone.

Eeeep, I am so nervous about going for then NIPT next week. It sounds silly but I don't want to be the one with bad news!

Hey guys! So my big 12 week scan isn't til next Tuesday, but I saw OB today at 11w5d and baby was wiggling all over the place. Walloped the doppler during the heartbeat check, little monkey!
Baby measured 12w1d and 5.4cm long, I am completely and utterly in love. Still a nervous wreck for scan & NIPT next week, but one day at a time.

Here is some recent information on Zika I find terrifying. I really wish they had more information on all the risks. I'm in an area that could realistically be hit hard should it spread rapidly in the US.

@whiskers: I know the whole thing is so freaky! I'm in Louisiana and I've seen New Orleans on lists of cities where it could be this summer. So scary, especially since so much is still unknown about it.

@Miss Ariel: I'm about 4 hours east of you. Even with all the mosquito prevention, I've already killed 3 in this past week. Really hoping it just doesn't spread here at all.

@whiskers: So scary. Some friends are mine are honeymooning in an affected area this summer and freaking out because they wanted to TTC right away. It's really terrifying because of all the unknowns.

@mfa_lady: My friend had to put TTC on hold because of her sisters destination wedding at the beginning of the month. They are being super cautious about waiting until they get the all clear to resume because there is just too much that is unknown.

@whiskers: It's terrible! We were planning to go the Caribbean for our 5-year anniversary this summer, but....obviously not so much now. A huge bummer but just not even close to worth the risk.

We just got our first case of zika here in our county yesterday. All the counties around us have already had cases. Not to mention, you never know what my husband will encounter at work as a medic. Definitely scary.
