    I was torn b/w these 2 -
    http://www.babyviva.com/product/girl/999513-14062/dahlia-bedding-collection.html

    http://www.babyviva.com/product/baby-bedding/999513-10932/cocalo-surie-crib-bedding-collection.html

I like the colors... but then part of me feel it's not super girly. I was digging the Dahlia the w/ the coral and blue... but wasn't sure what other accent color to use? The crib is white, so I don't really want to use cream. I think gray would work. I should probably just order the bedding to see it in person.

I really wanted to do purple... but couldn't find anything that wasn't super baby-ish (don't want cartoony flowers, etc). Any suggestions for purple???

What bedding are the rest of you going with? Maybe I'll like once of yours better :o)

I remember know, you had the similar ideas to me!

For the first one what about brown for an accent color or a yellow?

Our bedding is this: http://www.cocalo.com/item.asp?id=1452&brand=6&g=1&coll=&cat=1 and we re using ivory, brown, and mint green as accent colors. We are pulling in the coral color more, since I'm not into pink. I'm starting to wish I would have done more of a sky blue than mint green, but too late so I will make it work.

Purple Options that aren't "kiddie" that I found:

    Like any of those?

@CarrieLouWho: I love the dahlia! And I think gray would work well with those those colors.

    @jessiejo17: That's very pretty too!

I did a whole poll on bedding choices, and then completely changed my mind, lol. @mrskc, we're between this: http://www.dwellstudio.com/designer-baby-boutique/nursery-bedding/owls-canvas-crib-skirt.html

Or this crib skirt and sheet: http://www.annettetatum.com/nursery-perfect-fit/c118_326/p5021/forest-whisper-perfect-fit-crib-sheet/product_info.html#.T-pdCmt5mSM

@CarrieLouWho: Oh yes, I remember your thread about your bedding. I still like the Dahlia better. You could pair it with gray or yellow. Or maybe navy blue and gold accents? Or just navy blue? I love the coral and blue theme. Super cute.

@hilsy85: Ahhh those are both so different! I guess it depends what kind of style you want to go with. I personally love the owls. You could do a woodland theme. It would be so cute!

    @jessiejo17: Love yours! Very pretty.

@mrskc: I know, they have very different feels...Dh is really into doing a "park-like" theme, so doing like a tree decal or something. Which I think would work with either. I think I might end up ordering them both after we paint and get the crib, and see which one looks better in person.

I bought this baby blanket off Etsy.
    https://www.etsy.com/transaction/85020784

This is where I first found the bedding:
    http://www.babybedding.com/gray-zoology-crib-bedding
I'm not really liking the crib skirt though. So I'm thinking about trying to make a crib skirt with the Michael Miller fabric and then doing a plain sheet or maybe something with a light pattern. The bumper is not recommended anymore, right? What about when your kid is older? Is the bumper necessary?

    bananas / 9357 posts

@hilsy85: That might help you decide seeing them in person. I definitely think either can work with a park theme. My DH has no opinion on nursery decor. I guess it's good b/c I don't need his approval on my design choices. But then it's all up to me and I'm not getting help.

Everyone's picks for nursery items are so cute!!!

It's so fun to decorate a fun new room we're doing gray/yellow/whites -- with elephants and giraffes - fun!

So... Had a monthly check up today - gained 4 lbs this month! Yikes!! I def had a growth spurt belly-wise - im at 12 lbs total since getting pg... They said its fine - but I feel like I need to cool it with my bagels and cream cheese!

Also got the whooping cough vaccine - dh needs one now.

    squash / 13764 posts

@mrskc: I think you can use the bumper when they're older, but it's not necessary, unless LO is consistently getting limbs stuck between the crib slats. And yeah, it's good and bad that DH is opinionated! Mostly good, since I'm super indecisive, lol.

@hellobeeboston: Tell me about it! I had gained 15lbs at my 22wk check up--9pounds between 18 and 22weeks!!!! I was not happy, and am still kind of bummed Hoping the weight gain slows down.

  10. hellobeeboston

    honeydew / 7235 posts

@hilsy85: I think around the time we are now there tends to be a little spike in weight gain -- mostly according to friends that said the same thing happened to them! So I bet we will be ok moving forward! It's temporary though - I don't want to obsess - just want to be healthy!

  11. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@hellobeeboston: Our nurseries sound similar! Sounds cute. Thanks for the reminder about the whooping cough vaccine. I'll have to ask my doc next time I see him.

I just got done with my glucose test. Wasn't too bad. I chose the lemon lime flavor. It tasted like a flat Sprite with extra sugar. Really gross. It gave me a headache since they told me not to eat before the test. Lets hope I pass, so I don't have to do the three hour test!

  12. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@mrskc: oooh good luck! I have that test on 7/17. Question--were you allowed to drink water before/after you drank the glucose drink? I think I'll be fine not eating, but I know I"ll be super thirsty, since I always am now!

@hellobeeboston: I hope so...I'm trying to focus on the fact that I don't really look (I think) or feel like I've gained 15lbs. I just hope I haven't gained another 9lbs at my next appt!

  13. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@hilsy85: Yep! Water was ok before and after I drank the sugary drink. Just no gum or mints or food.

    @mrskc: ok phew! That's a relief

    honeydew / 7235 posts

@mrskc: good luck with the glucose test! when do you get results?

I had to do it early, at my 12 week appt, and I'm taking another one in 4 weeks - it's GROSS. my doc just said not to eat too heavily or too much sugar before, but I planned it for the morning so I'll just have an egg & toast then take it!

  16. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

@hilsy85: I have my rescheduled one on the 17th too! Luckily for me, my office doesn't make me fast just told me not to do somethign crazy like eat a candy bar or drink a full pop before. I have been trying to be good so hopefully that helps!

I gained 9 lbs from 16-20 weeks, and I about cried because it was so much in a little time. From 20-24 weeks I gained another 3, so 12 tota so farl Yikes.

  17. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@hellobeeboston: They said Mon or Tue the results should be in. They'll call if anything is not normal.

As far as weight gain goes. I've gained about 15 lbs since week 14. I'm 23 weeks now. I'm not too worried about it though. But I am feeling like I really should be getting off my butt and exercising. lol At least walking. I've been so lazy in that department.

Hey Ya'll! Sorry I've been MIA this week!
Thanks for the help on bedding... I think I found another option I like, so who know what we are going to end up with! Hopefully I can make a decision soon :o)

I just scheduled my glucose test for Tuesday 7/3. Should be fun sitting in the lab for an hour!

I was overweight before getting pregnant, so my weight gain has been a little different... I lost 15 lbs at the beginning and that stayed pretty steady for a while. I've put on about 3 lbs over the last 2-3 weeks. My doctor only wanted me to gain about 10-15 total though, so all is good.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm in VA and we have a heatwave - over 100 degrees it looks like all weekend and high 90s all next week - BOO!!!

I'm trying to mentally prepare for the scale next Thursday when I go again for the first time in 4 weeks (I'll be almost 25 weeks). I am definitely having spurts where I won't gain an ounce for 2 weeks and then bam, 4 pounds in a week.

    How is everyone doing?

I'm 24 weeks today! So excited to have made it to viability. Nothing new with me besides feeling the baby kicks getting stronger and stronger. I love feeling him! Sometimes I can just lay there and stare at my belly for half an hour and watch it move.

  22. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

@mrskc: Feeling good, although a little more tired than usually after the busy holiday! I'm glad we don't have much planned for the weekend so we can relax.

I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow, it is so crazy to think I'm almost in the 3rd trimester!!!

  23. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@jessiejo17: eek! That's so exciting!! @mrskc: I am totally the same way--I can stare at my stomach for a really long time just to watch him move around

Everything is going pretty well on my end..I am officially laid off and so have been trying to find things to keep myself busy. I just picked up some paint samples from the store so I'm going to try them out on the wall later tonight and see what we like!

@mrskc: Congratulations on viability!!! Exciting exciting

Doing good over here…25w1d. Just waiting to move and NEST. We’ll hopefully be moving next weekend and I can’t wait. We ordered a rug for baby boy’s room yesterday and we’re set on his name.

    @hilsy85:
We picked up paint swatches last week and I’m DYING to put some paint on the walls to try things out! Good luck!

@hilsy85: Thanks! I find picking out paint hard! Good luck!

@Running Elley: Thanks! How exciting to get things started on the nursery! I think I saw you use a name on an earlier thread.

  26. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: Lol wellllll I posted a thread asking for opinions on the name and I’m pretty sure that’s what we’re going to go with. DH has just been really stubborn about actually committing to it. I think now he’s just doing it to tease me! He’s stopped looking up names so I’m taking that as a good sign

This is the rug that we ended up buying! We ordered it in the green.

@Running Elley: I think I missed your name thread! We are no where near picking out a name. I mentioned to my family about the possibility of naming him after his dad. Now they keep calling him little Jack. lol We're still not sure about the junior thing though. I LOVE that rug! What colors are you doing? Besides green.

  28. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: Well we were originally trying to decide between Samuel and Nathan but then we totally flipped a switch and now it’s Beckett. Went from completely traditional to not so much lol. I just feel like that’s HIS name for some reason! I was shocked when DH actually liked it. So we’ll see! I think the junior thing is cute when the actual name is cute and Jack is adorable You could even call him JJ or something if you wanted to shorten it. The nursery is separated into an upper and lower section of wall by white crown molding so we’ll be painting the top half dark grey and the bottom half light grey. The main colors will be grey with pops of the bright green and Peter Pan touches. I can’t wait to actually see it come together!

@Running Elley: I think it's a cute name! Oh and I just looked back at the thread I thought you used the name in... I guess I'm dumb. You said Harper... but I think that was JHollers baby's name. lol! I can't wait to see how your nursery comes together! I really like the name Jack... I think my hubby is hesitant about naming him after him. We'll see! We've got some time to think it over. Other names we're thinking about are Tyler & Elliott.

  30. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc: Thanks!!! Yepp, Harper is little Holler's name lol. I LOVE the name Elliott! That was on my list too LO's middle name will be my husband's first name but it was my idea. It took him a while to get used to the thought of it/like it. I think that it would take time for me to get used to it if I was the one baby was being named after too!

ETA: Oh, and don't think I'm crazy but I definitely want to call LO Becks as a nickname. I can just picture a little blue eyed blonde toddler nicknamed Becks! *This is about the point where DH starts rolling his eyes lol

  31. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@Running Elley: I don't think you're crazy! Becks is a cute nickname! But that's too funny you picturing a little blue eyed blondie running around! I figure if we don't name him Jack, then that might end up being his middle name.

  32. Tidybee

    nectarine / 2834 posts

@Running Elley: What an adorable name!! I liked both Samuel and Nathan, but I like Beckett even more! Congrats on the house - how exciting to get in there and start nesting!
@mrskc: I think we decided on a boy's name if Baguette is a boy...Jack! He'll be named after both grandfathers. I've always loved that name, but for some reason I'm only lukewarm on it for our little guy while DH loves it. Maybe B will be a girl after all!
I'm also hanging around at 23 weeks, 4 days. Everyone is saying how much I'm growing, and I had a weigh-in to prove they're quite right. Still only up about 13 pounds but I put on 3 lbs in not quite 3 weeks which has been my quickest weight gain yet. I have my glucose test a week from today and we're registering tomorrow which I am so excited about to actually start picking out stuff for little Frances Baguette in there!

  33. Running Elley

    coconut / 8681 posts

@mrskc:Haha thanks!! I definitely think it would be a good middle name too. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either Elliott or Tyler if you decide not to go with Jack..both are classic, strong names!

    coconut / 8681 posts

@Tidybee: Thanks!!!!! Btw, I did NOT know that you were lotam until you said something to J in another thread today lol. I'm so glad that you're here And like I said to KC, I really really like the name Jack! I just have a feeling that maybe you're going to have a girl after all haha. My confidence has been shaken in any original gender thoughts that we all had and since both mine and J's were wrong I'm assuming that you're having a girl now!

I'm loving all of this nursery and name talk! You all have such great name options for your boys!!! I love Beckett and Jack!
I had my glucose test on Tuesday, no results yet, but it really wasn't so bad!
I'll be 27 weeks on Saturday, less than 100 days to go and time is really starting to fly by!!! It sounds like everyone has passed or is super close to viability, that's awesome!

  36. mrskc

    bananas / 9357 posts

@Tidybee: Ah neat! I love the name Jack.. obviously. lol And good to know that you're lotam from WB.

I've been shy to ask people if they want to share their WB username. I suspect some of you are on both with different usernames. Those of you that have the same name are obvious. I have the same avatar, so I think that makes it obvious.

ETA: if you don't want the two linked, then I totally understand!

@CarrieLouWho: Ahhhhhhhhhh less than 100 days to go I think that's a huge thing. I remember when I was counting down to our wedding. It seemed like once we got under 100 days left the rest of the time FLEW.

@RunningElley - that was my exact thought when I realized it was less than 100 days ... Wedding planning!!! You're right, after that time seemed to fly by. What's also funny is that our wedding date was 10/3 and our due date is 10/6, so the timing is identical!

Have any of you noticed a slight pressure in your lower pelvis? For me it happens every couple of days or once a day and it lasts a couple of minutes. I'm wondering if it's just the baby's position? Or if it's something to worry about. And also, (TMI sorry) are you ladies experiencing a lot of discharge?
