Ok so my nursery is about 95% complete. I'll share it in its own thread eventually but here's a sneak peak for you ladies!

@MamaMagpie: ahhhhh!!!
@marionberry swoon! So awesome! I have the same crib! Since we are team green we have no color in the room yet

@MrsClownfish: I opted for a gender neutral nursery so that we could reuse many things for our next baby. I'm sure that's why we opted for the same crib. I love the Jenny Lind!

@marionberry: so cute!
@Mrssquirreld: love your nursery!
I'll post detail pics of mine tomorrow! After a full day of twinges and irregular contractions, my DH and I have decided I've definitely dropped so that's exciting! Progress is happening.

@marionberry: @MamaMagpie: Thanks! I've been feeling horrible the last few days- crampy, upset stomach, taking #2s 3-4 times a day (like really soft, but not diarrhea), and just feeling overall crappy, so hopefully that means something is happening.
apricot / 491 posts
@jetsa: I've been having hot flashes! It's worst at night when I wake up in a sweat and crank the A/C and then go back and forth between hot and cold. Poor DH!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@pmerr: Don't you love that feeling horrible is supposedly a good sign?! I haven't felt that great myself. Woke up last night with a little cramping but it went away pretty quick.
pomelo / 5469 posts
@marionberry: gorgeous nursery and colour scheme! Baby J- have you announced his name on here yet? If so I think I must have missed it
@jetsa: @MamaMagpie: Yay for progress!!
@pmerr: I've felt pretty similar the last few weeks, lots of #2's, slight upset stomach feeling and now I think I'm getting a cold!!
apricot / 491 posts
@marionberry: haha yeah, except I hate feeling bad! but who doesn't!?
@illumina: Hopefully it means some sort of progress!

@illumina: Jackson Tennessee!
@pmerr: I'm sorry you don't feel good! At least we can all commiserate!

I was hoping someone would have a Labor Day babe but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. It just seems like an appropriate day to "labor"
nectarine / 2705 posts
@marionberry: Love your nursery and your color scheme! Very close to what we've got going on for our baby boy. Even the same crib! Thinking of you, hoping all goes well tomorrow.
persimmon / 1436 posts
@marionberry: the room looks fantastic!!! It's actually similar in color scheme as ours, so of course I'm totally in love with it
I can't remember who asked, but our drive to hospital is about 20-30 minutes away depending on traffic, so not too bad. However, I've been stuck in traffic on that stretch of freeway for about 45 minutes a few times so fingers crossed that doesn't happen when the time comes!
So I completely thought I'd be creating a Birth in Progress thread last night, but alas, the symptoms and contractions fizzled. I want him to keep cooking a bit longer, but I was also really really excited...and now I'm feeling kind of let down! Silly, I know, as he will be here soon enough!

@sweetooth: How cool that we have the same taste! I can't wait to see yours! And thank you. I will fill everyone in as soon as the "procedure" is over tomorrow.
@mamamagpie: I can't wait to see your nursery too! I always loved your Pinterest board. We obviously have similar taste. I thought you might be posting a labor thread too so I was bummed when I woke up and you hadn't. I'm so excited for someone to have their baby! I just can't believe we're all so close to the end.

@mrsmoreau: How are you feeling about tomorrow? Any more at ease with the whole induction thing? I'm selfishly excited to see your little girl!
apricot / 251 posts
@jetsa: there is still time for a labor day baby! I thought I might be going into labor this morning, but everything went back to normal... boooo
@marionberry: I am feeling better about it now. I think I have finally come to terms with the induction, but now I am caught between being really excited to see her and terrified feeling like I am not ready yet! especially since DS is being a little demon child today! thankfully I am dropping him off at my MIL's house tonight so I will have a few hours of peace this evening to get my head on straight. how are you feeling about tomorrow? nervous? thinking of you!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrsmoreau: I'm glad you can get some alone time today to prep for tomorrow and even more happy that you're feeling more at ease with your induction. I just put the carseat in the car and it was a surreal feeling. I know the odds are that I'll leave my appt tomorrow with a date for a planned c-section or awaiting normal labor, but I'm prepping for the chance of an emergency c-section and I can't believe there's a chance I'll have my baby tomorrow. Super crazy! Our first September baby comes tomorrow!

@marionberry: thanks my cousin made it for my shower, and I loved it so much I had to put it up!

@mrsmoreau: good luck with your induction tomorrow! Can't wait for our first sept baby!!
@jetsa: what a beautiful nursery!! Love the colors and the prints!
I had to say goodbye to our childhood dog tonight...pregnancy hormones made it much worse I'm sure. I'm kind of a mess - she was such a good dog and got me through all my dramatic teen years.

@char54: You poor thing! That's got to be so much harder with the pregnancy hormones rolling. Big hugs to you!

@char54: Im so sorry, how awful! Thank you for the nursery compliments.

@mrsmoreau: Can't wait for the first September baby to arrive!
@jetsa: @marionberry: Such awesome nurseries! Love the details.
@char54: I'm so sorry for your loss.

DH and I and puppy just got back from our long weekend babymoon/anniversary trip to the beach. So relaxing! Although this marks the end of my two week end-of-summer vacation so that's a bit sad. But I did some crazy nesting while I was home. I am almost finished the nursery, made a piece for the wall and such, and I stocked three shelves of the upright freezer with maternity freezer meals. DH said he didn't think I would nest because I'm already pretty big on keeping a neat and tidy house, but turns out I got this crazy burst of energy and had to stock up on homemade freezer meals. Go figure.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@MapleMoose: Good for you for taking a babymoon and enjoying some time with your DH! You're also my amazing for getting all of those freezer meals done. I would love to set up a bunch of freezer meals but our freezer has like NO room in it. I've talked to DH about buying a stand alone freezer for our garage but he hasn't been convinced we need one yet.
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@marionberry: As the primary cook in the household, it wasn't too hard to convince DH that we needed an upright freezer for the basement so he could continue to enjoy home cooked meals when I'm on the mend and focused on baby.
apricot / 251 posts
@char54: sorry about your dog. I know it is rough to lose a loved one - furry or not!
thanks to all for the well wishes. I am nervous - I actually think it is worse knowing when it will happen! last time I didn't have time to think about it - just went into labor and DS was here in no time! Feeling unprepared if that makes any sense.
grapefruit / 4663 posts
@marionberry: I'm also trying to convince my DH of this and I'm getting nowhere.
@MapleMoose: my DH taught me to cook, so he swears he'll handle it.
@mrsmoreau: good luck tomorrow. I understand what your saying, it's like you have more time to think about it because you know when it's going to happen
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrsmoreau: I totally get what you mean! Finishing packing my hospital bag today and thinking about a possible c-section tomorrow has me finally a little nervous. I would much rather be a normal mama who was just waiting to go into labor! I guess it's true what they all say, don't have plans for your labor because the likelihood of them coming true is small. Hugs to you!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrsmoreau: Agreed! Try to get some sleep for your big day and keep us updated tomorrow!

@mrsmoreau: Good Luck, can't wait to hear how it goes!
@marionberry: Good Luck today!
@Mrs squirreld: Aww thanks, I love yours too. It is officially my favorite room in the house to sit in a drink a cup of tea or coffee. Boo to being sick
