@jessiejo17: I found out I have anterior placenta too. It kind of bummed me out. Especially since it will probably take longer for DH to feel the baby kick. I am feeling some movement already though.

@mrskc: Yeah I was bummed, but actually a little happy as to have a reason why I hadn't felt as much movement as some women at 20 weeks! Hopefully soon her little legs will be strong enough to kick through it! She's a kicker/mover according to our U/S so that was nice to see!

@jessiejo17: so glad you like your pillow! I have the snoogle and I think I'm a little bit in love with it.

Hey Ladies! I am 20w3d and have been starting to feel movement a little more consistently now. I thinks its increased a bit in the last week. Still no jabs, just flutters and rolls.
I went to visit my family this weekend and everyone said I have a belly now... several of my older great aunts felt free to touch away. I guess I need to get used to that now!
I have my anatomy scan this Thursday afternoon!!! I am getting sooooooooooo excited! Less than 48 hours away :o) I really hope baby cooperates!

@mrskc: At my 16 week appt I had a posterior placenta; I don't know if it can move?
I think I did feel the first teensy bit of movement last night--it felt like little bubbles popping in my lower abdomen. Although who knows, maybe it was just in my head!
@CarrieLouWho: yay! So exciting!! Can't wait to hear if your LO is a boy or a girl! And yeah, I've heard that pregnant bellies become like magnets for people's hands! I haven't had to experience that just yet, lol.

@CarrieLouWho: woo hoo! tomorrow you find out! (hopefully!) so exciting!
my MIL had her hands all over my now showing little belly - I didn't really mind though. Actually - my mom cautiously went to touch it & i told her it was fine - then she did it all weekend, I also had 2 friends touch it! HA, I guess i don't really mind, they've all been close friends & family, and I was so excited to be finally showing, but I hope no work people or strangers feel like it's OK.
@hilsy85: i have definitely been feeling the baby and it feels like little popping sensations for me too! some are more pronounced than others

@hilsy85: hmmm I'm not sure if it can move. With a posterior placenta, you should be able to feel movement sooner than someone with an anterior placenta. That's exciting you felt some movement! That sounds like what I feel. Little bubbles or it feels like muscle spasms.
@CarrieLouWho: Can't wait to hear if you're having a boy or girl! So far just my mom and MIL have touched my belly which I don't mind. My MIL says it's good luck to rub a pregnant belly. haha What am I? Buddha or something? lol

@CarrieLouWho: I have had soooooooo many people touch my belly. Both of our moms, DH’s aunt, my older sister, a few of my friends and one random person in the store. I’ve always been self conscious about my stomach so it still kind of makes me anxious when they do it! Like I should suck in or something lol.

@Running Elley: Me too, we were at a wedding last Saturday and you would have thought I had a sign that said "rub belly for good luck!" I couldn't beleive how many peoplehad their hands on my tummy! Luckily I don't get freaked out by that stuff, unless it's a stranger I will probably be very worried then, that's just too strange for me! haha

@jessiejo17: LOL seriously! Luckily I can usually tell when it's coming

@mrskc @jessiejo17 : The pregnancy is going good (so much so that I've almost forgotten those few awful weeks of nausea!). I'm starting to feel more movement, mixed with a few big kicks every day! We are definitely finding out what we're having, mostly because I'm too curious. The ultrasound is June 4th and I can't wait!
Do you ladies know what you're having yet? Or are you going for a surprise?

@ninja: Welcome!! Glad that you joined us I'm due October 17th so we're pretty close! We found out last week that we're having a little boy
Do you have any gut feelings/preferences?
bananas / 9357 posts
@ninja: So glad things are going great! I'm due Oct 25th. We opted for the gender reveal scan, and we found out we're having a boy! I don't have the anatomy scan until June 15th and I just couldn't wait that long.

@runningelley @mrskc : I'm jealous you both already know!
I feel bad even typing it, but I'm really hoping for a boy. I know I'll be a little disappointed if I'm told girl, but I'll get over it! I don't really get much of a feeling either way, but my husband is completely convinced it's a girl.

We had our anatomy scan yesterday but looked away during the operative moment! Staying strong, TEAM GREEN! Everything looked great.

@ninja: There's nothing wrong with hoping for a boy. June 4th will be here before you know it!
@sloaneandpuffy: Yay! Glad everything checked out perfect.

@sloaneandpuffy : You are much stronger than I! Glad everything looked good for your baby!

I'm due October 6th and we found out last week we are having a girl! It was a shock we thought boy, but I'm thrilled, I'm a total girlie girl and have been shopping like crazy for cute clothes. Boys are dominating over here so you might get your wish
I was also hoping for a boy just to have the first one in our family, but surprisingly I wasn't at all bummed, I was just so happy the baby was healthy and that she will have a ton of girl cousins to grow up with.

@ninja: Haha I was hoping for a girl and I was THRILLED when they said boy! I can’t wait to hear about your LO :)@sloaneandpuffy: Yay for healthy babies and kudos to you for staying strong!

I go today to find out if it's a boy or girl!!! Our appointment is at 3:15, but I'll check in afterwards to celebrate! I've taken a poll and the majority vote is boy... ahhh, this day is going to go by sooooooo slow!!!
@Sloane&Puffy - I started out Team Green, but there is no way I could still be going strong. Way to go!!!
grapefruit / 4120 posts
@ninja: @Running Elley: @CarrieLouWho: We were Team Green with our first, but it's sooo much harder this time. My husband is waffling and trying to renege on me but I won't let him! This was his idea in the first place!!
But it's fun not knowing, and it kind of drives other people crazy which can be fun too. The doc who did the U/S told me she had gotten calls from grandparents trying to convince her to tell them the sex of the grandchild!!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@CarrieLouWho: Can't wait to hear!!!! Everyone else thinks boy...what about you? I'm going to guess Girl, just to go against the grain! haha
persimmon / 1408 posts
Yeah, I'm thinking girl too just because no one else is thinking it. But to be honest, I really don't have a feeling. I think b/c I don't want to get my heart set either way, I've kept myself neutral... only time will tell! I really hope baby cooperates!

@CarrieLouWho: Hang in there today as you anxiously await your ultrasound! So excited to hear what you'll be having!
@jessiejo17: You have a great point...I do love a lot of the really cute little girl clothes they have out now, so there's something! I know I'll be fine either way, I just worry since I was never a really girly girl!

@hilsy85: Thanks! I'm by far a newbie over here I'll be 20w 6d for the ultrasound. I would have had it sooner, but they like to schedule it with a doc appt, and my doc is out all next week
The anticipation is getting to me, but it will be worth it!
squash / 13764 posts
@ninja: Ah ok, for some reason I was doing my math wrong and thought you'd be like 22 week-duhh!! Anyway, it'll be here before you know it!! And you'll get lots of great pics of LO to take home
I have another OB appointment this afternoon. So--yay! get to see LO again, yay! half day from work , and yay! Friday before a 3 day weekend! woo hoo! Do you ladies have any fun plans for the weekend? It's been raining NON STOP for the past five days here, so I'm just hoping for som sunshine!

I'm sooo ready for the three day weekend. I'm heading up north on Saturday to visit a friend for the day. Hubby and I will be stopping by Buy Buy Baby to check out a crib and possibly another store to look at a crib since we don't have these stores where I live. Then just relax Sunday and Monday and prepare for our trip to Taiwan in one week. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend in the 80s. Is it 5 yet? lol
