I had a good weekend. Not much new to report with me. I really think my morning sickness has finally gone away. I haven't thrown up or gagged in days, and I feel so much better. I can withstand smells again and I can eat so much more. It feels so good. Hope everyone else had a nice weekend.

@Jessie - that's awesome! I need to get on the ball with decluttering! Hoping to get that done in the next 2 weekends.
@MrsKC - I was so happy once I got past that stage w/ M/S... definitely feels good to be yourself again and be able to eat :o)
My appetite still hasn't completely come back, I can eat, it's just not usually very much. I really need to work on the 5 small meals a day vs. 3 regular meals.

@mrskc: yay! That's wonderful.
Not much going on with me...our nursery is still taken over by boxes and frames that need to be hung up. DH keeps saying he'll take care of it--hopefully sometime in the next month. I'm super excited for next Tuesday--we have our anatomy scan part 1, and will hopefully find out if baby is a boy or a girl!!! I can't wait! In other news, I think I have a definite bump now--It's pretty obvious in the mornings.

@mrskc: so glad your m/s is going away! Exciting!
@hilsy85: Yay for a bump!
I have a little one - I wore a tight shirt the other day and my good friend noticed - I've mostly been wearing flowy tips.
Went to buybuy baby this weekend - yikes! Everything is so expensive and there is a lot to get! Thank god for baby showers.
I got a snoogle too! So far I like it!
My next appt is this Friday - a quick check in with my OB, and will probably schedule the anatomy scan. - cant wait to see the baby again! Team green for us! But soooo tempting to be able to find out!
Is everyone else feeling pretty much back to normal? I have way more energy, my stomach is getting rounder and I can feel the stretching sometimes, not painful, just weird. Can't wait to feel the baby kick.
Also, anyone else dealing with the discharge/luecorria (or however you spell it?) Ugh.

@hilsy85: Wow your scan is coming up quick. How exciting! I didn't think they did them that early. Why are they doing it in two parts?
@hellobeeboston: Yes. I feel like my normal self again! It's so awesome. I love the second trimester. I do have a lot more discharge. Have had it for the last few weeks. Some days it's more than others.

@mrskc: Yay for no more morning sickness! Mine has disappeared in the last week too!
@hellobeeboston: I'm definitely feeling pretty much back to normal. A little slower just in general, more tired and with a bigger (and growing!) belly but feeling good! It's nice
I cracked and ordered a home fetal doppler today....I told DH that I was completely losing it nerves wise and we needed to either have a private U/S scheduled or buy a doppler soooo our doppler should be arriving in the next 2 days!
@hilsy85: Your A/S is soooo soon!!! And I'm glad that you have a bump
bananas / 9357 posts
@Running Elley: You will love the doppler. I've used mine so many times. I told myself I would only do it once a week, but I find myself pulling it out every few days. It really has calmed my nerves in between appointments.

@mrskc: Which one do you have?? I'm sure that I'll be using it ever few days too. I don't think I'll be able to help it.
bananas / 9357 posts
@Running Elley: The Sonoline B. Works pretty well. My hubby seems a little better at finding the heartbeat than me.
coconut / 8681 posts
@mrskc: Oh good, that's the one I got too Are you able to find it pretty much right away now?
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@Running Elley: I'm jealous! I mentioned getting one to my DH and he said no So I have to wait for the monthly appointments to hear the beat!
coconut / 8681 posts
@jessiejo17: My DH initially said no too but I was having U/S every 2 weeks because of my past MCs and then this month they stopped. Now I'm once a month and that combined with going off the progesterone sent me into basically a panic attack and he said we could get one lol. I did have to freeze our gym membership (I work out mostly at home and have been meaning to do it until after baby anyway since I have it for the spin classes that I can't go to anymore) to get him to agree, we basically just used the money that usually goes to the gym for the doppler.
bananas / 9357 posts
@Running Elley: Yeah pretty easily. Within a minute or two I can find it. You'll know it's it because it's much quicker than your own heart rate. And the monitor will display the bpm, so when I see it going up to 140+, I know it's the baby.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@Running Elley: Hmmm I might have to think of a compromise like this to get one! He thinks I'm silly, but I get so anxious going a whole month with not hearing anything, let alone seeing anything! I'm ready for another U/S for sure.
squash / 13764 posts
@mrskc: I know, it is soon! I think they do 2 parts to split it up so it isn't so long...it can take a while to get all the measurements, so i have 2 45 minute appts vs one really long one. I'm not complaining, i get to see baby twice and find out the gender earlier!
bananas / 9357 posts
@hilsy85: That's exciting! I'm jealous you're finding out the gender so soon. I don't see my doc until next friday and hopefully we can schedule the anatomy scan at the end of May.

hey ladies --- had a check in appt with my OB today - listened to the HB, and we scheduled our anatomy scan!! It's 4 weeks away - I'll be 19 weeks then, and we're doing it all at once - they booked an hour for the u/s! I'm so excited to see the babe again --- today when listening to the HB we kept hearing noises and the nurse said that was the baby kicking...
I'm also starting to waver on my team green decision! With the option to find out getting closer and closer I'm more & more tempted! my husband wants to find out, but he said it's up to me.... ahh, what to do....
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
I had my monthly appoitnment on Wednesday, heart rate was good and my tummy is actually measuring at 20 weeks instead of 18, so it's nice and big! Our anatomy scan is in 2 weeks, I can hardly wait to see the baby and hopefully find out if it's a boy or girl!!! My Dr. guessed boy because of the lower heart rate!
bananas / 9357 posts
@hellobeeboston: Yay for scheduling your anatomy scan! I couldn't imagine staying team green. I want to find out asap! That's so cute you could hear the baby kicking on the doppler.
@jessiejo17: Glad everything checked ok with the baby. That's so exciting your anatomy scan is coming up quick! It'll be here before you know it.

@hellobeeboston: We are also wavering on Team Green. With our first, we waited, no wavering, and it was great! (Although our strong intuition that it would be a boy was correct, so it was almost not a surprise. When he came out, no one even told me the sex until I was like, "HELLO?? Is it a boy??")
But this time around it's SO HARD. We wanted to do everything the same, but somehow it seems to matter more to know if it's a girl or another little boy.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@hellobeeboston: 143, it has slowed quite a bit, our first appointment was 179 and then 159.
honeydew / 7235 posts
@jessiejo17: oh wow - ours had been 150 and 155 the 4 times we have had it measured ---- I think that is the border so I'm not sure if that means boy or girl
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@hellobeeboston: Yeah I've heard that 140 and above is a girl, but my doctor said that 143 is actually pretty slow at this rate in the pregnancy which usually is associated with a boy! So we will see in a couple weeks, I'm so anxious to find out
honeydew / 7235 posts
@jessiejo17: ooh interesting! can't wait to hear if the Doc was right!!
coconut / 8681 posts
@jessiejo17: I'm interested to hear if your doctor was right too!!! My A/S is in 11 days so we'll be finding out in the same week
Btw everyone my doppler came in and it's AMAZING. Seriously the best money I've ever spent. It was pretty easy to find LO's heartbeat and I feel so much better. It's beating away consistently somewhere between 155 and 160bpm.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@Running Elley: that's awesome, maybe a littel girl with a higher heart rate? I always wondered if those old wives tales are true! I haven't done any of the other "test" maybe next week! 12 days for me!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@hellobeeboston: Me too! She's a friend, so she said it was her guess as a friend not my doctor, that she usually doesn't guess the genders for most patients! haha
coconut / 8681 posts
@jessiejo17: The tech at our NT scan guessed girl and LO's HB has been consistently high so we'll see…I've done the ring over the belly old wives tale too and that also pointed to girl but I know friends who they've all been wrong for so obviously we don't know for sure! However, our doctor asked at my last appt what the tech at the scan said in regards to gender and when I told him he basically took it as fact. He was like, "Well that was at past 12 weeks so it should be pretty accurate." I'm dying to know for sure!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I swear sometimes I'm feeling the baby move. I'm still not 100% sure though. I feel these tiny flutters in my belly. They kind of feel like a muscle spasm or popcorn popping in my tummy. I can't wait until they get stronger!
squash / 13764 posts
@mrskc: That's so cool!! I can't wait to feel something
Girls, I have my a/s TOMORROW!! I'm SO excited--can't wait to find out if baby is a boy or a girl! And also of course want some reassurance that everything is a-ok
I've put together a compliation of bump photos and you can actually see a difference between like 8 weeks and now (almost 16 weeks). Pretty neat, although my bump is more attractive with clothes on, lol--without my shirt, it still looks more like bloat/lumpiness.
@Running Elley: Glad you got your doppler and it's giving you some reassurance!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@hilsy85: Can't wait to hear!!! I'm so jealous I still have a week and 1/2 until my A/S! Are you doing anything special to announce it to your family and friends?
honeydew / 7235 posts
@hilsy85: so exciting that it's tomorrow!!! any ideas about the sex? have you been thinking boy or girl so far??
@mrskc: exciting! i had a couple times that i felt 'something' but i'm not sure if it was the baby or not.... since a week ago i have definitely gotten more of a bump all of a sudden! it happened kinda quickly!
@jessiejo17: a week and a half is also so soon!! mine isn't for 4 weeks!
squash / 13764 posts
@jessiejo17: Hmm I don't know! We're not having any sort of gender reveal party..maybe I'll buy a cute sex-specific onesie or something and send it out? I haven't put anything on facebook yet, so maybe I'll post a picture of it there as well. I'm not very creative I guess!
bananas / 9357 posts
@hilsy85: Yay! So exciting that you get to find out tomorrow! Do you have a feeling one way or the other?
@jessiejo17: Yours is coming up fast too!
@hellobeeboston: Don't feel too bad. I don't even have mine scheduled yet.
squash / 13764 posts
@hellobeeboston: We have both been thinking boy, but my sister thinks it's a girl...can't wait to see who's right Hopefully baby is cooperative!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@hilsy85: That would be cute! I think we are doing a gender reveal BBQ, however we are going to find out together at the doctor's office, so we have some time to have the secret just the two of us
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@mrskc: Haha I know, it's coming up I'm just very excited so the time is dragging a little!
squash / 13764 posts
@jessiejo17: Aw sweet! I guess actually since this weekend is mother's day, maybe we can do something fun then? Although, knowing us, we'll be too excited and just blurt it out!
