@jetsa: I do have weekly NSTs and also monthly u/s. I haven't had any protein in my urine either. I think my number is high, but the OBs haven't said there was an issue. I just probably don't know what I'm looking at on the lab sheet.

@pmerr: my bottom number has been 90+ they want it below 90. I had an extra appt early in pregnancy due to swelling and she told me if I could keep it below 140/90 they wouldn't do anything but I can't anymore.

BP was fine, I get to go back to work every other day! I'll still have biweekly appts with non-stress tests and a weekly fluid check. As of now they'll let me go to my original due date. I'm excited this is about the best I could expect!

@jetsa: hurray!!!! So happy for you.

I do not feel good today. I feel like I have been hit by a train! My butt and thighs feel like they have been on the thigh master for a day. according to dr google ( arghhhh google!!) it's muscle/nerve pain associated with baby dropping??! I feel sick and been on the toilet most of the morning. Isn't that delightful. I'm hoping it might mean bub is coming soon, but urgh. I'm just throwing myself a little pity party. On a plus side my nursery rug was delivered today so once DH puts up the night light the nursery is done!!

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: I've heard that's definitely a sign of baby coming soon. Have you been having cervical checks at your appointments to know if you're dilated already? I haven't felt great either, but it's obvious to me baby hasn't dropped. So exciting your nursery is almost done! We're just waiting on our glider (which should be here any day) and then our nursery is pretty much done too!

  8. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: As I just see the midwifes at the hospital now they are all for the non invasive approach so they don't do cervical checks.. They don't even do them through labor unless requested. I will talk to them at my next appt which is Friday, but I'm not sure if knowing I'm dilated will make me feel worse or better?! Haha I just want to know that what I'm feeling is normal... If there is such a thing as normal in pregnancy!!!! Ohh it will so exciting when your glider arrives... I'm sitting in mine right now with a fan on me... It's the only thing making me feel better!

  9. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: My friend's midwife never did a cervical check either. Seems to pretty much be the norm. I like knowing if my body has gone one step further, even though I know it really means nothing about when he's born. I don't know that there is a "normal" in pregnancy but from what I've heard, all of your symptoms right now seem normal for lightening and signs that labor is imminent. Did you get the matching ottoman to your glider? We didn't at the time we ordered our glider because of the price, but I'm thinking I should at least get a pouf or something to put my feet up on. What do you think?

  10. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: yeah we got the matching footstool for our gilder! As comfortable as it is, it does kind get in the way just cause the room is so small! If you have the space I would definitely get one! A pouf is great too, cause you can use it else where if you wanted! Cervical checks are a hard one, I'm not sure if I'd want to know or not want to know! I think I'd be the type of person who would be really upset if I found out I wasn't dilated when I feel so crummy!! Even though it can mean absolutely nothing! Silly isn't it!! Do you get them?

  11. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrs squirreld: Ya I get them every visit. Last visit I wasn't dilated but at least was 50% effaced. I find it kind of exciting to know. I'm hoping maybe there'll be some progress at my next appointment. And some people say they hurt, but other than being uncomfortable for a minute while they do them, I haven't minded them.

  12. jetsa

    grapefruit / 4663 posts

@marionberry: @Mrs squirreld: my practice does them weekly from here on out I think, but since they mean so little I don't know if I like it or not lol. Last Thursday I was just a fingertip dilated and then today I was a 1 and 50% but it almost makes me more anxious for babe to make its appearance even though it could still be weeks. I don't think they hurt by any means, but I've spotted all day. I didn't at all last Thursday, so it kind of freaked me out for a minute

  13. jetsa

Ummm so TMI (if there is such a thing anymore) lol. I think I'm losing mucus plug. The spotting stopped and now it's turned bloody and brown and stringy.

  14. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@jetsa: Spotting is totally normal after a check. So exciting that you're at a 1 now!

@jetsa: What a relief! So happy for your good news. And how exciting you're losing your mucus plug... Getting closer!

@Mrs squirreld: Oh dear, the 3rd trimester morning sickness does not sound fun. I've been so sore in my hips to the point that I almost waddle/limp so I can commiserate with you on that.

  17. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@jetsa: eeek how exciting! I don't think I've ever checked my knickers as much as I have in the last few days!! Haha
@MapleMoose: yay we can waddle together!

  18. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@jetsa: OMG! Most women go into labor a day or two after losing their mucus plug. Maybe you'll be the first one of us to have a baby! So exciting!

@maplemoose: I'm sorry your hips are bothering you so much!

@mrssquirreld: It is a very funny thing how excited we get to check things like our underwear. One day if we were to ever tell our kids how we were while pregnant with them, they'd call us crazy!

  19. MamaMagpie

@jetsa: omgeee! It sounds like you definitely are losing your mucus plus! Very exciting
@maplemoose: I'm sorry about your hips For what is worth, I'm right there with you! I absolutely HAD to go sit down in the middle of loading the dishwasher tonight because they hurt so bad. Womp womp.
@mrssquirreld: "I don't think I've ever checked my knickers as much as I have in the last few days!!" --> LOL exactly this!
@marionberry: I don't know what your glider looks like, but I *love* poufs! You should get one My DH vetoed the one I wanted

  20. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@MamaMagpie: it's kind of a boxy chair but I like the look of a round knit pouf. Once we get the chair in the room I'll post a pic and you can help me decide what to do!

i have my 38 week check tonight - really looking forward to it since i have been quite ill the last several days. headache, nausea/upset digestive system, and reduced movement as far as baby is concerned. BP is normal so I don't know if I am just getting ready for labor or what...

anyway hopefully the doc will have news for me tonight! getting to the stage of "i'm so over being pregnant" now!

  22. mrsmoreau

    @jetsa: exciting news!
@MapleMoose: when i get up from laying down/sitting ( which is a feat in and of itself) it takes me a while to get moving - my hips are in agony!
    @marionberry: can't wait to see a pic!

Well just had my group B strep, and my first cervical exam, the babies head is down (yay, because I really wasn't sure) the Dr. said everything looks good for where I am at, and I am 1cm dilated. My next appointment isn't for 2 weeks though, because the Dr. wont be in the office much next week, so I wont get my group B strep results until then....

@jetsa: Glad things are looking better for you also exciting about possibly loosing your plug!

@mrsmoreau: Good luck at your appointment, hopefully baby will be here soon!

OMG I have been MIA for a little bit and there is so much to catch up on this thread! I will try to sum up....

@jetsa great news about your BP and maybe you will be the first September mommy to give birth!

So for those that are having BP issues and other symptoms of the third trimester I am definitely starting to get a little uncomfortable and have cramping on and off. (I guess these are braxton hicks? not sure)

We have a sonogram tonight to check baby's size and position. I am very excited!

MY surprise baby shower was this weekend...FINALLY and we got a whole bunch of stuff. Then we went and picked up everything else we needed. Now I just need to organize it all and pack a hospital bag.

The shower was forest friends themed....here is a pic of the decorations my sister made for the tables....

@mrsmoreau: How did your appointment go?

@mamamagpie: I know they have a grey one at Target, because I've looked at it before. I'm contemplating that one or a teal colored one off of etsy.

@mrsstormy: Couldn't you call and just ask for the results in a few days? It might be good to know in case you were to go into early labor or something. 1cm - yay!!!

@mrsclownfish: So happy your shower went well. Can you use some of those animals in your nursery? They're super cute!

AFM, my checkup today went well. Still no protein in my urine and my BP wasn't in the risky zone, so now I'm just going in Friday for a quick BP check and then nothing until my ECV on Tuesday. My OB said it can be kind of painful, so not totally looking forward to that part, but hoping it turns my little one. Oh and I'm a fingertip dilated finally. Wish it was more!

@marionberry: just got back from my appointment. (it's 9:30 pm here)
The doc was concerned about my BP (slightly elevated) and my other symptoms so he ordered an NST. everything came back normal so they sent me home. I go back on Thursday.
I am stressing out a little bit because we are supposed to go to a wedding on Saturday, and I am getting the feeling that little miss moreau is not going to let that happen....

@marionberry good luck with your version

@mrsstormy your nursery is super adorable!!

Sonogram went well....baby is head down and estimated at 6 1/2 pounds (I am 36 weeks). First cervical check on Friday

  36. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mrsmoreau: How high is elevated? Glad your NST went well. You and @jetsa may be in a competition for first baby born.

@mrsclownfish: Thank you! Glad everything is looking good for your little one!

  37. mrsmoreau

    apricot / 251 posts

@marionberry: it was only 120 over 92! but with the other symptoms my doc was freaked out about pre-e. thankfully no protein in urine.
Version sounds like it could be quite uncomfortable - thoughts and prayers that it goes well!

  38. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mrsmoreau: Oh they're worried about the 92 part. Anything over 90 is considered bad, but I had one of those too and since then they've all been below, so it was probably just a fluke for you. No protein in your urine is a great sign! Thanks also for the good thoughts and prayers. I feel good about the ECV now, but I'll probably be really anxious by Tuesday morning.

  39. jetsa

    grapefruit / 4663 posts

@mrsmoreau: as marionberry said anything over 90 is bad. Mine is now consistently over 90 so I'm on BP meds and working from the office every other day because like you I have no protein/pre-e signs. My dr won't deliver early due to it unless the NST shows the baby is distress or something. Have you had any headaches? I hadn't but am dealing with one now so I'm sure I'll end up at the dr office once they open.

  40. mrsmoreau

    apricot / 251 posts

@jetsa: headaches & nausea since Saturday, decreased fetal movement & floaters in my vision since Sunday......
trying to take it easy, Doc didn't restrict activity or diet, he just wants to see me tomorrow to check everything again. ugh.
BP went back down during the NST last night though so I am taking that as a good sign.
