@jetsa: @mrsmoreau: We have actually been pretty lucky in looking for a nanny (so far), we don't have a definitive situation yet, since its pretty far away. My husband works at a homeless shelter and he has volunteers who have worked in schools forever but have retired or been laid off (education where I live is very hard to get work so there are a lot of unemployed educators) who are looking for part time work, and I work in employment services, so we sort of had people in mind or knew where to look. We also have a lot of students in our area, many of which are older returning students, who are looking for part time work. So we have been lucky, I hope that continues to be the case when it comes to finding a final person!

@mrsmoreau: I love your baby hat!
@mrsstormy: We would love to get a nanny but at $10/hr it ends up being really expensive. I'm starting to stress about the daycare situation.

My anatomy scan went great today! Jackson is officially for sure a boy and everything measures right on. DH couldn't go so I'm excited to show him the DVD tonight.

@marionberry: Yay for your healthy boy! I know nanny's are crazy expensive; good luck finding a childcare situation! It is super stressful trying to decide whats best, and so hard to plan when its still far away!

Had 2nd ultrasound this afternoon. Everything looked good. Here's a scary smile from our little peanut. Sort of jeally of the 3d pics some of you have had.

@Joanlindsay: We had a bunch of those scary pics too! Crazy how they look like aliens from that view. So glad your ultrasound went well!

@Mrs squirreld: this was my first go at crocheting a hat - i've done afghans and scarves, etc. but never a hat. I am actually considering making them to sell, we have a FSOT group here that I am sure I could sell to. Just trying to think of ways to make a few extra dollars!
DH felt the baby move last night for the first time!!! She is hanging so LOW! his hand had to be pressed in just above my pelvic bone for him to feel anything. I have an anterior placenta, so it's difficult to feel anything from the outside
still struggling with the name game. Thank God we have some time... although it seems to be flying by!!

@Meltini: Congratulations! Thats wonderful news! Lots of baby boys here
@mrsmoreau: So jealous you got to feel the baby from the outside, thats exciting!
@Joanlindsay: That smile pic is hilarious! I can't wait to get our next US and see how much more detail there will be.

@mrsmoreau your hat is adorable. I totally think you could sell it. I think about doing something crafty for profit but, I honestly don't know when I would actually get it done.
@mrsstormy it was really fun to see baby waving and putting his/her hands by its face. Truly the only "cute" pics are of baby's feet and toes. Those are super sweet.
@meltini congrats on the sweet boy.

@jetsa: geeze is it really that time already? my baby shower for DS wasn't until January 19th (he was born February14th) so mine was super late in the game haha

@mrsmoreau: We are having mine in July because we have a family wedding in August and everyone thought that after that would be too late!

So much catching up to do! I was away all week in Sedona, AZ (a seriously gorgeous and tranquil place) for a sales meeting and there was absolutely no signal out there!
Just wanted to share that our anatomy scan went well! All body parts present and accounted for and looking good Here are a couple of pics!

@mrsmoreau: wow that hat is too cute! Good job When is Mrs Moreau's Etsy Emporium opening?
I have started to go a bit wild with buying bits and bobs now - I went to Ikea and Kiddicare (massive UK baby shop) yesterday and got drawers, onesies and a really cute diaper bag, and then today have been out looking at pushchairs with my mum... I think I might have settled on the Babystyle Oyster - not 100% sure yet but may make a purchase this month if any good deals come up over the public holiday weekend we have coming in a couple of weeks...
@marionberry: Yay for a great appointment, shame your DH had to miss it (Mine missed ours too, but I have to go back for a final check on May 20th so hope he'll come then since I can't get a DVD from the hospital)
@jetsa: Yay for shower dates! My friends who are organising my shower just told me the date last night (10 Aug), so excited!

I'm feeling a bit average tonight not even sure why!! But my little man did cheer me up when I had a lay down and he did 3 of the biggest kicks!! I easily felt them from the outside! SO cool that they are only going to get stronger now
Anyways I thought we'd just do a bit of a regroup.....
Due: September 20
Located: Australia
Child #: First
Team?: Blue!
Kicks?: Still have quiet days but feel them pretty constantly. Biggest kicks I've felt so far tonight! Was awesome.
How I'm feeling: Pretty good! Glad the morning sickness is under control and the headaches seem to be easing. I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable at night though. I am super glad its becoming winter here though, it's nice to snuggle down!
Cravings?: None so far. I think I have become extremely fussy with food, there isn't much I ever feel like. I have noticed I'm drinking a lot more milky drinks and I don't even like milk!
Baby names: We have one we really like, but still aren't 100%. DH doesn't want to actually "name" him until he his born.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrssquirreld: Great idea!
Due: September 19
Located: Oregon
Child #: First
Team?: Blue!
Kicks?: They keep getting stronger! We've had a few days where they're really intense and I make DH feel them. I can't wait to actually feel body parts through my stomach and such.
How I'm feeling: Pretty good! Still dealing with bouts of constipation and its now the beginning of allergy season so that will be rough. Also feeling more tired than the first trimester. But overall doing great.
Cravings?: No true cravings. This baby loves sweet things (ice cream, candy, waffles, etc.) and the whole pregnancy I've been big into cheese.
Baby names: Jackson Tennessee - a tribute to the south, where my husband is from. We just love his name!
persimmon / 1436 posts
@marionberry: thank you! Yes, it is so crazy to see their little faces! They gave us the recording of the whole ultrasound and I just watched it and am still just blown away!
@mrssquirreld: great idea!
Due: September 18
Located: California
Child #: First!
Team?: Blue
Kicks?: Still feeling more of the "rolling" movements vs kicks, but have had a few of those per day. DH still hasn't been able to catch any, though, so I'm really looking forward to when he can feel them (I've felt some with my hands, but they're pretty random and LO isn't cooperating for DH).
How I'm feeling: Finally pretty good! I've only gotten sick twice in ten days, so that's a win! Energy and appetite are pretty good, too!
Cravings?: Mine have been fairly normal on the wierd-pregnancy-craving scale, but are pretty out of the ordinary for me: frozen yogurt, bagels with cream cheese, frozen berries, pub cheese...
Baby names: We have a "short list" and probably won't actually name him until he's born. Short list (as of now) include: Porter, Arlo, and Harrison (which is totally going against tradition of naming him after a passed loved one, but it's a play off DH's middle name and we really like it).

Due: September 20
Located: Canada
Child #: First !
Team?: Green
Kicks?: I've been feeling (what I think is) the baby for the past week or so....Dh can't feel anything yet. I'm excited for him to be able to!
How I'm feeling: I've been feeling pretty great! Besides for having some sleepless nights (a body pillow has worked wonders) my energy is back and I am loving it.
Cravings?: Apples, apple juice and Mr Freezes!
Baby names: If LO is a girl: Charlotte Catherine, if a boy: Laughlin Samuel
I had a great weekend - DH and I went down with my family to my little sister's graduation. We had so much fun - lots of laughs and great food :). DH and I spent the ceremony going through the program looking at the graduates names trying to get some inspiration, lol. I also was able to pick up some more maternity clothes essentials since there is no stores in my town that sell maternity items. I got some shorts, a bathing suit, shirts, skirts, and a pair of pajamas that can be used PP with a nursing bra built in. I'm hoping that I'm DONE with buying clothes since they are so expensive!!
persimmon / 1436 posts
@marionberry: Thank you! We definitely like it a lot
@char54: I love both of those names!
apricot / 284 posts
Hi girls, how is everyone? I am struggling with what to wear as my lower-half has offically outgrown most of my pre-preg clothes and I haven't yet got enough maternity clothes to wear for the changing (getting warmer) weather here in the UK!
Due: September 12
Located: UK
Child #: First !
Team?: Green
Kicks?: Yes! Big ones, small ones - even SAW my stomach move last night... it tickles and makes me giggle every time
How I'm feeling: Pretty great! Aside from a bit of hip pain when I'm sleeping, and having real problems finding enough to wear in my current wardrobe
Cravings?: Soft-serve icecream, pickles, Sprite.
Baby names: If LO is a girl: possibly Constance or Elena, if a boy: Franklin or Hugo maybe?
@MamaMagpie: I love Arlo, such a cool name!
@marionberry: Jackson's name is so cool, loving the southern tribute

Due: September 9/10 (depending on whether you go by anatomy scan or LMP)
Located: Pennsylvania
Child #: 2 biological, 5 total including step-children
Team?: Pink
Kicks?: feeling them from inside and out - but not consistent yet
How I'm feeling: Exhausted all the time, now starting to get frequent headaches
Cravings?: I'm craving sweets all the time.
Baby names: NO IDEA! kicking around Penelope Jane, Felicity Rose.... but still looking. I don't seem to like any girl names...

Due: September 24
Located: Illinois
Child #: 1!!
Team?: Blue
Kicks?: Nothing yet. Felt some fluttering once but nothing since.
How I'm feeling: Fantastic! I told DH the other night that pregnancy is so easy that I am thinking it might not be a bad idea to have 2 babies close together
Cravings?: Sweets, sweets, and more sweets. Very unusual for me since I never ever crave sweets. We typically don't have candy or chocolate in the house. Now I can't get enough.
Baby names: Absolutely no ideas at this point.

Due: September 23
Located: New York
Child #: First
Team?: Green
Kicks?: Feeling some movement but nothing I would call a solid kick
How I'm feeling: I have been feeling pretty good but have been having dull cramps all day (more annoying than anything else)
Cravings?: None really. I eat everything.....hoping the indigestion and heartburn stay away so I can continue eating Thai food
Baby names: We have definite names picked out for both boy and girl
pomelo / 5469 posts
I've been out of the loop for the past week and really need to catch up properly... hopefully tomorrow once DH is back at work!
Due: September 19th
Located: Cambridge, UK
Child #: First!
Team?: PINK! Seriously underrepresented in our group right now!
Kicks?: Very regular now, think she's in a pattern of waking at certain times during the day. Can feel her from the outside these days!
How I'm feeling: Nausea comes and goes- maybe once a week will be a particularly bad day. Cramps are getting better, which means I can sleep better, but these have been replaced by back pain when I've been sitting too long (like in the car) and think a nerve might be getting trapped. I learned the hard way yesterday why lifting is not good- I picked up the hoover and took it down and upstairs and pulled muscles in my abdomen... painful!
Cravings?: Nothing these days, though cola is good and settles my tummy.
Baby names: Rose is still our main contender, paired with either Evelyn, or Christine (after my Mum). Still not ruling out anything else good that might come along before she arrives!

There is so many of us due around the 20th! That's crazy! Is it just me or is anyone else insanely in love with their bub. I give myself a panic attack thinking what if I were to lose him ( my sister lost a baby at 32weeks... it frightens me so much). How can I love someone so much I haven't met yet. I also read an article the other day about couples who were aborting at 20 weeks because it wasn't the sex they wanted... i almost threw up, so horrible.
