Due Date: 9/24/2013 (original due date was 9/17 but OB pushed it back a week after my first ultrasound where we did see a strong heartbeat of 153!)
Months It Took to Conceive: 4 months
DPO You Found Out You Were Preggo On: 10
Symptoms That Made You Think You Were Pregnant: Pulling sensation in right ovary and then implantation cramping and spotting. Tested 2 days after spotting and got the BFP.

Ugh ladies - I am down for the count. woke up yesterday with a terrible sore throat so went to the doctor today. He basically said it's either strep or mono and sent me for tests. He also ordered an HCG and put me off work for the rest of the week. He gave me an antibiotic and I was the crazy lady asking him 10 times (and the nurse, and the pharmacist....) if it was safe to take in the first trimester. Everyone reassured me it was, as did Dr. Google.

I feel like I have spent the first trimester sick - not morning sickness, but cold, flu, and now this. I am never ever sick so this is new to me, but Dr. said when you are pregnant your immune system is depreciated and working in an elementary school is just a breeding ground for bugs.

So now I'm resting up and loading up on popsicles. I'm excited for our appointment Friday and no matter what kind of shape I'm in I will be there!! Can't wait to see our little nugget Which, for the record, I'm thinking is a BOY! That's what Cheri22 told me , and she has to be right, right?

@marionberry: I only ordered it after I was pregnant. She said boy, September, full term, easy labor, and a bit about his personality that was fun.

That's crazy that she was right about you!! I have heard good things.

@Mrs squirreld: I'm gonna have to check out the Chinese calendar. I have idea on conception timing though, most of BD was early, so girl, but we BD day before O, so guess no idea which time it was

@Mrs squirreld: ugh! I want this test! Oh and I checked Chinese calendar and it says girl.

I don't know how I'll make it 3 more months not knowing

Sorry I was MIA over the weekend, I need to go through and catch up on everything, but in the meantime, my appointment went well, mostly uneventful, I knew I wouldn't be seeing the Dr. or getting an US, they just went over paperwork with me, do's and don'ts, did a pee test, things like that. I will get a US in 3 weeks at 11w 4d, so its a bummer to wait that long but whatever, its not too far off (at least thats what I'm telling myself). They said at that appointment I will see but not hear a heartbeat, can't you normally hear a heartbeat by that far along?

Anyways, updating for my next appointment, and I have no idea on gender, but I'm sort of thinking boy for no real reason.

@MrsStormy: I have an appt at 11w4d too and they are going to use the doppler to hear the heartbeat and will only do an ultrasound if they can't find it. So I'd think they should be able to hear it at that point.

@char54: I had the same fear at my first appt. its like its not real until the dr tells you it is.

@char54: when says "they" who is "they"? Lol

@char54: lol - when I think of psychics I think of them talking to dead relatives so I have weird image of all your grandparents and great grandparents who have passed on telling her all about the baby. Which could be kinda sweet haha

@char54 I feel the same way about thinking I am not pregnant sometimes. I also have my first doctor's appt on Friday. Can't wait to just confirm that there is something there and everything is ok.

Well I am officially freaking out, my coworker just asked me if I was pregnant! I told you I was already starting to show I feel depressed and fat, but also I said yes because I both panicked and felt guilty lying, I swore her to secrecy, but now I'm totally panicked something bad is going to happen, and I have to wait 3 weeks to know anything!

ETA: now I can't help but look up all these stats about miscarriage and I can't find anything for the odds this far along when I haven't heard a heartbeat or seen anything on an ultrasound. I seriously don't understand why it seems like almost everyone gets earlier information than what I am getting.
