@MrsStormy: I have that same skirt on today and I think you look great. My belly is bigger than yours though. I feel like it's giant already.

@marionberry: Haha oh good you make me feel better! My belly totally fluctuates, somedays big, somedays pretty small (today), its so weird. My coworkers comment every day, about whether its a big baby day or a small baby day.

Good luck on your glucose tests, ladies!

Mrsstormy: you look great!!! My bump fluctuates, too, btw

Sorry about being a bit MIA lately...I've been stressing out about the whole are we moving aren't we moving business... sigh. Hope everyone is going great and those glucose tests are going great... I have mine between 26 and 28 weeks somewhere so I just have to book it in. My bump has definately popped out now.. Some days he just looks giant! The pic is of me at 23 weeks.....I'm 24 now. We've picked his first name but not his middle name yet, I'm pretty grumpy at the moment cause its cold here and I hate it. I just made the last of our big baby buys though so that's something to be happy about!!! Is anyone else just really wanting bub to be here??! I feel so paranoid all the time that something is going to happen to him. I just want him safely in my arms!!!!

Let's share some of our recent baby buys!! Here's mine... It's our baby hammock... what he'll sleep in for the first 3-4 months

@Mrs squirreld: You look great! Sorry things are somewhat stressful That hammock looks so cool! I want to sleep in one myself haha!

Anyone else feeling a ton more movement lately? I swear baby boy is just rocking and rolling in there the past few days! It makes me wonder if he's been this active for a while and is just now getting big enough for me to feel all of it, or if he's more active now as he's developing...maybe some of both? Either way, it's really cool and I think I'm beginning to understand why some women have said they miss that feeling after LO is born...

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: That hammock is so cool! You don't really see those around here. My latest purchases haven't been very fun: a crib mattress and crib mattress pad and some pottery barn hooded towels. But we did pick up some cute onesies at Baby Gap yesterday. DH is sure he won't even wear all of the baby clothes he now owns..if only he knew how much laundry baby Jackson is going to go through in a day!
@mamamagpie: Sometimes he's really rowdy and others I'm sure he's sound asleep, but I do love feeling him move! It's so fun!

I didn't get a call Friday so I'm assuming no gestational diabetes but their office is so bad with calling, I think I'm going to have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to be sure. They said no news is good news. I hate that! Is everyone else getting their results right away?

  7. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: yeah we need to buy a crib mattress too, we just bought the change pad, but that isn't very exciting... we soooooo need more clothes..but IF we do end up moving he'll probably be living in nappies & singlets anyways cause it will be so hot!! Hows the new house going?

@MamaMagpie: Yeah definately, I feel movement everyday, sometimes for up to an hour.... I have occasionally been getting really big kicks... that actually scare me when I'm not expecting it! lol Haven't seen my belly moved yet.... I feel like a watched belly never moves? lol I do have an anterior placenta though so that might be harder for me to see.... my doctor was impressed I felt them so early in general

  8. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: The new house is great! Thanks for asking. We are 100% settled in and it's just perfect for all of us, despite not having planned to have his teenage daughter live with us. We are definitely loving it but I'm realizing how much being a full time parent takes away the "us time" DH and I used to have. I'd recommend really taking time to enjoy each other in peace now while you can.

@marionberry: oooh has she moved in already? How is it going?

  10. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: Yep! She's been here 2 weeks now. It's going really well but it's definitely a big change to our normal life. I can't imagine how stressful this and the baby might be until we get into a routine.

@marionberry: You are an amazing woman. I'm not sure I could have done the same.

  12. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: Not amazing, but she's family. I'm sure anyone else would've done the same.

Oh here's my 24w2d pic from yesterday but the dark dress makes my bump look way smaller than it really is.

    @marionberry: true true.
You look gorgeous!!! I will take one when my hair drys!! I feel my bump is really poking out now!! lol

@Mrs squirreld: you do not! I'm packing on the pounds lately and starving constantly.

  16. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: haha my boobs are huge, so when bump overtook them I knew it was huge! Lol
I'm never hungry, I'm skipping dinner frequently. I know it's bad but I just can't eat... Actually felt sick tonight... A little scared my morning sickness is returning.

  17. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: That's not good! I hope for your sake rafts not the case. I'll swap you appetites for a few days though!

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: and now I'm really really craving corn chips.... And there are no shops open the dramas of pregnancy... Lol

just a little rant... i am so uncomfortable already, not sure how i will last the summer. sigh. I have pulled the ligaments on both sides, which probably won't heal properly until after the baby is born. walking, rolling over in bed, getting up from the couch/desk chair is causing me some intense pain!

ugh. ok vent over. moving on now.

we have a new name for the little one but I am still not sure:
Mirandha Claire. Pronounced the same as the typical Miranda, but the H softens the D a bit.

@Mrs squirreld: @marionberry : Your bumps are so cute!!! It's time for me to update too, I think. Tomorrow when I'm not lazing around in my sweats as I currently am

@marionberry : I had my glucose test last Tuesday and haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming that means all is well. I hate how they only call if something is wrong....I want to know definitively either way!

@mrsmoreau: Ouch!! That sounds painful Poor you! Would a body pillow help for sleeping? I bought a Snoogle last week and it has been a lifesaver!! I love that name! Claire is one of my favorites but I already it's already been used several times in my extended family.

We had our Labor and Delivery course on Saturday and it was super helpful!! The birthing video wasn't nearly as graphic as others have told me (DH turned away for the placenta delivery though, hehe). I loved seeing the L&D floor and becoming familiar with all of the procedures. It made me SO excited to meet our LO!!

    Hey Ladies!

I got a mattress, mattress pad and sheets for New Baby. I feel like we have everything - I'll just need to get out (and tidy up) things like like our infant car seat and cloth diapers. My mom painted a dresser for me and as soon as we get that back we will have all our major furniture in the room.
    Starting to feel so real!

  23. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Joanlindsay: That's great! You sound like you're right on track with having everything ready.
@char54: I totally agree that they should call you regardless. Talk about stress! My office forgets to call sometimes, so I never really trust that them not calling means good news.
    @mrsclownfish: Great bump pic!
@mrsmoreau: I'm sorry you're super uncomfortable! I know how bad it was when I could barely walk and I bet you're wishing you could take the good meds right now. Cute name too! I know a really cute girl named Miranda.
@mrssquirreld: Did you ever find yourself some corn chips?!

  24. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@mrsmoreau: oh you poor thing!!!! That must be so painful! Here I am complaining about being cold... I love the name.. so pretty.

@char54: Yes! We need pictures We have our hospital booking for our back up plan next week! I can't wait!

@MrsClownfish: Looking fabulous! Hope your are feeling it too!
@Joanlindsay: Don't you just love feeling like you are organized I just prepped all my cloth diapers over the weekend! Feels so good! I may still buy a few more though ....shhhhh don't tell DH...lol

  25. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: nope, I cried and sooked and no shops were open.. DH scoured the pantry for me, but nothing would solve my craving, so I went to bed and when I woke I didn't want them anymore. lol Ahhh pregnant life! hahaha

    Catching up!

@marionberry: you look so cute! I love that dress, is it maternity?

@mrssquirreld: your hair is so pretty! Is it naturally wavy?

@mrsmoreau: that sounds awful, I'm so sorry! I've had a few super painful moments when getting up too quickly or sneezing, so I can only imagine how crappy that is

@char54: ooooooh so fun! We aren't doing our classes until August, I'm so jealous! Did you feel like your learned a lot of stuff?

@joanlindsay: oh my gosh, I bet that feels so great! We still have some big stuff to actually buy (carseat, stroller, glider) but its picked out and just needs to be bought. Once that happens I'll feel such relief!

@mrsclownfish: so cute! I love love love that color of red/orange

  28. MamaMagpie

Here's my 23 week bump! I'm 25 weeks tomorrow, so I definitely need to take another and update, but I wanted to join in in the bump fun

  29. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@MamaMagpie: ooooh I love that top! You look great!
Yes it is naturally wavy, but when I leave it like that I can't control the frizz so I usually straighten it!

  30. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: I;m totally making some mac and cheese now!!

  31. MamaMagpie

    persimmon / 1436 posts

@Mrs squirreld: thank you! I'm jealous of your natural waves, it takes me like 30 minutes to do mine! And I don't see any frizz at all!

So is anyone really hot all the time?! My hands and feet often feel like they're on fire!

  32. MrsClownfish

    cherry / 199 posts

@mamamagpie not feeling hotter than normal by my latest thing is my hands falling asleep all the time at night which makes it fun when I get up to go to the bathroom, open doors, etc.

    Btw super cute dress..love bows

  33. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@MrsClownfish: OMG YES!! My hands have started falling asleep completely.. it actually wakes me up and then i have horrible pins and needles... what is with that!!

  34. jetsa

    grapefruit / 4663 posts

@Mrs squirreld: @MrsClownfish: my hips and feet do this! I think the feet mayve BP related bc its always when they are swelling but the hips keep me awake at night flip flopping!

  35. MamaMagpie

    persimmon / 1436 posts

@MrsClownfish: @mrssquirreld: @jetsa: that must be awful! I haven't experience that yet I loathe that feeling of numbness and pins and needles

  36. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@MamaMagpie: No it's a regular dress in size Large from the Gap outlet. I've really tried to find as many normal dresses as I can that work with the bump versus maternity. I'm starting to worry if any of my maternity clothes are really going to fit once I get close to the end though.

  37. mrsmoreau

    apricot / 251 posts

well... my blood sugar tested high during my glucose test, so i have to go in for a 3 hour test next... plus fasting! YUCK

  38. Meltini

    apricot / 495 posts

Everyone looks so cute in their maternity clothes and I just feel frumpy so you all inspired me to go shopping over my lunch hour. My husband was right when he rolled his eyes at me when I told him I was going to try to not buy an excessive amount of maternity clothes. He knows me better than I know myself.

  39. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mrsmoreau: I'm so sorry! But recently there was a thread showing that so many women pass the 3 hour when they fail the 1 hour. Hoping that's the case for you!
@meltini: I said that too...but as I've gotten bigger I've needed more stuff. At least next pregnancy we can reuse it. Tell your husband that!

  40. MamaMagpie

    persimmon / 1436 posts

@mrsmoreau: ugh, that's no fun I'm dreading mine! But @marionberry: is right, did you find that thread? It seemed like a ton of people failed the one hour but passed the three hour with flying colors. Still, no fun

@meltini: Post a pic of your new fave maternity outfit!
