@MrsClownfish: We did one for our wedding and it worked great for people who lived far away. Most of our gifts came from the box stores though. It did link our box store registries and our online registry though, so we could see what was being purchased at all times. I'm considering doing this again for our baby shower too.

@MrsClownfish: I have a pretty decent amazon registry put together (you can add things from anywhere) but I know a lot of my guests won't use it so I need to set up one a store too but I haven't decided where yet. BRU and BBB are at least 2 hours away so that seems to be a waste, maybe target but their return policy is ehh.

Oh my gosh, I've missed you guys! I was away for a week and only had my phone and it wouldn't load HB properly and kept freezing so I just kind of gave up

Had our 15 week appointment today and apparently everything is measuring right as it should and our baby is moving around a lot (though I can't feel it yet). My OB doesn't want to do the anatomy scan until 20 weeks, so I changed my appointment date below. We still may do an elective screening before that though. Anyone else thinking of doing that? Oh and if you saw my board post, I am having itchy belly problems with light pink spots. Totally annoying. How is everyone else doing?

@marionberry: We did an elective gender scan last Sat at 16 weeks. Its a boy! We invited family over for a small gender reveal party that night. I loved finding out early, made the whole pregnancy seem more real.

We picked up our new SUV yesterday - I feel like a mom now! Lol. I can't wait to drive LO from the hospital in just 6 months

@char54: Supposedly we may not be far from feeling our babies move. I read you can feel it as early as 16 weeks...but that's not true for everyone. I'm really hoping I can feel it early! And ya my appt was like "wham, bam, thank you mam". I guess now that I'm past the big tests and screenings it's just a measurement and doppler? I couldn't believe how little time we had with our doctor.

@marionberry: I know, the last time it was like a 5 min heartbeat, weight check, that's about it.
I'm realt hoping next week we are able to feel something!!

@marionberry: Nothing too fancy. We had the party the same day as the ultrasound since my parents live out of town and my mom wanted to come to the ultrasound. I pre-ordered a cake and had the ultrasound tech write down the gender in an envelope. Then I took the envelope to the bakery and had them write the gender on top of cake and seal it in the box! It was hard not to peek at the cake but fun for my husband and I to be surprised and find out with family.

Just so everyone who was on my Pinterest board knows, I "outed" it from a secret board to a public, but I deleted you all from it first otherwise I noticed that will appear on your feed/your boards, which would be bad if you hadn't outed yourself yet! EEK!

We're having a boy, too!!!We are doing a fun reveal to my side of the family tomorrow -- I bought a "boy" layette and wrapped it like a present, then to decide who gets to open it I'm going to hide an Easter egg and whoever finds the special egg gets to do it! My Jewish husband is excited to watch his first egg hunt

@MamaMagpie: Not as long as the 5 weeks I was going to have to wait for the regular one so I'm sure I can manage.
My DH runs imaging centers and says the best 3d pics come after 24 weeks. You'll have to share them again when you do them so we can see the changes.

@marionberry congrats on getting your appt scheduled. Also at our appt Thursday I expect nothing more than a weight check and Doppler! I turn 27 in 3 weeks and have decided I want to go zip lining, my husband and sis think I'm nuts but he's agreed to go if the midwife oks it so I need to ask that!
My aunts thought I was crazy at Easter bc of the lunchmeat rule. The one said,"mom had a cocktail in hand when she went into labor with me" LOL. Anyone else had any skeptics? I find it funny because I've been having whatever I want in moderation so it was odd to hear them think the rule was crazy

@jetsa: I would love to go ziplining. I don't know why it wouldn't be ok unless the harness pulls on you. And 27 is a great age ;). Oh I hate all of those rules about what you can or cannot eat. There are some I obey (like no sushi or alcohol) and some I do not (like no frozen yogurt/soft serve ice cream or no lunchmeat). If my mom ate it when she was pregnant with me I figure I can eat it now.

@marionberry: yeah i think the rules are a little over the top... but then again I try to be "safe" although I did eat some tinned smoked oysters the other day and then found out you aren't supposed to eat them...opps... but really Listeria in something tinned, I 'd say the risk is pretty low. I know some people who wouldn't eat cooked bacon or mayo... I mean really? I know everyone has a right to choose, but I think its crazy!
I bought my first bit of nursery furniture today!! SO exciting! It's second hand but when its in perfect condition and I save $800 from new..I don't care lol!!! It's a change station. Basically 6 drawers with a change area on top! Excited!

@jetsa: I'm in the moderation camp as well. I eat soft serve ice cream, Hot dogs, lunch meats, and I snuck a bite of cookie dough yesterday. I think our culture has such a fear inducing view of pregnancy/child rearing.
My parents are total skeptics though - my dad and aunts don't understand why I'm not still down hill skiing /hot tubbing, etc. I so miss skiing but feel that carries way more risk than eating a ham sandwich!
On another note, my mom made an Easter basket for the baby. It was so precious!! She found this sleep sack with a picture of an English bulldog on the front - it looks just like our dog!!she also got me some oxo plates, cups etc that I've heard a lot of good things about. It's so strange to be far enough along to start buying things!

I don't have my own pic yet as my mum picked it up for me and its still at her house, but here was the for sale photo! I'm going to change the drawers handles, so will definatley post a pic again once it's got my "set up". Oh and it also has "hidden" wheels so ill be able to move it around the room easy if I want!! -
