I have totally neglected this board. I've been super sick still and my son ended up with pneumonia so it's been a hell of a week. Haha. He's almost 100% better now!
Here's my quick check in:
How far along: 12 weeks 6 days
Current symptoms: Nausea all day err day. Since T got pneumonia my sleep has been even less so to say I'm exhausted is an understatement. He slept through the night last night though so hopefully we're getting back to normal. LIGHTNING CROTCH!
Maternity clothes: Yessss. I jumped on the maternity pants train even earlier this time. So much more comfy. I have two maternity shirts but right now my normal shirts still work.
Missing anything from pre pregnancy: Eating. Feeling functional. Lol
Looking forward to: Finding out what the baby is! May 8th!!
Biggest worry: My health. I can barely eat anything. I'm down 5 pounds since I got pregnant. At this stage with T I was up at least 5 pounds. I can only eat French fries or cereal or chips to settle my stomach. Anything else gets 2 bites and ends up in the trash. I'm worried about my nutrition and it affecting the baby.
Have you announced?: Yup. Everyone knows!
Next appointment: April 14th. Just a simple check up and hearing the heartbeat.

@jaguar: seeing that lil baby sonogram almost made me tear up for you! After all you went through! A miracle!!
watermelon / 14467 posts
@artsyfartsy: It's probably okay that you lost a little weight. I haven't put on any weight at all this pregnancy (I've actually lost a pound), my eating habits were absolutely atrocious while I was dealing with nausea, but everything is fine with baby and with me. I'm sure the same goes with your little babe.

Just got back from my 12w appointment. All is well, thank goodness. There were a few minutes of terror when they couldn't find the heartbeat and ended up sending me over for a quick ultrasound. Fortunately the little guy popped up right away - just higher than the doc had thought and moving back and forth a ton. Fun to get a freebie scan and so relieved!
I am thrilled to be past this appointment - the anxiety leading up to it was intense! Feeling very happy today

@jaguar: Stalker here to So happy to hear the good good news!!

@jaguar: Hopefully this doesn't sound stalker-ish, but I couldn't sleep last night (work stuff, baby worry, etc) and I totally calmed down when I read your update and went back to snoozing. SO HAPPY for you and your sweet family. ELSAAAAAA!
@artsyfartsy: Hope you feel better soon! Also, my daughter was grown off 15 weeks of Chef Boyardee beefaroni, so I'm sure your little nugget is doing just fine.
@TapDancer: Sorry for the scare, but glad the appointment ended up so great! I'm seeeeeriously stressing about mine on Friday. Hope I have just as good a report!

@jaguar: yayyyy!!!! So exciting to see this pop up when I logged in this morning!!! A little girl!!! First on the board!!!! Congratulations on great NIPT results and finally getting to share the news.

@avivoca: I can honestly stand to lose a few this pregnancy so I'm not overly worried about my weight, just the fact I'm barely eating. I'm taking (and keeping down) my prenatal gummies so I know that helps too.
@mfa_lady: My baby is being grown on French fries. Haha!
@winniebee: Thank you! It sucks but Im making it through. I feel better getting up and going to work so it's not affecting me too much. DH is great about letting me rest when I need it so I couldn't ask for anything more.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@artsyfartsy: I'm pretty sure H is part French fry since that was all I could eat for the first several weeks.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
AFM I still am pretty hungry and nauseous and my 16mo has been getting up for the day at 5:30 out of the blue. And my 4 year old wet the bed one night and had a bad dream the next. And we are crazy enough to have a third.

Maybe you all have already seen this, but Gap isn't going to carry maternity clothes in their stores anymore (only online) and so everything is on super clearance. I got a sweater for $7 and nice jeans for $8 yesterday. Woo-hoo! A lot is already gone, but if you're near a store, definitely worth going.

I think I finally found something I enjoy eating and know I don't get sick from....carrots and celery with ranch dressing!! Feels good to have a "go to". That's been dinner the last 4 nights now.
apricot / 276 posts
@TapDancer: Yay! Glad everything went well!
@avivoca: I think mine is part French fry/part taco. Lol
@waiting4you: I just discovered that carrots are something healthy that I can always eat too. That and grapes have been helping me cut back on the junk food the last few days.

@jaguar: another stalker here. I am so happy for you I can't even put it into words. Yay Elsa!
cherry / 246 posts
@waiting4you: Amen to grapes! They are my lifesaver these days. I'll have to give carrots a try.
@mand4: Oh, thanks for the heads up! I haven't bought any maternity clothes (and it doesn't seem like I'll need to for quite a while, not even a slight pre-bump going on), but might grab a few things if they are on major sale.

How far along: 13+6
Current symptoms: none really, I've been really lucky not to have much nausea, my appetite is back, and I'm not as exhausted as I was. I just got back from Ireland yesterday and caught a cold on the plane though
Maternity clothes: I can still squeeze into my jeans/pants, but I bought a pair of maternity pants and the are the comfiest things ever so I wear them all the time
Missing anything from pre pregnancy: wine. Also, hot baths/hot tubs, not that I used them much before. I just really want a hot bath.
Looking forward to: finding out the gender! And getting a cute bump...I'm still not really showing at all.
Biggest worry: I don't really have any right now...I had a doctors appointment this morning and heard the heartbeat, so that relaxed me.
Have you announced?: to our friends and family, not on FB yet
Next appointment: had one today, next one is 5/12
