Feeling good after a haircut and colour! Can't believe there is only 63 days to go!

@Mrs squirreld: looking great! I'm trying to decide of I want to do anything before baby gets here. My mil runs a salon and I don't take advantage very often but I may.
So does anyone else feel like they are leaking? I don't know if its incontinence or something else but it's bothering me and the heat seems to make it worse.
apricot / 251 posts
@jetsa: definitely have some leakage here - Doc says it is normal extra discharge probably mixed with some urine (lovely) since the baby is putting more pressure on... well, everything the bigger she gets.
also been very sweaty down there and everywhere due to the heat - heat index over 100 degrees F again today - been that way all week.

@Mrs squirreld: looks great! I highlighted my hair Monday. Probably the last time before baby gets here.
@jetsa: @mrsmoreau: I feel like a hormonal teenager down there. Totally gross when combined with all the sweat. I'm also having to wash my bras constantly due to sweat as well. Pregnancy during summer is not ideal for smelling good lol.

@Mrs squirreld: so pretty!
@jetsa: @mrsmoreau: @marionberry: I'm right there with you...I feel so gross! Last night I was flying home from a work trip and felt so gross when I got home that I think I barely have DH a kiss before I jumped in the shower!

Ultrasound went great! The tech was meh and Baby was super uncooperative but it has hair
it wouldn't show us its face because it was too busy sucking on its hand. It's head down and big too, per thebump.com average weight for where I'm at is 2.5-3.8 and its 4.1 lbs already
it's measuring a week ahead. DH is convinced it'll be early!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@jetsa: So jealous you got another ultrasound! It does sound like your baby might be early based upon weight or else you might be birthing a big baby. I hope it's the former. And hair! Yay! I really want to know if our baby has hair!
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@marionberry: my husband and I were both small (under 8 lbs) so I'm hoping I'm early but we'll see I still say Oct 1, I don't want to be miserable the last few weeks and counting on being early sounds like a good way to do that.
I'm so excited about the hair lol!

@Mrs squirreld: you look fabulous!! I need a haircut badly...should probably get on that before LO comes!
@jetsa: I'm totally leaking...especially first thing every morning when I stand up. It's quite a bit of fluid ! The doctor said that's normal as long as its clear and doesn't continue all day. You're so lucky to have another ultrasound!! I'm almost positive I won't get one.
I was 8lb10oz...my DH was only 6lbs...but he was a month early, hahah. I'm thinking ill be pushing a bowling ball out of me!!
I'm heading to the beach this week to my family's cottage with DH, my sister and her FI. Even though its only like 5 minutes out of town it sort of feels like a vacation. I keep thinking that this time next summer I will have a ten month old to play on the sandbars with
we are getting so close ladies!!!!

@Mrs squirreld: you look great, your "days to go" made me check my own count-down app... 51 days here, yikes!
@jetsa: Not 'leaking' per-se, but definitely a big increase on what I'd gotten used to over the past few months... however, my boobs have started leaking occasionally, fortunately its mostly been at night and not in public though
@char54: have fun at the beach!
Has anyone else been experiencing a painful/aching bump yet? I'm 32 weeks now and the last few days I've noticed I've been getting a lot of stretching / aching to the right of my belly button, I think maybe it's round ligament pain but not sure? Also think I might have started getting the odd Braxton Hicks too, but not sure on that either!
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@evenstar982: yes it feels like the kid is trying to come out my belly button. I've had it since 28 weeks, also yes on the Braxton hicks I think, I overdid it today and then had a bunch of tightening. I'm 31 weeks!
apricot / 284 posts
@jetsa: yep; I think this one is starting to test the 'exits'... the last couple of days its been *really* low and I've had a couple of real "ooooh child don't poke me THERE" kind of moments!
apricot / 251 posts
@evenstar982: I've been dealing with BH for the last few weeks... I am 33weeks tomorrow. they seem to be getting more and more frequent. DH is convinced we are having an August baby
pomelo / 5041 posts
@evenstar982: I get aching near my belly button when a butt/head is pressing on the area. More often my issue is an overall hardening of my belly or some low cramping. I really hope he doesn't want to be this early. I have so much to do still!
apricot / 284 posts
@mrsmoreau: @marionberry: I'm worried about being early too; but only really because the school cut off in the uk is Aug/September so I really want LO to be the oldest in the year not the youngest!
I wonder who will be the first to pop, and if we will have some August babies after all!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@evenstar982: I was the youngest in my class and also one of the smartest despite already being nearly a year younger than everyone else because I started kindergarten early. So it's not always bad. If worse comes to worse you can always have them repeat a year when they're younger. My sister did that in 3rd grade after starting early like me and it was really for the best.
apricot / 251 posts
@jetsa: @marionberry: @evenstar982: I don't mean to alarm anyone, but I do believe I just lost my mucus plug... although in reality labor could still be weeks away! I do not like this bit of pregnancy one bit - constantly wondering when labor will truly begin. I hope not for a few weeks yet! the babe needs to cook a bit longer!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrsmoreau: Wow! I hope it doesn't mean your baby will be here in a few days (like it did with a friend of mine) but even at this stage babies do really well when delivered. I'm starting to believe you definitely will be an August baby. I hope for her sake though she cooks at least a couple more weeks. Keep us updated! When do you go in to the doctor again?

Just realized I hadn't updated this with my next appointment.

@mrsmoreau: oh my goodness!! You may have an August babe! Was your 1st child early?
persimmon / 1436 posts
@jetsa: omg, so exciting about hair!
@char54: a vacation will be so nice! DH's parents have a beach house in NJ and I can't wait to take DS there next summer
Beach bebs are to die for
@evenstar982: I'm getting the pain the right of my belly button, too! Crazy! And Braxton Hicks, a lot. It makes me think about how amazing our bodies are that we are able to prepare for birth in these ways
@mrsmoreau: OMG you might have an August baby!!! Crazy! Keep us posted for sure
My shower was yesterday and it was so incredibly lovely and made me feel so loved and even more excited to bring baby boy into the world! My aunt and cousins and best friend put it all together and made everything by hand, it was amazing. Here's a few pics of the day (it was a robot theme, because I love them
)
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mamamagpie: I LOVE your shower! It definitely looks like something I would throw myself. Your family and friends outdid themselves and I love the colors. I'm glad it went so well!
apricot / 284 posts
@mrsmoreau: yikes! (but how exciting!) Hoping baby holds out at least a couple more weeks for you though
@MamaMagpie: I
your shower! So cute! Getting excited for mine now - when I checked my registry today some stuff has been purchased already, can't wait to find out what!
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@mrsmoreau: Ooo! This is exciting! You could be our first!!
@MamaMagpie: Love the theme!!
persimmon / 1436 posts
@marionberry: @jetsa: @evenstar982: @maplemoose: thank you! They really did "out-do" themselves and it was amazing
@jetsa: you look amazing! Perfect little bump!
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@MamaMagpie: aww thanks, 2 months to go! It doesn't feel little at all anymore! Baby has also decided it doesn't like any waistbands so I'm pushing them all down and my pants constantly feel like they are falling off lol.
persimmon / 1436 posts
@jetsa: I know how you feel about "not feeling little anymore" -- I feel absolutely ginormous and can't believe I have two more months to go and that I'm going to just get that much bigger! Ack! So funny about waistbands for you -- do you have any of those maternity pants that have the soft fabric that goes all the way up to your bra line? They are the most comfortable things on the planet!
apricot / 284 posts
@MamaMagpie: I hear ya on the waistbands - *everything* I'm wearing these days is either a maxi-dress, or something with a waistband up to my bra... sooooo comfortable and much nicer than those under-bump waistbands that just roll down and make you think your pants will fall off
Only thing is it can get a bit hot with maternity over-bump leggings AND a skirt with a high waist AND a top over that, as I discovered last night at church
I was a sweaty mess after 15 minutes serving in the kitchen and then I had to spend 15 minutes up at the front under the lighting rig being interviewed about something!
@jetsa: great bump! I don't feel so small any more either... I've gotten really slow this week, I can't walk and talk without gasping for air.
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@Mrs squirreld: @jetsa: You girls are so cute with your little bumps!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@jetsa: I'm guessing boy.
@jetsa: @mamamagpie: I can't believe my big belly has 2 months to get bigger too! I came into work today and my boss and another lady who works in our building both asked me if something happened with the baby this weekend because I look way bigger. After looking in the mirror tonight with DH I just think the top part of my belly has rounded out.
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@marionberry: ppl are about evenly split boy/girl. the top part of my belly has rounded out also. I hate the way that shirt is hanging off my stomach on the bottom!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@jetsa: My shirts do that too. Looking cute is just not going to happen in these last 2 months for me I think.
persimmon / 1436 posts
@evenstar982: ugh, that's no fun! I have also been feeling extremely warm all the time -- for the first time in our relationship, DH says he wants to turn off the AC and I'm like "do it and die" lol
@marionberry: @jetsa: I definitely think the rounding out at the top has made a big difference in the appearance of size! Mine has too, and everyone is now commenting on how "high" I'm carrying...
persimmon / 1436 posts
Anyone ever get a little freaked out by the ppd threads on here? I know it will be normal to have moments of "oh crap, what did we do?" but I'm starting to wonder if I should basically prepare myself to have ppd...it just seems like "everyone" does and it scares me
I feel such compassion for those who've gone through/are going through it, but I'd also love to hear about women who *don't* have those "my life is over" feelings during the first few months of being a new mom and am starting to wonder if that ever happens? I really hope that doesn't make me sound bad
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@marionberry: agreed, I just feel like a mess anymore
@MamaMagpie: pic please! Yes, I've had lots of comments on how high I'm carrying as well. Is the old wives tale girl or boy for carrying high? It seems that everyone says it differently.
So about 2 months ago we bought a new SUV for the baby/us and I hit a deer this AM. I'm fine, I wasn't even rattled by it but its not driveable so its just one more thing to deal with right now. Between that and the construction on my house, its stressing me out.
