@Boogs: I just texted the photo to DHs aunt and she goes "Chloe is so adorable"
Ten minutes pass and I got an "OH MY GOD!!!!"
Hahaha I thought the shirt would be lame but this is starting to be kind of fun.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: That's exactly why I want one haha! I'm looking forward to reactions.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: aww, so sweet! Did you video anyone's reaction?
We're trying to figure out how to tell my in-law's (local) and my family (2 timezones away, who don't have good enough internet to video chat).
I keep going back and forth wanting to just tell them, and wanting to make it special. I'm just not much a crafty creative type and it feels overwhelming!

@LatteLove: Are you the same LatteLove from WB?! Congrats!! Maybe you can do something like this where you mail a simple box and just ask someone to video (with maybe their phone) when your family opens it? Then you could video with your inlaws.
P.S. Our due dates are a day apart.

@Boogs Congratulations to you! I am one and the same
who were you on WB? Your handle doesn't look familiar...
Ooh, I could do that for my siblings! Thanks for the idea. I just want to tell my mama asap and get her encouragement and advice.

@LatteLove: I sent you a wall message.
Can't wait to hear how it goes with telling your mom and siblings!

Cautiously joining this board from this month's POAS board... I tested again this morning with a digital and it looks like I'm still KU!
We don't plan on telling anyone (family & parents included) until March, so it's nice to be able to share on HB. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months! I'll update the big list with my info once I get my appt made! My EDD is 9/21. Super excited to be here!

I can't seem to catch up on sleep. Three nights ago Chloe was up from 1-4am then up for the day around 8. She didn't nap on Wednesday, and we went to a hockey game that night & didn't get home until 11:30 I couldn't nap yesterday and went to bed around 10, but woke up exhausted today. Is it nap time yet?!

@mrs. jump rope: that sound like an exhausting schedule! I had a terrible night's sleep as well. I am flying this afternoon, I can't wait to sleep on the plane!! Hope I don't snuggle the stranger next to me hahah

I called my mom last night and she FREAKED out. She is more excited than I am at this point. (It still doesn't feel real to me at all). So it was really nice to just talk about what's happening and what will be coming up. She and my sister both had really mild nausea for 3-4 weeks late in the first trimester - hoping I luck out with the same!
Congratulations @GKSJ! We're due date twins.

Hi ladies and welcome to all the new folks!!
Sorry I've been MIA - DH has been sick and we've been going to doctor appointments left and right to diagnose the problem. We still don't know what it is but he has a referral to a GI specialist on Tuesday for an endoscopy to figure out what's going on.
Of course, pregnant hormonal me has been FLIPPED. OUT. about the whole thing. I spent like a good 2 hours like having a complete sob-fest meltdown the other night with snot and hiccups and everything because I was afraid DH was going to die. (I've had some relatives die from GI-related cancers, so I was sorta justified in being paranoid, but yeah...)
I guess the odd benefit here is that its kept me completely distracted from the pregnancy and eaten up the time between now and the 27th when we go in for our first ultrasound. While I'm excited/nervous about the US and what we'll see, all of that seems moot when your husband is sick , yanno? Made me put everything in perspective. Daddy comes first, kiddo.
So I've been going to appointments with DH, cooking him a zillion small, bland meals that he can digest, and on top of that, work has also been completely slammed. Hence no Hellobee time.
On the preggo front, its has been difficult because my nausea kicked up a bit this week. MS is so weird - I know I need to eat something to feel better, but obviously I don't feel like it. Its bizarre - the worse the nausea, the more I need to eat to feel better. So counter-intuitive! Today, I felt sick the moment I woke up and went straight to McDonald's to house a McMuffin because I knew I was going to be way more sick without it. Did the trick until now (lunch time) when I started to feel sick again. Time for lunch!
Still off raw veggies and most raw fruit. Been eating a lot of mushy cooked veggies, carbs, and cheese! Last night I had fishsticks and mac n' cheese!
I've been a water guzzling machine, have been having cramps, and I alternate between having great days full of energy and feeling really tired and sleepy days (today is a sleepy day!)
Hope everyone is doing well - I've got to catch up on all the posts!

@LatteLove: Both my EDD and appointment have changed because of all of my problems (we are watching and waiting still.. bleeding has gone down a bit and pain up -- I'm guessing another cyst) but my EDD is now around September 17 and my first visit ended up being Wednesday. We have our next one on the 22nd.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Your daughter is adorable. How cute!
@psw27: I hope you got some sleep today.
@gingerbebe: I hope they figure out what's going on with your husband. My nausea is the same. I need to eat to feel better, but nothing ever sounds good.
Warning Huge Vent Ahead: I've had a horrible few days at work. My teaching assistant has been especially passive aggressive which has made working with her awful. Its all steming from a meeting with the early childhood team and she was arguing with another teacher about whether or not we could get funding for a parent night we are planning. I stepped in to say I would take the lead on the paperwork (effectively ending the arguement). She's been pissy ever since.
Today on our field trip she was helping me round up our students and because I told another teacher who was along for the trip to go look for one particular student and I didn't tell her (because I didn't see her) she came over to me a few minutes later and made a snide comment "you know I work for (our counties name) too" I asked her to repeat it because it didn't make sense. Then she explained that I should have her look for the student. I tried to explain that I had not seen her, but she walked away.
So after school I tried to explain to her that I felt disrespected by her making comments and walking away. Her response was to say that she felt I was disrespecting her and she was talking to the parents and that one of them made a comment to her and she responded that she felt like I didn't value her. TO A PARENT.
So still trying to be understanding, but livid on the inside. I tell her if she has a problem with something I am doing then she needs to come and talk to me (at an appropriate time) She has no answer for this and circles back to how she feels disrespected. At this point I know the conversation is going no where and I tell her I'm tabling this and walk out.
This is the same woman who has told me I don't know anything because I don't have children and I've overheard her say "these white teachers don't know how to teach these black kids".
Thank god I don't go back until Tuesday. I'm going to have to put together an email for my principal, but she is awful at taking care of these kinds of things.
Having this baby in Septemeber and just not going back to work at all is sounding better and better every day.

@Kate6214 How annoying! At first I read your post that this woman was a student teacher, but looking back at your post it sounds like she'll be with you for the rest of the year. Eesh! I know there are awful people to work with in every profession, but people like that/principals who won't handle it are one reason it wasn't super hard for me to leave teaching once LO was born.

@psw27: hope u had a safe flight!
@gingerbebe: ugh, sorry u had such a scare with your hubby! Hoping u get some good news on Tuesday!
@farawayviolet: good luck with the appointments! Hoping they can find resolution for the pain! Ouch.
@Kate6214: man, I'd get her @ss fired! Although that's always easier said than done right? For some reason, schools and govt jobs or other jobs with unions, so hard to fire incompetent people.

Thanks for letting me get out all that crazy. I wrote an email to my principal. She will probably blow past it, but I know her email is being checked because she herself is on an action plan. So hopefully she will deal with things.
This is all coming at the worst time since this is the week I lost the baby last time. I'm trying hard to be as stress free as possible. Fortunately I get to go play with my cousins sweet twin boys who turned 1 this week. Anyone else have good plans for the weekend? How are everyone's symptoms?

Hi everyone! So excited for all of you--- I hope to be part of your board but I'm not sure where I stand. This is CD 25- tested a strong positive on a wondfo this AM. Then tested negative on two more wondfos 4 hours later. So frustrated. Not feeling anything abnormal. Hoping it's just early will update y'all soon.

@Lady Hibiscus: welcome!
Get a FRER. I tested positive (faint) one morning, and was negative that night. I figured it would happen and didn't stress over it. I had a positive again the following morning and am 7w now!

I think it's a false negative. I have been reading some complaints about false positives with wondfo. All the best for next 9 months for you ladies...!! Now I am hoping to have an October or November baby!!!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@Lady Hibiscus: I saw your picture, and I'd be really surprised if that was a false positives. The false positives I've seen on wondfos have been less clear, less pink. And you said you drank water before the later ones. I got a positive on a wondfo and a digital, then a false negative on a digital the next morning with fmu. False negatives are FAR more likely. Hoping you'll be able to stay with us, or at least join a due date board soon!

Are you ladies giving up coffee during the first tri? With my LO I didn't drink that much coffee before I was pregnant so it wasn't that hard to abstain, but this time it is killing me...I really want my morning cup!
honeydew / 7968 posts
@Pancakes: never really was into it! Try decaf! Although one or two cups a day should be ok!
coconut / 8498 posts
@Pancakes: I thought about it, because I basically gave it up while TTC in December. Then I just gave up. I've switched to half-caff coffee. I'm so thirsty all the time and drinking tons of water, so I tell myself it balances out some.

I have a sonoline b doppler I bought when I was pregnant with Chloe. We busted it out this morning just for fun. I didn't hear her HB at home until maybe 12-13 weeks, so we didn't expect much but ahhhh we heard the bambino! I forgot how amazing the heartbeat sounds. I go next Monday the 27th for my viability ultrasound so it was kind of cool to get that extra reassurance a week early.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: awesome! What does your Doppler pick up the HB as (#) right now?
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: awesome! I can't get mine to pick up that high just the 140s
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@T.H.O.U.: mine has 3 modes and #1 is real time. If I had it on 3 it was more like 130!
What mode are you using?

MS, hormones, exhaustion all in full swing. Felt like hell yesterday. Was a sick, cranky, whiny brat all day. Sobbed all through church service. Today made DH do a u turn to get me a meatball sub from Subway and while I was waiting in the car saw a Taco Bell across the street and wanted that instead. I didn't say anything to DH about it and ate half the sub but I may request a burrito for later!

@Kate6214: Ick. I taught for a few years and your situation sounds awful! (I'm on a break getting my masters at the moment - looks like I now won't be applying for jobs until the year!).
People who are passive aggressive in teaching can be so frustrating.
In other news: I got my thesis topic approved! Official start date is today! Super exciting - although my friend last night was online discussing it with me. She is debating doing her thesis but is currently 4 months pregnant and unsure. It was really hard to empathize without letting on that I am actually also pregnant!

I just went to the bathroom and had a lot of blood...is there a point in calling a doctor tonight?
