So symptom check-in time!!! I've started with
My worries again due to lack of symptoms - zilch, nada. Boobs are even less sore - but at 5 weeks, I'm remembering that all you ladies ahead of me in this process were complaining about the same thing last week!!

But what about y'all, symptoms started making an appearance?

Ps. I'm such a nerd - I keep wishing I could attach a spreadsheet to our page and keep track of all the little details of everyone's progress and compare are pregnancies!

@runnerd: I'm 5w 5d, and over the last week my fatigue, bloating, and sore boobs have lessened :-/. I'm still peeing frequently, and it's getting more and more uncomfortable to sleep. No signs of nausea yet....

@duckduckkristen: yay for a happy appointment!

@runnerd: I'm 4w6d so my only real symptoms so far are extreme fatigue and tender boobs.

We told my parents and brothers last night. They didn't think it would happen for a loooong time so they were surprised and so happy. We aren't going to announce to others until we see/hear the heartbeat. But it's a relief to have my immediate family know. This will be the first grandchild for my parents and they are elated.

@runnerd: No symptoms here at all (except fatigue...but as a second grade teacher this is nothing new!) Cramping has stopped completely...I'm 6 weeks 1 day (at this stage I can count the days, right?!!) and wish I felt SOMETHING to let me know the little baby is growing as it should.

@runnerd: I'm 6 weeks today, I don't really have many symptoms, still peeing frequently, still have some minor but regular cramping ( which sort of freaks me out... But no spotting so...?), and I'm just hungrier than normal. Nothing that makes me feel truly pregnant.

@runnerd: I'm 7w2d and I had my first bad bout of nausea yesterday, but I feel okay again today. Other than that, I don't have too many symptoms either. I'm peeing a lot, but I have also been drinking a ton of fluids. I've had some full headaches, but that might be from the lack of caffeine.

I'm off to Jamaica for a week. Hopefully this trip will help mr relax and stop worrying some. Good luck with all of the appointments over the next week. No Internet for me. It's time to relax and drink some virgin fruity drinks!

@runnerd: I may have spoken too soon re: the nausea. Since getting out of bed this morning I've been having waves of queasiness, feeling a little lightheaded, and was repulsed by the sight of DH's breakfast. Could be a fluke, I probably just jinxed myself earlier!

@futuremama: Have a great trip!!! Some sun sounds wonderful to me right now, enjoy!

@runnerd: still few symptoms here. Boobs are only sore right after I get up in the morning. I pee a lot due to drinking lots of water. Cramping seems to have subsided other than when caused by my severe constipation. Today though I have broken out in acne everywhere. 2 on my face, 2 on my boobs, 1 on my shoulder, and 2 on my forehead. Thank you pregnancy lol...not! So don't feel alone. I still don't feel very pregnant either.

@futuremama: Have fun!! I'm trying to convince DH to bite the bullet and book a trip for March. What part are you going to? We've been to Whitehouse a few times and just love it. Such a beautiful island!

@marionberry: lol! I think we must be on a similar symptoms schedule... I was JUST looking at the acne (chest, jaw, face, jaw) and thinking wtf!

Hi Ladies! Sorry for being MIA - I was in NYC this past week for a work offsite with limited access to our phones/computers during the day. My appointment (8w1d) is on Tuesday and I cannot wait! I'm curious to see if my EDD will remain 9/9.

@runnerd: As for symptoms, my acne is out of control - jaw, forehead, chin, chest, back. My enhanced sense of smell is annoying too - everyone was drinking at these work events and the smell of liquor was too much. The nausea continues to come in waves too. Other than that, all else is normal.

@char54: @nblchicago: How funny! Attack of the acne. Better go buy some more cover up lol.

@marionberry: Seriously! I hadn't seen some of my colleagues in a long time and I was so embarrassed of my face - so frustrating. And I'm pretty sure a bunch assumed I'm pregnant due to my lameness of not boozing every night.

@runnerd: @MrsStormy: these are my symptoms exactly.

I'm betting my inlaws and a close couple friends figure out in pregnant tonight. I didn't think I can put off not drinking without them realizing. We're ok with it bc we were going to tell them after Wednesday but we'll see if they figure it out.

@jetsa: have you thought about just going for it and telling them so you can have fun with it tonight?

@char54: I'm trying to convince the DH for a sunny vacation soon too!! I want a super early baby moon so I can still feel comfy on beach!

@MapleMoose: it's so fun seeing people's excitement! I can't wait til we can start telling more people!

@NBLChicago: exciting! 8wk and getting up hear heartbeat will be awesome!

@runnerd: my hubby really wants to wait until we hear the heartbeat and he has special ways he wants to tell them so yea. =\

  21. mlm2934

    grapefruit / 4311 posts

@jetsa: totally understandable! i am the same way - swore to DH that we aren't telling anyone besides the 5 people we told already until a heartbeat!

He's dying to share the news so badly, that he told the IT guy (who he trusts to keep quiet) at work Friday! I haven't even told my dad, and his IT guy knows! Lol

Well, I may be too scared to start making actual purchases, but that doesn't mean I don't have my neutral, woodsy, owls/birds, gray nursery mood board complete (I actually already own the hooks and owl lamp so can kinda say nursery is started)

@runnerd: love the wallpaper - my nursery inspiration is really similar, though we're going for "Fantastic Mr Fox, with a woodsy twist"

@futuremama: @mango.sprays: I started another thread about coping with morning sickness, lots of useful tips coming in if you're interested keeping a full stomach being top of the list - and 7-8 weeks seems to be prime time for it to hit. Hope you're not suffering too much - I've been miserable all week!

@runnerd: my husband is totally telling tonight. He's so excited its so cute! Our nursery's are going to be so similar I have the same decal for ours!

@runnerd: haha I know. His parents were so excited! We are going to tell my parents today hopefully. I'm excited on our nurseries too. I'm going with a gold paint because we have gray elsewhere in the house
    Here's my pinterest board! http://pinterest.com/asunw86/nursery/

@runnerd: ohhhh love it!! My house is full of owls (I said I liked owls once and that's what my family has been buying me for christmas/birthdays ever since, lol) so I'm thinking of doing a similar theme for the nursery. Love those hooks!!!

@jetsa: Isn't it fun telling??!!! We were going to wait until 10 weeks when I heard the heartbeat but DH was actually the one who caved and wanted to tell early so we decided to tell our parents and sisters only. It was SUCH A FUN DAY!!! My dad has been calling every day to check up on 'his baby' and make sure I'm okay. My mom is in Toronto this week and has been picking up things left right and centre. She just texted me: "I wish I knew whether I was having a boy or a girl!"

@runnerd: Gorgeous!!! I have been having so much fun on Pinterest/Etsy. I created yet another secret board and my mom/sisters/sister in law/mother in law and I have all been pinning to it. First baby of the family= lots of excitement.

Anyone else exhausted?? I am soooo tired - 7:00 every night and I'm wiped. By 8:30, 9:00 I am zonked.

I thought this weekend I would be able to stay up a bit later...DH and I rented Knocked Up last night and I fell asleep as soon as the lights dimmed. lol

I wonder if fatigue continues throughout the entire pregnancy? I'm on my feet all day as a 2nd grade teacher and not sure how much longer I can function like this!! And on that note, I'm off to bed

@char54: I'm having the same problem. Teaching is tiring as it is and now it seems no matter how much sleep I get, I'm still exhausted. I've heard that it gets better during the 2nd tri. I hope this is true!
