Good Luck today @marionberry: & @rosiegirl: I can't wait to hear all about it! I'll be thinking of you today!

@char54: It is so fun telling and everyone is so happy and excited! The first grandchild on both sides. Also I've got 3 younger sisters who couldn't be anymore excited to be aunts
@char54: @colee: I feel the same way on the exhaustion and I'm not on my feet all day. I overdid it Saturday and slept pretty much all day yesterday, which is so not me. I've also heard it gets better in the 2nd tri so I'm counting down, 6 more weeks lol.

@marionberry: @rosiegirl: YAY!!! I can't wait to hear all about it. I wish I didn't have to wait another 2.5 weeks (but who's counting??)
@jetsa: Haha - Are you me?! I also have 3 younger sisters who have been dropping not to subtle hints about becoming aunts for the past year and it will be the first baby on each side.

Hi ladies Last week was a rough one -- my beloved Frenchie had to have emergency spinal surgery. Enter extreme worry for his well-being as well as our savings. Ugh.
So I've missed so good stuff! So glad appointments are of to a great start! I keep thinking how neat it is that we all get to go through these stages together and wonder what we'll be talking about by September!
I've been troubled by something in the past couple of days: my breasts have been steadily swelling and last week I actually bought a new bra because none of mine fit. A couple of days ago, I noticed they have "gone down" enough to wear the old bras again...is swelling and shrinking a normal thing? I'm worried it's happened due to a lack of pregnancy hormone or something. My first appointment isn't for another week...

@MamaMagpie: I'm convinced boobs are subject to "bloating" - i have zero scientific evidence to support this theory, but mine have also been fluctuating in size.
today they are huge. tomorrow? who knows.
if you are concerned, POAS. i know we've been trying to wean ourselves off of that, but if it will ease your mind, go for it.

@char54: haha def. my MIL owns a beauty shop and has a small gift shop attached and she was already going on and on about some toys our child 'needs'. Lol

@MamaMagpie: Mine too! It makes me nervous as well. But they seem to have gone back up today.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mamamagpie: Mine have a tendency to look bigger or smaller depending on the day. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I know how high your anxiety runs prior to seeing your baby on the u/s and knowing things are ok. That's me now.
Speaking of which, today I was walking in to work with a friend/coworker (also pregnant, 1.5 months ahead of me) and I mentioned the u/s and she was like "oh ya that's today". I said "yes, I'm anxious" and she said, "well good anxious right?" I said, "well good and bad since this is our first u/s and we don't know what it will show" and she goes, "well ya, especially since you haven't gotten really sick." It sounds stupid, but totally irked me. So now she thinks I'm at higher risk for miscarriage because I haven't had morning sickness? My mom didn't have morning sickness at all with me. I know she didn't mean it mean and I'm just being hormonal, but it was not the thing to make me feel better. So many of us don't really have strong symptoms and it's highly unlikely we're all miscarrying. But it did nothing to quelm my fears over today's u/s. Just praying and crossing everything I own that we see a heartbeat and I can start to relax.

@marionberry: Aww, what a horrible thing to say even if she didn't mean it. I hope everything is perfect on the ultrasound!

@marionberry: I would feel exactly the same way if she said that to me!!! She should now to be more sensitive to worries of newly pregnant since she's right in the same arena with ya!

@runnerd: Ya you'd think right? Oh well. An hour and a half until I get to leave for my u/s. Yay!

@jetsa: Okay this is freaky. My mom owns a gift shop and is currently on her buying trip in Toronto..she's been texting me non-stop with things she wants to get for baby!
@marionberry: Ugh that is a rotten thing to say!! I haven't had any M/S either but I remind myself neither did my mom and neither did a lot of women who had healthy babies. I can't wait to see how your appointment goes...I've been refreshing all day!

Had my 2nd US today. The baby was measuring 6 wks 1 day, so it hasn't grown. The heartbeat went from 99 last week to 105 this week. So its up, but super low. My dr said she hasn't seen anything like this and doesn't know what to think. She said you will either lose the baby or not, and I am kind of just hanging in the middle. I don't know what to think or do. I have to go in for another US on Thursday to see if the heart rate is going up any more. I know we didn't want this pregnancy in the beginning, but we REALLY don't want to lose this baby. The timing wasn't quite right but we have gotten so excited about it lately. I'm heartbroken that I am losing this baby.

@Rosie Girl: I am so sorry. It must be so difficult to not have a definite answer. I wish your doctor could have told you for sure what is going to happen. I am hoping, praying, wishing that you will see some growth on your Thursday ultrasound. *hugs*

@Rosie Girl: I am so so sorry that you're still in this gray area....I can't even imagine what you must be feeling. Hugs!

@rosie girl: I'm so sorry to hear that! Not knowing has to be the worst thing that could be going on. An increase in heartbeat seems good though. I will be praying for your little one!

@Rosie Girl: what a horrible horrible limbo to be placed in! saying prayers for you and your baby!

@RosieGirl: I am so sorry you are in this position. Thinking of you

@marionberry: Don't worry, I'd feel the same way if someone said that to me. The first trimester is nerve-wracking enough without people throwing in their two cents about every little thing. Looking forward to hearing about your appointment today.
@Rosie Girl: I'm praying for you and your baby. I hope you can get some good news quickly.

Just on the way back from our ultrasound. Our baby is measuring right on track and we got to see and hear the heartbeat. 122 bpm. So happy!

@Rosie Girl: I'm so sorry you're in this limbo. I'm hoping and praying that your little one is ok and that you're not going to lose it. I'll be thinking of you.

@marionberry: WOOHOO! Congratulations!!! That is such exciting news. Now you can shove it in your friend/coworker's face - what an awful thing to say to you RIGHT before your U/S. I'm glad all is well. I'm in that pre-U/S anxious/nervous boat too... my appointment is at 2 pm CST tomorrow. Eep!

@NBLChicago: everyone starting to have their appointments is going to make the next two weeks feel even longer for me

@NBLChicago: Mine is at 9am tomorrow....DH is out of town so my mom is going with me. I'm just praying that they are going to do an U/S even though it's early for me...
Good luck tomorrow afternoon!!

@runnerd: Seriously... this has been the longest day of my life!
@mango.sprays: Yayyy! So awesome that yours is early tomorrow. You're ~6 weeks, right? I think it's totally fair to ask for an U/S tomorrow. Are you going to push for it? Good luck and keep us posted! I'm convinced/worried DH and I will be waiting and waiting and waiting for the doc.
apricot / 446 posts
@NBLChicago: Yep, right at 6 weeks. I'm definitely going to push for one, as I've had an ectopic in the past and I want to make sure this bean in is the "right place"...and I feel like the doctor will too. Argggg SO NERVOUS.
