@Shantuck: welcome to the November side too. I got bumped a week at my ultrasound. It bounced me from the last week of October to the first week of November. I am just hoping that this baby bakes until after October 5th. <---- my oldest birthday.

I've been lurking for a while, but I figure it's time to really join the board!

    Location: Phoenix, AZ
EDD: 10/19 (also, we're team green!)
How far along: 12 weeks and a few days
    First child? Yes!
First doctor appointment: Ummm, back in February, 6 weeks ago already. So far, we had two appointments with a Nurse Practitioner (who I decided I didn't like, so now we're seeing the midwife practice at our hospital), a dating ultrasound at 8 weeks, a midwife appointment at 9 weeks to get started with the midwives, then this past Thursday we had another ultrasound at 12 weeks. We have two appointments next week, one with the midwife and one with the high risk specialist.

Any symptoms so far? Ugh, I've been miserable since 6 weeks... Between 6 weeks and 9, I lost 17 lbs (nausea and extremely low appetite) and was basically a zombie. It didn't help that the old nausea meds gave me vertigo... Got IV fluids and new meds at 9 weeks (following a truly horrific ER visit) and things have been somewhat better since then. This week, things have really improved and I've had more good days than bad. Still super tired and sore, but I can deal with that for 6 more months if the nausea is gone for good!!

Who have you told? At first, we told my parents right away (we actually found out on my mom's birthday, so we didn't wait too long to tell them, just until after the first appt). We told DH's parents after the first ultrasound. Then, it was a slow roll of telling our closest friends. We told our best friends right away, but waited to tell most everyone until after the first ultrasound. It was pretty hard to keep it from people because I was so sick!! We put it on Facebook last week so now everyone knows!

I've enjoyed reading this board so far and it's really helped me a few times not feel so crazy! Looking forward to participating now!

    I'm I guess 13 weeks today but I swear 2-3x today I've felt a little pop/pressure flop?!?!!

I doubt it could be baby but feels EXACTLY like I remember DD's first flops which I think I was about 15-17 weeks?!

  13. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@FaithFertility: With R, I had movement by 14-15 weeks, so it's definitely possible as a STM! I have been feeling some tickles here and there and i'm only 11 weeks. I try and ignore it b/c it's SO early but at this point, but I'm pretty sure I'm feeling something other than gas : )

  14. FaithFertility

    eggplant / 11861 posts

@winniebee: Yeah, and since I am going by the new date date I was ( 13w 6days) according to my LMP so definitely could be I guess! I'm pretty sure they were definitely different, crazy I feel like this is going to FLY BY!

  15. TFrances

    apricot / 286 posts

@FaithFertility: I'm 13 weeks right now and swear that I can feel the baby moving every once in awhile. At first I thought it was gas, but this is much lower and feels like the flutters I felt with the other babies.

Popping back in after a few days away. Unfortunately this weekend my hubby came down with strep throat😔 He's not one to go to the dr but I heard him get up early Saturday morning, asked where he was going and he said the walk in clinic. So while he was at dr I got up and took a shower. He called and said I should go to my moms for the weekend so baby and I don't get sick. He's Clorox wiped every handle and surface and remote and lysol'ed everything else. Now I'm really nervous I'm going to get sick. Anyone had strep while pregnant?

  23. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@waiting4you: Never while pregnant, but it's miserable! I hope you don't catch it!

  24. TapDancer

    cherry / 246 posts

@waiting4you: Not while pregnant, but my experience has been that strep feels worse as an adult that it did as a kid (although, both aren't very pleasant!). Hope you're in the clear soon.

  25. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@waiting4you: I had a weird strain of strep last year when DD was about 3 months old. I was nursing/pumping around the clock and had just gone back to work. So, not pregnant....but the second-worst option? It was pretty miserable, but once I got antibiotics it cleared up in no time. Hope you can avoid it!

Is anybody feeling like their belly is getting smaller before it gets bigger? I've had SO MUCH BLOAT (even before my BFP--it was one of the first things that tipped me off) and I feel like in the last few days my belly is a bit smaller. Of course, it's totally freaking me out, and I'm counting down the days until my Friday morning ultrasound.

I know it's so unlikely for something to happen after a great scan at 8 weeks, but goodness. The ultrasound anxiety just never goes away!

  27. whiskers

    kiwi / 657 posts

@mfa_lady: I was thinking the same thing this past week. I'm attributing it to bloat going down.

    How far along : 12w3d
Current symptoms : Fatigue, gas, joint pain
Maternity clothes : Almost all my shorts are maternity and I wear regular and maternity shirts.
Missing anything from pre pregnancy : Just my energy.
Looking forward to : Getting my NIPT results and passing that hurdle
Biggest worry : Zika hitting here. I hate being in the red zone on the map.
Have you announced? : Immediate family and close friends know. Will announce once I get my NIPT test results, hopefully by the end of next week.
Next appointment : This Wednesday for 12 week visit and NIPT

How far along : 11 weeks
    Current symptoms : Nausea, fatigue
Maternity clothes : I have tons from my prior pregnancies. Trying to get by with bella band in order to get more mileage out of non-hideous work suits.
Missing anything from pre pregnancy : Alcohol
Looking forward to : Getting my NIPT results and passing that hurdle, hopefully in a few days
Biggest worry : NIPT results this week. ZIKA outbreak when I'm on vacation in Grand Cayman in a few weeks (none there, yet).
Have you announced? : Immediate family and close friends know. Nothing on social media until after anatomy scan.
    Next appointment : 5/3 for a 14 week ultrasound.

    @whiskers: Good idea!

    How far along: 11+2

Current symptoms: Exhaustion. Still having an upset stomach most mornings, but otherwise not as much queasiness as a few weeks ago.

Maternity clothes: Pants, yes. Haven't been able to fit into my jeans since week 6. Since DD was born I've been rocking the flowy tunics, so most of my normal tops can stay in rotation for a while.

Missing anything from pre pregnancy: WINE. Which is weird, because I didn't have a taste for it when I was in the first trimester with E. This time I am missing it BIG TIME--although, maybe having a toddler has something to do with that.

Looking forward to: Next ultrasound. Been feeling worried for the last week or so, and really hoping to get a good report this week. Plus, then I can start buying #allthebabythings. (Which, for the record, I don't even really need, but you know. Baby things.)

Biggest worry: Missed miscarriage. Had a great scan at 8 weeks but I always get really scared before ultrasounds, so I'll be freaking out until Friday.

Have you announced?: Yes and no. To family and close friends and work, yes. To the general public/other acquaintances, no. We'll likely do DD in a big sister shirt on Instagram if all goes well at Friday's scan.

Next appointment: Ultrasound and appointment this Friday morning! (Can you tell I'm counting down?)

  33. TapDancer

    cherry / 246 posts

@mfa_lady: Definitely. I have zero bloat, zero bump. In fact, my jeans feel slightly looser! I've been so worried about it since everyone else seems the opposite, but hearing from you and @whiskers makes me feel better!

  34. waiting4you

    apricot / 344 posts

How far along: 13 weeks 5 days

Current symptoms: Headaches about once a week, ms a bit the last few days but had been doing well for a week or two before that. Super tired but can't seem to fall asleep. Woke up today with all kinds of red splotchy marks on my stomach. Worried it could be a crazy quick stretch mark onset or possibly hives for some reason. Strange that it's only on my abdomen and back though.

Maternity clothes: I've been in them since day 1 when we found at just shy of 4 weeks due to OHSS. Got back into normal clothes for a bit but now it's just more comfortable to wear the maternity pants. Wearing most of my normal tops though.

Missing anything from pre pregnancy: Sushi, specifically raw tuna.

Looking forward to: our gender reveal party on the 30th! The information from our NIPT test has been available for at least 2 weeks now yet we are waiting to find out with everyone else at the party.

Biggest worry: everything. But specifically that I'm not eating enough. I'm having to try very hard to consume enough food every day and make sure that I'm getting enough protein and iron. I was never a big eater before getting pregnant so this is a challenge now.

Have you announced?: Yup, it's public and on social media. Feels good to not have to keep it a secret anymore.

Next appointment: Not until May 11th!!!! which freaks me out, but luckily we have a lot going on between now and then so I have plenty to distract myself.

  35. avivoca

How far along: 15 weeks, 2 days
    Current symptoms: Bloated and hungry
Maternity clothes: yep! Still trying to use the Bella Band to get some mileage out of my cute things.
Missing anything from pre pregnancy: Lemon flavored things (they make me want to hurl).
Looking forward to: finding out if we are having a boy or a girl!
Biggest worry: that something is wrong. I can't feel consistent movement so I worry.
Have you announced?: Yes, at 10 weeks. I couldn't hide it anymore.
Next appointment: May 17 anatomy scan and glucose tolerance test.

Hey ladies! Quiet over here, but I've been reading along. Work is dreadfully hard right now.

    @Bernieboo: Welcome!

    How far along : 15w2d
Current symptoms : 10 hours/night of sleep = not enough!
Maternity clothes : 50/50. Still using a bellaband with regular pants.
Missing anything : Not having a super sensitive gag reflux. Can hardly get my pre-natals down now.
Looking forward to : Making the work announcement @ 20 weeks and getting the maternity plan in place. It's complicated: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/negotiating-maternity-leave-in-high-level-position-small-us-company-no-fmla-or-clear-policy
Biggest worry : That something is wrong. I feel good for about 4-5 days after each appointment where I get to hear h/b or see u/s... then I start worrying again.
Have you announced? : Just family. I'll share with friends soon.
Next appointment : Anatomy scan is 5/6! And I have regular OB appt 4/29 but that will move up or back a little.

  37. BUNBUN

    apricot / 430 posts

    How far along: 13w6d
Current symptoms: rarely have an appetite, limited foods sound appetizing. Can't eat after 6pm or will be sick. Exhausted at the end of the day
Maternity clothes: work pants (since 6 weeks). Still able to wear a few non-mat shirts for work. Have bought a few mat items, but haven't worn them yet (why?)
Missing anything from pre pregnancy: Deli sandwiches! just recently started missing alcohol.
Looking forward to: feeling better (hopefully??)
Biggest worry: That something will go wrong that I could have prevented.
Have you announced?: To our family and most of our friends. Still trying to tell 1 or 2 personally (via phone). Not sure if I will announce on social media
Next appointment: May 2. No ultrasound, so not sure what to expect at that appointment

  38. mand4

Have been quiet, but reading along has made me feel more sane. Thanks to all you regular posters

    How far along: 14 weeks
Current symptoms: Extreme hanger without small, frequent meals. (Which works out for my toddler, since mama always shares her snacks!)

Maternity clothes: a few looser t shirts. Stretchy jeans still fit, thank goodness, because don't have any maternity ones yet. Bought 2 pairs of nice stretchy jogging pants though!

Missing anything from pre pregnancy: Fresh fruits and salad from dining halls (hubs works at a college so the selection is awesome, but irrational listeria fears are holding me back).

Looking forward to: finding out sex, getting rid of so much pink baby girl stuff if it's a boy

Biggest worry: health of babe, giving birth in a new hospital with higher intervention rates

Have you announced?: Not to work or on social media (I work part time from home)... the bumps is kind of obvious if you know me, but we are new in the area so our newer friends/acquaintances don't know

    Next appointment: April 21st

  39. TFrances

    apricot / 286 posts

    How far along: 14 weeks
Current symptoms: Nausea (all day everyday), Scar tissue/ligament pain, fatigue, headaches
Maternity clothes: Starting to wear a few pieces here and there. Regular pants are a little too tight at the waist.
Missing anything from pre pregnancy: All the wine! and proper sushi.
Looking forward to: Finding out the sex
Biggest worry: That the scar tissue pain is going to be escalated this time.
Have you announced?: Yes to everyone. In person, on my blog, and on FB
Next appointment: May 2nd for big anatomy ultrasound at 18 weeks, then May 17th for regular doc appointment at 20 weeks.

  40. TapDancer

    cherry / 246 posts

    How far along: 12 weeks

Current symptoms: Frequent, intense, debilitating migraines. All other symptoms pale in comparison right now. The only "fun" symptom is crazy dreams! They make me LOL every morning.

Maternity clothes: Not even close. Zero bump, zero bloat.

Missing anything from pre pregnancy: Being able to take effective migraine meds. Vacation planning without the threat of zika.

Looking forward to: Getting past tomorrow's 12 week appointment and if all goes well, giving myself permission to start thinking ahead a bit more - registry, nursery, etc. I'm also looking forward to letting folks at work know (hopefully later this week) - it will be a huge relief not to hide when I'm not feeling well, etc.

Biggest worry: Missed miscarriage. Ever since my morning sickness abruptly went away at 9 weeks (still feel a bit queasy at times, but nothing like before) I have been a nervous wreck. My 12 week appointment is tomorrow morning (no scan, just a heartbeat check) and I am literally counting down the minutes.

Have you announced?: To immediate family and close friends only. After tomorrow's check up, we'll hopefully announce to the rest of our family, work and gradually to the rest of our circle (not a social media announcement, just as we see folks...). I've found announcing in general to be exciting/fun, but also pretty overwhelming. I'm a baby steps type of person, I think!

    Next appointment: Tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
