@mrskc: For the last couple of days I've been noticing the same thing regarding pressure in my lower pelvis. I've read that around this point baby is starting to move into a head down position so I just assumed it's baby position related. And yes to discharge
bananas / 9357 posts
@Running Elley: Ok. That's what I was thinking. They're practicing for their big day! I do feel like he gets head down sometimes and I feel kicks above my belly button now. I will also feel a lot of movement on the sides like maybe he's laying like a hammock. Then there's times I feel like he's kicking my cervix. lol I call him my little wiggle worm.
kiwi / 691 posts
@mrskc: Yes to both points, pressure and discharge! (Oh, and I love the name Jack...that will be our little boy's name!)
Looks like there's been a lot of nursery planning while I've been a little MIA...they all look so cute that I don't know how you will choose
coconut / 8681 posts
@mrskc: So cute I get kicks all over the place too and that reminds me...have any of you been able to feel baby actually kick your bladder? I swear that sometimes I just feel a kick or punch directly to my bladder and I have to go to the bathroom right away after, even if I didn't have to go before.
bananas / 9357 posts
@ninja: You're the third one who is using Jack! My hubby still doesn't want to name him after him though. I guess I can understand his hesitation.
@Running Elley: Yes! I feel kicks to my bladder and I have to go immediately! Or sometimes he's putting pressure on it and I feel the urge to go.

I am going jump in and attempt to keep up
I'm due October 14 th.
@Running Elley: I'm also feeling the kicks on my bladder and have to use the restroom right away.
Has anyone been having cramping? I've been having cramping a few times a day. Sometimes it hurts and other times it doesn't. I mentioned it to my OBGYN and she said just to make sure it doesn't happen more then 3 times in 1 hour. Could these be braxton hicks?
squash / 13764 posts
@Mrs.B: Hi and welcome! I have been having what I think are BH contractions, and they feel like my whole lower stomach gets really hard and tight, and there's like a prickling sensation...I guess it could be somewhat crampy-feeling too?
coconut / 8681 posts
@mrskc: @Mrs.B: Oh good! I thought maybe I was just imagining things Not a pleasant sensation!
Regarding the crampy feeling...I've been getting them a few times too and I'm almost positive that they're braxton hicks. They feel exactly like @hilsy85 described.
persimmon / 1408 posts
Welcome @MrsB!
No braxton hicks here. But the round ligamint pain is still hurting when I stand up or rollover in bed. I haven't had any cramping either.
PS - One of the weekly emails that I get said I started the 3rd trimester (WHAT?!?!?), but then the other said this was the last week of the 2nd trimester. So weird that places don't agree! I hit 27 weeks on Saturday, 90 days to go - YIKES!
bananas / 9357 posts
@Mrs.B: Welcome! I find it easier to keep up with this thread than the WB one. Do you know what you're having?
Wow! I can't believe we're all getting so close to the third tri already. Anyone finding that their bumps are starting to get in the way? Bending over is getting a little harder. I'm also finding I can't fit through tight spaces like I used to.
coconut / 8681 posts
@CarrieLouWho: I was wondering earlier when exactly the third tri started. I'm pretty sure it starts as you finish your 27th week so at 28 weeks? I think that's what I'm going to count as third tri lol.
@mrskc: Yepp! When I was taking off my tennis shoes after my walk this morning it was ridiculously difficult!
clementine / 961 posts
@mrskc: We are team green. Yes the fall babies thread is ridiculous to keep up with.
My bump has made it harder reaching for things. I am super short so I have to stand on my tipy toes and push my tummy on the counter to reach the top cabinets. Now I can't really do that so DH has to reach stuff for me.
bananas / 9357 posts
@Mrs.B: Awesome! I think there's another team greener on here. I don't remember who though....
honeydew / 7235 posts
@Mrs.B: welcome! and congrats!
definitely noticing the bump starting to get in the way! so funny.
i think i got my first kick in the ribs yesterday - OUCH.
no cramps really - definitely the ligament stretching occasionally, when i get up too fast, or sneeze hard (ha) - and if i walk to fast I get crampy, but as soon as I rest it stops.

I had a preterm labor scare yesterday. It was by far the scariest part of my pregnancy. We are on vacation so I had to go threw it without my OBGYN which really sucked. I had contractions from 10am-1pm when my doctor finally told me to find and go to the nearest labor and delivery unit. I did and by the time I was done filling out ALL the paperwork my contractions had stopped thankfully! I still had to be monitored for 7 hours and get a vaginal exam to check for any dialation. I wasnt' dialted at all which is great. We had our 3 year old DS with us at the hospital. He was so excited at first because he thought they were going to "crack" the baby lol. In his little mind right now he thinks all babies come from eggs and they have to crack to come out. He was pretty dissapointed when we explained today was not the day the baby would crack. Now I'm on a strict take it easy order. I can't pick up DS or do anything that involves alot of walking. I'm not on bedrest thank God but I'm now very limited to what I can do on our vacation. I NEVER want to go threw that again it was horrible. The only positive was LO going crazy kicking off the monitors. Everytime the nurse would get the monitor placed to hear LO's heartrate he/she would kick so hard the monitor lost it's placement and the nurse had to try again. It was nice seeing how strong our LO has gotten.

@Mrs.B: oh my goodness how scary! So glad you and the little one are OK - I can't imagine how freaked out you must have been! Funny about 'cracking the baby open' - cute...
Take it easy! (easier said than done with a 3 yo I'm sure)

@Mrs.B: @mrskc: Me! I'm team green
Mrs.B what a scary thing. But your son's reaction sounds precious
bananas / 9357 posts
@Mrs.B: Oh no! I'm glad everything is ok now. Take it easy! Don't want your LO making an early appearance.
@sloaneandpuffy: I knew there was someone else Team Green.
Hope everyone is doing good. For me I've been so worried lately that I'm going to go into preterm labor or something is going to happen to this little guy. I guess the worrying never stops?! I'm glad I can feel him moving all the time. It's just you hear stories... I have to try and remind myself there's no point in worrying.
kiwi / 691 posts
@Mrs.B: Welcome! And let's hope your little guy doesn't give you any more scares!
@mrskc: I can understand that your DH would have a hesitation against using his own name. I was the same way when DH suggested using my middle name for a girl middle name.
@hellobeeboston: I hear you on the hard sneezes causing ligament pain...my sneezes are generally followed by an "ouch" these days.
I just had my glucose test this morning. Has anyone else had to do a fasting 2 hr test? The took my blood right away, then had me drink the stuff, then drew again at 1 hr and 2 hr marks. After 3 draws on the same spot, my arm's a little sore. I'd never heard of a two hour one before...just the 1 hr and 3 hr ones.

@Mrs.B: Oh no! I’m so glad that everything turned out okay!
I had an OB appointment yesterday, I’m 26 weeks today! LO is in a breech transverse position so laying like in a hammock with his head on my left side. It was so good to see him and amazing to see how much he’s grown. I have my GD test on Monday. I can’t wait to get it over with!

@mrskc: I agree with the kicks being all over the place, I really wish I knew her position because it is crazy how I feel something up by my ribs and then will feel something low in my pelvis. I think she's just punching and kicking me non-stop
bananas / 9357 posts
@ninja: Mine was just an hour test. I've never hear of the two hour either.
@Running Elley: Yay for 26 weeks! 2 weeks until the third tri!
coconut / 8681 posts
@ninja: My test is just one hour but it’s funny that you mention yours is 2…. I’d always only heard of either the 1 or 3 hour tests but my husband was in doing bloodwork a few weeks ago and a lady at the lab was doing her GD test. He asked her how long the test took because I’m also pregnant and he was curious. She was doing the 2 hour one also. I wonder if it’s just a doctor’s preference kind of thing?
@mrskc: I know!!! It’s crazy to think that the third tri is almost here…. It really has flown by.

@Mrs.B: Yikes! Glad to hear everything is okay

Hi ladies,
I am new to Hello Bee, jumping over from wb boards. I love it here, was waiting for the right opportunity to jump in here, so I hope this is ok
I am finding I am reading threads and posting less and less these days, but I am still around!
EDD: October 13
How far along? 26w5d
Total weight gain: At June 25 appt I was up 24lbs, (140 pre-preg weight, up to 164lbs) so I can imagine I am up even more, back next week (July 19) for next weigh-in and appt.

Food cravings: I'll eat anything, ha! No real cravings, but no ability to say no to anything either!
Symptoms: Sensitivity to heat is probably the biggest "issue" at this point.
Looking forward to: 3D/4D ultrasound on Monday July 16, leaving for the East Coast on July 22 to see DHs family, my preemie nephew for the first time, and DHs other brother is getting married, we will be out there for 3 1/2 weeks!

Best moment this week: We have a family reunion for my husband's side of the family this weekend, that I'm really looking forward to!
Food cravings: Always craving cheeseburgers...always.
Symptoms: Nothing much, besides lots of little kicks and some BH a few times a week. I was having terrible heartburn, where I would wake up with acid shooting up my throat at night, but since my doc put me on daily prilosec, that cleared right up.
Looking forward to: My next OB appt at 28 weeks and the results of my glucose test...and the reunion!
Recent milestone: Getting the glucose test out of the way...phew!

Best moment this week: Buying a new family car! I love love love it!
Food cravings: anything sweet, but that's not any different for me even when I'm not pregnant. I just have a major sweet tooth.
Symptoms: I think I started getting BH contractions about once a day. I just got a call from my doc that I have a slight UTI. I've never had one ever, so I find that odd.

EDD: Oct. 17th

Maternity clothes? Full time except for a choice few non-maternity dresses

@hilsy85: fun!
@Running Elley: congrats on the house & move!!
EDD: Oct. 24th
How far along? 25w1d
Total weight gain: Around 13 pounds or so.
Maternity clothes? Definitely pants - till able to pull off some non-maternity shirts & dresses. I need to buy more stuff as the belly is gettin' round!
Stretch marks? None yet - fingers crossed! but we'll see....
Best moment this week: Watching him move around! My husband got to see him too - TONS of movement all of the time - it's so cool. Also - our crib came in!
Food cravings: hmm, nothing really. still lovin' bagels & cream cheese but trying to cut back a little so i'm not enormous.
Symptoms: bleeding gums! although it's gotten much better since I visited the dentist this week - have a good regimen in place... Round ligament pain when walking too far - it gets bad! can barely keep walking, but fine as soon as I sit.
Looking forward to: Putting together the crib & getting a bunch of stuff I ordered in! Nursery is painted, and the rug & crib sheets are on their way. Found a bunch of other things so the nursery is really coming together!!
Recent milestone: I guess just hitting 24 weeks - looking forward to getting into third tri!

@hellobeeboston: Oh I've had bleeding gums too!!! I always forget about that. I don't know how...I think it's so gross and I really don't like it
squash / 13764 posts
@Running Elley: woo hoo! New house!
I'm so jealous of you guys who are making progress on the nursery--we have done nothing! I REALLY need to get on painting it.
honeydew / 7235 posts
@Running Elley: I know - it is NOT FUN. Mine were REALLY bad for a few weeks, but it's getting better --- The dentist said it was just hormones & really nothing we could do. I bought an electric toothbrush, floss every day, and brush 3x a day and slowly it's getting semi-better, sorta.
@hilsy85: honestly - what got me goin' on the nursery was everyone on this board! so many had done so much so I really jumped on it one weekend - plus my MIL wanted to buy our crib & dresser, so she jumped right on it - then i went on a little online shopping spree
bananas / 9357 posts
@hellobeeboston: Be sure to post photos of the nursery! What crib bedding did you go with?
honeydew / 7235 posts
@mrskc: I will!! I never took a "before" picture - oops...
For crib bedding - I had been talking with Miss Molly's Piece Goods on Etsy about ordering this bedding:
http://www.chiccheapnursery.com/2012/real-rooms/a-shared-kids-bedroom-featured-nursery-and-preteen-room/
But - the bumper fabric she didn't have anymore - she had a white with gray elephants, and I wanted that for either the crib sheet or a skirt.... I'm not ordering a bumper - it looks cute, but seems pointless as I'll never use it.
Anyway... I went with my backup plan which was this from the Land of Nod:
http://www.landofnod.com/not-a-peep-crib-bedding/f9771
It says backordered, but you just order anyway - 2 of my items already shipped! I got the reversible crib skirt, the yellow polka dot changing pad cover, and both the gray/white and yellow/white striped crib sheets!
I wanted either a graphic elephant or giraffe print, but I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, so I'll be incorporating those elements in other ways.
I also ordered this Yellow/White Chevron rug from Urban:
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=20659470
We got a gray upholstered glider from BuyBuy Baby that i can't find a pic of anywhere online....
And we got the Babyletto White Mercer crib & am awaiting the Hudson dresser to come back in stock!
MRSKC - what did you end up going with for your crib bedding??
honeydew / 7235 posts
@mrskc: ooh - just checked out your blog -- LOVE the blue/white chevron for curtains! So cute! The other two patterns are also great, but i am lovin' the chevron right now.
which glider did you get at BuyBuy?
squash / 13764 posts
@hellobeeboston: Looooove the bedding you picked! If we had been doing gray and yellow, I definitely would have gone with that set as well! So adorable
