Not sure how many of you are planning to stock up on diapers prior to your lo's arrival, but I started doing research on best diaper prices and "stock up" prices (what's a great price and when to stock up). Target is having a great deal right now, especially target brand diapers which I've heard GREAT things about from mom friends. All sizes of the jumbo boxes (largest amount) are on sale for $24.99, and for every 2 you buy you get a $10 gift card. Add that to the 5% red card discount and the prices fell within or way below ($0.05-$0.06 less) per diaper. I ended up buying 1 box of 1's, 2 boxes of 2's and a box of 3's.
The website also gives approximate counts for what you'll need of each size. Great resource!

@waiting4you: I love Target diapers. Cheap and they work great. That being said, I wouldn't stock up too much on the smaller sizes. H was in 4's forever, but she blew through NB-3 (and we cloth diapered the majority of the time). I am going to start getting a few boxes of 1-3 (we used them at night and as backup at daycare for H).

@waiting4you: Target diapers are the best! I didn't stock up a ton when I was pregnant last time (we just don't have the space, really) but I always do look for those gift card deals when I'm running low.

@waiting4you: We exclusively use Target brand diapers. They are similar to Pampers. I second @avivoca's advice about not getting a lot of smaller sizes. We didn't buy many 1s, but still ended up with a ton extra. Of course Arthur was 9lbs when he was born.

@waiting4you: I wouldn't stock up too much, but you can always return them even without a receipt. We were gifted a lot of different sizes and brands, so if we ended up not needing something we took it back and credited toward the brand/size we were using.
We have to use Honest with T now because of his diaper rash problems. They are a God send. We're so used to the shipment and everything that I'm going to just get the new baby's diapers the same way. I may order a newborn shipment a month early. T should (hopefully) be out of diapers by October so that saves us the $$.

Small update on me. I am 11 weeks as of yesterday and since then I have felt GREAT. Still pretty tired but no nausea whatsoever! I feel like a new woman.
I also think I'm starting to feel the baby. It's hard to tell this early but I felt T at 13 weeks like I'm feeling this baby now. So exciting!

@artsyfartsy: I definitely think I was feeling baby that early too. So I think it's possible! I started feeling H around 14 weeks.

@artsyfartsy: @avivoca: Lucky ducks! I have a tilted uterus (although you wouldn't know it from my blump situation) so I didn't feel movement until 18 weeks with E. Trying not to get my hopes up this time, either.

Zika. Ugh. We have a scheduled trip to Grand Cayman in 3 weeks with my entire family, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. It's been planned for a year. My OB said ok to go since there is no Zika there. But to not go if there is a confirmed case before we travel. I'm basically not going to enjoy myself, wear Deet constantly, and spend as little time outdoors as possible. We've gone back and forth on cancelling...I feel sort of sick about it at this point.

Def not buying too many, but wanted to pick up a box or two of the 1's and 2's. Fortunately we have the room to stockpile some of the larger sizes for down the road. While I'm pretty sure we'll get some from a shower, etc. we don't have all that many people to invite to a shower so I don't want to rely too much on that. Also don't want to over stock and then have an allergy issue or something. Just trying to stay ahead of the finances since I know we're in for some big adjustments.

@waiting4you: Yep, if you buy Target brand, returning is super easy since it's quite clear where they came from. I got a box of diapers that were too small for my DD's first birthday, and took them back without a receipt or anything. They just gave me a Target gift card, no questions asked!

@winniebee: I would feel sick over the decision as well. I think you can still enjoy yourself without really being outside and you will have plenty of help with keeping the kids entertained with that much family around.
Target diapers are great! I am stuck with Huggies because my inlaws decided to start buying them for us in bulk - I hate the way they smell.

@winniebee: I'm supposed to be in Mexico right now but it's a little different since there are confirmed Zika cases there. That's really tough. Maybe you could try to cover yourself as much as possible (J Crew has cute rashguards for swimming) and just be vigilant about the mosquito protection. Use deet repellent, walk around with those little portable Off clip-on things, etc.

@whiskers: We're big Huggies people, too, but mostly because that is the brand they carry at Costco.

@Shantuck: Lol, that is why my inlaws buy them. They are always on sale at costco around when we tell them we are getting low.

Appointment went well, despite some spotting that occurred right before the appointment. Baby is measuring 9weeks 1 day. So that makes my due date Nov 2. I am sure this baby will arrive in October so I am just going to hang out here! Heartbeat was 188! It was nice to breath a small sigh of relief.

We had our 12w appointment last night and the NT scan...except bunbun wouldn't cooperate. At first it wasn't moving at all (strong heartbeat, thank goodness) and after cold juice and much prodding, we were sent back to the waiting room. 30 min later, we tried again. Movement, but not the position needed for the measurement. We're both stubborn people, so we know this is a sign of what's to come! I joked that I'd give it a brownie, and a little hand shot up - but it wouldn't turn completely around. So no measurement, but the tech said that if it was positive, we would have obviously seen it. Our NIPT tests weren't back yet, so it was a pretty short doc visit. As we were about to check out, she called us back because the results had just been emailed! All normal and it's a boy! NOW it really feels real

@BUNBUN: Yay! Congrats on your results! You're having a boy!
We received our Mat21 results this morning -- all normal, putting the risk factor down to less than 1/10,000. Big sigh of relief for this AMA mamma. It only took 6.5 days to get results! And while we could know gender now, we are still TG!

@amorini: I love reading that your results only took 6.5 days. I am anxiously awaiting mine and hoping that they will be relatively quick, as well.
