I'm starting to get kind of freaked out by no movement yet. I mean, there have been a couple of times where I thought MAYBE I felt the baby, but I can't be sure (even though I just did this less than 2 years ago).
I felt DD right at 18 weeks, and I'm 17+5 today.

@mfa_lady: You might have an anterior placenta. Mine is partially anterior right now and I only feel movement down low at almost 22 weeks. With H, I didn't feel a lot of movement until later because it was fully anterior.

@avivoca: Thanks, lady. That does make me feel better. Does anterior mean tilted back a little? If so, I do have that--but I did with DD, too. I wish this baby would just hurry up!
watermelon / 14467 posts
@mfa_lady: No, it means it's in the front of your uterus instead of the back or top.

@avivoca: Oh, oops. I made that really confusing. At the beginning of both pregnancies, they told me I had a "tilted uterus," so maybe that goes hand-in-hand with an anterior placenta. Sounds like it could make sense. (I realize I'm grasping at straws here, but...it's possible!)

@mfa_lady: I've just started to feel some stronger kicks this week (18.5). I am suddenly feeling more attached to this baby.
I'm seriously considering letting my 3 year old name this baby. She has a name she is consistent and adamant about and it's not a bad name at all, though I have a few not so major hang ups about it.

@whiskers: This helps. With E, movement started out of nowhere and was consistent pretty much immediately....so I hope that will happen again.
Let her do it!! A seems like she'd have good taste. Now I want to know what the name is.

@mfa_lady: I'm 21w5d and kind of feel like you. I do not feel anything super strong. If it is the baby, the movement has been the same since about 16w.
And I have 4 mosquito bites on my legs despite the fact that Im always wearing pants. Crud. According to the CDC, 15 people in my state have Zika (all travel related). Should I be worried?

20 weeks tomorrow (!!!) and still only vague 'was that something?' twitches - full anterior placenta here, so very frustrating! x

Also... I feel like I should shout that from the rooftops.
20 weeks tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Amorini: I would think if all cases are travel related, you probably don't have too much to worry about. In order for transmission to occur, you would have to have been bitten by the correct vector species of mosquito and the mosquito that bit you would have had to have bitten one of those 15 people during the first week of their having been infected.

@Amorini: This is a local article from my city, but I found it really helpful when thinking about Zika. See what you think!

@cnidaria: @mfa_lady: Thanks, ladies. Logic says the chances are super, super, super low. The level of information out there is kind of all over the place. I liked the light-hearted yet factual info in that article at least!
@mfa_lady: Update to what I said yesterday about movement. I felt my most noticeable flip-flop yesterday. Here's hoping there's more like that!
@jaguar: Yeah for 20 weeks!

I also have anterior placenta but recently have felt some movement, which is exciting!
Does anyone else have very full, sensitive, or sore nipples and breasts?? AHH! I did not think this was a 2d trimester thing.
apricot / 276 posts
@Paddington10: Oh my God yes! My breasts are so tender and sore lately. They were in the very beginning, which was my first clue I was pregnant, but that went away around 10 weeks. Now it's back and I'm dying! Lol

@Paddington10: my boobs and nipples have totally been bigger and sensitive this week.

@FaithFertility: @avivoca: @Amorini: Same here. Sat in the parking lot and ugly-cried this morning. Once things calm down a little, I'd love to organize something sweet for her. TBD!

I'm so distracted as well thinking of winniebee. I can't even imagine. Why is life so unfair?

We got into MFM late yesterday. The news was not good. Severe spina bifida with multiple brain abnormalities. We will say goodbye to our sweet baby boy via medical induction on Wednesday, at just over 18 weeks gestation. I keep waiting for someone to wake me up from this terrible, horrible nightmare.
I'm sure giving birth and saying goodbye will be hell. But this baby is very much wanted and loved and we wanted him to leave the world in the most peaceful way possible.
Thank you for all of your kind words and support. Reading through each comment has helped me so much during this awful time.
Thank you ladies for your support now and for the past 18 weeks. I won't be able to check in much on this board anymore, but know that I wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies. Hold those precious babies tight when they come.

I hate this so much and can't believe it is happening to her. As someone who has walked this road and TFMR, I just want to scream. It's so unfair. @winniebee: all our hearts break for you.

@winniebee: My heart is just torn! You are an amazing mother, and baby boy #3 will stay in all our hearts as an Oct babe!!!
Prayers for you during this time!
Please know although we may have never met, you have shaped me as a mother with your kind words, encouragement and wisdom!
I pray I can do the same for you in some way!
Much love to you, DH, T,R and baby!

@delight: Ugh. I'm sure this brings up so much for you. Hugs (and also screaming... FTW!!) Please let us know what, if anything, we can do for her.

@winniebee: I'm so heartbroken for you. I literally have no idea what to say, because I know nothing will really lesson any of your pain. If there is some specific way you want him acknowledged on our list, let me know (no rush).

@winniebee: I am so heartbroken for your. Nothing about this is fair. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since I read your post. Hopefully your're able to make it through this next few days with a sense of peace now that you've made a decision. Lots of love!!!
